        Sustainable Management of East Asia Airport Companies by Evaluating Airport Service Performance

        Purpose The main purpose of this research is to explore the efficiency changes of major airport companies in East Asia. Design/Methodology/Approach Different from the traditional DEA analysis;the Network Data Envelopment Analysis (NDEA) is conducted to evaluate the operational efficiency for sample airport companies in this research. In order to provide more precise guidance for relevant practitioners;this article also constructs the Dynamic Boston Consulting Group (BCG) Matrix model based on the results of NDEA results. Findings Firstly;the result revealed that a huge development of the East Asian aviation economy recently;but the growth rate has slowed down. Secondly;for the overall efficiency;none of these airports has achieved full DEA efficiency scores in the course of the study period. The top three airport companies are Hong Kong;Incheon and Narita. For aeronautical service efficiency;four companies Beijing;Shanghai;Shenzhen;and Incheon have full DEA efficiency scores. For commercial service efficiency only one company;Haneda;has achieved fullDEA efficiency scores. Finally;during the data period;four airport companies have extremely high development potential were discovered. Research Implications Based on the overall analysis and sub-process analysis;this research combined the two variables of NDEA results growth rate and passenger & cargo growth rate to construct a dynamic BCG model;in order to give a more intuitively changed status for practitioners in related fields.

        Determinants of customer satisfaction with parcel locker services in last-mile logistics

        Based on the service quality (SERVQUAL) model and logistics service quality (LSQ) model, this study investigates the antecedents of customer satisfaction with parcel locker services in last-mile logistics. Data were collected from a survey of 321 consumers in China and analyzed using structural equation modeling. The results indicate that timeliness is the strongest predictor that positively impacts customer satisfaction with parcel locker services, while reliability and security are the predictive coefficients for the same, followed by responsiveness and tangibility, respectively. This study enriches the literature on SERVQUAL and LSQ by providing implications for logistics service providers. © 2021 The Authors.         Thermal Stability, Adhesion and Electrical Studies on (Ti,Zr)Nx Thin Films as Low Resistive Diffusion Barriers between Cu and Si

        In this study, we investigated the thermal stability, wettability, adhesion and reliability of (Ti,Zr)Nx films used as the diffusion barrier between Cu and Si. (Ti,Zr)Nx films were prepared by DC reactive magnetron sputtering from a Ti-5 at. % Zr alloy target in N2/Ar gas mixtures. A minimum film resistivity of 59.3 μΩ cm was obtained at an N2/Ar flow ratio of 2.75, which corresponds to the near stoichiometric composition (N/(Ti,Zr) ratio ~0.95). The sheet resistance of Cu/(Ti,Zr)N0.95/Si was not significantly increased until annealing above 750°C, indicating good thermal stability. On the other hand, the adhesion energy between Cu and the (Ti,Zr)Nx film was reduced as the N/Ti ratio was increased. To obtain reliable performance on stress-induced-voiding (SIV) and electromigration (EM) tests, we proposed to use (Ti,Zr)/(Ti,Zr)Nx/(Ti,Zr) tri-layers. We suggest that the interfacial adhesion between barrier and Cu plays an important role in reliability. The proposed tri-layer structure may be a promising candidate for a barrier, as it exhibits excellent reliability without increasing resistance.

        Characteristics of Reactively Sputtered Niobium Nitride Thin Films as Diffusion Barriers for Cu Metallization

        NbN films were prepared by radio frequency reactive magnetron sputtering and then employed as diffusion barriers between Cu and Si. The microstructure of the NbN films was an assembly of very small columnar crystallites with a cubic structure. To investigate the properties as diffusion barriers, we performed metallurgical reactions of Cu/NbN0.8/Si, Cu/Nb/Si and Cu/TaN0.7/Si for comparisons. The sheet resistance increased dramatically after annealing above 750°C for Cu/NbN0.80/Si, and above 500°C for both Cu/Nb/Si and Cu/TaN0.7/Si. The interfaces were deteriorated seriously and formation of Cu3Si was observed when the sheet resistance was significantly increased. The diffusion coefficient of Cu in NbN barrier films was estimated by using the change of resistance (ΔRs/Rs %). Compared with TaN0.7, NbN0.8 films possess larger grain size and lower Cu diffusion coefficient. Our results suggest that the NbN film can be used as a diffusion barrier for Cu metallization as compared to the well-known TaN film.

      • Implementation of Obstacle Avoidance and Target Following based on Machine Learning for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle At Low Altitude

        This research developed an integrated system that consist of orientation sensing, balance control, machine vision recognition and shape sorting and avoidance of obstacle with which the UVA will meet the requirement of a low altitude shuttle in orchards and forest. This research also focused on employing machine learning as the main control core to achieve the performances of target following and obstacle avoidance for unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). In order to keep the balance of a quadcopter, the orientation data from gyroscope and accelerometer will be the inputs of a double loop PID controller. Target is recognized by machine vision. Distances and shapes of obstacles are defined by a laser rangefinder that mounted on the vehicle. The control of UAV depending on the shape of the obstacle, execute different obstacle avoidance strategies. The results of experiment indicated that the complementary filter can compensate the defects of the gyroscope and accelerometer since it fixes steady-state error of gyroscope and oscillation in high frequency of accelerometer. Double-loop PID controller is more stable than single-loop PID controller is. Due to the stability of control board and safety of operators in target following and obstacle avoidance experiment, a three wheels omni robot was employed to conduct the performance evaluation. The final results validate that the novel UAV is equipped with the ability of shuttling among orchards in low-altitude, target following, classification of obstacle shape and obstacle avoidance.

        Survey of genetic structure of geese using novel microsatellite markers

        Objective: The aim of this study was to create a set of microsatellite markers with high polymorphism for the genetic monitoring and genetic structure analysis of local goose populations. Methods: Novel microsatellite markers were isolated from the genomic DNA of white Roman geese using short tandem repeated probes. The DNA segments, including short tandem repeats, were tested for their variability among four populations of geese from the Changhua Animal Propagation Station (CAPS). The selected microsatellite markers could then be used to monitor genetic variability and study the genetic structures of geese from local geese farms. Results: 14 novel microsatellite loci were isolated. In addition to seven known loci, two multiplex sets were constructed for the detection of genetic variations in geese populations. The average of allele number, the effective number of alleles, the observed heterozygosity, the expected heterozygosity, and the polymorphism information content were 11.09, 5.145, 0.499, 0.745, and 0.705, respectively. The results of analysis of molecular variance and principal component analysis indicated a contracting white Roman cluster and a spreading Chinese cluster. In white Roman populations, the CAPS populations were depleted to roughly two clusters when K was set equal to 6 in the Bayesian cluster analysis. The founders of private farm populations had a similar genetic structure. Among the Chinese geese populations, the CAPS populations and private populations represented different clads of the phylogenetic tree and individuals from the private populations had uneven genetic characteristics according to various analyses. Conclusion: Based on this study’s analyses, we suggest that the CAPS should institute a proper breeding strategy for white Roman geese to avoid further clustering. In addition, for preservation and stable quality, the Chinese geese in the CAPS and the aforementioned proper breeding scheme should be introduced to geese breeders.

        Antioxidative and Hepatoprotective Effects of Magnolol on Acetaminophen-induced Liver Damage in Rats

        Acute liver failure (ALF), an often fatal condition characterized by massive hepatocyte necrosis, is frequently caused by drug poisoning, particularly with acetaminophen (N-acetyl-p-aminophenol/APAP). Hepatocyte necrosis is consecutive to glutathione (GSH) depletion and mitochondrial damage caused by reactive oxygen species (ROS) overproduction. Magnolol, one major phenolic constituent of Magnolia officinalis, have been known to exhibit potent antioxidative activity. In this study, the anti-hepatotoxic activity of magnolol on APAP-induced toxicity in the Sprague-Dawley rat liver was examined. After evaluating the changes of several biochemical parameters in serum, the levels of aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) were elevated by APAP (500 mg/kg) intraperitoneal administration (8 and 24 h) and reduced by treatment with magnolol (0.5 h after APAP administration; 0.01, 0.1, and 1 μg/kg). Histological changes around the hepatic central vein, lipid peroxidation (thiobarbituric acid-reactive substance/TBARS), and GSH depletion in liver tissue induced by APAP were also recovered by magnolol treatment. The data show that oxidative stress followed by lipid peroxidation may play a very important role in the pathogenesis of APAP-induced hepatic injury; treatment with lipid-soluble antioxidant, magnolol, exerts anti-hepatotoxic activity. Our study points out the potential interest of magnolol in the treatment of toxic ALF.

        중국 전자상거래 기업의 제3자 물류기업 선택 기준과 평가에 관한 연구

        본 연구에서는 최근 급격히 증가하고 있는 중국 전자상거래에서 제3자 물류기업 선정기준을 AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process)기법을 사용하여 각 평가요인들의 상대적 중요도를 도출하고자 한다. 선정을 위한 요인으로 1단계에는 가격, 물류서비스, 편리성, 기업역량의 4가지 항목을 두었고, 2단계에는 가격경쟁력, 가격세분화, 정보제공, 신속성, 안전성, 접근성, 다양성, 재무안전성, 파트너쉽을 두었다. 3단계는 중국의 주요 물류기업인 Deppon express, S.F. Express, STO express, 우정국택배, CNEX의 5개 물류기업을 물류기업 선정의 대안으로 설정하였다. 이를 평가하기 위하여 중국의 전자상거래기업과 일반제조기업으로 나누어 설문조사를 실시하였다. 분석결과를 제3자 물류기업의 선정요인의 우선순위는 가격, 물류서비스, 편리성, 기업역량 순서로 평가되어 가격과 물류서비스의 중요도가 특히 높은 것으로 나타났다. SF Express가 가장 경쟁력있는 것으로 평가되었는데, 두 그룹간에는 조금의 차이가 발생했다. 전자상거래 기업은 SF Express를 선호한 반면, 일반 제조기업들은 Deppon Express를 선호하였다. Purpose : This paper evaluates the relative importance of selection criteria on 3PL logistics companies from Chinese e-business companies’ viewpoints. Research design, data, methodology : Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) is employed to fulfill the objective of this paper using price, logistics services, convenience and firm competency as the first-level criteria. In addition major 3PL companies in China are evaluated based on the criteria and their importance such as Deppon Express, S.F. Express, STO express, China EMS, CNEX. Data are collected from E-business firms and manufacturers in China for comparison purpose. Results : The results suggest that price is considered the most important and there is no significant difference between E-business firms and manufacturers. SF Express is evaluated the highest, but manufacturers prefers Deppon Express whereas SF express is preferred by E-business firms. Conclusion : This paper shows that price factor has the most important role in logistics company selection in E-business as well as manufacturing industry.
