In Dae Jeon Eul-Ji General Hospital, activated since 1581, 54 patients with Korean Hemorrhagic Fever Who were all positive for Korea antigen were observed from January, 1981 to December, 1984. Epidemiology, clinical features, laboratory findings, complications and clinical course in Korean Hemorrhagic Fever were analyzed. The results were as follows: 1. The most prevalent area was OK-Chun Kun. 2. The peak incidence of age was fifth decade and male to female ratio was 2:1. 3. The peak incidence was November to December. 4. The most frequent symptomes were epigastric pain, nausea and vomiting and followed by hemsturia. 5. Conservative treatment was done and hemodialysis was performed in 19 patients without death.
Optimal Culture Conditions and Isolation of a ι-Carrageenase-producing Marine Bacterium

A bacterial strain capable of hydrolyzing carrageenan was isolated from the coast of Busan in Korea. The isolated strain (HS5322) is aerobic, gram-negative, rod-shaped, and motile. Comparison of the 16S rDNA of the isolate with that of known Pseudomonas sp. showed that sequence similarity was at most 95%, implying that the isolate is a new Pseudomonas species. The organism grew optimally at NaCl concentrations of 2.0 to 2.5%. The optimum temperature and pH for carrageenase production in a 72-h flask culture containing 1% carrageenan was $20^{\circ}C$ and pH 8.5, respectively. Of the synthetic substrates tested, the highest enzyme activity was obtained with p-nitrophenyl ${\beta}$-D-galactopyranoside.

The toxicity of organophosphate arises from disruption of the nervous system due to the inhibition of cholinesterase enzymes, leading to death. Six dead mallards were found at Ansung where is one of the most popular wintering sites for migratory birds in Korea, and requested for diagnosis to Gyeonggi Veterinary Service on January of 2007. Some examinations including polymerase chain reaction(PCR) could not find any evidence of specific disease condition. However, the contents of gastrointestinal tracts of the birds contained residues of monocrotophos ranged from 31.3ppm to 294.3ppm by gas chromato-graphy and mass spectrometry. It can be supposed that monocroptophos was responsible for the death of mallards by this results,

The present study was conducted to investigate the biochemical properties, pathogenicity, antimicrobial test, and serotype of E-coli isolated from slaughtered cattle during the period from March 1991 to May 1991. 1. A total of 12 E-coli isolates were isolated from 132 bile juice of slaughtered cattle. 2. All isolates were resistant to Erythromycin, Cephalothin, Neomycin and Lincomycin while the majority of them were susceptible to Trimethoprimsulfamethoxazol(67%), Chioramphenicol (58%), Gentamicin(58%), Ampicillin (17%), Kanamycin (9%) and Tetracycline(9%). 3. In the test of colicinogenecity and congo red binding capability, 4(33%) isolates produced colicin, all isolates were congo-red negative. 4. The serotypes of isolated E-coli were identified as 088: K-(2 strain), 015: K-(1 strain), 08: K87: K88ab(1 strain), 0139: K12(1 strain), 0147: K89(1 strain), others(6 strains) were autoagglutination.

Proposed RF Front-End provides low noise performance in UWB application. 2 stage common gate and common source stage shows low noise, wide input matching and widely flat gain response. With simple single balanced mixer the total conversion gain is 16㏈, input matching is under -10㏈. The SSB noise figure is merely 2.7~3㏈ in 7~10㎓ frequency range. The RF Front-End is implemented by 0.13㎛ CMOS technology. The total power consumption is 11㎃/1.2V.

잠수함과 같은 대형 복합무기체계는 일반적인 무기체계의 램(RAM: Reliability, Availability, Maintainability) 목표 값 설정 방법을 적용 및 검증하는 것은 제한적이다. 잠수함은 소나체계, 무장체계 등 다수의 무기체계로 구성되어 있어 운용형태종합 및 임무(OMS: Operational Mode Summary/MP: Mission Profile)의 다양성, 장비의 복잡성 등의 특성을 갖는 복합무기체계이기 때문이다. 따라서 기존 무기체계의 개발사례 즉, 램 목표 값 설정 사례를 분석하고, 사례에 대한 문제점 및 제한사항을 도출하여 잠수함의 램 목표 값 설정 및 검증을 위한 개선방안을 제시하였다. 또한 잠수함은 다른 무기체계와는 달리 전 세계지역을 운용환경으로 하며, 서로 다른 운용조건 및 정비조건을 가진다. 이런 이유로, 잠수함의 램 목표 값은 구성하는 모든 구성품이 아닌, 임무 필수장비와 임무 중요장비를 중심으로 설정하고 검증해야 한다. 이에 본 연구는 잠수함건조 국방획득사업 추진시 잠수함의 체계 및 장비의 물리적인 성능요구와 더불어, 요구되는 성능 램 목표 값 설정에 대하여 검증하는 방법을 잠수함의 특성을 고려한 현실성 있는 방안을 제시하였다. In the case of large combined weapon systems, such as submarines, the application, and verification of methods of setting the reliability, availability, and maintainability (RAM) target values for conventional weapon systems are limited. Submarines are complex weapon systems with the characteristics of the diversity of operation mode summary and mission profiles (OMS/MP) as well as equipment complexity because they are composed of multiple weapon systems, such as sonar systems and armed systems. Therefore, this study analyzed the development cases of existing weapon systems, i.e., the RAM target value-setting cases, and derived the problems and limitations of the cases to present measures to improve the setting and verification of the ram target values of submarines. In addition, submarines operate around the world and have different operating and maintenance conditions. Therefore, a submarine"s ram target values should be set and verified centering on the mission essential equipment and mission critical equipment, instead of all components that constitute weapon systems. This study examined a method to verify the required performance RAM target-value setting, considering the characteristics of submarines as well as the physical performance requirements for the systems and equipment of submarines that must be considered when implementing national defense acquisition projects for submarines.

Since bovine leukosis caused considerable economic loss to the dairy industry, seroepidemiological survey on bovine leukosis was carried out for the dairy herds in Kyunggi province. 1. When compared the results of immunodifussion test with those of enzyme-linked immunosor-bent assay(ELISA) for 94 dairy herds sera, the relationship between the immunodifussion test and ELISA were showen high corresponding rate with sensitivity(97.5%) and specificity(92.6%). 2. In immunodiffusion test for bovine leukosis virus (BLV) antibody in 570 dairy cattle from 30 herds, mean positive rate for BLV antibody was 28.2 %. The positive rate by districts were 16.5% in central, 35.4% in east, 17.3% in west, 29.1% in south, 31.6% in north, 43.7% in northeast. 3. When the results of serological studies was analyzed by age groups, the number of positive was increased gradually with the advanced in age of herds. The highest positive rate was found in the age over 6 years. 4. Of 30 dairy herds examined, 5 herds(16.7%) have no reactions against BLV antigen while 15 herds (50%) showed the range of 1~5 positive cattle and 5 herds(16.7%), the rang of over 11 positive cattle.
