Insulin drug was loading in chitoshan nanospheres using electrospraying method, a pH- and temperature-sensitive biodegradable hydrogel, which is an oligomer serine-poly(lactide)-poly(ethylene glycol)-poly (lactide)-oligomer serine (OS-PLA-PEG-PLA-OS) pentablock copolymer was used as a matrix to containing chitosan–insulin electro sprayed nanospheres (CIN). The properties of the OS-PLA-PEG-PLA-OS pentablock copolymer and the chitosan–insulin nanoparticles such as sol-gel transition, degradation in vitro and in vivo were characterized. The results showed that the chitosan–insulin nanospheres uniformly distributed in the matrix had a reinforcing effect on the mechanical properties and prolonged the degradation time of the hydrogel depot under body conditions. In addition, the cytotoxicity experiment results indicate that the composite could be used as a biomaterial for drug delivery system. The composite solutions accommodating different concentrations of the chitosan–insulin nanospheres were subcutaneously injected into induced diabetic BALB/c mice to study the in vivo insulin-release profile. The result showed that insulin concentrations in blood plasma were maintained at a steady-state level. Furthermore, the bio-properties of the insulin were retained and it showed a blood glucose level reducing effect for more than 60 hours after injection to a streptozotocin (STZ)-induced diabetic mouse model. The results suggested that this injectable pH–temperature sensitive hydrogel containing chitosan– insulin electro sprayed nanosphere composites has promising potential applications for type 1 diabetes treatment.

Recently, vegetarian diets have experienced a dramatic increase in popularity. The aim of the study is to explore and test the relationship between the factors influencing consumers' dietary decisions in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The questionnaire applied a five-point Likert scale to investigate factors that affect Ho Chi Minh City's citizens when they have a vegetarian diet. 497 respondents (68% female; 61.2% aged 18-22; 82.7% had regular vegetarian diets) living in Ho Chi Minh City took part in both online and offline surveys. The results were processed by SPSS 22.0 software. The reliability was checked by Cronbach Alpha and Exploratory factor analysis (EFA) to identify the underlying relationships between measured variables. The Correlation analysis was implemented to show how strong and degree of two variables are related to each other before the multivariate regression equation was analyzed. The result showed the Five factors that were motivating people in Ho Chi Minh City to decide on plant-based diets, such as Animal Welfare, Health, Religion, Mood, and Reference groups. The mood is the most influential variable that significantly influences people's food choices. Attitudes toward vegetarian diets are changing. Therefore, recognizing the trends in food consumption might help companies take advantage of investment opportunities and build their marketing strategies.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the impact of several factors on students’ decisions to attend a public institution in Vietnam’s North Central area. The enrollment issue toward regional institutions is particularly critical in the Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training reforming the university enrollment process and the complicated scenario of the Covid-19 pandemic. A total of 500 students were surveyed for research samples. Data is synthesized, validated, cleaned, and analyzed using SPSS and AMOS software using methods including reliability, EFA, CFA, and SEM. The findings suggest that the proposed independent components (individual factors, study fees, advertisement, infrastructure and facilities, local features, and lastly, training activities) have a beneficial impact on students’ decision to attend a public university in the North Central region. The study also found that the graduation exam outcome had a moderating effect on the relationship between registration and students’ decisions. These imply targeted solutions for regional public universities to diversify training majors, improve training quality, capitalize on local advantages, increase interaction, and promote training programs and image to be more effective in attracting students and maintaining competition in the current enrollment environment.

Objective: To compare left ventricular (LV) function, ejection fraction (EF), end-diastolic volume (EDV), end-systolic volume (ESV), and regional wall motion analyzed in 256-slice dualsource coronary CT angiography (DSCT) with 2D transthoracic echocardiography (TTE). Materials and Methods: One hundred twelve patients suspected of coronary artery disease underwent DSCT and 2D-TTE within one week for LVEF, EDV, and ESV. The correlation between DSCT and 2D-TTE measurements was analyzed through linear regression and Bland- Altman analysis. Regional wall motion was visually scored with a 3-point scale (1, normal; 2, hypokinesia; 3, dysphagia, akinesia). Results: Average LVEF at 66.45%±1.27% (range 23%–85%) as determined on DSCT compared with 66.09%±1.01% (range 25%–84%) on 2D-TTE. LVEF exhibited a good correlation between DSCT and 2D-TTE (r=0.715; p<0.001). Good correlations between DSCT and 2D-TTE were demonstrated for LVEDV (r=0.732; p<0.001) and LVESV (r=0.841; p<0.001). Mean differences (±SD) of 1.78±24.10 mL (p<0.05) and 0.77±13.70 mL (p<0.05) were observed between DSCT and 2D-TTE for LVEDV and LVESV, respectively. LVEF was slightly overestimated with DSCT (0.52%±9.59%; p<0.05). Although the LVEF values calculated by DSCT and 2D-TTE were similar, EDV and ESV from DSCT were statistically higher than those from 2D-TTE (p<0.05). Agreement between DSCT and 2D-TTE in regional wall motion was 96.4%, κ=0.840. Conclusion: DSCT can provide comparable results to those using 2D-TTE for LV function (EF, EDV, and ESV) and regional wall motion assessment in a heterogeneous population.

Functionalized metal–organic frameworks have recently received significant attention in heterogeneouscatalysis applications due to their high catalytic activity. In this work, a sulfate-functionalized Hf-clusterbasedmetal–organic framework was prepared via sulfation of a Hf-MOF, named Hf-BTC, constructed byHf6 clusters and 1,3,5-tricarboxylate linkers. The Hf-BTC-SO4 material was consequently demonstrated tobe an efficiently reusable superacid catalyst for a one-pot three-component reaction of pyrimido[1,2-a]benzimidazoles synthesis. The reaction catalyzed by the sulfated Hf-BTC could be carried out under mildand solvent-free conditions and give superior performance in a wide range of substrates. According todetailed investigation, the good catalytic performance of the sulfated-functionalized MOF likely originatesfrom the high-porosity framework and the high active sites of the functionalized clusters. Importantly, the catalyst could be easy to recover and reuse the functionalized framework several timeswith minor changes in catalytic efficiency.

A combination of freeze-dried powder of disproportionatingenzyme (D-enzyme)-containing potatotuber and b-amylase-containing ramie leaf was used toimprove the gluten-free (GF) bread, and its physicochemicalproperties were characterized. The presence of D-enzymeand b amylase in the potato tuber and ramie leaf wasconfirmed. Sixty five percent of partially gelatinized riceflour and 20% corn starch was combined with 10% freezedriedpotato tuber and 1% ramie leaf powder, and baked. The specific volume increased by 23% compared to thecontrol with improved internal characteristics. Textureprofile analysis revealed that retrogradation of the breadwas retarded when stored for 90 h at 4 C. The breadcrumb amylose content was reduced from 14 to 9% andamylopectin branch chain-length distribution was rearranged, whereby the proportions of the branch chains withDegree of polymerization (DP)\9 and DP[19decreased. The results suggest that D-enzyme and bamylasecooperatively altered amylose/amylopectin ratioand amylopectin structure.

Pd-incorporated Zr-based metal–organic framework containing sulfone groups, named Pd(II)BUT-11, wassuccessfully prepared by dispersing the sulfone-functionalized MOF in Pd(OAc)2 solution. X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, N2 isotherm sorption, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and thermogravimetricanalysis were applied to determine the features of the Pd-incorporated MOF. In the catalyticstudies, Pd(II)@BUT-11 was shown to be an efficient heterogeneous catalyst for synthesizing various stilbenederivatives via the cross-coupling Heck reaction with DABCO-derived deep eutectic solvent (DES) asa green solvent. Notably, the catalyst and the solvent could be recovered and reused, with their activityand structure remaining stable throughout several trials. The method provides an alternative solution tothe conventional catalysts and solvents, resulting in a green and efficient stilbene synthesis process. Furthermore, the stilbenes were separated by extraction with ethyl acetate due to the low solubility ofDES with this solvent.

Phytochemical investigation of Kandelia candel resulted in the isolation of six triterpenes (1 - 5) and two glyceryl glycosides (6 and 7) and their structures were determined by comparing the spectroscopic data with those of reported values. In present study, we described the inhibitory effects of fractions and isolated compounds from K. candel on pro-inflammatory cytokines (IL-12 p40, IL-6, and TNF-a) production in lipopolysaccharide (LPS) stimulated bone marrow-derived dendritic cells (BMDCs). Results indicated that compounds 3, 6, and 7 showed potent inhibition on IL-6 production (IC50 values at less than 0.5 mM, respectively). Meanwhile, compounds 6 and 7 exhibited strong inhibitory effects on the production of TNF-a (IC50 values of 1.7 ? 0.1 and 5.5 ? 0.2 mM). Compounds 1 and 3 were also showed the inhibitory effects on IL-12 p40 production (IC50 values of 8.9 ? 0.4 and 3.3 ? 0.1 mM, respectively).
