본 연구는 농경지와 농촌마을로부터 발생하여 소하천으로 유입되는 비점오염물질을 경감시키기 위하여 농업간선배수로 끝의 논에서 배수로 물을 관개수로 이용하였을 때 수질정화효과를 살펴보고, 비점오염물질 정화를 위한 효과적인 벼 재배양식을 탐색하기 위하여 수행하였다. 모든 벼 재배양식에서 하천으로 유입되는 비점오염물질이 정화되는 효과를 확인할 수 있었다. 잡초의 건물량을 포함한 벼 재배양식별 총건물생산능력은 기계이앙재배에서 가장 높았으나, 무경운자연재배와는 차이가 적었고, 비점오염물질인 T-N과 P2O5, K2O의 흡수량은 기계이앙재배 > 무경운자연재배 > 건답직파재배 순으로 높았다. 벼 전 생육기간동안 비점오염물질의 정화량은 T-N과 T-P, K 모두 무경운자연재배 > 건답직파재배 > 기계이앙재배 순이었는데, 기계이앙에 비하여 무경운자연재배에서 T-N 323, T-P 12, K 183 kg ha-1가 더 정화되었으며, 건답직파재배에서는 T-N 68, T-P 0.7, K 16 kg ha-1가 더 정화된 결과를 보였다. 기계이앙재배는 건물생산량과 비점오염물질의 흡수량은 가장 많았으나 관개 소요량이 적고 시비에 의하여 비점오염물질의 정화효과는 상대적으로 낮았다. 벼 생육단계별 비점오염물질 정화량은 기계이앙재배의 경우 분얼기 > 결실기 > 신장기 순으로 높았으나, 무경운자연재배와 건답직파재배에서는 결실기 > 분얼기 > 신장기 순이었다. 벼 재배양식별 쌀수량은 기계이앙재배의 4,698 kg ha-1와 비교하여 무경운자연재배는 13%, 건답직파재배는 15% 감수되었다. Objective of this study was to assess the efficient rice cultivation practice to mitigate the non-point source pollutants loading to the adjacent watershed. Cultivation practices consisted of machine transplanting, direct seeding on dry paddy, and no tillage in which no fertilizer and pesticide were applied to paddy field. Water in drainage canal was used as irrigation source during the entire rice growing season. Loading of the non-point source pollutants to the adjacent small stream was mitigated by all treatments. Rice yield, total biomass (rice + weeds), and uptake of T-N, P2O5, and K2O were higher in machine transplanting practice than those in direct seeding and no tillage practices. However, the purification effects of non-point source pollutants were followed in orders of no tillage > direct seeding > machine transplanting due to quantity of irrigation water. The annual purification quantity of T-N, T-P, and K by rice cultivations ranged from 46 to 369 kg ha-1, 4.1 to 16.4 kg ha-1, and 55 to 238 kg ha-1, respectively, during the entire rice growing season. Results revealed that no tillage practice of rice cultivation was the best management option in reducing the loading of the non-point source pollutants from the drainage canal into stream.

‘Danmi’, a sugary rice (Oryza sativa L.), was developed by the Department of Functional Crops, NICS, RDA in 2008. This variety was derived from a cross between ‘Sugary’ a genetic stock of germplasm as a source of sugary endosperm and ‘Seomjinbyeo’ in summer of 1994. The pedigree of ‘Danmi’ is YR16541-14-3-1-2-1-1-3-1-1 which was designated as ‘Milyang 227’ in 2005. Heading date of ‘Danmi’ is August 19, a medium-late maturing ecotype. The total sugar content of ‘Danmi’ was 21.7% with fructose (1.16%), glucose (7.87%), sucrose (9.69%), maltose (0.52%), and raffinose (2.13%), respectively. The appearance of grain is flat shape with 1,000 grain of brown rice is 16.1g. The yield potential of ‘Danmi’ in brown rice is 2.58MT/ha at ordinary fertilizer level of local adaptability test from 2006 to 2008. The sugary rice ‘Danmi’ would be adaptable to the plain paddy field of middle, honam and yeongnam province of Korea.
시설재배지의 재배방법 및 입지적 조건이 지하수 NO<sub>3</sub>-N 함량에 미치는 영향

농업활동 및 지하수의 입지적 조건이 시설재배지 지하수의 $NO_3-N$함량에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 영남지역 10개 시군의 주요 시설재배단지에서 지하수 1370 지점의 $NO_3-N$ 함량을 조사하고, 재배조건으로서 시설재배지의 경작년수, 퇴비시용량, 제염방법 및 입지적 조건으로서 지하수깊이, 점토함량, 배수등급 등을 조사하였다. 조사된 지점 중 천층지하수의 19.7%, 암반지하수의 1.3%가 우리나라 음용수 수질기준인 $10mg/{\ell}$를 초과하였고, 농업용수 수질기준인 $20mg/{\ell}$를 초과하는 지점은 천층수 6.3%, 암반수 0.4%로 나타났다. 지하수 $NO_3-N$함량과 가장 상관이 높은 것은 점토함량 및 지하수깊이로 1% 수준에서 유의성이 인정되었다(점토함량 $r=-0.241^{**}$, 지하수깊이 $r=-0.228^{**}$). 재배조건에 따라서는 경작년수와 5% 수준에서 유의성이 인정되었으나(경작년수 $r=0.104^*$), 퇴비시용량 등과는 상관관계가 인정되지 않아 재배조건과 같은 농업활동보다는 토성과 깊이 등의 입지적 조건이 지하수 $NO_3-N$함량에 더 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 천층수의 $NO_3-N$과 암반수의 $NO_3-N$ 함량 사이의 상관을 조사한 결과 양자 사이에는 고도의 정(正)의 상관$(r=0.532^{**})$이 인정되어 천층수의 수질이 암반수 $NO_3-N$함량에 영향을 미침을 알 수 있었다. To investigate effects of fanning practice and $NO_3-N$ contents of groundwater in intensive horticultural greenhouse area of Yeongnam province, the groundwater samples from 1,370 sites were collected and analyzed. In addition, cultivation year, crops, desalinization methods, amounts of manure application, tube well depth and soil texture with clay contents were observed. Of the investigated sites, 19.7% of shallow groundwater and 1.3% of confined groundwater were exceeded over $10mg/{\ell}$ as the $NO_3-N$ drinking limit value, respectively. $NO_3-N$ concentration in groundwater was highly significantly correlative with clay content $(r=-0.241^{**})$, well depth $(r=-0.228^{**})$ and cultivation duration $(r=0.104^*)$, respectively. In case of desalting crop method being executed for desalinization of greenhouse soil, the $NO_3-N$ value of groundwater was lower than any other desalinization method. The fact that $NO_3-N$ contents of confined groundwater was affected by shallow groundwater was clarified by that $NO_3-N$ contents in shallow were significantly correlative with the confined groundwater $(r=0.532^{**})$.

화영벼와 일품벼를 이용하여 벼멸구에 피해에 따른 농업적 특성, 수량 및 품질에 미치는 영향을 검토한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 벼멸구 피해지에서 간장 수장 및 수당립수는 차이가 없었으나, 등숙율 및 쌀수량은 무피해구에 비해 감소되어 출수기 이후의 피해가 큰 것으로 나타났다. 2. 현미의 외관품질 분석 결과 벼멸구 피해지의 정상립 비율은 감소하였고, 미숙립, 피해립 및 사미의 발생은 증가되었다. 3. 벼멸구 피해지의 쌀의 이화학적 특성 분석 결과 아밀로스 함량은 차이가 없었으나, 단백질 함량은 높았다. 최고 점도는 낮고 치반점도는 높았으며 취반시 호화특성이 불량한 것으로 나타났으며, 식미치는 낮아졌다. This study was carried out to investigate the change yield and grain quality in rice caused by damages of brown planthopper (Bph) on major agronomic traits at the ripening stage. A major agronomic traits such as culm length, panicle length, number of panicle and number of grain per panicles was no-significant difference compared hopperburn area (HBA) and moderately damaged area (MDA) by brown planthopper with non-damaged area (NDA). but, the ripeing ratio and yield in HBA and MDA was significantly decreased. The perfect rice of brown rice in HBA and MDA was also lowered than the NDA and the immatured grain among imperfect rice in damaged area by BPH was significantly increased than in the NDA. Among the traits related with palatability of cooked rice, the amylose content was not affected by damage of brown planthopper, whereas, the protein content was significantly increased in the HBA and MDA. additionally, Peak viscosity in HBA and MDA is lower than the NDA, and setback was increased. In most cases, there was negative on yield and grain quality by the damage of brown planthopper at the ripening stage. Thus, the rice product harvested in damaged area should be separated with that in non damaged area for grain market quality of milled rice.

Recently, concerns have been voiced about the high eating quality rice in the market. To cope the high quality demands in rice market, a rice cultivar ‘Jinsumi’ which is showing high grain quality and multi-resistant to diseases was developed by the National Institute of Crop Science, RDA, Miryang, Korea. ‘Jinsumi’ was derived from a three-way cross of ‘Milyang165’ and F1 plant of YR16195-B-B-B-21-1/Milyang169. The pedigree of ‘Jinsumi’ was YR21999-B-B-B-17-3-1 and designated as ‘Milyang 218’ in 2005. Heading date of ‘Jinsumi’ was August 15 as mid-late maturing ecotype. ‘Jinsumi’ showed multi resistant to rice stripe virus (RSV), bacterial blight races of K1, K2, K3 and moderately resistant to leaf blast disease. The grain appearance of ‘Jinsumi’ was translucent and showed 96.6% of head rice ratio. The milled rice yield of ‘Jinsumi’ was 5.74 MT/ha at ordinary transplanting of local adaptability test. ‘Jinsumi’ would be adaptable to the plain area of Yeongnam province in Korea.
