Hue-assisted automatic registration of color point clouds

This paper describes a variant of the extended Gaussian image based registration algorithm for point clouds with surface color information. The method correlates the distributions of surface normals for rotational alignment and grid occupancy for translational alignment with hue filters applied during the construction of surface normal histograms and occupancy grids. In this method, the size of the point cloud is reduced with a hue-based down sampling that is independent of the point sample density or local geometry. Experimental results show that use of the hue filters increases the registration speed and improves the registration accuracy. Coarse rigid transformations determined in this step enable fine alignment with dense, unfiltered point clouds or using Iterative Common Point (ICP) alignment techniques.
Discrimination of Chinese Baijiu grades based on colorimetric sensor arrays

In this study, a novel colorimetric sensor arraybased on chemo dyes including porphyrins and pH indicatorswere developed to analyse the volatile organiccompounds of Chinese Baijiu with different grades. Ethylacetate, ethyl butyrate and ethyl caproate appeared bysignificantly different concentration in different Baijiugrades measuring by gas chromatography and mass spectrometryand they were chosen as characteristic volatileorganic components. The olfactory visualization systembased on colorimetric sensor arrays was used to identifydifferent Baijiu grades. The data were processed bybuilding the principle components analysis, linear discriminantanalysis and K-nearest neighbor classificationmodels with the results of sensory evaluation and olfactoryvisualization system. This work presents a new-style colorimetricsensor using sensitive chemo dyes which hassignificant potential in quantitative analysis of volatileorganic compounds, afterwards identifying different gradesof Baijiu.

Microgravimetry is a rising and important branch developed on the foundation of classical gravimetry. In this paper, methods, techniques and application of microgravimetry for underground Palace are introduced. Some survey curves show agreeable result compared with the theoretical calculation of models. It can be a useful method for looking for underground palace and catacombs. 미세중력 측정기는 최근 그 중요성이 부각되고 있는 분야로 전통적인 중력측정장치를 기초로 개발되었다. 이 논문에서는 지하 광전 탐사 작업을 위한 미세중력 측정기의 원리와 기술, 그리고 활용법을 소개한다. 몇몇 조사 곡선들은 모델들을 통한 이론적 계산치와 비교하여 볼 때 왜 만족스러운 결과들을 보여주고 있다. 이 방법들은 지하의 왕궁이나 묘지들을 탐사하는데 유용하게 사용될 수 있을 것이다.

Purpose: G-protein coupled estrogen receptor 1 (GPER) probably play important roles in the progression of breast cancer including endocrine therapeutic resistance. We evaluated GPER in primary breast cancers. Methods: Immunohistochemistry was used to detect GPER in paraffin-embedded tissues of primary breast cancers from 423 patients and GPER expression was correlated with clinicopathological factors. Results: GPER was expressed in 63.8% of specimens, coexpressed with estrogen receptor alpha (ERα) in 36.6% of tumors and was positive in 62.5% of the ERα-negative tumors. The expression of GPER had no relationship with the status of ERα, progesterone receptor and HER2. Although the expression of GPER was significantly inversely related with nodal status (p=0.045), no correlation between GPER expression and other clinicopathological variables (age, menstruation status, tumor size, stage, histologic grade, Nottingham Prognostic Index or pathological type) was found. Conclusion: GPER and ERα exhibited independent expression pattern of distribution in primary breast cancers. A long-term follow-up and a more definite molecular phenotype for ER are necessary in confirming studies.
Deep learning-based recovery method for missing structural temperature data using LSTM network

Benefiting from the massive monitoring data collected by the Structural health monitoring (SHM) system, scholars can grasp the complex environmental effects and structural state during structure operation. However, the monitoring data is often missing due to sensor faults and other reasons. It is necessary to study the recovery method of missing monitoring data. Taking the structural temperature monitoring data of Nanjing Dashengguan Yangtze River Bridge as an example, the long short-term memory (LSTM) network-based recovery method for missing structural temperature data is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the prediction results of temperature data using LSTM network, support vector machine (SVM), and wavelet neural network (WNN) are compared to verify the accuracy advantage of LSTM network in predicting time series data (such as structural temperature). Secondly, the application of LSTM network in the recovery of missing structural temperature data is discussed in detail. The results show that: the LSTM network can effectively recover the missing structural temperature data; incorporating more intact sensor data as input will further improve the recovery effect of missing data; selecting the sensor data which has a higher correlation coefficient with the data we want to recover as the input can achieve higher accuracy.
A Study on Chinese-Korean Bilinguals` Language of Thought in English Writing

This paper attempts to examine language of thought and code switches among three languages the Chinese-Korean bilingual English learners employ in the process of English writing. 24 Korean dominant, Chinese-Korean bilinguals of three groups at the different English learning stages were chosen as subjects who were required to complete an English writing task with pictures by the method of ``think aloud`` respectively. Wang and Wen`s (2002) five English writing steps and Wen and Guo`s (1998) classification of language functions in the text output of English writing were used to analyze data. The findings of the study indicate that Chinese-Korean bilingual English learners use Korean and Chinese language of thought largely to help themselves complete English writing task. This study suggests that Chinese-Korean bilinguals have an outstanding ability in switching different linguistic codes and their existing linguistic knowledge is a great asset in learning the third language English.

A high efficient photocatalyst (TiO2/WO3/GO) was developed with tungsten trioxide doping and graphene oxide hybridization. XRD and SEM indicate the formation of crystalline anatase/rutile TiO2 and hexagonal and cubic WO3. UV–vis spectroscopy shows the excellent visible-light-responsive performance. The photocatalyst exhibits excellent photocatalytic performance for bisphenol A degradation under visible light and sunlight irradiations. Transformation by-products were identified and main degradation pathways were proposed. The photocatalytic mechanism is also proposed on the basis of the fact that charge separation is facilitated owing to photo-generated electrons transfer from TiO2 to WO3 to GO and photogenerated holes transfer from WO3 to TiO2.

This study attempts to analyze the content validity of the language knowledge sections of four National Matriculation English Test (NMET) papers administered in 2012 from the perspective of the New Senior English Curriculum Standards (NSECS) and the 2012 test syllabus in order to see to what extent the language knowledge sections of the NMET meet the requirements of the NSECS and specifications of the test syllabus. The results show that all items of the language knowledge sections of four NMET papers had relatively high content validity with its design corresponding to the requirements of the NSECS and the 2012 test syllabus in terms of basic grammar and grammatical use of vocabulary. However, some deficiencies were found which might affect the content validity of the NMET. Most test items of the language knowledge sections were multiple-choice questions so that the expected responses were limited to selected production responses. It is suggested that limited and extended production responses should be increased in order to improve quality of the language knowledge section. The types of test items should also be diversified to examine test takers' higher level oflanguage knowledge.
