<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Bromodomain-containing protein 4 (Brd4) is known to play a key role in tumorigenesis. It binds acetylated histones to regulate the expression of numerous genes. Because of the importance of brd4 in tumorigenesis, much research has been undertaken to develop brd4 inhibitors with therapeutic potential. As a result, various scaffolds for bromodomain inhibitors have been identified. To discover new scaffolds, we performed mid-throughput screening using two different enzyme assays, alpha-screen and ELISA. We found a novel bromodomain inhibitor with a unique scaffold, aristoyagonine. This natural compound showed inhibitory activity <I>in vitro</I> and tumor growth inhibition in a Ty82-xenograft mouse model. In addition, we tested Brd4 inhibitors in gastric cancer cell lines, and found that aristoyagonine exerted cytotoxicity not only in I-BET-762-sensitive cancer cells, but also in I-BET-762-resistant cancer cells. This is the first paper to describe a natural compound as a Brd4 bromodomain inhibitor.</P>
Influence of Domperidone on the Response of Blood Pressure in Rats

본 연구에서, dopamine 수용체 차단제로써 현재 임상에서 위장운동 항진과 항구토 목적으로 상용되고 있는 dompehdone(DOMP)의 흰쥐 동맥압에 대한 영향을 검색하고 그 본태를 파악코자 실험하여 다음과 같은 연구결과를 얻었다. DOMP는 흰쥐의 일측 대퇴정맥내로 주입하였을때 용량 의존적인 이상성의 혈압반응, 즉 초기 혈압강하작용에 이어 이차적인 혈압상승 작용을 나타내었다. 이러한 DOMP의 혈압강하작용은 prazosin, debirsoquin 및 atropine 등의 전처치로 현저히 감약되었으나, chlorisondamine, propranolol, cyproheptadine 및 metoclopramide 등의 전처치로 별다른 영향을 받지 않았다. DOMP를 150 ug/㎏/ 30min의 속도로 주입한후 norepinephrine의 승압반응은 별로 변화되지 않았으나, dopamine에 의한 강압반응은 크게 억제되었다. DOMP의 이차적인 혈압상승작용은 chlonsondamine 및 metoclopramide 등의 전처치로 현저히 감소되었으나 atropine, prazosin, debrisoquin, propranolol, cyproheptadine 및 clonidine등의 전처치에 의해서는 영향을 받지 않았다. 이상과 같은 실험결과로 보아, DOMP는 흰쥐의 정맥내 투여시 이상성의 혈압반응 즉 혈압강하에 이은 상승작용을 나타내며, 이러한 DOMP의 혈압강하작용은 말초의 adrenergic alpha_(1)-receptor 차단작용과 일부 cholinergic muscarinic receptor의 흥분작용을 통해 나타나는 것으로 생각되며, 혈압상승작용은 자율신경절에서 presynaptic dopaminergic receptor의 억제자용에 기인되는 것으로 사료된다.

As inexhaustible clean energy, solar energy will be the most ideal green energy in the 21st century. The effective method to convert solar energy into electrical energy is by solar photovoltaic power generation technologies. LED Emitting Diode is a kind of component which can transform electricity into visible light. As the smart current control system for photovoltaic street lights, the proposed system has improved the battery charging and discharging mechanism to extend the lifespan and effectively controls the LED discharge current according to battery charge state and lighting.
Feedback Linearization Control of a Cardiovascular Circulatory Simulator

<P>In this brief, a nonlinear model-based feedback linearization (FBL) control is proposed for a high-performance cardiovascular circulatory simulator (CCS). The challenges are that the piston pump used for a mock ventricle in CCS has high-bandwidth pressure dynamics and hard nonlinearity due to check valves. Limited control performance in the previous researches due to these difficulties even raises the question of the physiological feasibility of the developed CCS. To overcome this problem, FBL theory based on the Lie algebra is applied in this research for the piston pump mock ventricle control. Dynamic model of the piston pump was derived, and parameter values of the model were identified experimentally for the controller design. The experimental results confirmed good performance of the proposed controller for various physiological scenarios. Good match with the reference model behavior was verified as well, and physiological feasibility of the CCS was secured thereby thanks to the proposed high-performance controller.</P>

The aim of this research was to improve our understanding of human toxicity due to exposure to DMF, MEK, or TOL individually as compared to exposure to DMF-MEK or DMF-TOL mixtures, by comparing $EC_{50}$ values as well as the morphological changes in HepG2 cells treated with these substances. We found that there was marked cell necrosis in the groups treated with mixtures than in those treated with the compounds alone, and that the amount of cell death and the $EC_{50}$ value were more dependent on MEK and TOL than on DMF. Moreover, analysis of the changes in effective concentration curves revealed that MEK had an antagonistic effect on the human toxicity of DMF, whereas TOL had a synergistic effect. Accordingly, these results suggest that in workplaces involved in the manufacture of synthetic leather, mixtures of DMF and TOL should be avoided as much as possible in order to minimize environmental toxicity and protect the health of the workers.
A Dynamic Queue Management for Network Coding in Mobile Ad-hoc Network

Network Coding (NC) is a new paradigm for network communication. In network coding, intermediate nodes create new packets by algebraically combining ingress packets and send it to its neighbor node by broadcast manner. NC has rapidly emerged as a major research area in information theory due to its wide applicability to communication through real networks. Network coding is expected to improve throughput and channel efficiency in the wireless multi-hop network. Many researches have been carried out to employ network coding to wireless ad-hoc network. In this paper, we proposed a dynamic queue management to improve coding opportunistic to enhance efficiency of NC. In our design, intermediate nodes are buffering incoming packets to encode queue. We expect that the proposed algorithm shall improve encoding rate of network coded packet and also reduce end to end latency. From the simulation, the proposed algorithm achieved better performance in terms of coding gain and packet delivery rate than static queue management scheme.
