온라인 구매 경험이 스마트폰을 이용한 거래 의도에 미치는 영향

        정승민,박주연 한국전문경영인학회 2014 專門經營人硏究 Vol.17 No.2

Online transaction using smartphone is big different from using Internet with computers. Assuming that the online purchase experience using Internet influences on the transaction intention using smartphone, the purpose of this paper is to examine the relationship between online purchase experience, perceived security risk, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use and the transaction intention using smartphone. This paper also examines the difference of security risk on the online transaction using Internet and smartphone. The result of this paper reveals that the security risk for online transaction shows no difference between Internet and smartphone usage. Moreover, the study reveals that the Internet purchase experience does not directly effect on the transaction intention using smartphone but that perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use play a mediating role between Internet purchase experience and transaction intention using smartphone. This result indicates that those who are used to more frequent purchase using Internet seems to understand better on the usefulness and ease to use of smartphone, and those who perceive more on usefulness and ease to use of smartphone tend to transact online via smartphone. Lastly, the perceived security risk is shown to have a negative effect on the transaction intention using smartphone indicating that the higher level of security risk for smartphone leads to the decrease of transaction intention using smartphone. This study implies that the empirical result explores a new factor and significant effect on the transaction intention using smartphone. In addition, this study suggests a practical implication to practitioners enhancing familiarity and similarity in order to accelerate online transaction using smartphone.

스마트폰 이용동기와 활용능력이 스마트패드 사용의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

        강응구(Eung-Goo Kang),김영한(Young-Han Kim),김광용(Gwang-Yong Gim) 한국IT서비스학회 2012 한국IT서비스학회지 Vol.11 No.4

The growing interest in smartphones has increased the number of studies conducted on technology acceptance and user satisfaction. It is now over two years since the launching of smartphones, but there are not many researches on the usage behavior of today’s smartphone users. Smart devices have evolved from smartphone to smart pad and smart TV, but there are still not many studies on variables such as knowledge about the parent product and the ability to use it. With this, I decided to study how the motivation and the ability of using smartphones affected the smartphone user’s intention to use smartpads. This study presents the usage behavior of smartphone users and proves that the ability to use a parent product (smartphone) affects the user’s intention to use an extension product (smartpad). The research results showed that the smartphone usage ability affected both variety of use and rate of use. The convenience and passing time factors affected variety of use; and the social interaction, entertainment and passing time factors affected rate of use. As for the intention to use smartpads, the smartphone usage ability and variety of use positively affected the smartphone user’s intention to use smartpads. This study showed that the more the user used a smartphone to pass time and for convenience, the more effectively the user could use various functions. It proves that the variety of use of smartphone is highly related to the acceptance of smartpads. This study also proves that usage ability is an important factor in using innovative products, such as smart devices.

Chinese smart phone payment services are experiencing remarkable growth both in quantity and quality. At the same time, the smartphone payment services as a new payment service have many challenges to be solved, such as securing the stability of the smartphone payment and changing the habit of the existing payment method. Based on previous studies on the use of smartphone or mobile payment services, this study conducted a discriminatory study in the following respects. First, perceived ease of use was adopted by this study as well as perceived usefulness as important determinants to describe the acceptance of smartphone payment services, which are the major variables of the initial TAMS. Second, this study adopted a attitude of use for smartphone payment services as a dependent variable. This study adopted a perceived risk to identify the effect of uncertainty avoidance associated with the use of smartphone payment services on the intention to use and the attitude of use of Chinese consumers for smartphone payment services. The purpose of this study is to identify variables affecting the acceptance of smartphone payment services for Chinese users in the Chinese smartphone payment services market, which have begun to be activated relatively recently. Specifically, this study investigated the effect of perceived ease of use on Chinese consumers’ intention to use and attitude of use of smartphone payment services as well as the effect of perceived usefulness. Based on the literature reviews, this study merged TAM and perceived risk. This study verified the research models and hypothesis by using structural equations model. First, According to the results of present study, perceived ease of use was proved to have a positive impact on the attitude of use and the perceived usefulness. Second, it has been found that perceived risks influence negatively on the intention to use and the attitude of use. Third, perceived usefulness has a positive influence on consumers’ intention of use, but not on attitude of use. Finally, the attitude of use was not found to have impact on the intention of use. As predicted by hypotheses 1 and 2, it has been shown that perceived ease of use for smartphone payment services has a positive impact on consumer’s perceived usefulness and the attitudes toward use. Contrary to expectations in hypotheses 3 and 4, perceived usefulness for smartphone payment services did not have a positive effect on attitudes of use, and the attitude of use for smartphone payment services did not have a positive effect on intentions to use. As predicted by hypothesis 5, it has been found that perceived usefulness for smartphone payment services has a positive effect on consumers’ intention to use. As predicted by hypotheses 6 and 7, perceived risks to smartphone payment services have a negative effect on attitudes of use and intentions to use. Based of these results, theoretical implications and practical implications were discussed and suggested. Finally, the limitations of present research as well as future research were discussed.

        이혜선(Hye-Sun Lee),호규현(Gyuhyun Ho),권지현(Jihyun Kwon),나은영(Eun-Yeong Na) 한국언론학회 2021 한국언론학보 Vol.65 No.5

Peer relationships and smartphone dependence are two essential features for middle school students. Peer relationships can be protective factors for smartphone dependence because adolescents can choose smartphone usage activities when their need for interpersonal relationships is not fulfilled. Then, how are the effects different for positive and negative peer relationships to smartphone dependency? Are positive and negative peer relationships effects on the sub-factors of smartphone dependency different? Further, what mediates and which moderator factors differentiate the effects of peer relationships on smartphone dependencys sub-factors? This study investigated the effects of middle school students positive and negative peer relationships on smartphone dependency (tolerance and withdrawal) with the mediation of social withdrawal. We also analyzed the differences between high and low social use groups. We used the structural equation model analysis and analyzed data from 2,371 respondents in the 2018 Korean Children & Youth Panel Survey 2nd-year panel data provided by the Korea Youth Policy Institute. The result of the study indicates that middle school students positive peer relationships lowered withdrawal. Negative peer relationships tended to increase both withdrawal and tolerance. The effect size of negative peer relationships toward withdrawal was substantial. Social withdrawal was increased by negative peer relationships and decreased by positive peer relationships, but negative peer relationships had a stronger effect on social withdrawal. Social withdrawal experienced by middle school students increased both withdrawal and tolerance sub-factors of smartphone dependence, but social withdrawal influenced tolerance relatively more. Multi-group analysis showed that positive peer relationships on the withdrawal of smartphone dependence were significant only in the group with a high level of social use. The effects of negative peer relationships on social withdrawal and smartphone dependence withdrawal were stronger in the group with a low level of social use. In the group with a high level of social use, the influence of positive peer relationships strengthened toward the sub-factors of smartphone dependence, while that of negative peer relationships was alleviated. Social withdrawal is a mediating factor between peer relationships and tolerance regardless of positive and negative peer relationships or a level of social use. However, social withdrawal is consistently a mediator between peer relationships and tolerance because social withdrawal does not affect the withdrawal of smartphone dependency in a low level of social use group. The results of this study suggest two strategies for media literacy programs for adolescents. First, it is necessary to encourage positive interaction and peer relationship experiences using smartphones in media literacy programs. Second, forced social use to decrease smartphone dependency may cause unintended adverse effects on adolescents who experience social withdrawal.

Vol.23 No.3

The purpose of this study is to analyze the patterns of unconsciousness smartphone use by using an app and a self-administered survey on smartphone addiction comparatively and examine differences between recognition and behavior about actual smartphone use and examine how smartphone addiction influences learning. With an app installed in smartphones, this author collected and analyzed data about users’ unconsciousness using patterns for a month. According to the results, there were significant differences found in users’ recognition and actual time for use and also frequency of turning on the display. Also, 22% of the subjects used their smartphone over 8 hours a day, and 76% more than 5 hours. Over 95% turned on the display more than 100 times a day, and in extreme cases, they did more than 300 times. In the meantime, users not only in the smartphone addiction high risk group and the potential risk group but also in the general user group are found to use their smartphone too long and too much and frequently turn on the display. The apps that the general user group is mainly using are entertaining apps, and their school records are rather good, so excessive use does not always lead to addiction or learning disorder. Therefore, if we develop more diverse contents for learning and provide digital literacy education, smartphone use will bring more positive effects instead. In follow-up research, the app should be corrected to collect more accurate information, and as variables in personal areas, this researcher will also measure depression, anxiety, stress, self-esteem, and emotional control, and so on to see how they are associated with smartphone use.

This study aimed to identify kindergartener intra-individual variables related to smartphone overuse. Based on previous findings in the addiction literature and related theoretical explanations, this study focused on kindergartener gender, age at the time of first smartphone use, smartphone proficiency, four temperaments (novelty seeking, harm avoidance, reward dependency, persistence), and length of time using the smartphone for three different purposes (weekly smartphone use for learning, for streaming, and for gaming) and examined the relationships between these variables and kindergarteners’ smartphone overuse scores. For this purpose, the study asked mothers of 5-year-old children in Seoul and Gyunggi areas to complete questionnaires. A total of 234 mother-reported data pertaining to 97 boys (41.5%) and 137 girls (58.5%) entered into analyses. All the kindergarteners analyzed were reported to have experiences using the smartphone. Correlation analyses demonstrated smartphone overuse to be correlated positively with novelty seeking, smartphone use for gaming and for streaming, smartphone proficiency, harm avoidance and reward dependence, and negatively with persistence and age of first smartphone use. Stepwise multiple regression analysis found that 6 (novelty seeking, smartphone use for gaming, smartphone proficiency, smartphone use for streaming, harm avoidance, and age of first smartphone use) out of a total of 10 kindergartener variables significantly predicted kindergartener smartphone overuse scores. Clinical implications of these research findings and recommendations for future study were discussed.

The Association between Addictive, Habitual Smartphone Behaviors and Psychiatric Distress and The Role of Self-control in Association.

문준환,박지환,노미정 한국인터넷방송통신학회 2023 International Journal of Internet, Broadcasting an Vol.15 No.4

As smartphone use is increasing within the middle-aged population, society should pay closer attention to the mental health problems associated with smartphone addiction. This study examines the possibility that depression, anxiety, and ADHD can be interpreted not only as negative aspects, but also as positive aspects, in an addiction-related individual. We used habitual and addictive smartphone behavior as the dependent variables; anxiety, ADHD, depression, and habitual smartphone use as the independent variables; and self-control as a moderating variable. Depression and ADHD in smartphone users were found to be associated with higher levels of addictive smartphone use. Anxiety was having negative effect on addictive smartphone use. However, habitual smartphone use didn’t significantly affect addictive smartphone use. Further analysis indicated that depression, anxiety, and ADHD have mediating effects on habitual smartphone use. This study confirmed that psychological factors in adults, as well as habitual/addictive smartphone use and self-control, significantly influence smartphone overdependence.
