Determinants of Intra-Industry Trade between Vietnam and Countries in TPP
NGUYEN, Ha Minh,QUAN, Binh Quoc Minh,LE, Huong Van,TRAN, Thinh Van Korea Distribution Science Association 2020 The Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Busine Vol.7 No.1
Intra-industry trade (IIT) has played an important role in international trade of Vietnam as a result of rapid growth of the country. This article investigates the level of IIT between Vietnam and 11 trading partners in Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) over the period 2000-2014. Although there have been a large number of empirical researches contributed to the determinants of IIT, most of them only pay attention on developed countries where the trade flows are similar due to similar demand structure and production technology. Until now, there is no study on intra-industry trade between Vietnam and countries in TPP that Vietnam recently signed a trade agreement in early 2016. IIT is measured by the Grubel-Lloyd index. The index shows that the extent of intra-industry trade between Vietnam and the trading countries is not high due to the level of economic development and the market size. The determinants of IIT are examined using a panel regression model. In the empirical analysis, the results indicate that Vietnam's intra-industry trade is positively correlated with country size, while it is negatively correlated with income dissimilarity, the trade openness, and geographical distance. This study contributes to the new theoretical trade theory on the evidence of developing country's IIT.

The nanometer complex oxide La0:7Sr0.3Mn0.6Zn0.₄O₃ was prepared by using a Sol-Gel method with citric acid as a ligand. The in uence of Zn doping of La0.7Sr0.₃MnO₃ on the structure, the morphology, the surface properties and on the catalytic activity of material was studied by using X-ray diraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), a high-resolution images and selected area electron diraction (SAED), physical adsorption and temperature programmed surface reaction (TPSR) methods. The results showed that perovskite La0:7Sr0:3Mn0:6. Zn0.₄O₃ could well catalyse propene oxidation in the temperature range 190 { 280 ℃, which was reduced to 100 { 120 ℃ for catalyst La1-χSrχMnO₃ The nanometer complex oxide La0:7Sr0.3Mn0.6Zn0.₄O₃ was prepared by using a Sol-Gel method with citric acid as a ligand. A simple wet chemical method was developed to synthesize visible-light-driven titanate-TiO2 rod-likecomposites using ethylenediaminetetraacetic disodium salt (EDTA-Na2) as both template-directedmodifier and nitrogen doping source. The synthesized heterojunctions exhibited both enhancedadsorption ability and photocatalytic activity for the degradation of methylene blue (MB) dye undervisible light irradiation. EDTA-Na2 was found to alter the condensation pathway of the titaniumprecursor. This study also identified the different loading effects of EDTA-Na2 on the adsorption andphotocatalytic degradation. O2was the dominant radical for MB photodegradation.

Textural characteristics did not affect BTA adsorption, which was desired at high temperature (40 °C), neutral solution (pH = 6) and controlled by endothermic process. Considering the maximum BTA adsorption capacity of 312.5 mg/g, which was much higher than previously reported adsorbents, the plausible mechanism was attributed to hydrophobic, electrostatic and π-π interaction. Effects of pH and temperature are significant on BTA adsorption to F@γ-A/G. Influence of Motives and Tourism on Culture
Xuan Tran,Bao Le,Minh Nguyen,Cuong Tran,Anh Le 한국문화관광학회 2015 문화관광연구 Vol.17 No.2
As the challenge of tourist arrivals affects culture differences, a motive integrated culture model is becoming an effective strategy to study culture tourism. This study examines the Lewis model (2006) integrated with McClelland's theory (1985) and culture tourism to explore the effects of motives and tourism on culture. The three motives in McClelland's theory are achievement, affiliation, and power and the three culture types in Lewis model are linear-active type, multi-active type, and reactive type. In terms of culture, McClelland's theory is applied to explain the rise and fall of a culture and Lewis continues to explore the culture after falling. As a result, the Lewis model comprises of one strong culture; linear-active and the other culture is divided into two parts: one is friendly; multi-active and the other is alien; re-active. This study attempts to use Structure Equation Modeling (SEM) to build a model in which the achievement motive explains the rise culture and the power motive explain the alien culture. Both of the rise culture and the alien culture affect the friendly culture. In addition, the affiliation motive that contributes to the fall culture that is related to tourists who travel for pleasure only.
