        학령전기 아동의 글씨 쓰기에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구

        목적 : 학령전기 아동의 글씨 쓰기 명료도 및 속도와 지각-운동 기술의 상관관계를 확인하고, 글씨 쓰기에 가장 영 향을 주는 요인을 알아보고자 하였다. 연구방법 : 덴버 발달 선별 검사를 통하여 정상 발달로 선별된 23명의 학령 전기 아동(평균 연령=68.61개월, SD=2.04)을 대상으로 글씨 쓰기 명료도 및 속도 측정을 위하여 한글 자모 쓰기 검사지를 사용하여 자음과 모음을 쓰도록 하였다. 시지각과 시각-운동 통합 수행 능력 측정을 위하여 시지각 발달 검사를 사용하였고, 소운동 협응 수행 능력 측정을 위하여 Grooved pegboard test를 사용하였다. 결과 : 글씨 쓰기 명료도와 전반적인 시지각, 비운동성 시지각, 시각-운동 통합, 우세손 소동작 협응의 상관관계는 없었으며, 글씨 쓰기의 속도는 전반적 시지각과 우세손 소동작 협응 항목에서 유의한 상관관계를 보였다. 회귀 분 석 결과 글씨 쓰기 속도에 가장 큰 영향을 주는 요인은 전반적 시지각 항목이었다. 결론 : 만 5~6세 학령 전기 아동의 전반적 시지각 능력의 발달을 향상시키기 위한 중재를 제공하는 것이 글씨 쓰기 의 속도 능력을 향상 시킬 수 있다는 것을 알 수 있다. Objective : This study investigated the relationships of handwriting legibility and perceptual-motor skills, and handwriting speed and perceptual-motor skills. And identified the predictors that most affect the handwriting of preschool children. Methods : Twenty-three typically developing preschool aged children (mean age: 68.61 months, SD=2.04) were selected through the Korean-Denver Developmental Screening Test-2(K-DDST-2). The children were tested with regard to handwriting legibility, visual perception, visual-motor integration and fine-motor coordination. Results : First, a significant relationship was not found among handwriting legibility, visual perception, visualmotor integration and fine-motor coordination. Second, a significant relationship was found among handwriting speed, visual perception and fine-motor coordination. Third, stepwise multiple regression analyses showed that general visual perception were significant predictors for handwriting speed. Conclusion : Occupational therapists should evaluate children's visual perception levels utilizing a standardized test, and focus on general visual perception in order to improve handwriting skill(speed). Also, occupational therapists are expected to play an important role in the management and treatment of children's handwriting skills.

        이산선택모형을 이용한 주거용수용가의 전력서비스 전환비용 추정

        전력산업은 필수재적인 성격과 막대한 초기시설투자의 필요 등으로 독점적 시장구조를 갖고 있는 것이 일반적이었다. 그러나 기술의 진보로 인해 전력산업과 같은 네트워크 산업에서의 규모의 경제로 인한 효과가 감소되면서 자연독점적 산업에서의 경쟁도입이 점차 확산되고 있는 것이 세계적인 추세이다. 우리나라에서도 현재 전력산업 구조개편이 추진되고 있지만 아직 소매시장에서의 경쟁 도입은 이루어지지 않은 상황이다. 소매경쟁은 구조개편의 성과를 확인할 수 있는 완성단계로서 소매시장에서의 경쟁이 효율적으로 일어나는 가의 문제는 구조개편을 추진하는 정책결정자의 입장에서 중요한 문제이나 이에 대한 정량적인 연구는 거의 없는 현실이다. 본 논문은 전력소매시장에서 경쟁의 유효성을 전환비용을 통해 정량적으로 분석하였다. 전환비용이 크면 시장에 경쟁이 도입되더라도 실질적으로 소비자가 기존 사업자에게 고착 될 가능성이 높으므로 전환비용의 크기를 정량적으로 측정하는 것은 향후 전력소매시장에 도입된 경쟁이 유의하게 작용할 것인가에 대해 정보를 제공할 수 있다. 이를 위해 본 논문에서는 컨조인트 분석을 통해 얻어진 가상적인 상황에서의 소비자의 전력상품에 대한 진술선호 자료를 바탕으로 전력소매시장에서의 전환비용을 정량적으로 추정하였다. 실증분석 결과, 전력상품의 특성상 절차상의 전환비용은 크지 않았으나 기존 공급업자에 대한 상대적인 브랜드 로열티가 크게 나타났으며, 전력상품의 선택시 소비자는 가격을 가장 중요한 요인으로 고려하고 있는 것으로 나타났다 이 결과는 영국 등의 해외 소매경쟁 자료와 유사한 것이며, 이를 통해 신규 진입기업의 경영효율성에 따른 가격경쟁력과 소비자의 전환가능성의 관계 파악이 가능하므로 개별기업이나 정책결정자에게 소매경쟁 진출 및 도입의 판단근거를 제시할 수 있을 것이다. Generally, electricity market has monopoly market structure because of need of enormous investment for infrastructure. However, the introduction of competition in network industry as electricity is a tendency of the world with decreasing the effects of economy of scale due to the advancement of technology. Now, electricity industry restructuring is in progress but the competition in electricity retail market is not in force yet in Korea. Whether a effective competition exist or not is very important to policy decision maker who drive restructuring, but there are small numbers of quantitative researches on that. In this study, we estimated the effectiveness of competition in the electricity retail market through switching costs. If switching costs are high, consumers actually can be locked in incumbent firm in spite of introduction of competition. Therefore switching is a critical factor to determine effectiveness of competition and to estimate the size of switching costs quantitatively can proffer the information about whether the competition in the electricity retail market is effective or not in the future. We estimated switching costs using consumer' stated-preference data by conjoint analysis. In according to estimation results, the cost of switching process is not so high, but the relative brand loyalty of an incumbent company is significantly high. And the price is considered as the most important factor choosing an electric service commodity. Based on the empirical results, it is possible to analyze the relationship between suppliers' competitiveness resulted from management efficiency and customers' switching possibilities. The paper therefore provides guidance for suppliers in deciding to enter into retail competition and for policy makers in introducing retail competition. And it has a significance of estimating the switching costs directly.

      • P071 : New-formula shampoo for scalp seborrheic dermatitis containing extract of rosa centifolia petals and epigallocatechin gallate

        Background: Ketoconazole or zinc-pyrithione shampoos are common treatments for scalp seborrheic dermatitis. However, shampoos comprising different compounds are required to provide patients with a wider range of treatment options. Objectives: To evaluate a new-formula shampoo that contains natural ingredients, extract of Rosa centifolia petals and epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), that exert antioxidative, anti-inflammatory and sebum secretion inhibitory effects, and antifungal agents for the treatment of scalp seborrheic dermatitis. Methods: Seventy-five patients were randomized into three groups: new-formula shampoo, 2% ketoconazole shampoo and 1% zinc-pyrithione shampoo. Clinical severity scores, sebum levels, user satisfaction and irritation were assessed at week 0, week 2 and week 4 after.Results: The efficacy of the new-formula shampoo was comparable to that of both the 1% zinc-pyrithione shampoo and the 2% ketoconazole shampoo. Furthermore, it was found to provide a more rapid response than the 1% zinc-pyrithione shampoo for mild erythema lesions and was associated with greater user satisfaction compared to the 2% ketoconazole shampoo. However, the new-formula shampoo did not exhibit the previously reported sebum inhibitory effect. Conclusion: Extract of Rosa centifolia petals or EGCG could be useful ingredients in treatments for scalp seborrheic dermatitis.

        Background: The crosstalk between tumor cells and their microenvironment plays a crucial role in the development, progression and metastasis of HCC. Hypoxia, a common feature of advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), has been known to modulate the development and evolution of the tumor microenvironment. However, the mechanism and functional impact of the tumor-stroma co-evolution in hypoxic HCC remains poorly understood. In this study, we investigated the effects of hypoxia on the tumor-stroma crosstalk in HCC. Methods: Human HCC cells (Huh-BAT and HepG2) were co-cultured with activated human hepatic stellate cells (HSCs; LX-2) either in a normoxic or hypoxic condition. Cell growth, migration capacity and apoptosis were assessed using the MTS assay, wound healing assay and DAPI staining. The expression of various growth factors was detected by quantitative RT-PCR and ELISA. Results: Among several growth factors derived from cocultured cells, PDGF-BB was most abundantly upregulated in hypoxic condition. Hypoxic microenvironment-derived PDGFBB induced tumor cell proliferation, migration and attenuated DC or TRAIL cytotoxicity. Consistent with these findings, co-culturing HCC cells with HSCs in hypoxia significantly enhanced proliferation and migration of both cells as compared to normoxic condition. Co-culturing also decreased DC- or TRAIL-induced HCC cell apoptosis. The effects of hypoxic tumor-stroma crosstalk on proliferation and migration were meaningfully inhibited by the PI3K inhibitor compared to cells in a normoxic condition. Conclusions: These results indicate that hypoxia induced upregulation of PDGF-BB accelerates the evolution of the tumorstroma crosstalk at least in part through PI3/AKT pathway.

      • Effects of the Neutralization Degree on Morphologies in 'Drying-Mediated' Samples of Sodium Neutralized Poly(styrene-<i>ran</i>-methacrylic acid) Copolymers in THF

        <P>To understand the effect of neutralization degree on surface morphologies of drying-mediated samples, un-neutralized, partially and fully Na-neutralized poly(styrene-<I>ran</I>-methacrylic acid) (PSMAA) prepared from THF solutions were investigated using a scanning electron microscope (SEM). We varied the content of acid groups as well as the degree of neutralization of the PSMAA copolymers. The neutralization degree changed the surface morphologies of the polymers significantly. When the acid group content was low (<9.4 mol%), the morphologies of PSMAA were found to be very similar to that of homo-PS, forming a continuous matrix with a number of circular pores. Upon neutralization, the shape of the pores changed to non-circular form and the porous matrix was mingled with the congregated aggregates. With increasing neutralization degrees, the boundary between porous films and deformed sphere-shaped aggregates became unclear. For fully neutralized forms, only highly porous layered films were formed, indicating micro phase separation between solvent and aggregated copolymer networks.</P>

        Background: In the dermis, fibroblasts play a critical role in maintaining homeostasis. UV triggers apoptosis and growth arrest in fibroblasts. Therefore, UV radiation is one of the major inducers of disorders of the dermis. Troxerutin is a derivative of the natural bioflavonoid. As troxerutin has been shown to have radioprotective, anti-inflam¬matory and antioxidant effects, it seems likely that troxerutin may protect cells against UV-induced oxidative stress and DNA damage. Objectives: To investigate the mechanisms by which troxerutin protects cells against ultraviolet B (UVB) radiation. Methods: First, we demonstrate that pre-treatment with troxerutin protects normal human dermal fibroblasts (nHDFs) against UVB-induced cytotoxicity. Subsequently, we analyzed microRNA (miRNA) expression profiles in the nHDFs. Results: Troxerutin increased cell migra¬tion and DNA repair activity in the nHDFs. In UVB-exposed cells, miRNAs act on crucial functions, such as apoptosis and cellular senescence. miRNA expression is significantly altered during the protective process induced by phytochemicals. Conclusion: In this study, our findings indicate that pre-treatment with troxerutin increases the viability of UVB-exposed nHDFs through the alteration of the miRNA expression profiles.

      • Is the adefovir plus entecavir combination therapy superior than adefovir plus lamivudine in patients with antiviral resistant chronic hepatitis B?

        Background: Antiviral resistance is a major challenge for the treatments that are currently available for hepatitis B virus. However, the efficacy of adefovir (ADV) and entecavir (ETV) combination therapy in patients who developed antiviral resistance was not fully evaluated. In this study, we aimed to evaluate the efficacy of ADV and ETV combination therapy as compared to the efficacy of LAM and ADV in patients with antiviral resistant chronic hepatitis B (CHB). Methods: Antiviral resistance was defined as follows: persistently detectable HBV DNA after 36 weeks after LAM or ADV therapy ; virological breakthrough with previous LAM or ADV therapy ; or documented LAM or ADV-resistant mutations. We assessed 90 patients with antiviral resistant CHB. Of these, 27 patients were treated with a combination of ADV+ETV and 63 patients were treated with a combination of LAM+ADV. The virological and biochemical parameters were compared between the two groups at 3, 6, 9 and 12 months, respectively. Results: Treatment with a combination of ADV+ETV resulted significant difference in virological response compared to that in the LAM+ADV group through 12 months (p=0.001). At 12 months, the HBV DNA declined more in the ADV+ETV group than that in the LAM+ADV group (-4.52±1.956 vs. -2.65±1.723 log10IU/ml; p=0.001). The rate of a virological non-response, which is defined as <1 log10IU/ml reduction in HBV DNA concentration at 3 months was significantly greater in the LAM+ADV group than that in the ADV+ETV group (26.78% vs. 7.40%, p=0.022). Also, the rate of a virological complete response at 12 months was greater in the ADV+ETV group than that in the LAM+ADV group (73.68% vs. 31.48%, p=0.005). In the multivariate analysis, parameters related to a virological response at Month 12 were the baseline HBV DNA level [OR, 0.403 ; p=0.004] and virological non-response at Month 3 [OR, 0.102 ; p=0.028]. Conclusion: In patients with antiviral resistant CHB, the response to ADV+ETV was significantly superior compared to that of the LAM+ADV group for suppressing HBV DNA through 12 months. The result indicates that ADV+ETV should be used in the patients antiviral resistant CHB, especially in the area where tenofovir is not available.

        Background: Sensitive skin is characterized by the occurrence of sensations of tingling, prickling, heat, burning, pain or itching and, on occasion, erythema in response to multiple physical, chemical or hormonal factors that do not have irritant properties by themselves. Objectives: This study sought to identify the proportion of sensitive skin and their charicteristics in Korean population. Methods: Representative nationwide samples of the Korean populations aged 18 and over were selected. The individuals were questioned by telephone and selected as per the quotas method. Results: Among the 1000 individuals, 55.3% of men and 59.4% of women answered “sensitive” or “very sensitive”. The difference between the 2 sexes is significant (p<0.02). The sensitive skin group are 2 to 4 times more to declare dermatosis, and are 2 or 3 times more reactive to environmental factors, cosmetics and food intake compared with the non-sensitive skin group. Conclusion: 56.8% of Korean appear to have sensitive skin. It is the highest prevalence among the countries reporting theirs. Respondents complaining of sensitive skin appeal more reactive skin to unexpected factors than those with non-sensitive skin. Dermatologists should therefore routinely question their patients’ skin sensitivity and provide them more care.
