경영환경과 물류관리시스템이 물류성과에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 기업의 물류관리시스템을 대상으로 하여 경영환경과 조직구조에 초점을 맞추고 있는 구조적 상황이론에서도 물류관리시스템 변수의 역할 중요성을 인식하여 환경변수와 물류관리시스템 간의 적합성이 기업의 물류성과에 주는 함의를 연구하여 물류성과를 극대화하기 위한 정책 수립 시에 합리적인 지침을 제시하고자 하는 것이 주된 연구목적이다. 환경불확실성과 물류관리시스템간 적합성 정도에 따라 물류성과가 차이가 있는가를 분석한 실증결과에 의하면 먼저 종속변수로 물류비용 절감과 물류서비스 향상을 사용한 경우 경영환경과 물류관리 시스템 간의 적합성이 높은 그룹의 성과가 높게 나타나고 있으며 통계적으로도 유의적인 차이를 보이고 있다. 종속변수로 물류유연성 달성을 이용한 경우에도 통계적 유의성은 다소 낮지만 회귀계수의 부호가 정(+)의 값을 보이고 있다. 이러한 연구결과에 의할 때, 전략의 수립과 실행만을 관심의 대상으로 하고 있는 물류경영실무에 대해서도 환경변수에 대한 명시적인 고려가 필요함을 시사하며, 아울러 물류관리시스템의 실행문제를 배제하고 있는 물류경영실무에 대해서도 성과 함의를 분석하기 위해서는 환경에 적합한 물류관리시스템의 선택에 관한 문제를 고려할 필요가 있다. 또한 실무적으로 높은 물류성과를 달성하기 위해 기업물류관리시스템의 경영환경에 대한 적합성 유지에 대한 지침을 제시함으로써 환경과 물류관리시스템을 적합시키려는 필요 이상의 투자를 함으로써 지출하게 될 비용을 절감할 수 있다는 결과를 제시하였다는데 본 연구의 의의가 있다. This paper attempts to investigate the fitness between management environment and logistics management system, and its impacts on the logistics performance. We have examined the impacts of harmony of management environment and logistics management system fit on the logistics goal. We use the Korean listed firms as a research sample. We have contacted the logistics controller to obtain permission into the study. Once the firm agreed to participate, we have visited logistics divisional managers within the firm to administer the questionnaires. The questionnaires are primarily designed to collect information about the independent and dependent variables. However, an opportunity to interview many of the leading authorities in logistics management system also provided an excellent opportunity to gather additional insight into the logistics management systems. A total of 500 questionnaires were sent out on July 1, 2004. 202 valid responses have been collected. The hypothesis was formulated on the basis of the previous study. To test hypothesized relationships between the dependent and independent variables, we assume other variables are held constant. In practice, however, other factors are likely to impact systematically on the logistic performance. Thus, for controlling other factors impact, the data for firm size(SIZE), fixed asset ratio (FIX), advertising intensity(ADV), and R&D intensity(R&D) variables are gathered. Our findings can suggest for logistics strategies setting as followings. Firms with high harmony between management environment and logistics management system were significantly better in the logistics performance than firms with low harmony.

물류정보시스템의 현황과 활성화방안에 관한 연구

근래 물류정보시스템은 국가경제에서 그 중요성에 대하여 아주 많은 관심을 끌고 있다. 그러나 시스템의 이용정도는 물류기업의 능력에 의해 달라질 수 있다는 것에 유의해야 한다. 우리나라에서는 물류정보시스템에 대한 연구가 최근 들어 활발히 이루어지고 있으나 물류정보시스템을 실제 도입하여, 이를 활용하고 있는 기업은 대기업에 한정되어 있고 이를 실천하고 있는 기업에서도 대부분 개별적 물류관리에 초점을 맞추고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구는 물류정보시스템의 전반적인 특성과 현황을 살펴본 다음, 물류정보시스템 활용에 영향을 미치는 요인을 도출하여, 물류정보시스템 활성화방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 바탕으로 물류효율성 증대와 물류비 절감을 통해 기업의 경쟁력 강화에 도움을 주고자 하는데 그 목적이 있다. The logisics information system has been recently attracting a great deal of attention for its importance in the national economy. It should be noted, however, that the degree of the system utiliztion differs by the capabilities of the logistics firms. Recently, the study on logistics information system has been conducted vividly. However, only some of large-sized companies are actually embracing and using logistics information system. And even they are only focusing on the partial logistics not on the total. This study is to examine the general characteristics and present situation of logistics information system, detecting the factors which have an effect on using the system and suggesting the ways of vitalization of the system. The purpose of this study is to help companies enhance their competitiveness by increase of logistics efficiency and the decrease of logistics cost.

국가물류체계 개선전략 수립에 있어 소프트시스템 방법론 활용 연구

Logistics activities and relevant environments in a country is called as a National Logistics System (NLS). Consequently, whole logistics field growth in a country means the development of the NLS. Originally the NLS is a quite complicated system ; moreover, recently it also responses to the fundamental changes such as climate changes. The NLS only considered efficiency in the past days, but from now on it has to consider environmental sustainability as well. Recently the Soft Systems Methodology(SSM), one of ‘the Systems Approach Methodology(SAM)’ is usefully used to solve the complexes such as social system problems. This research tries to find the possibility of practical use and application of the SAM for developing the NLS strategy using SSM,distinguishing the former NLS studies. This study consists of three parts as follows ; first, definition of the NLS ; second, methodology - particularly SSM ; and lastly its applications. In chapter 2, this paper describes the definition of NLS and the limits of existing relevant researches. In chapter 3, this work reviews the SSM - one of the SAM - chosen as the methodology in this research. In chapter 4, this study suggests the future goal by a conceptual model, and nine core tasks to reach the goal of NLS using SSM. This study also handles a feasibility study of the application against the experts, about the importance and urgency perspectives, and put an order to the nine core tasks. 한 국가에서 이루어지는 모든 물류활동과 관련 환경은 국가물류체계로 표현된다는 점에서 물류부문의 개선은 국가물류체계의 개선을 의미한다. 국가물류체계는 매우 복잡한 시스템인데다 최근에는 기후변화 문제 등 근본적인 변화 요인에도 대응해야 하는 과제를 안고 있다. 과거 국가물류체계는 효율성만 고려해도 되었으나 이제 환경성도 중요하게 고려하여야 한다. 최근 국가물류체계와 같이 복잡한 사회시스템 문제를 해결하기 위해 소프트시스템 방법론(SSM, Soft Systems Methodology)이라고 불리는 시스템적 접근방법이 유용하게 사용되고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 기존 연구와는 달리 국가물류체계 개선전략 도출 문제에 대해 시스템적 접근방법(systems approach)을 이용하여 그 활용 가능성과 적용 가능성을 모색하고자 하였다. 본 연구는 국가물류체계의 개념 정립, 소프트시스템 방법론 고찰, 국가물류체계 개선문제에의 적용 및 분석 등 크게 세 부분으로 구성된다. 첫째, 국가물류체계의 개념 정립 부분에서는 분석대상에 대한 정의와 개념 설정, 그리고 기존 관련 연구의 한계점을 정리하였다. 둘째, 소프트시스템 방법론 고찰 부분에서는 시스템 접근방법으로 채택한 소프트시스템 방법론을 고찰하고 국가물류체계에의 적용가능성을 검토하였다. 마지막으로 적용 및 분석 부분에서는 소프트시스템 방법론과 그 절차를 이용하여 국가물류체계의 미래 목표시스템을 개념모형 형태로 제시하고, 목표시스템을 달성하기 위한 9대 핵심과제를 제안하였다. 아울러 도출된 핵심과제에 대해서는 전문가조사를 통해 중요도, 시급도 관점에서 현실 적용 가능성을 검증하고 우선순위도 평가하였다.

물류정보시스템을 이용한 효율적 물류관리 사례연구

소비자 욕구가 개성화, 다양화되어 가고 고객의 서비스 향상과 경쟁우위 확보에 물류가 차지하는 비중이 날로 커지고 있는 현 상황에서 우리나라 대표 전자업체의 물류관리 실태를 알아보고 개선방안을 제시하는데 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구에서는 국내 대표 기업인 S전자를 대상으로 한 사례연구를 실시하였으며 S전자의 물류정보시스템 도입전 문제점과 배경의 분석으로부터 도입 및 구축경과에 대한 검토와 물류정보시스템의 표준 및 사후관리 프로세스에 대한 연구, 구축현황 및 구축 후 실제적인 주요성과에 대한 연구를 통해 효율적인 물류정보시스템 구축이 기업 경쟁력 제고와 고객만족에 기여함을 검증하였다. 물류정보시스템 구축을 통해서 첫째, 즉시 배송 및 적극적인 고객 요구 대처와 최적의 물류서비스 제공. 둘째, 일관된 물류정보시스템 구축으로 경쟁력 향상과 비용절감 효과 증대. 셋째, 경영전략 차원에서 물류정보 기술 활용으로 경쟁우위 확보. 넷째, 지속적인 재구축과 개선으로 물류의 효율성 증가가 필요하며 마지막으로 본 사례연구를 통해서 효율적인 물류시스템 구축 방향을 제시하였다는 점에서 그 유용성을 찾을 수 있다. The purpose of this study is to provide opportunities to compare and benchmark other companies that have established and operated logistics information system through the analysis of the progress and performance. The international and domestic cases which have been successful in promoting efficient logistics management are considered. In order to set up a goal and direction to evaluate and improve the competitiveness of logistics management, this paper focuses on the case study of domestic company (S Electronics) that operates a world-class logistics information system. The theoretical background of the study has been developed by reviewing literature related to logistics management. In order to find competitive factors, both international and domestic cases for logistics management efficiency are addressed. Moreover, this paper investigates the factors that can affect the establishment of efficient information system which can enhance the efficiency of logistics management. Then, the methodology to establish logistics information system in domestics companies is developed by analyzing various case studies in the literature. This study provides a direction to promote efficient logistics management system by analyzing the case studies related to the logistics information system.

물류정보시스템 활용도 제고에 관한 연구 : 부산ㆍ경남지역을 중심으로

근래 물류정보시스템의 중요성은 특히 강조되어 지고 있으며 물류정보시스템의 활용도는 물류관리의 능력, 물류처리의 기술수준, 물류체계의 강화, 물류정책의 수행력과 같은 기업환경에 따라 달라질 수 있음을 보여준다. 따라서 회사의 물류정보 시스템의 활용도를 조사하기 위해 부산ㆍ경남지역에 소재한 상장, 등록, 외감법인 중 174개 제조업체와 유통업체를 대상범위로 한정시켰다. 다음은, 본 연구의 결론으로서 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 사업의 특정종류에 따라 물류정보시스템 활용도는 차이가 있었다. 둘째, 제조업체와 유통업체들의 각 입장에서 볼 때, 물류정보시스템의 활용도에 대한 중요성은 쌍방업체 간에 크게 다르지 않음을 나타내고 있다. 셋째, 물류시스템의 할용도는 물류관리능력을 가진 경영자의 유무에 따라 좌우될 수 있음을 보여준다. 넷째, 물류정보시스템의 활용도는 물류성과와 긍정적인 관계를 가지며, 또한 이러한 활용도는 단순한 물류비용 감소보다는 물류전문가로 하여금 고객들에게 보다 고급화된 서비스를 제공할 수 있음을 보여준다. The logistics information system has been recently attracting a great deal of attention for its importance in the national economy. It should be noted, however, that the degree of the system utilization differs by the capabilities of the logistics firms such as logistics management skills, robustness of the organization, technical sophistication, and administrative abilities. A survey was conducted in the Busan and Kyungnam area for 174 companies in the logistics and manufacturing industry. The results of this study can be summarized as follows : First, the degree of utilization of the logistics information system varies depending upon business-type details. Secondly, utilization of the logistics information system is equally important for both manufacturing and logistics companies. Thirdly, it was found that the executives of the companies with logistics management skills can playa key role in utilizing the logistics information system. Finally, the degree of utilization has positive relationships with the logistics performance as the companies benefit from the system not just for saving costs, but more importantly for providing higher-quality services for their customers.

물류자동화 시스템의 도입에 사용되는 기업의 전략 유형과 이들이 기업의 운영성과에 미치는 영향

본 연구의 목적은 물류자동화 시스템의 사용 실태를 조사하여 체계적으로 분류함으로써 구체적인 물류자동화 시스템의 영향을 실증적으로 검증하는 것이다. 물류자동화 시스템의 도입에 어떠한 동기들이 있으며 이러한 동기들과 기업의 운영성과와는 어떠한 관계가 있는지를 분석한다. 문헌연구를 통하여 물류자동화 시스템을 분류하고 이 시스템의 도입 동기와 기업의 운영성과에 대한 측정항목을 추출하였다. 우리나라 184개의 제조업체로부터 수집한 설문조사 자료를 활용하여 신뢰성 및 타당성 분석, 구조방정식 모형을 통한 확인적 요인분석, 회귀분석 및 Sobel test를 통해 연구모형을 검증하고 연구결과를 도출하였다. 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 물류자동화 시스템의 도입 동기를 알아본 결과, 기업이 물류자동화 시스템을 도입할 때는 기업의 전략이 중요한 결정요소로써 고려되는 것으로 분석되었다. 이에 해당되는 기업의 전략으로는 원가지향 전략, 유연성지향 전략, 시장지향 전략으로 나타났다. 둘째, 3가지 기업의 전략 유형이 물류자동화 시스템의 도입에 정(+)의 영향을 주며 이러한 물류자동화 시스템은 기업의 운영성과에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 다시 말하면, 물류자동화 시스템은 기업의 전략에 맞게 도입되어 기업의 운영성과에 정(+)의 영향을 주었다. 셋째, 회귀분석과 Sobel test를 통하여 물류자동화 시스템의 매개효과를 입증하였다. 기업의 전략에 부합하는 물류자동화 시스템의 도입과 물류자동화 시스템의 수준으로 기업의 운영성과가 더욱 향상될 수 있음을 알 수 있다. 본 연구의 결과를 통하여, 기업은 성장과 이윤추구를 위한 전략 설정과 물류자동화 시스템의 투자에 대한 의사결정에 효과적인 방법과 방향을 제시함으로써 실무적 의사결정에 큰 도움이 될 수 있을 것이다. The purposes of this study are to define and classify material handling systems and to examine empirically the impact of specific automation systems with the causal relationships among material handling systems, the motives of introducing automation systems, and operational performance. Survey-based data for this study was collected from 184 Korean manufacturing firms and the measurement scales were tested and validated using confirmatory factor analysis, reliability test, structure equation modeling, and regression analysis. The results are as follows. First, the motives of introducing material handling systems are correlated with firm's business strategy. The types of business strategy are low cost strategy, flexibility strategy and marketingintensive strategy. Second, the three types of business strategy have a positive impact on introducing material handling systems. And material handling systems also have a positive impact on operational performance. For the last, material handling systems mediate the impact between firm's business strategy and the operational performance. The mediating effect was proved through regression analysis, Sobel test, and the structure equation modeling. The result shows that the fit between firm's business strategy and material handling systems improves firm's operational performance. This study will offer guidance on how strategy and automation investment can be selectively matched to attain either profitability or growth.

물류정보시스템 활용도가 물류성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 : 부산지역 중소기업을 중심으로 Focused on Medium and Small Size Companies in Busan Area

효과적인 물류정보시스템 구축을 위해서는 물류정보시스템 활용도가 물류성과에 미치는 영향 관계를 파악하는 것이 최우선 과제이나 이에 대해서는 많은 연구가 이루어지지 않았으며, 특히 물류정보시스템 활용도 및 물류성과를 통합적으로 개념화한 연구는 상대적으로 적은 편이었다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 물류정보시스템 활용도를 5가지 요인으로 포괄적으로 개념화 하고, 물류성과를 공급사슬관리 이론을 고려해 통합적 시작에서 6가지 요인으로 분류하여 활용도와 물류성과요인 간에 어떤 관계가 있는지와 활용도 요인 간의 상대적 영향력 차이가 있는지를 규명하고자 하였다. 또한 물류정보시스템 활용도의 선행요인에는 어떠한 것들이 있는지와 이들 선행요인들의 영향력을 실증분석을 통해 파악하고자 하였다. 다중회귀분석에 의한 가설검증 결과 물류정보시스템 활용도와 물류성과간의 관계에 관한 포괄적이면서 간명성이 유지되는 개념적 모형을 도출하였으며, 물류정보시스템의 활용도 요인들의 물류성과에 부분적으로 유의한 영향을 미친다는 점을 밝혔다. 또한 물료정보 시스템 활용도의 선행 변수들의 파악을 통해 물류정보시스템 활용도를 중심으로 하여 그 선생요인과 물류성과를 설명하는 통합적 개념틀 및 실무적 시사점을 제시하였다. It is very important to analyze the influence of the utilization of logistics information system ( LIS) on the logistics performance for developing the effective LIS. Despite the growing significance, our current understanding of this issue is quite because few researches have been studied on it. In contrast to the pervious studies, we conceptualize the utilization of LIS as five factors and the logistics performance as six factors in a comprehensive perspective. And we examine how the utilization variables of LIS, influenced by their antecedents affect logistics performance variables. We perform a multiple regression analysis to examine the links among three antecedents, the five utilization mediators of LIS, and six logistics performance factors. The empirical results confirm that most of the utilization factors of LIS positively influence logistics performance. Furthermore, three antecedent dimensions affect the utilization mediators of LIS. The empirical results indicates that the proposed model can explain the relationship between LIS utilization and logistics performance as simple and comprehensive ways. Finally, this study provides managerial implications that suggest ways firms can manage organizational resources to improve logistics performance and LIS utilization.

중소 유통기업에서의 효율적인 공동 수·배송 물류시스템 도입 방안에 관한 고찰

중소유통기업에서의 효율적인 공동 수·배송 물류시스템을 합리적으로 도입하기 위해서는 우선 필요한 자료를 수집하고 분석한 정보를 토대로 하여 시스템을 설계하고 그것을 기초로 작업과정을 상세히 작성하여야 한다. 필요한 자료에는 수주에서 납품까지의 시간이나 수주에서 다음번 수주까지의 시간, 차량 단위의 적재율, 차량의 회전율, 차량의 운행대수, 수·배송의 범위와 루트, 수·배송비용의 비율 등이 있다. 이를 위해서는 구체적으로 요구되는 검토 항목들은 다음과 같다. ① 수·배송 네트워크의 정비 : 물류거점에 대한 최적 배치와 직접 수송비율의 확대. ② 최적운송수단의 선택 : 육·해·공 운송수단의 원가파악, 구역, 노선, 택배요금의 비교. 차종비교 (대형 전용 차량 또는 경량 차량) ③ 수송효율의 향상 : 가동율과 적재율의 향상 및 상·하역 시간의 단축 ④ 공동 수·배송의 실시 : 사업부문 및 업계 등을 연결하는 수평적 물류시스템의 설계 및 도·소매점 등을 연결하는 수직적 물류시스템의 설계. ⑤ 수·배송의 합리화 수단 고려 : 계획화, 공동화, 정기화, 표준화, 풀화(Pooling). ⑥ 수·배송 합리화를 위한 아이디어 도입 : 대형차량으로의 대체. 사업부문이나 업계간의 공동화. 다른 기업의 재료구입처나 고객에 대한 업무활동의 공동화, 물류센터 및 유통센타의 재배치, 수·배송 정보시스템의 확립, ⑦ 제1차 운송과 제2차 운송간의 연결 : 간선운송과 단말운송간의 연결 이상으로 중소유통기업에서의 합리적인 공동 수·배송 물류시스템을 설계 및 도입, 추진하는데 있어서 필요한 사항들을 검토하였다. 이를 유통기업의 특성에 따라 성공시키기 위해서는 우선 하주의 공동 수·배송 물류시스템에 대한 의욕과 함께 시스템화의 능력을 제고시키는 일이다. 또 공동배송을 실현할 수 있는 조건을 만들었으면 물류시스템은 경쟁은 해도 수송 등 개별적인 면에서는 협조한다고 하는 기본적인 개념에 대해 사내의 이해와 협조를 얻어내야 한다. 공동 수·배송 물류시스템을 달성하려면 여러 가지 곤란한 조건이 있을 수 있으며 단순히 하주 및 기업만의 노력으로도 불가능 할 것이다. 운송업자나 기업측의 지원은 물론이고 경우에 따라서는 정부의 강력한 지원도 필요할 것이다.

물류정보시스템을 이용한 효율적 물류관리 사례연구

최근 물류비용이 국제 경쟁력에 미치는 영향은 지대한 것으로, 이는 국내 제품의 경쟁력이 단순히 가격과 품질이라는 고전적 평가요소 이외에 신속, 정확하게 고객의 요구에 부응할 수 있도록 하는 것이 또 다른 경쟁 요소로 등장하고 있다. 한편 소비자 욕구가 개성화, 다양화되어 가고 고객의 서비스 향상과 경쟁우위 확보에 물류가 차지하는 비중이 날로 커지고 있는 현 상황에서, 최후의 미개척 분야, 제3의 이윤원이라고 일컬어지는 물류관리의 개념이 기업경영에 보다 활발하게 적용되어야 할 시점에 도달하고 있다. 이에 따라 최근 국내 각 기업에서는 물류 및 물류정보시스템 구축에 관한 관심이 고조되기 시작하여 이에 대한 조사와 현황분석이 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 물류관리 효율화를 위한 효율적인 정보시스템 구축에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 분석하기 시작하여, 기존의 연구결과들을 정의, 검토하고 그를 토대로 사례연구를 실시하여 국내 기업의 물류정보시스템 구축 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 또한 사례연구를 통해서 한국 기업들에게 물류부문에 보다 적극적인 관심과 그 연구의 필요성을 재검토하도록 하고, 물류정보시스템 구축방안에 대한 사례분석을 통해 효율적인 물류시스템 구축 방향을 제시하고자 한다. 본 연구는 중소기업의 물류담당자들을 대상으로 한 설문조사를 통하여 물류분야의 경쟁력확보와 물류비용의 절감을 가로막는 문제점을 파악하고, 전자물류정보시스템의 바람직한 추진방향과 활용방안을 모색하여 물류비용의 절감과 더불어 물류서비스 향상을 수반하는 개선방안을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 대구·경북 제조기업에서 물류환경(회계관리, 판매관리, 조달관리)요인은 물류비 절감에 영향을 미칠 것이다. 본 연구의 분석결과로부터 도출되는 전자물류정보시스템의 수용에 따른 환경요인이 물류비절감을 높이기 위한 개선방안을 제시하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 전자물류정보시스템의 수용과 활용으로 혁신적인 경영의 기반을 구축으로 물류조직의 구조조정을 하는 것이 필수적인 것으로 판단된다. 둘째, 고객에 대한 물류서비스 향상과 물류비용의 절감을 위해서는 전자물류정보시스템의 수용수준의 확대와 최적화가 필요하고 중요하다. 셋째, 전자물류정보시스템의 도입과 전략적인 활용을 위해서는 물류조직의 재편과 물류전문인력이 육성되고 확보되어야 한다. This study aims at the suggestion of ways to improve logistics-service and reduction logistics-costs. I tried to have a good grip on the points at issue which is obstacle to be competitive and to reduce the logistics-costs, and how to proceed and use desirably of the electronic logistic information system by means of interviews through questionnaires on the logistics-concerned part in the minor enterprises. The logistics environmental factors(accounting management, sales management and sourcing management) will affect on the reduction of logistics-costs in manufacturing in Daegu, Gyeongsangbuk-do.. In conclusion, the ways of how to reduce logistics-costs are as follows:1. It is essential to build the solid foundations of managerial innovation and the restructure of logistics system with a practical use and acceptance of the electronic logistic information system. 2. It is necessary and important to expand and optimize the acceptance level of electronic logistic information system in order to improve the logistics-service for the customers and to reduce logistics-costs 3. The logistic system should be restructured and the professional workforce should be raised and secured in order to introduce and utilize the logistic information system.
