자동차(自動車) 폐촉매(廢觸媒)의 침출액(浸出液)으로부터 백금족(白金族) 금속(金屬)의 용매추출(溶媒抽出)

자동차 폐촉매의 침출액으로부터 백금족 금속의 분리를 위하여 용매추출에 대한 기초연구가 수행되었다. 추출제로 tri-n-butyl phosphate (TBP), tri-n-octylamine (TOA) 그리고 di-n-hexyl sulfide (DHS)를 등유에 희석하여 사용하였다. 추출제의 종류 및 농도가 백금, 팔라듐 그리고 로듐의 추출거동에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 또한 세륨, 납, 철, 마그네슘 그리고 알루미늄 등 침출액에 존재하는 주요 금속불순물의 추출거동도 함께 조사하였다. TBP는 백금과 팔라듐, 그리고 TOA는 백금, 팔라듐, 로듐을 동시에 추출하였다. DHS 추출제인 SFI-6에 의한 용매추출 시 백금이 팔라듐과 함께 유기상으로 추출되었으나, SFI-6R은 팔라듐만 선택적으로 추출하였다. SFI-6R은 SFI-6에 비하여 팔라듐에 대한 선택성이 우수하였으나 추출속도가 느렸다. 추출제의 종류에 따라 백금족 금속과 함께 추출되는 금속불순물들이 달라지며 세정 또는 탈거공정에서 이들을 제거하여야 한다. 자동차 폐촉매의 침출액으로부터 백금, 팔라듐 그리고 로듐을 분리하기 위하여 먼저 DHS 추출제인 SFI-6R를 사용하여 팔라듐을 분리한 다음 TBP 또는 TOA으로 백금을 추출하여 로듐과 분리하는 공정이 적절한 것으로 나타났다. The solvent extraction for the separation of platinum group metals from the leach liquor of spent automotive catalysts has been studied. Tri-n-butyl phosphate (TBP), tri-n-octylamine (TOA) and di-n-hexyl sulfide (DHS) were used as extractants and kerosene as a diluent. The extraction behavior of platinum, palladium and rhodium has been investigated as functions of different kinds of extractants and their concentrations. In addition, the extraction behavior of the major metal impurities such as cerium, lead, iron, magnesium and aluminum has been investigated. Platinum and palladium were extracted with TBP. And platinum, palladium and rhodium were extracted with TOA. Platinum was co-extracted with palladium into the organic phase by solvent extraction using SFI-6 of DHS extractant, but only palladium was selectively extracted with SFI-6R. The selective extraction of palladium with SFI-6R was found better than that with SFI-6, but the kinetics of extraction with SFI-6R was found poor in comparison to SFI-6. The metal impurities extracted simultaneously during the extraction of platinum group metals should be removed in scrubbing and stripping processes. A suitable process has been proposed for the separation of platinum group metals from the leach liquor of spent automotive catalysts. Initially palladium was extracted with SFI-6R, followed by the separation of platinum with TBP or TOA leaving rhodium in the raffinate.

Spiders are easily distinguished from all other creatures by behavior of making webs. Among the web building spiders which depend largely on their webs to predation, Atypidae, four species in Korea, uses the purse web which is the most primitive one than other spider`s web in Korea. To analyze the chemical properties of the purse web, 30 ㎎ of Atypus coreanus` web was collected in Joan-myun, Namyangjoo-city, Kyunggi-do. As a result, the purse web of Atypus coreanus mostly consists of Glycine (5.3%), Glutamic acid (8. 26%) and Alanine (14. 17%). Especially the web of Atypus coreanus has more proportion of serine (9.28%), which plays an important role in intricacy, than that of orb webs used by Nephila clavata(4.84%) and Araneus ventricosus(4.84%).

The present paper aims at studying the gender and role reversal patterns of women from the Shakespeare’s plays feminist and liberal humanist perspectives. This study assumes feminism as an offshoot of the liberal humanism, which posits a subject desiring to be autonomous, to be not only just free, but also to be the origin and guarantee of its own identity, the source of its own being, meaning and agency. One might say that liberals are in general committed to an ontology of the individual- a metaphysical conception of the individual as an irreducible entity endowed with an existence that can be taken to transcend the limitations of any particular culture or society. King Lear is very much a political play, concerned with power and government in the royal family. In the patriarchal society which defines power and politics as “masculine” privileges, Goneril and Regan strive to hold regal power committing “masculine” crimes. In the process they strengthen and maintain the patriarchal systems of men. These threatening women are characterized as monsters and devils by their contemporary misogynist discourses, and subsequently they are outcast. However, in the process of their destruction, they put into question the validity and legitimacy of the patriarchal system. Shakespeare dramatizes complex women as individuals of love, sexual desire, political ambition, and life-care. Goneril, Regan, try their best to achieve self-fulfillment and their agency as human beings in spite of the limits of their patriarchal system. They deny their socially and culturally given roles of docile lover, dependant daughter, and servile wife. They show the developing processes of their true self-fashioning even though they are contained in the patriarchal system in fine.

Although the human conscience and its functions have been variously interpreted and although the ways of moralists, theologians and psychologists part when the provenance and the nature of the norms to which conscience is bound are at issue, there is a fundamental agreement as to the reality and significance of this mental faculty. It is full of sweetness and pleasantry. It is perhaps too good-natured for comedy. It has little satire, and no spleen. It aims at the ludicrous rather than the ridiculous. It makes us laugh at the follies of mankind, not despise them, and still less bear any ill-will towards them. Shakespeare's comic genius resembles the bee rather in its power of extracting sweets from weeds or poisons, than in leaving a sting behind it. There is a certain stage of society in which people become conscious of their peculiarities and absurdities, affect to disguise what they are, and set up pretensions to what they are not. This gives rise to a corresponding style of comedy, the object of which is to detect the disguises of self-love, and to make reprisals on these preposterous assumptions of vanity, by marking the contrast between the real and the affected character as severely as possible, and denying to those who would impose on us for what they are not, even the merit which they have. This is the comedy of artificial life, of wit and satire. Shakespeare represents these two kinds of misrepresentation in Twelfth Night. Sir Toby, with his troupe, provokes Malvolio's mis-guided desires by misrepresenting Olivia's false epistle. Misrepresentation debunks by its very falsity Malvolio's “false” desire to marry up and dominate over his household. Here misrepresentation represents the wrongness of desire stimulated by it.Malvolio is both a kind of an actor and the audience caught up by the air of pestilent performances in the theater. Malvolio's humorous and over-ruling desire is condemned as madness. Unlike Malvolio, Viola actively misrepresents herself as Caesario. By usurping her gender and identity, she also provokes Olivia's desire of love and derives her out of her autic self. Viola's virtue lies not in her birth but in her performances and her marrriage represents the very power of representation. Thus Shakespeare represents by his misrepresentations in Twelfth Night the emergent social mobility and flexibility of men's identity. Imaginative literature, Misrepresentation is simultaneously a grace and a curse as its literary history shows.
