        중생 고품질 내병 다수성 벼 ‘영보(嶺寶)’

        ‘Yeongbo’ is a variety of japonica rice (Oryza sativa L.) with good eating quality, resistance to rice stripe virus, rice dwarf virus, and bacterial blight disease. It was developed by the rice breeding team of the Yeongdeok Branch, National Institute Crop Science, Rural Development Administration in 2014. This variety was derived from a cross between ‘Yeongdeog35’ with good eating quality and ‘Saekyehwa’ with good plant type in the 2002 summer season. A promising line selected through the pedigree breeding method, YR24269-1-2-1-2-3-3, was designated as ‘Yeongdeog57’ in 2011. After a local adaptability test at nine locations from 2012 to 2014, ‘Yeongdeog57’ was released under the name of ‘Yeongbo’ in 2014. ‘Yeongbo’ had a short culm length of 66 cm and medium growth duration. This variety was resistant to K1, K2, and K3 races of bacterial blight, rice stripe virus, and dwarf virus, and moderately resistant to leaf blast disease. ‘Yeongbo’ had translucent and clear milled rice kernel without white core and belly, and good eating quality according to a panel test. The yield potential of ‘Yeongbo’ in milled rice was approximately 5.75 MT/ha at an ordinary fertilizer level in the local adaptability test. This cultivar would be adaptable to middle plain area, south plain area, Yeongnam plain area, east costal area, and south mid-mountainous area. (Registration No.6804)

        MAS를 이용한 줄무늬잎마름병 저항성 조생종 벼 ‘해담쌀’ 개발

        ‘Haedamssal’ is an early maturing and rice stripe virus disease-resistant cultivar adaptable for early-transplanting cultivation that was developed by the rice breeding team of the Department of Southern Crop, NICS, RDA, in 2014. This cultivar was derived from the cross YR25869 (YR21247-B-B-B-49-1/Sasanishiki BL4//Koshihikari) and YR25868 (Unkwang//YR21247-B-B-B-49-1/Sasanishiki BL4) made in the 2005/2006 winter season and was advanced to the F5 generation by a bulk breeding method using rapid generation advance. To incorporate rice stripe virus resistance, marker-assisted selection on the RSV gene was conducted in 3-way and 6-way cross F1 generation using the tightly linked marker RM6897. From testing in the replicated yield trial in 2011, a promising line YR26258-B-B-B-33-3 was selected and it was designated as ‘Milyang276’. A local adaptability test of ‘Milyang276’ was performed at three locations from 2012 to 2014 and it was named as ‘Haedamssal’, which was a good eating quality variety. The culm length was 67 cm in yield trials, which was 4 cm shorter than ‘Jopyeong’. The number of spikelets per panicle was lower than ‘Jopyeong’, whereas the number of tillers per hill was higher. This variety was resistant to RSV disease, bacterial blight, and leaf blast disease. The milled rice yield of ‘Haedamssal’ was 5.48 MT per ha at the early transplanting in the local adaptability test. ‘Haedamssal’ is well adapted to early transplanting cultivation in the southern plain area (Registration No. 6811).

        Innovative Healthcare Wearable Device Usage and Service Enhancement

        Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze the range of use of healthcare wearable devices in the changing healthcare environment based on digital transformations and to suggest strategic ways to be proactively established for well-being, disease treatment and prevention, and improving operational efficiency. Design/methodology/approach: This study presents to analyze real-world cases of current wearable devices use by people for healthy daily life. Findings: As the results of the study based on previous studies and cases, the following five items can be proposed to enhance the service of the spread of healthcare-based wearable devices. The accuracy of the data, the safety of data being built in real-time, the institutional security to reduce risk, the establishment of the platform, the product design reflecting customer needs, and the adequacy of product prices should be considered. Research limitations/implications: This study suggests implications of applications of wearable and smart devices in healthcare through cases for service enhancement and a widespread of wearable devices in healthcare.

        An Experimental Study on Effects of Pair Programming on Task Performance

        In recent years, pair programming has become a widely used approach for development of information systems. According to a worldwide survey, 35 percent of 104 development projects reported using pair programming. However, previous studies have shown rather mixed results in terms of the effectiveness of pair programming, comparing to individual or independent programming. This paper, therefore, uses a lab setting to control some of the variables that appear to have caused conflicting results in earlier studies. Writing SQL queries for given problem statements is selected as the task the subjects to solve. One key issue addressed is the distribution of work load among the pair programmers and the independent programmers. Another is communication among co-workers as would occur in a real-world system development environment. The results of this study indicate there is no significant difference in task performance pair programming and independent programming.

        Competencies Matter for Digital Transformation and Operational Performance in Nepalese SMEs

        본 연구의 목적은 네팔 중소기업을 중심으로 개인 및 조직역량이 디지털 전환 구현 및 운영성과에 미치는 영향을 분석하고자 하였다. 네팔 중소기업 직원 154명으로부터 수집된 데이터를 활용하여 회귀분석을 기반으로 연구 모델과 가설검증을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 정보통신 기술 능력(H1), 변화 수용(H2), 기술 습득(H3) 등 개인역량은 네팔 중소기업의 디지털 전환 구현에 양의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 조직역량 중 조직 인프라(H4), 최고 경영진의 의지(H5), 조직 지원(H6)은 디지털 전환 구현에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 디지털 전환 구현(H7)은 운영성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 본 연구결과에서 디지털 전환을 구현하기 위해서는 개인 및 조작 역량의 중요성이 실증분석결과에서 제시된 만큼 관리자나 최고경영진은 자사에서 개인과 조직의 역량이 디지털 전환 구현의 동인임을 인지하고 구성원(종업원)의 업무 프로세스를 바탕으로 업무 효율성을 향상시키기 위한 매뉴얼과 지침을 개발해야 할 것이다. 이러한 관점에서 구성원은 업무 프로세스 단계에서 디지털 디바이스를 적용하고 자신의 업무 역량을 향상시키기 위해 필요한 교육훈련 기회에 참여해야 할 것이다. 본 연구 결과는 디지털 전환을 고려하고 있는 조직이나 기업 또는 디지털 전환 전략을 효과적으로 채택하려는 조직이나 기업에게 기초적인 자료로 활용될 수 있다. This study investigates the effect of individual and organizational competencies on digital transformation implementation and operational performance in small and medium-sized enterprises in Nepal. Regression analysis with a small sample size is used to test the proposed research model and hypotheses utilizing data collected from 154 employees of SMEs in Nepal. The results of this study showed that individual capabilities measure of information and communication technology skills, change acceptance, and technology acquisition have positive relationships with digital transformation implementation in Nepal’s SMEs. In addition, the study’s results indicated that organizational infrastructure, top management’s willingness, and organizational support as a part of organizational capabilities positively affect digital transformation implementation. As individual and organizational capabilities are confirmed to be the drivers of DX implementation, firms should develop manuals and guidelines to understand employees’ work processes and improve work efficiency. Digital transformation implementation positively affects operational performance in Nepal’s small and medium-sized enterprises. The significance and value of this study lies in its potential to serve as fundamental guidance for corporations seeking to implement digital transformation and organizations contemplating adopting digital transformation strategies effectively.

        Serum Globotriaosylceramide Assay as a Screening Test for Fabry Disease in Patients with ESRD on Maintenance Dialysis in Korea

        Background/Aims: Fabry disease is an X-linked recessive and progressive disease caused by α-galactosidase A (α-GaL A) deficiency. We sought to assess the prevalence of unrecognized Fabry disease in dialysis-dependent patients and the efficacy of serum globotriaosylceramide (GL3) screening. Methods: A total of 480 patients of 1,230 patients among 17 clinics were enrolled. Serum GL3 levels were measured by tandem mass spectrometry. Additionally, we studied the association between increased GL3 levels and cardiovascular disease, cerebrovascular disease, or left ventricular hypertrophy. Results: Twenty-nine patients had elevated serum GL3 levels. The α-GaL A activity was determined for the 26 patients with high GL3 levels. The mean α-GaL A activity was 64.6 nmol/hr/mg (reference range, 45 to 85), and no patient was identified with decreased α-GaL A activity. Among the group with high GL3 levels, 15 women had a α-GaL A genetics analysis. No point mutations were discovered among the women with high GL3 levels. No correlation was observed between serum GL3 levels and α-GaL A activity; the Pearson correlation coefficient was 0.01352 (p = 0.9478). No significant correlation was observed between increased GL3 levels and the frequency of cardiovascular disease or cerebrovascular disease. Conclusions: Fabry disease is very rare disease in patients with end-stage renal disease. Serum GL3 measurements as a screening method for Fabry disease showed a high false-positive rate. Thus, serum GL3 levels determined by tandem mass spectrometry may not be useful as a screening method for Fabry disease in patients with end stage renal disease.         친환경농자재 처리가 배과수원 토양 및 과실품질에 미치는 영향

        Coming with the well-being era, consumer's demand for safe agricultural products is increasing. It is urgent to develop an environment-friendly pear production system. Accordingly, this study was conducted to develop an environment-friendly pear production system by using several environment-friendly agricultural materials which is known to be effective in agricultural production. In the effects of environment-friendly agricultural materials on the soil chemical characteristics in pear orchard, the content of total carbon, organic matter, Ca and Mg increased a little respectively compared with those of 2008, and 2nd treatment showed the highest EC and Mg content in the soil among treatments. The content of leaf N, P and Ca in 2009 decreased compared with those of 2008, while Mg content showed no difference between 2008 and 2009 years. Average pear weight in 2009 was 31g higher than that of 2008 (682g) and 2nd treatment showed the highest pear weight (738g) among treatments. The average sugar content was higher in 2009 (12.6$^{\circ}Bx$) compared with that of 2008 (12.2$^{\circ}Bx$) and the plot of 2nd treatment highest sugar content (12.6$^{\circ}Bx$) among treatments. There were no difference in hunter value of L among treatments, but hunter value of a showed higher 1.62 in 2009 than that of 2008 (3.73). The highest of gumminess and cohesiveness of fruits were obtained from 1st treatment and adhesiveness and chewiness of fruits were obtained from 3rd and 1st treatment respectively. Firmness of fruit increased a little in 2009 compared with that of 2008, while the highest firmness was obtained from 3rd treatment with 1.63kg/5mm$\oint$ among treatments. Phosphate content in the peel of 'Niitaka' pear of fruit skin in 2009 (0.97g/kg) showed 0.06g/kg more content than that of 2008 (0.91g/kg), while the highest content was obtained from 3rd treatment (1.15g/kg). Potassium content in the peel of 'Niitaka' pear in 2009 was 8.20g/kg, which is 0.06g/kg more content than that of 2008 (7.82g/kg) and the highest content was obtained from 1st treatment (8.34g/kg) among treatments. The highest nitrogen content in the flesh of 'Niitaka' pear was obtained from 3rd treatment (4.32mg/g), while it was the lowest in control plot (3.10mg/g). Phosphate content in the flesh of 'Niitaka' pear in 2009 (8.20g/kg) showed 0.06g/kg more content than that of 2008 (7.82g/kg), while the highest content was obtained from 1st treatment (8.34g/kg). There were no difference of the potassium content in the fruit peel of 'Niitaka' pear between years, but 1st treatment showed the highest content (11.81g/kg) among treatments, while the lowest was obtained from the control plot (10.83g/kg). 웰빙시대의 도래와 함께 안전농산물에 대한 국민요구가 커져가고 있으며, 이에 따라 친환경 배 생산체계 개발이 절실한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구는 최근 효과가 큰 것으로 알려지고 있는 유효미생물제제인 Amo 등을 비롯한 몇가지 친환경농자재를 조합 처리하여 친환경 배 생산체계를 수립코자 2년간 수행한 연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 친환경농자재 처리에 의한 배과수원의 토양양분의 변화는 T-C, 유기물, Ca 및 Mg 함량은 2008년에 비해 2009년 약간 증가하였으며, 처리 간에는 EC, Ca 및 Mg 함량이 2 처리에서 많은 경향이었다. 2. 엽내 질소 및 인산함량은 2008년에 비해 2009년 각 처리구 모두에서 감소하였다. 칼륨 함량은 2008년 1.93%에 비해 2009년은 2.06%로 증가하였으며, 처리간에는 1처리구가 2.17%로 가장 많았다. 칼슘함량도 2008년에 비해 2009년 각 처리구 모두에서 함량이 감소되었으며, 처리간에는 3처리구가 1.52%로 가장 많았다. 3. 연차간 과실특성을 보면 과중은 2008년 평균 682g에 비해 2009년에는 713g으로 31g이 높았으며, 처리간에는 2처리구가 738g으로 가장 높았다. 과실의 당도함량은 12.2~12.6$^{\circ}Bx$로 2008년 평균 12.2$^{\circ}Bx$에서 2009년 12.6$^{\circ}Bx$로 당도가 증가하였다. 처리간에는 대조구와 2처리구가 12.6$^{\circ}Bx$로 가장 높았다. 4. 과피색의 L값은 연차간 처리구간에 큰 차이가 없었으나, a 값의 경우 2008년 3.73에 비해 2009년에는 5.35로 1.62 높은 경향을 보여 성숙진행이 2009년에 다소 빨랐음을 알 수 있었으며, 처리간에는 2처리구가 4.82로 가장 높았다. 5. 과실 조직의 처리간 응집성 및 점착성은 1처리구가 각각 1.97, 0.14로 가장 높았다. 부착성은 2008년과 비교하여 2009년이 -0.86이 적었으며, 유의성이 인정되었다. 처리간 부착성은 3처리가 -2.58로 가장 높았다. 과실의 경도는 1처리구가 14.4로 가장 높았으며, 씹힘성도 1처리가 1.77로 가장 높았다. 6. 과피의 무기성분 함량 중 인산함량은 2008년 0.91g/kg에 비해 2009년 0.97g/kg으로 0.06g 더 많았으며, 처리간에는 3처리가 1.15g/kg으로 가장 많았다. 칼륨함량은 2008년 7.82g/kg에 비해 2009년 8.20g/kg으로 2009년이 더 많았으며, 처리간에는 1처리가 8.34g/kg으로 가장 많았다. 칼슘은 처리간에는 3처리에서 166.80ppm을 나타내 가장 함량이 높았다. 7. 과육의 질소함량은 처리간에는 3처리가 4.32mg/g으로 가장 함량이 높았다. 인산함량은 2008년 평균 1.59g/kg에 비해 2009년 1.42mg/g로 함량이 적었으며, 처리간에는 1처리, 3처리가 1.68g/kg으로 가장 많았다. 칼륨함량은 년차 간에는 차이가 없었으며, 처리간에는 1처리가 11.81g/kg으로 가장 함량이 많았다. 칼슘함량은 2008년 34.13ppm에서 2009년은 35.10g/kg을 나타내 함량이 증가하였다. 마그네슘 함량은 3처리가 0.93g/kg으로 가장 함량이 높았다.

        밀폐 공간내에서의 화재에 의한 연기의 유동

        In foreign country such as USA and Japan, considerable research has been done regarding the spread of smoke in room of fire involvement by using computer. but, in our country it has not been, so, this paper presents a detailed qualitative description of phenomena which occure during typical fire scenarios through numberical analysis. The governing equations are solved by using FVM method with non-staggered grid. The SIMPLE method for pressure-velocity couple and power-law scheme for convection terms are used. It shows that a plume is formed, hot plume gases impinge on the ceiling and they spread across it. then, it eventually reaches the bounding walls of the enclosure. It takes 20s for smoke to fill the enclosure.

        Influence of Glibenclamide on Catecholamine Secretion in the Isolated Rat Adrenal Gland

        The aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of glibenclamide, a hypoglycemic sulfonylurea, which selectively blocks ATP-sensitive K$^+$ channels, on secretion of catecholamines (CA) evoked by cholinergic stimulation and membrane depolarization from the isolated perfused rat adrenal glands. The perfusion of glibenclamide (1.0 mM) into an adrenal vein for 90 min produced time-dependently enhanced the CA secretory responses evoked by ACh (5.32 mM), high K$^+$ (a direct membrane depolarizer, 56 mM), DMPP (a selective neuronal nicotinic receptor agonist, 100 ${\mu}$M for 2 min), McN-A-343 (a selective muscarinic M1 receptor agonist, 100 ${\mu}$M for 2 min), Bay-K-8644 (an activator of L-type dihydropyridine Ca$^{2+}$ channels, 10 ${\mu}$M for 4 min) and cyclopiazonic acid (an activator of cytoplasmic Ca$^{2+}$-ATPase, 10 ${\mu}$M for 4 min). In adrenal glands simultaneously preloaded with glibenclamide (1.0 mM) and nicorandil (a selective opener of ATP-sensitive K$^+$ channels, 1.0 mM), the CA secretory responses evoked by ACh, high potassium, DMPP, McN-A-343, Bay-K-8644 and cyclopiazonic acid were recovered to the considerable extent of the control release in comparison with that of glibenclamide-treatment only. Taken together, the present study demonstrates that glibenclamide enhances the adrenal CA secretion in response to stimulation of cholinergic (both nicotinic and muscarinic) receptors as well as by membrane depolarization from the isolated perfused rat adrenal glands. It seems that this facilitatory effect of glibenclamide may be mediated by enhancement of both Ca$^{2+}$ influx and the Ca$^{2+}$ release from intracellular store through the blockade of K$_{ATP}$ channels in the rat adrenomedullary chromaffin cells. These results suggest that glibenclamide-sensitive K$_{ATP}$ channels may play a regulatory role in the rat adrenomedullary CA secretion.

      • Cross-plane thermoelectric Seebeck coefficients in nanoscale Al<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub>/ZnO superlattice films

        <P>Superlattice thin films, which are used in thermoelectric (TE) devices for small-scale solid-state cooling and for generating electrical power, have recently been attracting attention due to their low dimensionality, low thermal conductivity, and enhanced power factor. Considering the measurement techniques for characterizing TE properties, very limited information, including cross-plane Seebeck coefficients of superlattice films, has been reported. This information is required for the assessment of the interface between the films and to understand phonon scattering in superlattice films. In this report, thermally stable cross-plane thermoelectric Seebeck coefficients of Al2O3/ZnO (AO/ZnO) superlattice films are presented, at temperature differences (Δ<I>T</I>) ranging from 2 to 12 K. Longitudinal (in-plane) thermal diffusion in the Cu/AO/ZnO/Cu samples, which occurred during the measurements due to the size differences among the samples located between a micro-Peltier and aluminum nitride cooling plate, was investigated. The cross-plane Seebeck coefficients of 3- and 6-cycled AO/ZnO superlattice films were determined to be ∼9.4 ± 0.4 and ∼30.6 ± 0.7 μV K<SUP>−1</SUP>, respectively, showing stable values in the evaluated Δ<I>T</I> range. Two distinct phenomena, in-plane thermal diffusion and the effect of the environment, were identified in cross-plane Seebeck measurements as dominant factors controlling the temperature coefficient of AO/ZnO superlattice films. In addition, a new TE parameter, the Seebeck temperature coefficient, was proposed for superlattice films.</P>
