        HSA800 강재를 적용한 합성기둥의 축방향 내력 평가

        건축구조기준에 따라 HSA800 강재의 합성기둥 적용시에는 실험 또는 해석적 방법을 통하여 적용의 타당성을 검증해야 한다. 이에 본 연구에서는 합성기둥으로 주로 사용되는 H형강 매입형, 각형강관 및 원형강관 충전형 합성기둥 단면을 대상으로 HSA800 강재를 적용한 단주압축실험을 실시하고, 이를 통하여 축방향 내력 및 건축구조기준의 합성기둥 설계압축강도 설계식 적용의 타당성을 평가하였다. 실험결과 매입형 합성기둥의 경우 HSA800 강재의 설계기준항복강도를 저감없이 사용하기 위해서는 건축구조기준의 설계압축강도 산정식의 조정이 필요한 것으로 나타났으며, 이를 위해 띠철근 간격 조정 및 콘크리트의 유효단면적 사용을 제안하였다. 충전형 합성기둥의 경우에는 각형, 원형충전강관 기둥 모두 별도의 강도 저감이나 설계압축강도 산정식의 조정 없이 사용이 가능할 것으로 판단된다. According to the Korean Building Code (KBC), the validity of the application of 800MPa grade steel(HSA800) to composite column should be verified by experimental or analytical method. Thus, stub column tests for encased and filled composite members with HSA800 steel were conducted, and axial strength and the validity of design compressive strength equations in KBC were evaluated. The test results show that the equation of the compressive strength of encased composite column member in KBC should be modified in order to use HSA800 steel without any reduction of specified minimum yield strength. For this purpose, it is suggested that the interval of hoop should be narrowed and the effective concrete area should be used. The equation of the compressive strength of filled composite column member in KBC is applicable to filled composite column with HSA800 steel without any modification.

        Material Performance Evaluation and Super-tall Building Applicability of the 800 MPa High-strength Steel Plates for Building Structures

        The main advantage of High Strength Steel (HSS) is to decrease material thickness at the same performance level and toincrease the performance level with unchanged dimensions. The demand of HSS is getting increasing to satisfy the increasingtechnical requirements as well as the needs for good handling during constructions as building height and span is getting tallerand longer. New 800 MPa high (tensile) strength steel plate for building structures, namely HSA800, was developed in 2011. As made by TMCP, it has a good weldability without increasing carbon contents. Material performance tests of HSA800 for10-100 mm thick plates are conducted to verify if satisfying the Korean Industrial Standard (KS) provisions. Then applicabilityof HSA800 in a super-tall building is evaluated by creating two analytical models (with or without HSA800) for comparisonin accordance with five performance index - lateral deflection, column shortening, natural periods, overturning moments andtotal amounts of materials. In this case, HSA800 is applied to gravity members such as perimeter columns, spandrel beams andbelt trusses rather than lateral force resisting members to keep the building lateral stiffness. Material test results show thatHSA800 satisfies all chemical and mechanical KS provisions and can be used to design structures per current design codes. The behavior of the model using HSA800 was similar to that of normal strength steel (SM570) only model and satisfied allfive performance index. Saving amounts of steel quantity by using HSA800 were approximately 4500 tons, which is 30% oftotal gravity member amounts and 10% of total steel amounts used in this model. Consequently, use of HSS, such as HSA800,may bring the added benefit of reducing steel consumption compared to normal strength steels and decreasing carbon dioxide(CO2) emissions from steel and member production processes.

        특수구조 대상으로 고강도 강재(HSA800)의 현장 적용성 연구

        The purpose of this study is to increase applicability of high strength steel, HSA800 to the structure. Selected study of structure is to consider high strength steel, and following parts, 1) Tensile member with no consider of buckling, 2) Truss existing both tension and compression members with small slenderness ratio. This studied structure is included tension column hang on to the upper bridge truss. The structure element quantity with apply HSA800 instead of SM570 is reduced about 38.9% of tension column and 29.7% of bridge truss. In addition, the number of element's division is reduced about two sections due to reduction of self weight that the crane is able to lift up. This improves to reduce erection sequence and construction period which can save about a month. All connections are reviewed as welding and bolt. Also, the cost of welding is reduced about 41.3% due to apply HSA800. In conclusion, applying HSA800 to the hanging structure aggressively can secure economic and constructability.

        A Study on the Material Characteristics and the Welding Properties of the HSA800 Steel

        In this research, 7 species of material characteristics test and 9 species of welding properties test for FCAW and SAW were proceeded to confirm the various material characteristics and welding properties of HSA800 developed recently. As a result of material test, HSA800 steel satisfied the KS and the criteria of homogeneity for the strength of the steel, confirmed as sound steel having excellent directivity and toughness. Test results of the FCAW and SAW partially satisfied the KS and the criteria of homogeneity for the strength of the steel, and confirmed as having a good weld zones. However, the result of SAW weld zone chemical composition test showed that the P composition is not satisfying the KS. According to the result of weld zone rod and plate tensile test results, the FCAW 1G appeared more better than the FCAW 3G, and the SAW PH2 appeared more better than the SAW PH1.

        HSA800 강재의 SAW 용접성 및 이음성능 연구

        본 연구에서는 HSA800 60mm 강재의 SAW 용접성 및 이음성능을 확인하기 위해 후열처리 1시간과 2시간에 대한 SAW 공시체를 제작하여 9종의 시험을 실시하였다. 용접부 충격시험, 굽힘시험, 경도시험, 매크로조직시험, 마이크로조직시험 결과 SAW PH1 및 PH2는 양호한 용접부로 나타났으나, 화학성분시험 결과 P성분이 KS를 만족하지 못하였다. 용접부 평판 및 봉형 인장시험결과 SAW PH1에 비하여 PH2의 기계적 특성이 양호하게 나타났기 때문에 SAW의 경우 후열처리는 2시간을 권장한다. In this research, 9 SAW welding specimens with 1 hour post-heat treatment (PH1) and 2 hours (PH2) were experimented to confirm the weldability and the joint performance of 60mm thickness HSA800 steel. SAW tests with PH1 & PH2, including weld impact test, bend test, hardness test, macroscopic test, and microscopic test, had a good test results. However, from the chemical composition test results, P composition was not satisfied with Korean Industrial Standards(KS). According to the weld-zone tensile tests, 2 hours post-heat SAW is recommended because the mechanical characteristics of SAW PH2 were better than those of SAW PH1.
