Renal papillary necrosis occurs most commonly in association with urinary tract infection, diabetes mellitus, sickle cell disease, vascular disease, and analgesic nephropathy. Clinical presentation may be related to symptoms of pyelonephritis such as flank pain, renal colic, hematuria, Proteinuria, recurrent fever. The necrotic tissue may be sloughed off, and the diagnosis can sometimes be made by finding piece of renal medullary tissue in the urine. Pyelography may demonstrate cavities and sinuses in the resion of papillae. Anuria & oliguria can lead to the acute renal failure, and especially prognosis and progress may be affect influenced by urinary infection. We report a case of renal papillary necrosis with ingestion of bear gallbladder. On pyelography, Persistent contrast is diagnostic clue of renal papillary necrosis. This case is not be related to urinary tract infection, but occurred acute renal failure. Expectant treatment was gone.

Gastritis cystica profunda (GCP) is a rare disease characterized by gastric foveolae elongation along with hyperplasia and cystic dilatation of the gastric glands extending into the tissue beneath the submucosa. GCP mainly develops at the gastroenterostomy stoma but can arise in a stomach that has not undergone surgery. The proposed pathogenesis is related to chronic inflammation, ischemia and the presence of a foreign body. GCP may present as a submucosal tumor, Polyp or a giant gastric mucosal fold. Endoscopic ultrasonography (EUS) is an effective diagnostic method for differentiating GCP from protruding and elevated gastric lesions. We report a case of GCP along with the endoscopic and EUS findings that were indistinguishable from a malignant submucosal tumor.
Web-Shear Capacity of Thick Precast Prestressed Hollow-Core Slab Units Produced by Extrusion Method

The prestressed hollow-core slab (PHCS) is a precast concrete member that can maximize productivity and structural performance efficiency of concrete cross-section. For the PHCS members produced by extrusion method, however, it is difficult to provide the shear reinforcement due to its unique production method to form the hollow-cores in concrete section. The recently revised ACI318 Building Code Requirements stipulate that web-shear capacity of thick hollow-core member over 315 mm depth without the minimum shear reinforcement should be reduced in half, which may result in an excessively conservative shear design for the PHCS member compared to conventional prestressed concrete members with thin webs. In this study, shear tests on PHCS members, which have typical thicknesses widely used in precast construction industry, were conducted, and a large number of shear test data were additionally collected from previous studies to evaluate the current shear design criteria for PHCS in detail.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Seed aging is one of the major events, affecting the overall quality of agricultural seeds. To analyze the effect of seed aging, soybean seeds were exposed to controlled deterioration treatment (CDT) for 3 and 7days, followed by their physiological, biochemical, and proteomic analyses. Seed proteins were subjected to protamine sulfate precipitation for the enrichment of low-abundance proteins and utilized for proteome analysis. A total of 14 differential proteins were identified on 2-DE, whereas label-free quantification resulted in the identification of 1626 non-redundant proteins. Of these identified proteins, 146 showed significant changes in protein abundance, where 5 and 141 had increased and decreased abundances, respectively while 352 proteins were completely degraded during CDT. Gene ontology and KEGG analyses suggested the association of differential proteins with primary metabolism, ROS detoxification, translation elongation and initiation, protein folding, and proteolysis, where most, if not all, had decreased abundance during CDT. Western blotting confirmed reduced level of antioxidant enzymes (DHAR, APx1, MDAR, and SOD) upon CDT. This in-depth integrated study reveals a major downshift in seed metabolism upon CDT. Reported data here serve as a resource for its exploitation to metabolic engineering of seeds for multiple purposes, including increased seed viability, vigor, and quality.</P> <P><B>Biological significance</B></P> <P>Controlled deterioration treatment (CDT) is one of the major events that negatively affects the quality and nutrient composition of agricultural seeds. However, the molecular mechanism of CDT is largely unknown. A combination of gel-based and gel-free proteomic approach was utilized to investigate the effects of CDT in soybean seeds. Moreover, we utilized protamine sulfate precipitation method for enrichment of low-abundance proteins, which are generally masked due to the presence of high-abundance seed storage proteins. 3,4-Dihydroquinazoline 1 as T-type calcium channel blocker was in vivo evaluated against A549 xenograft in BALB/c-nu Slc mice, which exhibited 54% tumor growth inhibition through oral administration of 8 mg/kg of body weight and was slightly less active than doxorubicin (68%). In addition, this compound was also profiled for its acute toxicity to ICR mice to afford oral LD50 value of 1,038 mg/kg of body weight.
Unsteady flow modeling of an electrorheological valve system with experimental validation

<P>This paper presents an unsteady flow modeling of an electrorheological (ER) valve system and verifies its effectiveness through experimental investigation. After designing a cylindrical ER valve, a dynamic model for unsteady flow of ER fluid is derived by considering the fluid inertia. The field-dependent pressure drop of the unsteady flow is then calculated and validated with the experimental result. In order to clearly observe the difference between the unsteady flow model and the steady model, the flow rate of the ER valve is analyzed under low frequency and high frequency sinusoidal inputs. In addition, in order to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed unsteady flow model, a position control system activated by ER valves is constructed. The dynamic model of the control system is formulated on the basis of the unsteady flow analysis, and control responses such as flow rate, pressure drop and displacement are compared between the unsteady flow and the steady flow models.</P>
Impacts of Soil Texture on Microbial Community of Orchard Soils in Gyeongnam Province

Soil management for orchard depends on the effects of soil microbial activities. The present study evaluated the soil microbial community of 25 orchard (5 sites for sandy loam, 7 sites for silt loam, and 13 sites for loam) in Gyeongnam Province by fatty acid methyl ester (FAME) method. The average values for 25 orchard soil samples were 270 nmol g<SUP>-1</SUP> of total FAMEs, 72 nmol g<SUP>-1</SUP> of total bacteria, 34 nmol g<SUP>-1</SUP> of Gram-negative bacteria, 34 nmol g<SUP>-1</SUP> of Gram-positive bacteria, 6 nmol g<SUP>-1</SUP> of actinomycetes, 49 nmol g<SUP>-1</SUP> of fungi, and 7 nmol g<SUP>-1</SUP> of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi. In addition, silt loam soils had significantly low ratio of cy17:0 to 16:1ω7c and cy19:0 to 18:1ω7c compared with those of loam soils (p < 0.05), indicating that microbial activity increased. The average soil microbial communities in the orchard soils were 26.7% of bacteria, 17.9% of fungi, 12.6% of Gram-negative bacteria, 12.5% of Gram-positive bacteria, 2.5% of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi, and 2.2% of actinomycetes. The soil microbial community of Gram-negative bacteria in silt loam soils was significantly higher than those of sandy loam and loam soils (p < 0.05).
