인삼 saponin이 ATPase 活性에 미치는 影響에 관한 硏究

人蔘 Saponin이 토끼의 骨(??)筋小胞體에 結合된 ATPase 活成에 미치는 影響을 測定하였다. ATPase의 活成은 ginseng saponin의 濃渡가 (0.0078% ~ 0.25%) 증가함에 따라 阻害현상을 보여주었고 0.03%에서 50% 阻害를 일으켰다. 이 50% 阻害度는 Dixon plot에서도 약 0.03%로 나타났으며 plot의 pattern으로 보아 ginseng saponin은 allosteric inhibition을 하는 것으로 판단되었다. 이 阻害機作을 알기 위하여 朴(1981)등이 硏究한 水銀이온이 筋小胞體 ATPase의 活成에 可逆的 非競爭的 阻害劑인 結果를 指示價로 하여 Dixon plot, Lineweaver-Burk plot를 作成한 결과 Saponin은 膜性系 結合 APTase에 대하여서는 非競爭的 阻害濟로 판명되었다. saponin은 膜의 表面張力을 저하시켜 주는 연구(朱,1973)로 미루어 볼때 膜性系酸素에 對한 saponin의 阻害는 또다른 物理的 요인도 있는 것 같다. Saponin의 50% 阻害價 0.03%는 水銀에 의한 活成化 에너지의 阻害를 보호해주지 않는 것으로 보아 saponin이 水銀과의 相互作用보다는 ATPase와의 作用에 대한 것 등이 論議되었다.

A decision support system is introduced for the efficient operation of port container terminals. It consists of ship planning subsystem, yard planning subsystem, resource management subsystem, real-time control subsystem, and simulation subsystem. The system is intended to support the planning process of the planners and the operation process of the administrators in the container terminals. It is assumed that the transfer crances and the yard tractor/trailers are used to handle containers in the marshaling yard. The system is explained in terms of the functions of each subsystem and the data flows among various subsystems.
Dilation 연산을 이용한 기울어진 문서 영상의 보정

In this paper, we propose a simple and efficient algorithm for the correction of linearly skewed document images. This paper is based on the fact that there is a blank line with uniform thickness between two adjacent text lines and the slope of the line is the same as that of the document. Firstly, we apply a dilation operation to the image to separate blank lines from text lines, and we detect center points of blank lines along the vertically sampled lines. Then we calculate the slope between neighboring center points in the same blank line. Calculated slopes for the entire image are accumulated on the histogram to display the distribution of them. Finally, the peak in the histogram is detected and estimated as the slope of the document image. We adopted a lot of images of various format with hand-printed or machine-printed document to verify our algorithm and obtained the accurate results at the error bound of 0.5˚.
L1210 세포증식에 대한 Glycyrrhizin의 억제작용 기전

The purpose of this research was to investigate the mechanism of inhibitory action of Glycyrrhizin(GZ) on the proliferation of mouse leukemia cell-line, L1210 cells. The cytotoxic activity was tested using a colorimetric tertrazolium assay(MTT assay), the apoptosis was tested using flow cytometry. Nitric oxide(NO) production form mouse peritoneal macrophage was tested using a Griess method and the phagocytosis of human polymorphonuclear cells was tested using a lucigenin chemiluminescence. GZ ingibited the proliferation of L1210, BALB/c 3T3 cells and mouse thymocytes at 50 ug/ml/ GZ did not affect nitric oxide production from mouse peritoneal macrophages in vitro, but ingibited nitric oxide production from lipopolysaccharide and y-interferon treated macrophages. Macrophages of GZ-administered mice accelerated NO production. The proliferation of L1210 cells apoptosis of L1210 cells were induced by co-culture with macrophage of GZ-administered mice. The apoptosis of L1210 cells were induced by co-culture with macrophage of GZ-administered mice. GZ increased the phagocytosis of human polymorphonuclear cells. These results suggest that GZ inhibit the proliferation of L1210 cells not only as a direct cytotoxic agent o tumor cells, but also by the enhancement of NO production and phagocytic activity.
CROSS 공법을 이용한 폐수의 생물학적 처리에 관한 연구

This study aims to develop using a continuous removal of organic and settling solid(CROSS) to increase the efficiency of aeration system for wastewater treatment. To solve many problems of the conventional activated-sludge process, authors suggested a new CROSS model in conjunction with aeration systems in 1996. This system is characterized by utilizing an intensive aeration pipe with inlets at the lower portion and outlets at the higher portion in an aeration tank. Through the experiments on CROSS process, the average removal efficiences of BOD, COD_(Mn), SS, T-N and T-P were showed 98.8%, 93.9%, 98.0%, 71.3% and 49.8%. The average DO (Dissolved-Oxygen) concentration was constantly maintained at 8.0 mg/L by the intensive aeration which was accompanied by rapid reduction of BOD. Degradation of the organic matters in sewage then continued for the whole aeration period. The process demonstrated that it was very adaptive without seeding and returning the sludge. Compared to the activated sludge system, the system was very flexible for the continuous flow treatment. This preliminary assessment showed that the porous media in CROSS reactor is viable for the sewage treatment, since the porous media under the intensive aeration achieves acceptable effluent quality.

Korean Hydro and Nuclear Power Company plans to build pressurizer safety valve(PSV) test facility to provide a basis for safety analysis, such as loop seal purge and valve dynamics. This facility consists of the accumulator, test vessel, pressure relief tank, loop seal, heater, safety valves, pump, pipes, and auxiliaries. The facility's design pressure and temperature are 220 ㎏/㎠ and 380℃, respectively. The accumulator provides pressure and heat source to the test vessel. The pressure of test vessel is controlled by the control valves installed between the accumulator and the test vessel. The PSV test facility design is verified by using the thermal-hydraulic analysis code GOTHIC-7.2a. The sizing of control valve to provide the required pressurization rate of the test vessel is determined by this test simulation. And it is found that the pressure vessel design is adequate and the reseating time of PSV is sufficient to model the overall overpressure transient of the nuclear power plants.
Somatostatin 수용체 스캔에 양성인 갑상선 여포선종이 동반된 말단비대증 1예

말단비대증으로 진단된 48세 여자에서 somatostatin 수용체 스캔에 양성인 갑상선종양을 발견하여, 병리소견상 갑상선 여포선종으로 밝혀진 1예를 경험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. Recently, the new technique that allows the in vivo visualization in man of the somatostatin receptor positive tumor after iv adminstration of the 123I-coupled somatostatin analogue Tyr-octreotide (somatostatin receptor scan) was developed. We have experienced a forty eight-year-old female patient with acromegaly and multiple thyroid nodules. Somatostatin receptor scan was performed. Unexpectedly, both pituitary tumor and multiple thyroid nodules were presented with positive by somatostatin receptor scan and we thought that multiple thyroid nodules might be malignancy, probably medullary thyroid carcinoma. Therefore, bilateral subtotal thyroidectomy was performed and pathologic finding showed thyroid follicular adenoma.
