Neutron diraction experiments were performed to clarify the nature of the ferroelectric phase transition of 18O isotope exchanged SrTiO3. We found clear evidence of the change of the Bragg intensity at the phase transition temperature; presumably the symmetry is orthorhombic below the transition temperature. The preliminary structure analysis in the ferroelectric phase indicates that the displacement pattern is interpreted by the combination of R25 mode rotation and the so-called Slater mode condensation of the TiO6 octahedron.

This study analyzed the Social Communication Network between medical students and non-medical students. The aim of this study is to help medical students to be better equipped to overcome hardship by understanding other students' relations. The results may be summurized as follows. (1) Opinion Leader. Non-medical students group had more opinion leaders on the part of Friends and Study than medical students group. Therefore, We could find that non-medical students group was more sociable and its association group work was stronger than medical students group But there was little difference in the part of Fashion. (2) Isolation As the result from investigating the ratio of students whose communication matrix were zero, we came to find that the ratio of medical students group was higher than that of nonmedical students group. So, medical students were more selfish and isolated particularly in the part of Fashion and Study there were wide difference. (3) Connectedness By the study of connectedness index, we found that non-medical students group's cohesiveness was very strong. (4) Integrativeness Intergrativeness index of non-medical students group was also high. In other words, medical students were more selfish and poor in forming group It was proved that there was evident difference in Social Communication Network between medical students group and non-medical students group, regarding to each of parts.

This paper designs the optimal PID controller for load frequency control on 2-area power system. Genetic algorithm is utilized to optimize parameters of PID controller which is applied to power system. Using two-point crossover, uniform crossover and one-point crossover, Search performance of genetic algorithm with each crossover method is considered. In case of load variation in 1-area, the dynamic characteristic of power system is considered. The simulation results show that the proposed PID controller is better control performance than PID controller using Ziegler-Nichols method.

Backgrounds/Aims: Socioeconomic determinants of health are incompletely characterized in cholangiocarcinoma (CCA). We assessed how socioeconomic status influences initial treatment decisions and survival outcomes in patients with CCA, additionally performing multiple sub-analyses based on anatomic location of the primary tumor. Methods: Observational study using the 2018 submission of the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER)-18 Database. In total, 5,476 patients from 2004−2015 with a CCA were separated based on median household income (MHI) into low income (< 25th percentile of MHI) and high income (> 25th percentile of MHI) groups. Seventy-three percent of patients had complete follow up data, and were included in survival analyses. Survival and treatment outcomes were calculated using R-studio. Results: When all cases of CCA were included, the high-income group was more likely than the low-income to receive surgery, chemotherapy, and local tumor destruction modalities. Initial treatment modality based on income differed significantly between tumor locations. Patients of lower income had higher overall and cancer-specific mortality at 2 and 5 years. Non-cancer mortality was similar between the groups. Survival differences identified in the overall cohort were maintained in the intrahepatic CCA subgroup. No differences between income groups were noted in cancer-specific or overall mortality for perihilar tumors, with variable differences in the distal cohort. Conclusions: Lower income was associated with higher rates of cancer-specific mortality and lower rates of surgical resection in CCA. There were significant differences in treatment selection and outcomes between intrahepatic, perihilar, and distal tumors. Population- based strategies aimed at identifying possible etiologies for these disparities are paramount to improving patient outcomes.
H∞최적 제어기법을 이용한 전력계통의 안정화에 관한 연구

In this paper, we are considered various possible disturbance conditions in order to design controller, H ∞ optimal controller is successfully designed to control in such as situations. To do this, we are determined weighting function and design parameter γ to method of trial and error by Glover-Doyle algorithm. To compare with H∞-PSS and conventional-PSS which is applied in nominal system and load variations, the dynamic characteristics of H∞-PSS controller was verified which has a good response.
신경회로망을 이용한 ARS 장애음성의 식별에 관한 연구

Speech material, which is collected from AR (Automatic Response System), was analyzed and classified into disease and non-disease state. The material include 11 different kinds of diseases. Along with AR speech, DA` (igital Audio Tape) speech is collected in parallel to give the bench mark. To analyze speech material, analysis tools, which is developed local laboratory, are used to provide an improved and robust performance to the obtained parameters. To classify speech into disease and non-disease class, multi-layered neural network was used. Three different combinations of 3, G, 1 parameters are tested to obtain the proper network size and to find the best performance. From the experiment, the classification rate of 92.5% was obtained.

We have investigated the electrical performance of amorphous indiumegalliumezinc oxide (a-IGZO) thin-film transistors with various channel thicknesses. It is observed that when the a-IGZO thickness increases, the threshold voltage decreases as reported at other researches. The intrinsic field-effect mobility as high as 11.1 cm2/Vs and sub threshold slope as low as w0.2 V/decade are independent on the thickness of a-IGZO channel, which indicate the excellent interface between a-IGZO and atomic layer deposited Al2O3 dielectric even for the case with a-IGZO thickness as thin as 10 nm. However, the source and drain series resistances increased with increasing of a-IGZO channel thickness, which results in the apparent field-effect mobility decreasing. The threshold voltage shift (DVth) under negative bias stress (NBS) and negative bias illumination stress (NBIS) were investigated, also. The hump-effect in the sub threshold region under NBS and threshold voltage shift to negative position under NBIS were enhanced with decreasing of a-IGZO channel thickness, owing to the enhancement of vertical electrical field in channel.
In vivo imaging of tumor apoptosis using histone H1-targeting peptide

In vivo imaging of apoptosis could allow monitoring of tumor response to cancer treatments such as chemotherapy. Using phage display, we identified the CQRPPR peptide, named ApoPep-1(Apoptosis-targeting Peptide-1), that was able to home to apoptotic and necrotic cells in tumor tissue. ApoPep-1 also bound to apoptotic and necrotic cells in culture, while only little binding to live cells was observed. Its binding to apoptotic cells was not dependent on calcium ion and not competed by annexin V. The receptor for ApoPep-1 was identified to be histone H1 that was exposed on the surface of apoptotic cells. In necrotic cells, ApoPep-1 entered the cells and bound to histone H1 in the nucleus. The imaging signals produced during monitoring of tumor apoptosis in response to chemotherapy was enhanced by the homing of a fluorescent dye- or radioisotope-labeled ApoPep-1 to tumor treated with anti-cancer drugs, whereas its uptake of the liver and lung was minimal. These results suggest that ApoPep-1 holds great promise as a probe for in vivo imaging of apoptosis, while histone H1 is a unique molecular signature for this purpose.

<P><B>Better Contact Along the Edge</B></P><P>Electrical contact to graphene is normally done with metal contacts on its flat face, where there are few strong bonding sites for the metal. <B>Wang <I>et al.</I></B> (p. 614) encapsulated graphene with hexagonal boron nitride sheets and made metal contacts along its edge, where bonding orbitals are exposed. The resulting heterostructures had high electronic performance, with room-temperature carrier mobilities near the theoretical phonon-scattering limit.</P>
