        The Effect of Postoperative Korean Traditional Medicine for the of Proximal Humeral Fracture: A Case Report

        The purpose of this case study is to examine the effects of Korean traditional medicine in the postoperative treatment of proximal humeral fracture. The patient with postoperative pain following proximal humeral fracture surgery was treated with Korean traditional medicine including acupuncture cupping therapy and herbal medicine in hospital for 67 days. The effects of the treatment were evaluated using the Numerical Rate Scale (NRS), Range Of Motion (ROM), and Shoulder Pain and Disability Index (SPADI). As a result of treatment, the NRS score was reduced from 7 to 3, the ROM was improved (on average by 21%), SPADI was reduced from 93 to 25.9. This study proposes that Korean traditional medicine may be effective in postoperative treatment for proximal humeral fracture.

        가지산의 자생 본초 문헌 조사

        The purpose of present study was investigated for the medicinal herbs in Mt. Gaji (Gyeongnam province). The list of Data Base was built by research papers and herbological books were published at Korea and China. The list was made about the medicinal herbs of Mt. Gaji (Gyeongnam province) and identified as 312 taxa in total, including 98 families. Out of those, 137 plants were found in official compendium, 40 plants in KP (Korean Pharmacopoeia), 77 plants in KHP (Korean Herbal Pharmacopoeia), 68 plants in CP (Chinese Pharmacopoeia), 35 plants in JP (Japanese Pharmacopoeia).

        천연 고분자가 함유된 락타이드 글리콜라이드 공중합체 필름에서 슈반세포의부착과 증식 거동 비교평가

        본 연구에서는 신경세포인 슈반세포(SC)의 증식에 가장 적합한 생체재료를 연구하였다. 락타이드 글리콜라이드 공중합체(PLGA)에 탈미네랄 골분(demineralized bone particle, DBP), 소장점막하조직(small intestine submucosa,SIS), 그리고 실크를 각각 20% 첨가하여, 용매 증발법으로 각각의 필름을 제조하고, SC세포의 부착과 증식을 확인하기 위해 MTT, SEM 그리고 RT-PCR 분석을 실시하였다. 또한 필름의 친수성을 확인하기 위해 접촉각을 측정하였다. 분석 결과, PLGA/DBP 20% 필름에서 높은 친수성을 보였으며, SC의 부착과 증식률이 다른 군에 비해 크게증가한 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서 PLGA/DBP 필름은 중추신경재생 재료로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다. This study was designed to find an appropriate biomaterial to proliferate Schwann cell (SC). Poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA) films mixed with demineralized bone particle (DBP), small intestine submucosa (SIS), and silk were fabricated by a solvent casting method. Analysis of MTT, SEM and RT-PCR were performed to confirm adhesion and proliferation of SC. Contact angle of films was assayed for hydrophilicity of films. We confirmed that PLGA/DBP 20% film showed higher hydrophilicity, promoted adhesion and proliferation of SC than other films. It was concluded that PLGA/DBP film can be applied for the scaffold biomaterials for the regeneration of central nerve system.

        비내력벽을 가진 RC모멘트저항골조의 취약도 해석

        국내에 많이 건설되고 있는 빌라형 주택은 건축적인 요구를 위하여 저층부에 필로티를 두고 있는 경우가 많다. 구조물 상층부의 비내력벽에 의하여 저층에 연약층을 유발하고 따라서 지진에 매우 취약하다. 그러나 설계시 일반적인 설계방법과 동일하게 상부층의 칸막이벽은 비구조체로 간주되어 무시된다. 그러므로 설계단계에서 무시되는 비내력벽의 유무에 따라서 건축물이 어떠한 지진거동의 차이점을 보이는지 살펴볼 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 대상 건축물의 지진취약도 해석을 통하여 비내력벽의 유무에 따른 건축물의 지진거동을 평가하였다. 비내력벽의 유무에 따른 동일한 골조를 가지는 저층 철근콘크리트 건축물을 적용하여 지진거동에서 비내력벽의 영향을 평가하였다. 비내력벽은 보편화된 모형화 방법인 등가의 대각 압축 스트럿으로 고려하였다. 골조만 있는 모델과 연약층이 있는 모델의 취약도곡선을 비교하였다. 해석 결과로 연약층이 있는 RC 건물의 내진성능은 설계기준에서 제시하고 있는 성능수준을 만족하지 못하며 지진에 취약함을 보여준다. Many of residential buildings, which have pilotis in lower stories to meet the architectural needs, are recently constructed in Korea. Usually, infill walls located in the upper stories of these buildings may cause a soft first story, which is very weak from the earthquake resistance. In the design of the buildings, the infill walls of upper stories are usually considered as non-structural elements and thus they are not included in the analytical model. However, the infill walls may affect the seismic behavior of the residential buildings. Therefore, the differences in seismic behaviors of RC buildings with and without masonry infill walls are required to be investigated. In this study, seismic fragility analyses were performed for masonry infilled low-rise RC moment-resisting frames. And seismic behaviors of RC moment-resisting frame with/without masonry infill walls were evaluated. Two types of structural system with the same frame and different allocation of infill walls are used to evaluate the influence of masonry infill walls on seismic behavior of RC moment-resisting frames. The infill walls were modeled as bi-equivalent diagonal struts. The fragility analyses show that the seismic performance of RC moment-resisting frames with soft story is below the desirable building seismic performance level recommended by current seismic codes, indicating high vulnerability of RC moment-resisting frames with soft story.

        비내력벽을 가진 RC모멘트저항골조의 지진거동 평가

        철근콘크리트 건축물에서 비내력벽(Masonry Infill Walls)은 내부 칸막이벽이나 중저층 규모의 건물 외벽에 흔히 사용된다. 그렇지만 대부분의 경우에 비내력벽은 비구조체이므로 구조설계시 건물의 모형화에서 무시된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 비내력벽을 보편화된 모형화 방법인 등가의 대각 압축 스트럿(Equivalent Diagonal Strut)으로 고려하여 비내력벽의 유무에 따른 저층 철근콘크리트 건축물의 전체적인 지진거동의 양상을 평가하고자 하였다. 해석결과로 비내력벽을 고려하면 시스템의 추가적인 강도 및 강성을 확보하여 층간변위비를 줄일 수 있으나 진동주기가 짧아져서 설계단계에서 고려한 지진하중보다 큰 하중을 받게 된다. 연약층이 있는 모델의 경우에는 기둥에 소성거동이 집중됨을 알 수 있으며 부분적인 붕괴가 전체 시스템의 붕괴 원인의 가능성을 가진다. Masonry infill walls are frequently used as interior partitions and exterior walls in low- or middle- rise RC buildings. In the design and assessment of buildings, the infill walls are usually treated as non-structural elements and they are ignored in analytical models because they are assumed to be beneficial to the structural responses. Therefore, their influences on the structural response are ignored. In the case of buildings constructed in the USA in highly seismic regions, infill walls have a lower strength and stiffness than the boundary frames or they are separated from the boundary frames. Thus, the previously mentioned assumptions may be reasonable. However, these systems are not usually employed in most other countries. Therefore, the differences in the seismic behaviors of RC buildings with/without masonry infill walls, which are ignored in structural design, need to be investigated. In this study, structural analyses were performed for a masonry infilled low-rise RC moment-resisting frame. The infill walls were modeled as equivalent diagonal struts. The seismic behaviors of the RC moment-resisting frame with/without masonry infill walls were evaluated. From the analytical results, masonry infill walls can increase the global strength and stiffness of a structure. Consequently, the interstory drift ratio will decrease but seismic forces applied to the structure will increase more than the design seismic load because the natural period of the structure decreases. Partial damage of the infill walls by the floor causes vertical irregularity of the strength and stiffness.

        말로우와 셰익스피어의 가치 전복적 현상들

        This paper attempts to explore some subversive moments in Marlowe’s and Shakespeare’s plays. Among those subversive phenomena, this paper focuses mainly on ironical scenes of education rendered in a form analogous to catechism, that is to say, a way of finding truth or delivering meaningful messages through conversation between two characters. It is notable that education is a substantial means of transmitting a traditional value system to posterity, but the educational moments analyzed in this paper are fairly ironical due to subversive and even transgressive elements and outcomes which occurred in the course of catechism. In so doing, this paper will explore a clash of value systems during the English Renaissance period and the tension between humanists’ idealism and pragmatists’ realism as an inevitable and concomitant phenomenon during the transition period. .
