        The purpose of the study was to undertaken to analysis the Grab starting technique between national representive team(3) and Cheju's representive team(3) with 3D cinematography. The conclusions obtained were as follows: Cheju's showed more elapsed time than national representive team on starting block. and more vertical than horizontal direction of COG position, more concentrated vertical velocity & acceleration than forward direction. Therefore It is necessory for cheju's to train balanced trust force in horizontal and vertical direction in grab starting technique.

        자기장 저속 냉동보관법을 이용한 쥐 치아 치주인대세포의 활성도 검사

        본 연구의 목적은 흰쥐 상악 대구치를 발거하여 자기장 저속 냉동보관법을 이용하여 냉동 시 치주인대세포의 활성도 및 세포 사멸도를 MTT검색법과 TUNEL검사를 이용하여 측정하고자 하였다. 4주령의 암컷 Sprague-Dawley계 된 쥐의 상악 좌우 제1,2대 구치를 발거하여 각군 당 12개의 쥐 치아를MTT검색에 이용하였고 6개의 치아를 TUNEL 검사에 이용하였다. 실험군은 5개군으로 대조군은 즉시 발치군이며 4℃냉장고에서 1주일간 보관한 냉장군, 발치 후 동해방지제 처리과정을 거쳐 -196℃의 액화질소에 넣어 급속 냉동한 액화질소군, 21.7 ㎃, 60 ㎐, 1 G의 자기장을 이용하여 -0.3℃/min 의 속도로 -20℃까지 냉동 후 -196℃로 급속 냉동한 자기장군, -0.3℃/min의 속도로 -20℃까지 냉동 후 -196℃에 급속 냉동한 저속 냉동군으로 나누었다. 보존액은 F medium을 사용했으며 동해방지제로 10% dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO)를 사용하였다. 치근면을 단위면적으로 표준화하기 위해 MTT측정값을 Eosin 염색 후 530 ㎜에서 측정한 흡광도 값으로 나누었다. TUNEL 검사 시 각 조직슬라이드에서 400배 크기의 현미경 시야에서 임의로 세 부분을 지정하여 정상 세포수와 양성 세포수를 세어 그 비율을 계산하여 각 실험군 당 평균치를 구하였다. 통계 분석을 위해 one way ANOVA를 시행하였으며 사후검정으로 Scheffe와 Tukey HSD방법을 썼으며 결과는 다음과 같다. MTT검색에 의한 흡광도를 Eosin염색 후 측정한 흡광도로 나눈 값에서는 자기장군은 즉시 발치군보다 낮은 세포활성을 보였고 (p < 0.05) 액화질소군, 저속 냉동군과는 통계적으로 유의성 있는 차이를 보이지 않았다. 그러나 자기장군은 액화질소군, 저속 냉동군과 함께 냉장군보다는 높은 세포 활성도를 보였다 (p<0.05).TUNEL검사 결과도 자기장군은 즉시 발치군보다 치주인대의 세포사멸도가 높았으나 (p < 0.05) 저속 냉동군과 액화 질소군과는 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 자기장군은 냉장군보다 세포사멸도가 낮았으며 냉장군은 모든 군 중에서 세포 사멸도가 가장 높았다 (p<0.05). The purpose of this study was to evaluate the viability of periodontal ligament cell in rat teeth using slow cryopreservation method with magnetic field through MTT assay and TUNEL test. For each group, 12 teeth of 4 weeks old white female Sprague-Dawley rat were used for MTT assay, and 6 teeth in TUNEL test. The Maxillary left and right, first and second molars were extracted as atraumatically as possible under tiletamine anesthesia. The experimental groups were groupl (immediately extraction), group 2 (cold preservation at 4℃ for 1 week), group 3 (rapid Cryopreservation in liquid nitrogen), group 4 (slow cryopreservation with magnetic field of 1 G), and group 5 (slow cryopreservation). F medium was used as preservation medium and 10% DMSO as cryoprotectant. After preservation and thawing, the MTT assay and TUNEL test were processed. One way ANOVA and Scheffe method were performed at the 95 % level of confidence. The value of optical density obtained after MTT analysis was divided by the value of eosin staining for tissue volume standardization. In both MTT assay and TUNEL test, it had showed no significant difference among group 3,4, and 5. And group 3 had showed higher viability of periodontal ligament cell than group 2. From this study, slow cryopreservation method with magnetic field can be used as one of cryopreservation methods.

      • Hieronymus Mercurialis의 體操術과 身體修鍊의 醫學的 效果에 대한 小考

        This study reviewed Hieronymous Mercurilis' De Arte Gymnastica and value of exercise in conditions of health and disease. Mercurialis, as the author of De Arte Gymnastics(Six Books on the Art of Gymnastics)and scientific study of medical gymnatics, was the promulgator of health gymnastics. He considered all Gymnastics/exercises only in light of their medical value. Thus the importance of gymnastics lay soly in its healthful, medicinal aspeots. He olassified gymnastics in two kinds:preventive and therapeutic, and made it clear that the quantity and intensity of each exercise should be individualized accordinB to each person' sconstituion. The goal of preventive gymnastics was to maintain harmony of the humours, which was Hippocrates' definition of health. Besides being concerned with health, Mercurialis had the Greek appreciation for beautiful boody of harmonious proportions:he saw the two as being interrelated. A whole section of De Arte Gymnastics was devoted tothe care of patients confined to bed. Mercurialis' recommendations for their exercise, which included the use of a swinging bad to stir the circulation, were novel concepts at that time. Today a similar idea is seen in beds which mechanically exercise the paticient in an attempt to avoid bad sores and atrophied muscle5. The Swedish and Danish gymnastic systems of the nineteenth century were based upon this health gymnastics concept. Then, in this countries it is still used in much the same way that Mercurialis prescribed. The early American physical educators, such as Dudley Allen Sargent who was also a medical doctor, developed physical education in United States based on approximately the same interpretation of the needs of the people. This concept of Merourialis' health gymnastics(exercise) is still prevalent in morden day physical education and sport.

      • 대학생들의 운동참여제약 척도 개발

        The purpose of this study was to develop the Exercise Involvement Constraints Scale for college students in Korea. The subjects of this study were 232 college students who were involved in physical activity classes(tennis and table tennis)at the Cheju National University. The Questionnaire consisted of a list of 44 reasons for not participating in exercise. Items were selected by reviewing related literature and on the bases of two pilot studies. First, 12-factors were extracted by the principle-components factor analysis from the correlation matrix of the subscales. Eliminations were made to those items that failed to load at least 40 on their intended factor, or emerged with a strong cross-loading(.30 or above)on a nonintended factor. From this modification, 31 items were appiled to further analysis. Second, using 31-items, exploratory factor analysis with normal varimax rotation were repeated in order to provide a more complete picture of factor structure. The results of the factor analysis reveals 8 factors that in total explain 63.7% of the variance among the subscale items. These factors were motivation, sport facilities, exercise skill, time, activity barriers, fatigue from exercise, involvment change, and lack of will power. In order to a more valid instrument, using the statistical methods of stepwise multiple regression analysis, elimination were made to three items from motivation subscale. Thus, final scale consisted of 8 subscale with 28 items. Finally, subscale and scale reliability was examied using Cronbach's coefficients alpha. Alpha reliabilites ranged from .67 to .88. As a result of these analysis, it was conclude that the Exercise Involvement Constraints Scale(EICS) was a valid and reliable instrument to measure reasons for did not participating to exercise and physical activity.

      • 근운동을 위한 부하와 반복회수간의 법칙성 : training 부하의 간편한 설정법

        This study aims at fmding a simple means to weigh load through weigh loading. I estiablished the maximu-reoeated load (N) concerning various kinds of load(NP). In this study I made a sunny of the weight loading of 14 male grown-up persons (19-24) at a speed of one time a second. The events for this training consists of Bench Press (BP), Tension Curl (TC), Lateral Raise Standing(LS), Full Squat (FS) and Leg Curl(LC). The relation between N and P could be expressed in an exponential equation, "N=-a/n (P)+b,"so once-repeated and dynamic maximal strength per person could be found from this formula. The study of the examinees' repeated frequency and relative load (P 100/Po) on 14 persons in a res-pective item brought about "an exponential equation" expressed in N=-a/m (P 100/Po)+b. a'and b', invariables in each item were in the ratio of 0.053:5.643 (FS),0.092:4.144(LC),0.051:5.326(BP),0.087: 0.823(TC), and O.O71:4.52l(LS). It was estimated that the ratio of maximal strength(Po) to Load (%Po), without surveying isometrics muscle from the repeated frequency on optional load(kg).

      • 암반사면에서 FRP 보강 그라우팅 공법의 적용성 평가

        The instability of rock slopes caused by heavy rainfall and soil mass sliding needs the preventable and reinforcing method. The most important factor for the stability is the shear strength available in the planar part of the failure surface, which shows that a progressive failure takes place and a reinforcing of rock slope using FRP grout is effectively available. In this study, a grouting bolting interval predictions by limit equilibrium analysis and Matlab mathematical computer codes in several cases is presented for FRP reinforced rock slope. The proposed mathematical computer code can be easily applied for seeking properly FRP grout intervals prior to design and execute a reinforcement of a rock slope in practice.

      • Training 능력에 관한 연구 : 주의 굴·신근력에 대하여

        For the purpose of investigating trainability of elbow flexor and extensor strengths, twelve adult males and ten females (aged in 18-21 years) have been engaged in strength training of their elbow flexor and extensors. The program consisted of 10 times of isometric contractions a day, for 50 days with a frequency of 6 days a week. The result obtained were as follows: 1. The respective mean strength increases of the flexors and the extensors were 8.8kg(+32%) and 4.9kg (+29%) in the males, and 5.1kg(+30%) and 2.8kg(+29%) in the females, all of those increments were statistically significant. 2. Elbow extensor strength showed a slightly greates inprovement (in %) than that of flexor, but there was me significant difference between these, 3. The ratios of strength/cross-section (including both flexor and extensors) resulted in less increments (26.7% in the males and 17.9% in the females) than the strength increments (%) descnied above. 4. Based on these result, it was concluded that the flexor and the extensor muscles possess the same extent of train ability in strength. The factors affecting strength increment were also discussed.
