      • Research on College Students' English Learning Based on Network Language Differences between Chinese and English

        The rapid development of network brings new opportunities for online education, the network language gradually become a new hot spot. Modern information technology provides infinite possibility for the classroom teaching, in this paper, we focus on the motivation of college students to use the network language, and hope to provide scientific and effective measuring tool for the related research of network language. The results showed that under the significance level of 0.05, grade and the often use network language has significant influence to expressing strategy, junior student are more inclined to use the internet language. At the same time, there is no difference in gender and specialty of College Students' network language; this shows that gender differences are gradually weakened in the using of network language. On this basis, we put forward relevant suggestions.

        한국어 교육자 네트워크 구축 방안

        This research aims at suggesting plans to set up a world-wide network of Korean language educators. The paper examines discussions and suggestions made up to now on establish such a network and looks at the current situations of regional networks of Korean language educators world-wide. For this purpose the researcher has conducted a survey of constructing a world-wide network on representatives of regional networks. The result of such a survey and the issues triggered by the changes arisen in the field of Korean language education become the main objects of activities of a world-wide network. It, however, is not a easy task to build a network of Korean language educators world-wide. This paper makes suggestions on the main object, organizational system, activities, etc., though being not sure for their feasibility. The research, in the realm of Korean language education policies, is expected to incite further and continuous discussions on such a world-wide network of Korean language educators.

        연결망 분석도구를 이용한 크리스토퍼 알렉산더 패턴언어 활용 가능성에 관한 연구

        연결망 분석도구를 이용한 크리스토퍼 알렉산더의 패턴언어 활용 가능성 확대를 위해 진행한 본 연구의 진행과 결과를 정리하면 다음과 같다. 패턴언어의 복잡한 관계구조를 이해하기 위해 연결망 분석도구를 이용해 전체 패턴언어를 분석하였다. 이를 통해 도시, 건축, 시공의 ‘보다 큰’ 패턴과 ‘보다 작은’ 패턴이 연결되는 관계구조의 특징을 정리하였고, 6개의 모듈을 통해서 새로운 패턴을 선택하는 방법을 제시하였다. 또한 패턴언어 사용도구로써의 연결망 도구의 가능성을 시험하기 위해 알렉산더가 제시한 4개의 사례를 연결망 배치도로 제작하였다. 이를 통해 기존 패턴언어 사용방법의 문제점을 해결하였으며, 패턴언어의 완성도를 높일 수 있는 가능성을 제시하였다. 또한 새롭게 추가되는 패턴의 관계연결 문제점을 밝히며 이후 연구과제의 방향을 제시하였다. This study is aimed to increase the possibility of using the Christopher Alexander’s pattern language. The methodology of this study is (i) to analyze the pattern language by using the network analysis tool in order to understand the complicate network structure of the pattern language, and (ii) to apply the Alexander’s method of using the pattern language by using the network analysis tool (Gephi) and to examine the feasibility of the network analysis tool as a tool for using the pattern language. Firstly, as a result of analysing the pattern language, (i) the pattern language classified by pattern number is distinguished by the patterns of towns, buildings and construction, among which the pattern of buildings plays a key function in the networks; (ii) the buildings functions a medium connecting between the towns and the construction; and (iii) the pattern language is divided into 6 sub-modules, through which the user can select a pattern. Secondly, the result of using the network analysis tool as a tool for using the pattern language (i) suggests the new method of using the pattern language by using the network analysis tool (Gephi); (ii) makes it possible to easily figure out the characteristics of the links between the patterns; and (iii) increases the completeness of the pattern language by making it easy to find out the sub-patterns in selecting a pattern.

        LDA 토픽모델링 기반 프랑스어교육 연구 동향 및 토픽 분석

        Objectives The purpose of this study is to examine the current status and problems of researches on French language education, and also to present the future direction of French language education and researches by analyzing the trend and topics of researches on French language education using the topic modeling. Methods Through the LDA-based topic modeling which is the most representative topic modeling that automatically extracts and classifies latent topics as a text mining technique used for the analysis of a large quantity of texts, this study analyzed the network between four topic contents and topics focusing on the keywords of 265 theses on French language education published from January 2002 to February 2021. Results The results of this study were drawn as follows. First, due to the decreased French language education in secondary school and university, the researches on French language education record the low level despite some differences in each year. Second, in the results of examining the appearance frequency of keywords, it was shown in the order of ‘French language education’, ‘Curriculum’, ‘French language’, ‘communication skills’, and ‘French language as a foreign language’. This shows the active performance of researches focusing on the curriculum that becomes the standard of Korean secondary French language education, and communication skills as its important goal, and very limited topics handled in researches on French language education. Third, total four topics were extracted through the topic modeling, and the weight of each topic was shown in the order of ‘college French language education’, ‘secondary French language education’, ‘communicative approach’, and ‘action-oriented approach’. This study also verified that the researches on French language education were concentrated on a specific area or limited to the level or contents of theories or policies. Thus, it would be necessary to perform researches on various teaching/learning methodologies for improving students’ interest or expanding the teaching/learning contents that could be concretely applied to school field. Fourth, in the analysis of network between topics, focusing on French language, the foreign language, curriculum, learning, textbook, communication skills, learner, culture, French language education, education, and France were connected to each other while the French language education, France, culture, and education were forming another network. Conclusions This study verified the necessity of researches on various teaching/learning methods for diversifying and expanding the research field related to French language education, and also motivating and improving interest of learners. 목적 본 연구의 목적은 토픽모델링을 활용한 프랑스어교육 연구 동향 및 토픽 분석을 통해 프랑스어교육 연구 현황 및 문제점을 살펴보고 향후 프랑스어교육 및 연구의 방향을 제시하는 것이다. 방법 대량의 텍스트 분석에 사용되는 텍스트마이닝 기법의 하나로 잠재적 주제인 토픽들을 자동으로 추출하여 분류하는 토픽모델링 중 가장 대표적인 LDA 기반 토픽모델링으로 2002년 1월부터 2021년 2월까지 발표된 프랑스어교육 관련 논문 265편의 주제어를 중심으로 네 개의 토픽 내용 및 토픽 간의 네트워크를 분석하였다. 결과 다음과 같은 연구 결과를 도출하였다. 첫째, 프랑스어교육 연구는 전반적인 중등 및 대학에서의 프랑스어교육의 위축으로 해마다 정도의 차이는 있으나 저조한 수준에 그치고 있다. 둘째, 주제어의 출현 빈도 순위를 살펴본 결과 ‘프랑스어교육’, ‘교육과정’, ‘프랑스어’, ‘의사소통능력’, ‘외국어로서의 프랑스어’ 등의 순으로 나타났다. 이는 우리나라 중등 프랑스어 교육의 준거가 되는 교육과정과그 중요 목표인 의사소통 능력을 중심으로 한 연구가 활발하게 수행되었다는 것과 프랑스어교육 연구에서 다루는 주제가 매우 제한적임을 보여준다. 셋째, 토픽모델링을 통해 네 개의 토픽이 추출되었는데 토픽별 비중은 ‘대학 프랑스어 교육’, ‘중등 프랑스어 교육’, ‘의사소통 접근법’, ‘행위중심접근법’ 순이었다. 또한 프랑스어교육 연구가 특정 영역에 편중되거나 이론이나 정책적인 차원의 수준이나 내용에 머무르고 있음을 확인할 수 있다. 따라서 학교 현장에서 구체적으로 적용할 수 있는 교수⋅학습 내용 영역의 확대나학생들의 흥미 제고를 위한 다양한 교수⋅학습 방법론에 대한 연구가 필요한 것으로 드러났다. 넷째, 토픽들 사이의 네트워크 분석에서는 프랑스어를 중심으로 외국어, 교육과정, 학습, 교재, 의사소통능력, 학습자, 문화, 프랑스어교육, 교육, 프랑스가 연결되며 프랑스어교육, 프랑스, 문화, 교육은 또 다른 네트워크를 형성하는 것으로 나타났다. 결론 프랑스어교육 관련 연구 영역의 다변화 및 확장, 학습자의 동기 부여 및 흥미 제고를 위한 다양한 교수⋅학습 방법의 연구에대한 필요성을 확인하였다.

        언어네트워크 분석을 활용한 「선교와 신학」의 연구동향 분석

        In a hyper-connected society, efforts to digitalize various phenomena into networks and scientifically analyze the inherent characteristics in them are becoming increasingly important. The purpose of this study was to explore research trends in Mission and Theology, using a language network analysis that is suitable for the knowledge structure analysis of research papers. The research method was to design a language network analysis by constructing a network based on the co-occurrence of the keywords extracted from the abstracts, exploring the change patterns of the keywords by period, and analyzing the semantic network. To do this, the articles to be analyzed were collected, keywords were extracted and cleaned, and co-occurrence matrices and the network of keywords were developed before NetMiner was used for centrality and community analysis. When analyzing the keywords of Mission and Theology, “mission,” “mission theology,” “Korean church,” “God’s mission,” “ecumenical,” “Gospel,” “the Reformation,” and “culture” were found to be high in frequency and centrality. The research trends of the period shifted from the study of the global keywords, such as “world mission,” to the study of local keywords, such as “Korean church” or “local church.” “God’s mission” or “integral mission” tended to transition to a more contextual and practical discussion to embody the “missional church.” Furthermore, compared with the first half of the study, the second half showed the connections among the keywords in a linear form, and it was recommended that the connection between previous research and the follow-on studies needs to be strengthened. The limitation and delimitation of the study are the facts that the analysis was performed on the keywords, and the problem of bias because of the indexer effect was not excluded. However, this study is meaningful in that semantic networks were analyzed beyond frequency analysis of the research topics and that the change patterns were examined by period and the potential research topics beyond short-term research on the emergence and disappearance of the research topics. 초연결사회에서 다양한 현상들을 네트워크로 정보화하고, 그 속에 내재된 특성들을 과학적으로 분석하려는 노력이 점점 중요해지고 있다. 이 연구는 학술논문의 지식 네트워크 분석에 적합한 언어네트워크 분석을 활용해 「선교와 신학」의 연구 동향을 탐색하고 전망하려는 것이다. 연구방법은 초록에서 추출한 주제어 간의 동시출현을 기준으로 네트워크를 구성하여 주제어의 기간별 변화 양태를 탐색하고, 의미적 연결망을 분석하는 언어네트워크 분석으로 설계하였다. 이를 위해 분석할 논문을 수집하여 주제어를 추출・정제하고, 동시출현 행렬 및 주제어의 네트워크를 개발한 후 NetMiner 프로그램으로 중심성 및 커뮤니티 분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과에 따르면, 「선교와 신학」의 핵심 주제어는 선교, 선교신학, 한국교회, 하나님의 선교, 에큐메니칼, 복음, 종교개혁, 문화 순으로, 빈도와 중심성이 모두 높게 나타났다. 기간별 연구 동향은 글로벌한 ‘세계선교’에 대한 연구가 로컬한 ‘한국교회’ 및 ‘지역교회’를 주제어로 한 연구로 이행하고 있고, ‘하나님의 선교’나 ‘통전적 선교’는 ‘선교적 교회’를 구현하는 보다 상황적이며 실천적인 논의로 이행하는 양상을 띠고 있다. 또한 전반기 연구에 비해 후반기 연구는 주제어 간의 연결이 선형적인 형태를 띠므로 선행연구와 후속연구 간의 연결을 강화할 필요가 있음을 제안하였다. 연구의 한계점이자 제한점은 초록의 주제어를 분석한 것이고, 색인자 효과로 인한 편향의 문제를 배제하지 못했다는 점이다. 그러나 이 연구는 연구주제에 대한 빈도분석을 넘어 의미적 관계를 분석하였으며, 연구주제의 출현과 소멸에 대한 단발적 조사를 넘어 기간별 변화 양태 및 잠재적 연구주제를 논의했다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

        수화번역시스템을 위한 인공신경망의 응용

        In the case of a hearing impaired person using sign language, there are many difficulties in communicating with a normal person who does not understand sign language. The sign language translation system is a system that enables communication between the hearing impaired person using sign language and the normal person who does not understand sign language in this situation. Previous studies on sign language translation systems for communication between normal people and hearing impaired people using sign language are classified into two types using video image system and shape input device. However, the existing sign language translation system does not solve such difficulties due to some problems. Existing sign language translation systems have some problems that they do not recognize various sign language expressions of sign language users and require special devices. Therefore, in this paper, a sign language translation system using an artificial neural network is devised to overcome the problems of the existing system.

        한국어 보급 네트워크 거점 사례 분석 연구 -미국의 신설(애틀랜타) 한국교육원을 중심으로-

        The purpose of this study is to analyze the Korean language spread network in the Southeastern United States based on network theory, and further presents a future-oriented vision and strategy. The Korean language spread network expands as the network recombines by attracting demand around overseas local hubs as human resources, systems, and policy projects interact. Moreover, the Korean Education Center is located as a base for spreading Korean language, specifically where supply and overseas demand meet. Therefore, by analyzing the case of the newly established Atlanta Korean Education Center, this paper tried to examine the structure and role as a local hub for disseminating Korean language. According to the analysis, the expansion process of the Korean spread network was found to be transforming and evolving through a virtuous cycle of overlapping structures with public diplomatic assets and multiplicity. Based on this, an expansion model of the Korean language spread network and a step-by-step strategy were established, and a future-oriented vision for Korean language globalization was presented.

        국어과 교육과정을 위한 빅 아이디어 탐색 - 교육 현장의 요구에 대한 언어 네트워크 분석을 바탕으로 -

        This study explored big ideas for the Korean language curriculum. To this end, expert opinions on big ideas in Korean language subjects were collected and the semantic relationships of major keywords were examined through semantic network analysis. In particular, the opinions of other subject teachers working in field schools were investigated and analyzed. They will be able to objectively convey the demands and expectations of learners and parents on Korean language education without being bound by what has traditionally been emphasized from the perspective of Korean language education insiders. Analysis of the keywords of big ideas in the Korean language revealed the term “language” appeared most often, followed by “human,” “understanding,” “diversity,” “communication,” “expression,” “others,” “self,” and “society” in order of frequency. Analysis of the semantic network revealed the keywords “language,” “understanding,” “human,” “diversity,” “communication,” “expression” had high degree centrality as well as eigenvector centrality and betweenness centrality. They were located at the center of the network and exerted a strong influence within the network. As a result of CONCOR analysis, 78 keywords were categorized into eight clusters. Each cluster formed the following semantic structure: “Importance of language in human life,” “Necessity of learning various communication methods and skills,” “Connecting with others and the world through communication,” “Resolving conflicts through empathic communication,” “Social and cultural influence on text,” “The value of enjoying literature,” “Problem solving through communication,” “Cultivating thinking through language and creating knowledge.”

      • 트위터의 소통 구조와 통신 언어 영역

        The purpose of this paper is to understand the communication structure and the function of the Twitter, and define its type as a net-language by analyzing the characteristics of Twitter language. We aim to introduce the active uses of languages occurring in the Twitter to Korean linguists. We are going to suggest the necessity and direction of research on Twitter language. In chapter 2, we look at the communication structure of the Twitter. In chapter 3, we provide an overview of linguistic features of the Twitter, and then we define its type of net-language. From the data analysis, it was verified that the Twitter is a "multi-function social network" which has the functions of chat room, bulletin boards, and e-mail communication. There are wide varieties of language in the Twitter: oral language or written language, dialogue or monologue, honorific or non-honorific, normative or non-normative expressions. Combining all these facts, Twitter language could be defined as a "unified net-language" that includes bulletin language, chat language, and e-mail language.

        One of the elements of technology that has become extremely critical within the field of education today is Deep learning. It has been especially used in the area of natural language processing, with some word-representation vectors playing a critical role. However, some of the low-resource languages, such as Swahili, which is spoken in East and Central Africa, do not fall into this category. Natural Language Processing is a field of artificial intelligence where systems and computational algorithms are built that can automatically understand, analyze, manipulate, and potentially generate human language. After coming to discover that some African languages fail to have a proper representation within language processing, even going so far as to describe them as lower resource languages because of inadequate data for NLP, we decided to study the Swahili language. As it stands currently, language modeling using neural networks requires adequate data to guarantee quality word representation, which is important for natural language processing (NLP) tasks. Most African languages have no data for such processing. The main aim of this project is to recognize and focus on the classification of words in English, Swahili, and Korean with a particular emphasis on the low-resource Swahili language. Finally, we are going to create our own dataset and reprocess the data using Python Script, formulate the syllabic alphabet, and finally develop an English, Swahili, and Korean word analogy dataset.
