도화탕(桃花湯)이 백서(白鼠)의 소화성(消化性) 궤양(潰瘍) 및 장관수송능(腸管輸送能)에 미치는 영향(影響)

Objectives : In order to study the clinical efficiency of Dohwatang, based on Oriental Medical References, using experimental animals, we studied ulcers, gastric juice secretion, free acidity, total acidity, and the action of transport rates in the intestine. Methods : We used rats administered with the above herbs. Results : Dohwa-tang showed remarkable inhibitory effects on peptic ulcers, gastric juice secretion, free acidity, and total acidity in pyloricligated rat. It also showed remarkable inhibitory effects on the transportability in the large intestine of rats. But Dohwa-tang didn't show any remarkable difference on stressed rats. Conclusions : Dohwatang works better for chronic pyloristenosis-peptic ulcer and for diarrhea than acute stress ulcer.

영어의 비강세 약모음 schwa /e/의 음성실현

The present study examines the phonetic realizations of the unstressed weak vowel /e/ in English words produced by native and Korean ESL speakers. Traditionally, the stressed elements in utterance are considered to be prominent. In this sense, the unstressed weak vowel /e/ is predicted to be shorter in length, lower in pitch and intensity than the stressed vowels. The experiment shows that native English speakers correlate the unstressed weak vowel /e/ with both shorter duration and lower pitch; Korean ESL speakers correlate it with lower pitch only. We cannot find any significant statistical difference in intensity between /e/ and the stressed vowels in both cases. This study suggests it is important to acquire and produce the correct prosodic correlates of the unstressed weak vowel /e/ for Korean ESL speakers to command more natural English intonation, since /e/ is the most common vowel in English speech and consists of the English foot rhythm along with stressed vowels.

감귤 내 생리활성성분이 간암세포의 생존에 미치는 영향

Previous studies have suggested that Citrus fruits might suppress the proliferation of various cancer cells. However, little is known about any specific ingredients in the extract of Citrus fruits to exert its anti-proliferative activity in cancer cells. The present study aimed to identify the active ingredients in Citrus fruits to suppress the proliferation of rat hepatocellular carcinoma cells. Among tested compounds, two polymethoxylated flavones (nobiletin and tangeritin) showed significant anti-proliferative activity whereas other compounds (synephrine, rutin, hesperidin) did not. Interestingly, nobiletin as well as tangeritin also decreased the protein amount of gluconeogenic enzymes, PEPCK and G6Pase. The possible involvement of gluconeogenic activity in the proliferation of hepatocellulacarcinoma cells are further to be investigated.

홍경천(Rhodiola sachalinensis A. Bor)의 캘러스 배양에서 Salidroside생산

본 실험은 기내 배양된 홍경천으로부터 캘러스를 유도하고 가장 잘 자라는 생장조건을 찾기 위해 수행되었다. 실험 결과를 종합해 보면 캘러스의 증식을 위한 배양조건은 최적배지를 조사한 결과,2B$_{5}$배지에서 생장율이 가장 좋았으며, 탄소원으로는 sucrose를 3%로 첨가했을 때 생장율이 가장 높았다. 질소원으로써는 49.6mM KNO$_3$와 2.0mM (NH$_4$)$_2$SO$_4$를 첨가했을 때 생장율이 가장 좋았으며, 인산의 농도는 2.16mM에서 높은 생장율을 보였다. 암배양과 광배양을 비교했을 때 암배양의 경우가 생장율이 높았으며,pH6에서 세포의 생장율이 가장 좋은 조건임을 확인되었다. 기내에서 배양된 캘러스와 자연산 뿌리는 TLC로 분석하여 salidroside를 확인하였으며, HPLC로 salidroside를 정량한 결과, 자연상태 홍경천의 뿌리는 건중량 당 0.17%으로 나타났으며 5% sucrose처리구에서 0.41%의 생산성을 보여, 자연산 홍경천의 뿌리에 비하여 캘러스에서 salidroside의 함량이 높은 것으로 나타났다. Callus of Rhodiola sachalinensis A. Bor were induced from leaf explant on l/2MS solid supplemented with combination of auxin (2.4-D, NAA: 0.1∼2mg/L) and cytokinin (BA: 0.1∼0.2mg/L). The effects of various medium, culture conditions and phytohormones on the growth of callus were investigated. MS, WPM, B$_{5}$ medium and diluted or concentrated media (1/2X, 2X, 3X) were used to investigate the growth of callus on each media. Among these, the highest growth was observed when cultured in in 2B$_{5}$ medium containing 0.5mg/L NAA and 1mg/L BA, 3% sucrose and 49.6 mM KNO$_3$ as nitrogen source, and 2.16mM NaH$_2$PO$_4$ as phoshate source at $25^{\circ}C$ in the dark. The calli cultured with 5% sucrose produced high salidroside content (0.41% on the basis of dry wt) than normal root (0.17%).

$(1-x)CaWO_4-xYNbO_4$계 세라믹스의 마이크로파 유전특성

Microwave dielectric properties of $(1-x)CaWO_4-xYNbO_4$ ceramics have been investigated as a function of $YNbO_4$ content($0.05{\leq}x{\leq}0.4$). A single phase with tetragonal scheelite structure was obtained up to x=0.10 and then the secondary phase with fergusonite structure was increased. With the increase of $YNbO_4$ content, apparent densities of the specimens were decreased. This results were due to the lower theoretical density of $YNbO_4(5.581g/cm^3)$ than that of $CaWO_4(6.117g/cm^3)$. Dielectric constant(K) and quality factor(Qf) were decreased with $YNbO_4$ content which could be attribute to the decrease of density and the increase of secondary phase. Temperature coefficient of resonant frequency (TCF) of the specimens with the $YNbO_4$ content was depended on dielectric mixing rule.

건성피부 및 소양증에 대한 잘스밍R 크림의 임상효과에 대한 연구

Background: Xerosis is a relatively common disorder, especially in the elderly. The condition is characterized by fine scaling and is associated with generalized pruritus. Objective : The purpose of this study was to evaluate the clinical efficacy, safety and tolerability of Zalsming cream in patients with xerosis and pruritus. Methods : Thirty patients were treated with Zalsming cream. Clinical efficacy, as measured by the score of subjective symptom and objective signs, transepidermal water loss(TEWL) and electron microscopic finding, were asessed at 2, 4, and 6 weeks after topical application of the cream. Results . The scores of clinical signs and TEWL showed statistically significant improvements. No one developed any local or systemic side effects. Conclusion : Topical application of Zalsming cream was found to be effective and safe for patients suffering from xerosis and pruritus. (Kor J Dermatol 1997;35(3): 418-423)

아시아 여성의 국제결혼에 대한 미디어 담론

사회가 점차 개방적이고 세계적 변화 양상을 띠면서 지구화는 지구 곳곳에서 일어나는 보편적인 현상이 되었고 국제결혼을 통한 지구화 현상(globalization)은 한국에서도 쉽게 찾아볼 수 있는 현상이다. 특히 한국에서 일어나고 있는 국제결혼은 1995년을 기점으로 이주여성이라고 범주화하는 집단의 여성 비율이 남성을 능가하면서 이주의 여성화 경향으로 나타나고 있다. 이와 관련하여 이주의 여성화는 아시아 여성들이 성산업으로 유입되거나 매매혼 등 섹슈얼리티와 관련된 젠더 관계로 집중되면서 아시아 여성들이 이주를 통해 겪는 문제가 심악한 상황이다. 따라서 한국 내에서 이루어지고 있는 국제결혼의 모습은 지구화로 인한 이주 현상의 한 맥락이자 이주의 여성화현상이라고 할 수 있다. 본 연구는 최근 사회학적, 인류학적, 문화이론적, 그리고 달식민주의 페미니즘의 다양한 학문적 범주에서 다루어지는 디아스포라 논의에 대해 미디어에 재현되는 국제결혼의 모습에 집중하여 살펴보았다. 본 연구는 텔레비전 프로그램의 형식에 따라 드라마, 리얼리티 프로그램, 시사보도 프로그램, 그리고 영화와 인터넷 미디어를 통해 국제결혼을 통해 한국으로 이주한 아시아 여성의 재헌 방식을 살펴보았다. 연구 결과, 디아스포라 과정에서 국제결혼을 통해 이주한 아시아 여성들이 한국 미디어 내에서 여전히 남성 위주의 가부장적인 질서하에 놓여 있다는 것을 발견할 수 있었다. 아시아 여성들이 겪고 있는 강도 높은 가사 노동이 정당화되고 있으며 그것들이 ‘착한 며느리’, ‘순종적인 아내’라는 친밀한 역할로 정형화되면 서 남성에 의한 ‘타자화’가 일어나고 있거나 아니면 매매혼을 통해 피해자나 가해자로 사회적인 측면에서 ‘타자화’시키는 경우, 그리고 그들을 아예 성적인 대상으로 상품화시키는 과정을 살펴볼 수 있었다. 이로써 현재의 미디어 담론들은 국제결혼을 한 아시아 여성에게 ‘타자화’된 시선으로만 살펴보고 있으며 이들이 한국 사회의 구성원으로서 이야기되어야 할 것들이 무엇인지, 앞으로 미디어 담론은 이를 통해 어떠한 시선을 가져야 그들의 문제를 우리의 문제로 다룰 수 있는지 고민하게 해야 할 것이다. This paper focuses on how international marriages among Asians have been represented by the Korean media. Due to globalization, the so-called 'ethnoscape' has changed, and so ethnicity or racial identity within the boundaries of the nation-state changed. The recent diaspora of Asian women into Korea through international marriages has reflected how globalization has proceeded at a regional or local level. This paper attempts to analyze Koreanmedia discourses on the Asian female diaspora. This study analyzes what kind of generic forms TV dramas, other shows(TV reality programs, TV journalistic programs), movie and internet have employed to represent international marriages and how they have portrayed the subjectivities of the Asian female diaspora. This study discuss how this representation has been contested by the 'realities' of their international marriages. By examining how the Korean mainstream media have dealt with the conflicting issues of the Asian female diaspora, this paper intends to look critically at how local discursive practices have substantiated the changing ethnoscape. As a result of the study, this paper can find international marriages among Asians. have been represented by Korean media still patriarchal system in male-oriented society. The otherness of Asian women justify the strong work of household affairs, and so justified life is standardized 'a kind of daughter-in-law', 'a complaisant daughter-in-law' in the process of migration. Also the otherness of Asian women standardized 'a victor' or 'a harmer' through international marriage of money that commercialized 'sexuality'. After all Korea media discourse on Asian women's international marriage, the gender issues on it have not been focused on a serious level.

실화 영화에 대한 현실감 인식은 사회 참여에 어떠한 영향을 주는가?

영화는 즐거움을 전달하는 매체의 영역에만 머물러 있는 것이 아니라, 인지 또는 인식의 재고의 영역에까지 영향을 미치고 사회적인 이슈를 제기하고 고발하는 역할을 수행하기도 한다. 본 연구는 이러한 논의를 기반으로 사회고발 성격의 실화영화가 강세를 보이며 사회참여적 매체로 기능을 확장하고 있는 현상에 주목하고자 한다. 본 연구에서 유효한 표본 350명을 대상으로 밝혀낸 바는 다음과 같다. 내적현실감과 몰입 변인이 온·오프라인 사회적참여에 영향을 주는 주요 변인인 것으로 확인되었다. 참여행태로는 온라인과 오프라인 모두 실제 사건과 관련된 이슈를 알리거나 시청을 독려하고, 인터넷 기사에 의견을 담은 댓글을 작성하거나 이슈에 대한 정보를 추가 검색하는 등에 참여가 이루어지고 있었다. 즉, 수용자가 실화영화에 기반이 되는 실화에 내포된 공적 이슈를 인식하고, 이에 대한 정보 습득과 교환, 타인과의 의견 교류와 공감함으로써 대안을 제시하거나 문제 해결을 촉구하는 사회 참여까지 이어지고 있음을 확인하였다. 본 연구는 실화 영화에 대한 정의와 성격을 살펴보고, 실화 영화를 통해 경험하게 되는 심리적 특성, 사회적참여의 행태를 실증적 연구로써 이론적 기반을 제공하였다. 특히, 실화 영화를 시청한 관객이 사회적참여를 통해 미디어 공중과 영화 공론장의 성격을 갖는다는 것을 검증하였다는데 의의가 있다. Movies not only act as a medium conveying entertainment pleasure but they also affect the satisfaction of intrinsic needs and play role in accusing social issues. This study aims to examine the elements that affect social accusing movies with the characteristics complaining against society have on audiences’ psychological responses and social participation. Through survey, 350 samples were collected and the analyzed results are as follows: those movies had significant effects on the audiences’ on/offline social participation. The social issues and disputes addressed by the social accusing movies made the acceptors have critical mind on communities, while the movies extended those issues and disputes to the problems of a system, and showed a pattern that those issues and disputes evolve into the public through discussions and issue expansion. This study provides some significant findings that reinforce the underlying theories. First, psychological traits of the audiences who watched true story movies were revealed and second, it was verified whether the audiences’ experiences of social participation create a consensus arena of movies and affect them to become public of the media.

영화에 나타난 결혼식장의 화훼장식 분석

This study was carried out to open up a special field in the flower design regarding the distinctness of cinemas and image media to foster a right culture of wedding flowers, and to collect basic data for the education of wedding flower. Focusing on the wedding flowers of wedding movies, we have also analyzed 62 floral decorations for the wedding hall intended for 52 movies. The wedding hall were in order of church (46.8%), a wedding hall (22.6%), and an open air (21.0%). In Korean movies, wedding was usually held in the wedding halls, however, it was most held in church in foreign cinemas. The floral decoration types of wedding hall were virgin road (33.8%), platform (16.9%), arch (12%), candlestick (12.0%), and the other surrounding decoration (22.5%) in 62 movies. Virgin road were mainly used in the church or the chapel by 52.1%, and those decoration shape were round (41.7%), cascade (25.5%), bunch and the others (33.3%). The most places on platform decoration was the wedding hall by 45.8%, and decoration shape were flat (75.0%) and fall (25.0%). Arch decoration were mainly open air (52.1%), and arch shape were round (64.7%) and an angle like triangle (35.3%). The most floral decoration shape was a simple shape by 76.5%. The candlestick decoration were mainly used in the wedding hall, the church, and the chapel by 47.4%, and their decoration shapes were wreath shape (36.8%), crescent shape (31.6%), round and line shape (15.8%). Kinds of flowers used for the floral decoration in the wedding hall were Rosa hybrida (32.6%), Lilium spp. (20.9%), and Dendranthema grandiflora (13.2%). And Gladiolus spp. was also used as a linear form.
