In our previous study, a high CO2 absorption rate was achieved using a blended absorbent containing AMP,NH3, and TEA. The species of the blended absorbent was determined in this study using 13C nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR) spectroscopy and a modified Kent-Eisenberg model. The carbamate formation constant was also regressedusing the model. Bicarbonate and carbonate ions decrease the absorption efficiency and have a positive effect on CO2stripping. Carbamate has a negative effect on regeneration; a regeneration temperature of 373 K minimized the energyneeded. In conclusion, the prediction equation and NMR analysis provide an easy way of determining carbonate groupspecies and carbamate species concentrations, and this method will be helpful in optimizing CO2 capture with blendedabsorbents.
Synchronous Ectopic Pancreatoblastoma in a Child: A Case Report

Pancreatoblastoma is a rare primary pancreatic neoplasm of children that may arise in any portion of the pancreas. We report a case of a 3-yr-old boy who presented to with abdominal pain our hospital and a progressive bulge in his right abdomen. Biochemical evaluation and serum levels of tumoral markers were within reference limits. On the computed tomography, two tumors were found. One located in the head of the pancreas;however, a laparotomy revealed that the head of pancreas was compressed but normal. The other was in the left abdomen near the spleen and the tail of the pancreas. The diagnosis of two synchronous pancreatoblastoma originating from the omentum was confirmed by pathology. Therefore, a pancreatoblastoma should be considered when a large well-defined, lobulated, and heterogeneous mass is identified in the pancreas of children. In addition, an ectopic pancreatoblastoma should be considered when identified within or near the ectopic pancreatic tissue.

Two improvement approaches comprising of a mixed culture of Trichoderma reesei and Aspergillus niger and the addition of surfactants were employed in this study in order to enhance cellulolytic enzyme production as well as to improve the composition. Different delay times of A. niger inoculation (0, 24, and 48 h) and inoculum ratios of T. reesei versus A. niger (1:1 and 5:1) derived six mixed culture forms, which were 0 h/1:1, 0 h/5:1, 24 h/1:1, 24 h/5:1,48 h/1:1, and 48 h/5:1. It was found that the form 48 h/5:1allowed the highest FPA, 3.30 ± 0.34 IU/mL, and a relatively high BGA, 1.01 ± 0.25 IU/mL, thereafter being selected for the subsequent improvement step addition of surfactants. Among the three surfactants, including Triton X-100, CHAPS and sodium taurocholate, the third one was found to be the best one giving rise to the highest FPA and BGA, 5.02 ± 0.40 and 1.48 ± 0.28 IU/mL, respectively. Differently sourced cellulases were compared in the enzymatic hydrolysis of steam-exploded corn stover (SECS). Moreover, the cellulase produced by the mixed culture form 48 h/5:1 using SECS as a substrate showed the highest yield at 80.93 ± 2.04%, indicating that the composition of this cellulase was improved by the mixed culture of T. reesei and A. niger. The results validate that these two improvement approaches are efficient and applicable in cellulase production.

With the increasing depletion of shallow-earth mineral resources, deep mining will become the primary route of future mineral resources development. However, deep mining technology is a long way from being mature, and there are still a great number of issues that severely limit the growth of resources. In this paper, the acoustic emission (AE) tests of triaxially loaded and unloaded deep diorite are conducted. The results show that when confining pressure is at a low level, the failure mode of rock sample is mainly tension fracture; however as confining pressure increases, the failure mode gradually changes to shear failure. Under different stress paths, AE counting characteristics can be separated into four stages, including initial low-energy zone, pre-peak quiet zone, peak sudden burst zone and post-peak failure intensive zone (post-peak fast attenuation zone or post-peak high density zone). The damage variable is defined as the ratio of the AE count rate of a certain stage to the cumulative AE count rate of the failure process, and it accounts for the largest proportion at the stage of unloading confining pressure. In addition, when confining pressure increases, thedamage variable changes from a flat growth to a rapid growth, with the abrupt transition occurring around the peak stress.

The complete mitochondrial genome (mitogenome) of Gonocephalum outreyi was determined by using nextgeneration sequencing approach. The full length of this mitogenome is 15,836 bp, which consists of 37 typical metazoan mitochondrial genes with an identical genome organization to ancestral insects. The majority of the protein-coding genes begin with the codon ATN, except for cox1 and cox2 with AAT and AAA, respectively. To elucidate the phylogenetic position of G. outreyi, we used various sequence coding schemes for protein-coding genes and the combined nucleotide sequences of all mitochondrial genes for tree building under the Bayesian and Maximum Likelihood inferences. The phylogenetic results consistently supported G. outreyi as a member of the family Tenebrionidae. The monophyly of both Tenebrionoidea and Tenebrionidae were strongly supported. The Scraptiidae and Melandryidae were recovered to be non-monophyletic in regards to the Osphya. Within Tenebrionidae, the subfamilies Diaperinae and Tenebrioninae were found to be non-monophyletic.

The prepared permeable bricks using electric porcelain waste as the main raw material are investigated, which improves theutilization rate of electric porcelain waste, and realizes the organic unity of recycling resource and ecological environmentprotection. The effects of different raw material ratios on the permeability coefficient, apparent porosity, compressive strength,volume shrinkage rate and microstructure properties of electric porcelain waste permeable bricks are investigated. The electricporcelain waste with a ratio of over 85 wt.% have greatly improved the utilization rate of electric porcelain waste. The resultsare shown that the water-to-material ratio or foaming agent content are increased, the porosity and water permeability of theelectric porcelain waste permeable brick are increased, but the compressive strength of the electric porcelain waste permeablebrick is decreased. The 90 wt.% electric porcelain waste, the 3 wt.% kaolin, the 5 wt.% sintering aid, and the 2 wt.% foamingagents are optimum raw materials ratios, the water-to-material ratio for 0.9 and the drying temperature at 40 oC, the sinteringtemperature at 1200 oC and holding time for 1 h are obtained the excellent performance electric porcelain waste permeablebricks. The permeability coefficient is 3.9×10−2 cm/s, the volume shrinkage rate is 37.88%, the compressive strength is 1.146MPa, and the porosity is 79.0%.

Along with the operating velocity and traction power increasing continuously, the issue related to the safety and reliability of the high-voltage traction power system for high-speed trains have gradually been exposed during the practical service process. When the train passes a neutral section settled roughly per 15 km between two neighboring substations, the on-board vacuum circuit breaker (VCB) must to be operated for changing the input powers with diff erent phases. At the moment of switching on or off the VCB, the arc between the contacts in the arc-extinguishing chamber may be triggered, which tends to result in the operational overvoltage. Due to numerous inductances and capacitances existing in the traction power supply system, the overvoltage may lead to high-frequency electromagnetic oscillation spreading along the transmission routes. The on-board high-voltage equipments within the power supply system may suff er from the impulse brought from the VCB operational overvoltage frequently, which is possible to cause the insulation aging or breakdown issue. To investigate the characteristic of the operational overvoltage of VCBs, a ‘train-rail-catenary’ power supply model is built based on the measured impedance parameters, which has been verifi ed by the experimental tests. The generating mechanism with the infl uence factors of the operational overvoltage when switching on or off the VCB has been explored, meanwhile the distribution of the train body overvoltage on each carriage has also been presented.
