We report a 70 year-old man with Binswanger's disease associated with mood symptoms. He was apparently well until 15 years ago when the treatment-resistant atypical mood symptoms had been appeared. He showed a fluctuating course in mental disturbance, such as irritable and labile affect, emotional incontinence, and irritable behavior. Two years ago, he was diagnose as hypertension, renal failure, and heart failure. He was admitted to psychiatric ward due to irritable mood, dysarthria, lack of bladder control, gait disturbance, and impulsive behaviors, which had been aggravated during the last 2 months. In physical examination, he had hypertension and both pretibial pitting edema was revealed, and also in neurological examination, exaggeration of deep tendon reflexes and weakness of extremities were found. On mental status examination, he showed irritable and labile mood with mild cognitive disturbances. Brain MRI demonstrated multifocal high signal intensity in periventricular white matter, both basal ganglia, and thalami on the T2 imaging. These findings were compatible with Binswanger's disease with mood symptoms.

Development of a thin and dry electrode for electrocardiography (ECG) is essential in order to prevent skin irritation, allergicreactions from electrolytic gel, and motion artifacts caused by relative motion between the electrodes and the skin. In thisstudy, we have developed a composite electrode made from Ag nanowires (AgNWs) and polyvinyl butyral (PVB), preparedby inverted layer processing (ILP). The initial composite electrodes were mechanically stable, fl exible, and transparent;however, most of the NWs were located beneath the surface of the PVB such that few conductive pathways were exposedand available to contact the skin. In order to resolve this issue, prior to transferring the AgNWs from the temporary glasssubstrate to the PVB, we irradiated the NWs with intensive pulsed light. This irradiation induced plasmonic heating of theAgNWs, which caused the NWs to sink towards the glass and form a dense layer on the temporary substrate. SubsequentILP resulted in the fabrication of an AgNWs/PVB composite electrode that demonstrated signifi cant surface coverage ofconductive pathways available for stable electrical contact with skin. The resultant composite electrode is an improved ECGelectrode that exhibits fewer motion artifacts compared to conventional Ag/AgCl-based wet electrodes since it is both dryand conformable.

A comparative and an analysis of the resemblance and the particularity of the women`s headgear, which has been developed in accordance with each of climate and historical background of the Eastern Slavs: the Russians, the Belarusians, and the Ukrainians, those are deeply influenced by the culture of costume of the Scythians which is considered as the origin of the Koreans` culture of costume, is presented in this study. A well-known Russian ethnographer D. K, Jelenin classifies the women`s head gear of the Eastern Slavs as a platok(глаток-a kind of scarf), a chepetch(чепец-a kind of skull cap), a shapka(мапка-a kind of hat), and a unmarried women`s venetch(девичий венец-a kind of crown) by its structural figure. Those 4 kinds of head gears are the basic head gears of the Eastern Slavic woman. However, the characteristics and the features of the head gears of each nations show us that they have been developed differently not only by the climatic and the geological influences but also by the influence of their historical background. Furthermore, we could realize that the Eastern Slavs had classified a person`s social position and a standing in family members by the head gear. The incantational and the religious meanings of the hair styles and the head gears are shown in this paper, For instance, they has been considered that a married woman without a hat is a disgrace, and it even affects to the harvest. Even they believed that a corn styled Russian woman`s hat named Roga protects a mother and her baby from the evil spirit. It seems that such a ethnographical culture is caused by their own faith of Russian orthodox and a non-Christian ancient religious culture of those regions.

원룸형 주택과 같이 연기감지기의 적응성이 떨어지는 장소에서 비화재보가 발생함에 따라 감지기에 대한 신뢰도가 하락하고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 연기감지기의 작동 신뢰도를 높이는 방안을 모색하고자, 화재 초기단계 및 비화재 상황에서의 연기생성 특성에 대한 실험을 실시하여 그 결과를 고찰하였다. 각 실험은 원룸형 주택과 복도를 구현한 Mock-up에서 10분간 진행하였고, 총 3개의 시나리오를 바탕으로 각각 3번씩 진행하였다. 첫 번째 시나리오는 화재 초기단계를 구현한 것으로 UL 268의 종이화재 시험방식의 축소모형을 이용하여 진행하였다. 두 번째와 세 번째 시나리오는 비화재 상황을 구현한 것으로 일상생활에서 사용될 가능성이 있으며, 충분한 연기를 발생시킬 수 있는 쑥뜸과 연막탄을 각각 사용하였다. 실험은 실 중앙에 광학농도계를 설치하여 감광율을 측정하고, 6개의 위치마다 온⋅습도, CO 그리고 CO2를 측정하였고, 연기의 감광율과 각 센서의 관계를 확인하였다. 첫 번째로 온도는 변화량이 작고 각각의 실험 별로 감광율이 다른 경향성을 나타내었다. 두 번째로 종이화재와 연막탄은 습도와 감광율에서 유사한 경향성이 나타났고, 쑥뜸은 불을 붙이는 과정인 120s 이후부터는 감소하고 360s부터는 감광율과 유사한 경향을 나타냈다. 세 번째로 CO와 CO2의 변화량은 전체적으로 감광율과 유사한 경향이 나타났다, CO는 감광율이 초당 1%/m정도 변화할 때, 1ppm에서 3ppm정도 변화하는 것으로 나타났고 CO2는 감광율이 초당 1%/m정도 변화할 때, 5ppm에서 8ppm정도 변화하는 것으로 나타났다. 다만, CO2는 화원으로부터 거리가 멀어지거나 인원의 호흡 등에 의해서 쉽게 변하는 양상을 확인했다. 분석결과 화재 초기단계와 비화재 상황에서 감광율과 가장 유사한 경향성을 나타내며 실험 별로 구분이 가능한 물질은 CO로 나타났으며, 부분적으로 CO2와 습도도 연기생성에서 화재 초기단계와 비화재 상황을 구분하기 위한 인자로서 활용 가능할 것으로 판단된다.
