        Hypoxia-hindered methylation of PTGIS in endometrial stromal cells accelerates endometriosis progression by inducing CD16− NK-cell differentiation

        Prostacyclin (PGI2) plays key roles in shaping the immune microenvironment and modulating vasodilation, whereas its contribution to endometriosis (EMs) remains largely unclear. Our study suggested that prostacyclin synthase (PTGIS)-dependent PGI2 signaling was significantly activated in EMs, which was involved in the hypoxic microenvironment of ectopic lesions and deficient methylation status of the PTGIS promoter. Notably, in vitro assays, hypoxia promoted PTGIS expression through DNA methyltransferase 1 (DNMT1)-mediated DNA methylation deficiency in endometrial stromal cells (ESCs); PTGIS overexpression enhanced the adhesive ability of ESCs and led to elevated PGI2 production, and PGI2 triggered CD16− (encoded by FCGR3, Fc fragment of IgG receptor IIIa) natural killer (NK)-cell differentiation through PGI2 receptor (IP, PTGIR) in an ESC/NK-cell coculture system. Our rodent model experiment suggested that treatment with the PGI2 analog iloprost and adoptive transfer of fcgr3 knockout (fcgr3−/−) NK cells aggravated EMs progression and that genetic ablation of ptgis (ptgis−/−) in ectopic lesions and treatment with the PTGIR antagonist RO1138452 partially rescued this outcome. Thus, our findings identified the contribution of PGI2 to EMs progression via enhancement of the adhesive ability of ESCs and inhibition of the activity of NK cells. We hypothesized that PGI2 is a target for EMs intervention and provide a rationale for studying pharmacological PTGIR inhibition and PTGIS genetic depletion therapies as therapeutic strategies for EMs.

      • Adenovirus-mediated Expression of Both Antisense Ornithine Decarboxylase and S-adenosylmethionine Decarboxylase Induces G<sub>1</sub> Arrest in HT-29 Cells

        To evaluated the effect of recombinant adenovirus Ad-ODC-AdoMetDCas which can simultaneously express both antisense ornithine decarboxylase (ODC) and S-adenosylmethionine decarboxylase (AdoMetDC) on cell cycle distribution in colorectal cancer cell and investigated underlying regulatory responses, human colorectal cancer cells HT-29 were cultured in RPMI 1640 medium and infected with Ad-ODC-AdoMetDCas. Cell cycle progression was detected by flow cytometry analysis. The expression levels of cell cycle regulated proteins were measured by Western blot analysis. The mRNA level of cyclin D1 was measured by RT-PCR. And a luciferase reporter plasmid of cyclin D1 promoter was constructed to observe the effect of Ad-ODC-AdoMetDCas on cyclin D1 promoter activity. The results showed that recombinant adenovirus Ad-ODC-AdoMetDCas significantly induced $G_1$ arrest, decreased levels of cyclin D1 protein and mRNA and suppressed the promoter activity. Ad-ODC-AdoMetDCas also inhibited nuclear translocation of $\beta$-catenin. In conclusion, downregulation of ODC and AdoMetDC mediated by Ad-ODC-AdoMetDCas transfection induces $G_1$ arrest in HT-29 cells and the arrest was associated with suppression of cyclin D1 expression and inhibition of $\beta$-catenin nuclear translocation. As a new anticancer reagent, the recombinant adenovirus Ad-ODC-AdoMetDCas holds promising hope for the therapy of colorectal cancers.

      • Research on Performance and E-business Strategy in SME’s Enterprises Based on Dynamic Competitive Ability

        With the development of e-commerce, more and more small and medium enterprises begin to start building their own business platform; it is undeniable that e-commerce technology to business development brings new opportunities. In this paper, we make an empirical analysis to test how enterprises could improve their cooperative performance by developing their E-business strategy. The result shows that IT competitiveness including process cooperation ability and knowledge sharing capability, enterprises’ dynamic capability including relationship ability, agile Enterprise and operation innovation. Through regression analysis, we find that dynamic capabilities play an important role in the process of enterprise competition. On this basis, we put forward relevant policy suggestions.

By the famous work, HUANG Zong-xi created the Ming-philosophical-history development process, which poached in a way that Confucius is the main-stone, ideology is the main-steam. Such framework shows scholars reason spirit in their efforts, so-called “to take on”, “to disclose the different aspects of minds”. All these purchase, not only means much to the philosophical history study, but shows us another way to analyze HUANG Zong-xi’s political-ethical thoughts about reconstruction of the Scholar-orthodoxy etc. [Article in Chinese]

      • Parameters Adaptive Control of Uncertain Chaotic Systems

        The bound of static uncertain function of chaotic system is required to be known by using adaptive method in many past research papers. Or many papers only considered the situation of the systems with simple uncertain nonlinear functions. In this paper, a kind of generalized chaotic systems are taken as an example, and an adaptive control algorithm with static uncertain nonlinear functions is proposed to control chaotic systems. The requirements for nonlinear function of system is relaxed by using the proposed algorithm. It only requires that the bound of the nonlinear functions in the system model exists and some part of it is known. At last, detailed numerical simulation is done to testify the rightness of the proposed method. It shows that the stabilization and tracking of chaotic system with static uncertain functions can be realized with a quick response by using the proposed algorithm.

        Identification and comparative profiling of microRNAs in wild-type Xanthoceras sorbifolia and its double flower mutant

        MicroRNAs are small, non-coding RNAs that regulate gene expression post-transcriptionally and have crucial roles in plant biological and metabolic processes. To date, there has been no report concerning miRNAs in Xanthoceras sorbifolia, one of the most important woody energy plants for biofuel production. To study the roles of miRNAs during floral organ differentiation and development in X. sorbifolia, two small RNA libraries were constructed from the flower buds of simple flowers (wild-type) and double flowers (mutant). Each library was sequenced individually and generated over 33 million raw reads in total. Forty-three conserved miRNAs belonging to 30families and 10 novel miRNAs were identified. The expressions of a selected group of conserved and novel miRNAs were validated by qRT-PCR. Target gene prediction identified 230 target genes for most of the conserved and novel miRNAs. Fifteen miRNAs were demonstrated to be differentially ex-pressed between wild-type and mutant. This is the first study to identify conserved and novel miRNAs and profile their expression changes during floral organ differentiation and development in X. sorbifolia.

        Adaptive OFDMA with Partial CSI for Downlink Underwater Acoustic Communications

        Multiuser communication has been an important researcharea of underwater acoustic communications and networking. This paper studies the use of adaptive orthogonal frequencydivisionmultiple access (OFDMA) in a downlink scenario, wherea central node sends data to multiple distributed nodes simultaneously. In practical implementations, the instantaneous channelstate information (CSI) cannot be perfectly known by the centralnode in time-varying underwater acoustic (UWA) channels, due tothe long propagation delays resulting from the low sound speed. In this paper, we explore the CSI feedback for resource allocation. An adaptive power-bit loading algorithm is presented, which assignssubcarriers to different users and allocates power and bits toeach subcarrier, aiming to minimize the bit error rate (BER) underpower and throughput constraints. Simulation results show considerableperformance gains due to adaptive subcarrier allocationand further improvement through power and bit loading, as comparedto the non-adaptive interleave subcarrier allocation scheme. In a lake experiment, channel feedback reduction is implementedthrough subcarrier clustering and uniform quantization. Althoughthe performance gains are not as large as expected, experiment resultsconfirm that adaptive subcarrier allocation schemes based ondelayed channel feedback or long term statistics outperform theinterleave subcarrier allocation scheme.

        Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Squeeze Cast Al-5 Mg-3Zn-1Cu-1Si Alloy Along Cross Section

        The variation of microstructure and mechanical properties along the cross section of squeeze cast Al-5Mg-3Zn-1Cu-1Sialloy is studied under both squeeze-cast and peak-aged condition (470 °C × 24 h + 125 °C × 24 h). For squeeze-cast alloy,along the depth direction, second dendrite arm space and the percentage of -Al increase significantly, while the volumefraction of T-Mg32(AlZnCu)49 and Mg2Siphase showed a dramatic decrease. The ultimate tensile strength of squeeze-castalloy slightly decreased from 357.04 MPa for the surface layer to 344.21 MPa for the central layer, yield strength droppedfrom 296.86 MPa to 241.03 MPa, but the elongation almost tripled from 1.42% to 3.78%. After peak aging, the ultimatetensile strength of surface layer and central layer reached 538.45 MPa and 504.03 MPa, yield strength reached 447.46 MPaand 442.65 MPa, and the elongation reached 5.23% and 3.97% respectively. Meanwhile the difference of ultimate tensilestrength and elongation was increased, but that of yield strength reduced after aging treatment. Precipitation strengtheningis the main strengthening mechanism while the improvement in ductility is due to the dissolution of T-Mg32(AlZnCu)49 andthe morphological change of eutectic Mg2Si.
