      • Skyradiometer를 이용한 공주지역의 에어러솔의 광학적 특성

        본 연구에서는 공주대학교 자연대 옥상에 설치된 분광복사측정기의 일종인 Skyradiometer로 측정된 직달 및 산란 일사량을 이용하여 간접적으로 공주지역의 에어러솔의 광학적 특성을 분석하였다. 분석기간은 2004년 1월부터 11월까지이며 에어러솔의 광학적 특성의 분석에 활용된 알고리즘은 Nakajima et al.(1996)이 개발한 Skyrad.pack.3이다. 주요 분석요소는 에어러솔의 광학두께(AOT), 단일 산란비율(SSA), 옹그스토롬 지수(α) 및 에어러솔의 크기별 분포이며 분석결과의 질을 높이기 위하여 초기 관측 자료의 품질검사를 수행하였다. 공주지역의 11개월 평균 AOT, α 및 SSA는 각가 0.6, 1.1, 그리고 0.9이며 계절 및 기상현상에 따라 큰 시간변동을 보이고 있다. 크기별 입자분포에서는 미세입자와 조대입자에서 최대치가 나타나는 바이 모달 형태를 보이고 있으며 황사(Asian dust) 기간인 봄철에는 조대입자의 총 부피가 크게 증가하였다. 이러한 현상은 봄철동안에 AOT와 SSA가 각각 크게 증가하고 감소하는 점에서도 확인되고 있다. 또한 공주지역의 에어러솔은 풍향에 큰 영향을 받지 않는 것으로 나타나고 있다. We investigate the optical properties of aerosols over Gongju by indirect method using the ground measurement, Skyradiometer. The analysis period is from January to November, 2004. Skyrad.pack.3 is used to estimate the optical properties, such as the aerosol optical thickness(AOT), single scattering albedo(SSA), Angstrom exponent(α) and size distribution, of aerosols from the ground measured radiance data. And quality control process is applied to the raw data to improve the quality of analysis results. The 11-month average of AOT, α and SSA are 0.6, 1.1, and 0.9 respectively. The averaged volume spectra of aerosols show a bi-modal distribution, first peak at fine mode and second peak at coarse mode. Asian dust events clearly increase the AOT and coarse particle, however it decrease the SSA. The effect of wind direction on the optical properties of aerosols over Gonju is not manifest.

        The incidence of double primary cancer is about 10% in all kinds of cancers. Double primary cancer is usually accompanied by gastrointestinal cancer. Esophageal cancer is supposed to be frequently accompanied by squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck or the upper respiratory tract, because of such common carcinogens as smoking and alcohol ingestion. Esophageal cancer and hypopharyngeal cancer are usually diagnosed by esophagogastric endoscopy with biopsy. We performed endoscopic ultrasound-guided Trucut biopsy(EUS-TCB) to diagnose a mediastinal mass in a 49 year-old patient, who visited our hospital because of voice change. During procedure, we accidently found enlarged celiac lymph node, and obtained tissue from the mediastinal lymph node and the celiac lymph node. We confirmed double primary cancer of squamous cell carcinoma in the esophagus and the hypopharynx via esophagogastric endoscopy.

        뇌·심혈관질환 예방을 위한 사업장 지원 프로그램의 단기효과 분석

        목적 뇌 심혈관질환은 주요한 사망원인이며 우리나라 산업재해 보상에 있어 중요 부분을 차지하고 있다 따라서 한국산업안전보건공단은 2000년도부터 지역 산업보건기관을 통해 많은 사업장에 뇌 심혈관질환 예방 프로그램을 지원해왔다 본 연구는 이 프로그램이 근로자의 뇌 심혈관질환 발병위험도 개선에 미치는 단기영향을 평가하고자 수행되었다 방법 2007년도 집중관리 프로그램 대상자 중 전후 발병위험도 평가가 가능했던 5,902명(53.3%)을 대상으로 혈압 콜레스테롤 비만도 및 발병위험도를 전후 비교하였다 발병위험도 평가는 KOSHA CODE H-11-2004 지침을 사용하였다 결과 평균 수축기 및 이완기 혈압이 4.9 mmHg 3.1mmHg 감소하였으며 총콜레스테롤과 비만도(BMI)는 각각 8.4 g/dL 0.1 kg/㎡ 감소하였다 흡연율은 6.0% 감소하였으며 규칙적인 운동 시행률은 23.1% 증가하였다 전체적인 발병위험도 개선율은 49.1%였다 결론 국가 지원의 뇌 심혈관질환 예방 프로그램은 단기적으로 좋은 성과를 나타냈다 향후 연구에서는 사업장 단위의 장기적인 영향과 비용-효과에 대한 분석이 이루어질 필요가 있다 Objectives Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death and a major source of workers' Compensation claims in Korea Since 2000 the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (KOSHA), working through local occupational health institutions has supported cardiovascular disease prevention programs at a number of companies in Korea The purpose of this study was to assess the short term effects of this effort Methods A total of 11,077 workers at risk were enrolled in the workplace cardiovascular disease prevention program and 5,902 workers (53.3%) completed the 1-year course during 2007 The program consisted of a medical checkup and health counseling for the workers by occupational health nurses The guidelines for this prevention program were adopted from KOSHA Code H-11-2004 To determine the program's effectiveness the workers risks for cardiovascular disease were assessed before and one year after completion of the program Results The intervention led to significant reductions in the mean systolic and diastolic blood pressures of 4.9 mmHg and 3.1 mmHg respectively Mean total cholesterol and BMI were also reduced significantly by 8.4 g/dl and 0.1 kg/㎡ The rate of smoking was decreased by 6.0% and the percentage of workers engaging in regular exercise was increased by 23.1% of the 3,530 workers with the low risk and above the overall cardiovascular risk was improved in 1,734 (49.1 %) of them Conclusions The cardiovascular disease prevention program supported by the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency reduces cardiovascular diseases risks among workers and may improve the health status of workers in Korea

      • 코발트함유거대고리의 합성 및 분석

        The macrocyclic hexanuclear metal cluster. [CoIII6(fshz)6(S)6], 2 (S : MeOH, H2O) was prepared using a trianionic pentadentate ligand, N-formylsalicylhydrazidate (fshz3-). Due to the meridional coordination of the ligand to the metal ion, the ligand is not only bridging the ring metal ions using a hydrazide N-N group but also enforcing the stereochemistry of the metal ions as a propeller configuration. The alternations of the chiralities of the metal centers expand the cyclic ring system of complex 2 to the 24-membered ring system. The neutral hexanuclear manganese complex with noncrystallographic pseudo C31 symmetry is in the crystallographic inversion center. The disc-shaped hexanuclear cluster is 1.8 nm in diameter and 0.8 nm in thickness and has a vacant cavity in the center of the cluster. Three solvent molecules coordinated at the metal centers with configuration are in one face of the cluster and the remaining three solvent molecules coordinated at the other metal centers with configurations are in the other face of the cluster. The two faces of the cluster have opposite chiralities to each other.

      • Carboxyethylgermanium sesquioxide(Ge-132)가 항암제의 세포독성에 미치는 영향

        The cytotoxicity of carboxyethylgermanium sesquioxide(Ge-132) and anticancer drugs (cisplatin, mitomycin C, 5-fluorouracil) against tumor cell lines(L1210, SK-HepG-1) and mouse splenocytes was examined by MTT assay. Ge-132(8.5 x 10²㎕/ml, 1.7 X 10³㎕/ml, 3.4 x 10³㎕/ml) showed dose-dependent cytotoxicity against the tumor cell lines, on the contrary, increased cell proliferation against the normal mouse splenocytes. Combination of Ge- 132 with cisplatin(1.5㎕/ml, 15㎕/ml), mitomycin C(0.5㎕/ml, 1.0㎕/ml) or 5-fluorouracil (0.31㎕/ml, 1.25㎕/ml) showed additional cytotoxicity against L1210 and SK-HepG-1 cell lines, however, reduced clearly the anticancer drugs-induced cytotoxicity against the normal mouse splenocytes.

      • 중위도 겨울철에서 구름의 고도와 중첩이 대기가열 및 냉각율에 미치는 영향

        이 연구에서는 장파 (Chou et al., 1994) 및 단파(Chou, 1992)복사 모델을 이용하여 중위도 겨울철 조건하에서 구름의 고도, 구름의 중첩이 대기 가열 및 냉각율에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 모델의 입력자료로 사용한 중위도 평균적인 기온, 비습, 오존의 구조는 McClatchey et al.(1972)로부터 얻었다. Based on the longwave and shortwave radiation model, the effects of cloud height and overlapping on the atmospheric heating and cooling rate was studied in midlatitude winter condition. The vertical profiles of air temperature, specific humidity, and ozones was obtained from McClatchey et al.(1972).

        Aplastic anemia is one of the hematologic disease which is characterized by cytopenia in peripheral blood, hypocelluarity in bone marrow and marrow failure. Most common cause of aplastic anemia is unknown. Acquired causes of it are viral infection, drugs, and chemical agents. The symptoms of aplastic anemia are fatigue, headache, dizziness, exertional dyspnea, and pallor, and they are due to abrupt decrease in hemoglobin level. The incidence of acquired aplastic anemia is higher in Eastern population than Western. In geeral, men and women are affected with equal frequency, but the age distribution is biphasic, with the major peak in the teens and tweenties and a second rise in the elderly. We report a case of a 28-year-old man who experience aplastic anemia after ingestion of Cordyceps with the review of literatures.

      • 호기성 미생물을 이용한 크롬의 생물학적 환원

        Chromium occurs naturally in the earth's crust as well as in air, surface, and ground water. However, chromium is released to the environment in much larger amounts as a result of human activities. Hexavalent chromium, Cr(Ⅵ), is very soluble in water in natural environment and very toxic, carcinogenic, and mutagenic in animal and man. On the other hand trivalent chromium, Cr(Ⅲ), is less toxic and less soluble and thus is a lesser problem. This study has been carried out in order to reduce toxicity of Cr(Ⅵ) by an Escherichia coli strain. After adding E. Coli., the results were obtained from concentration of total Cr, Cr(Ⅵ). Cr(Ⅲ), pH, turbidity, and VSS in aerobic condition was summarized as follows : After 48hr aerobic condition in experiment of synthetic wastewater, the reduction rate of Cr(Ⅵ) was 20%. Also, the reduction rate of Cr(Ⅵ) was 60% in experiment of raw wastewater.

        Problems of wastes that pigs produce are increasing rapidly in the hog raising industry nowadays. consequently, the generation volume of excreta also is increasing but most of that is not disposed appropriately and exposed in eco-system therefore the disposal of stock excreta is becoming more and more serious. considering the physical and chemical characteristics of livestock excreta, the pollution loading rate - BOD, COD etc. - is very high. as alternative plan, that is, as one method kind of composisting, the utilization of the soil reformation agent will become one solution in managing the upper problems. also, the flyash of 3.7 million tons are producing every year and about 32.2% of that, 1.18 million ton is recycled as concrete, cement, cementassistance, road etc. consequently, the discharged flyash is not abandoned and a plan of recycling is needed acutely. gypsum of 4.16 million tons in 1998 presently was produced and about 57.2% of that, 2.38 million tons was recycled as cement, construction materials. the present stock is 25 million tons. therefore, in this study, because organic materials can be obtained in pig excreta and calciums can be obtained in gypsum, the small amount of elements can be acquired in flyash for the soil reformation agents, mixing the three materials - pig excreta, gypsum, flyash - adequately, investigated technique of making the soil reformation agents and described below in comparrision with the changes of temperature, PH TOC, T-N, TOC/T-N ratio etc.

      • 남창천과 삼향천에 분포한 주요 수생식물의 수질정화능

        The nutrient removal-capacity of four major dominant species distributed in Namchang-chon polluted with livestock wastewater and Samhyang-chon polluted with industrial and domestic wastewater were investigated. Water qualities and soil properties of three polluted sites were a quite different in concentration of nitrogen, SS and Ga. Dominant species in livestock wasetewater were Persicaria thunbergii, Zizania latiforia, Phragmites communis and Oenanthe japanica, those in industrial and domestic were Phragmites communis. Changes of NO₃-N, NH₄-N and P concentrations of culture solution are high in cultivor of Zizania latiforia and Oenanthe japanica. All four species removed NO₃-N most effectively. In experiment used directely polluted water from three areas ; all species from livestock wasetewater uptaked NO₃-N effectively. Phragmites communis from domestic, and Persicaria thunbergii and Oenanthe japanica from industrial and domestic wasetewater removed NH₄-N effectively. All species cultured in industrial waserewater removed P well, and Phragmites communis and Persicaria thunbergii cultured in domestic wastewater removed it moderately.
