        Effects of Atipamezole and Naloxone on Electroencephalographic Spectral Edge Frequency 95 in Dogs Sedated by Acupuncture at GV20 and Yintang Point

        <P>The purpose of this study was to evaluate the antagonism of acupuncture-induced sedation by electroencephalographic spectral edge frequency (SEF) 95 in 10 healthy intact male Miniature Schnauzer dogs (4.2-6.1kg; 2-3 years old) without neurological disorder. The GV20 and Yintang acupoints were administered for 20 min. While the dogs were conscious, SEF 95 baseline values were recorded at 2-min intervals for 4 min. Then acupuncture was administered at the GV20 and Yintang acupoints. During the acupuncture procedure, the SEF 95 values were recorded at 2-min intervals for 10 min. Subsequently, antagonist drugs, naloxone and atipamezole, were administered through the cephalic vein. The SEF 95 values were then measured again at 2-min intervals for 10 min. Those values were found to be significantly increased after administration of atipamezole in dogs sedated by acupuncture at the GV20 and Yintang acupoints (<I>p</I><0.05). However, the SEF 95 values in the naloxone groups did not show any significant changes before and after administration of the antagonist. It was concluded that sedation induced by acupuncture at the GV20 and Yintang acupoints might be partially associated with the α<SUB>2</SUB>-adrenergic system.</P>

      • Comparative evaluation of the algorithms for parametric mapping of the novel myocardial PET imaging agent <sup>18</sup> F-FPTP

        <P><B>Objective</B></P><P>(<SUP>18</SUP>F-fluoropentyl)triphenylphosphonium salt (<SUP>18</SUP>F-FPTP) is a new promising myocardial PET imaging tracer. It shows high accumulation in cardiomyocytes and rapid clearance from liver. We performed compartmental analysis of <SUP>18</SUP>F-FPTP PET images in rat and evaluated two linear analyses: linear least-squares (LLS) and a basis function method (BFM) for generating parametric images. The minimum dynamic scan duration for kinetic analysis was also investigated and computer simulation undertaken.</P><P><B>Methods</B></P><P><SUP>18</SUP>F-FPTP dynamic PET (18 min) and CT images were acquired from rats with myocardial infarction (MI) (<I>n</I> = 12). Regions of interest (ROIs) were on the left ventricle, normal myocardium, and MI region. Two-compartment (<I>K</I><SUB>1</SUB> and <I>k</I><SUB>2</SUB>; 2C2P) and three-compartment (<I>K</I><SUB>1</SUB>–<I>k</I><SUB>3</SUB>; 3C3P) models with irreversible uptake were compared for goodness-of-fit. Partial volume and spillover correction terms (<I>V</I><SUB><I>a</I></SUB> and <I>α</I> = 1 − <I>V</I><SUB><I>a</I></SUB>) were also incorporated. LLS and BFM were applied to ROI- and voxel-based kinetic parameter estimations. Results were compared with the standard ROI-based nonlinear least-squares (NLS) results of the corresponding compartment model. A simulation explored statistical properties of the estimation methods.</P><P><B>Results</B></P><P>The 2C2P model was most suitable for describing <SUP>18</SUP>F-FPTP kinetics. Average <I>K</I><SUB>1</SUB>, <I>k</I><SUB>2</SUB>, and <I>V</I><SUB><I>a</I></SUB> values were, respectively, 6.8 (ml/min/g), 1.1 (min<SUP>−1</SUP>), and 0.44 in normal myocardium and 1.4 (ml/min/g), 1.1 (min<SUP>−1</SUP>), and 0.32, in MI tissue. Ten minutes of data was sufficient for the estimation. LLS and BFM estimations correlated well with NLS values for the ROI level (<I>K</I><SUB>1</SUB>: <I>y</I> = 1.06<I>x</I> + 0.13, <I>r</I><SUP><I>2</I></SUP> = 0.96 and <I>y</I> = 1.13<I>x</I> + 0.08, <I>r</I><SUP><I>2</I></SUP> = 0.97) and voxel level (<I>K</I><SUB>1</SUB>: <I>y</I> = 1.22<I>x</I> − 0.30, <I>r</I><SUP><I>2</I></SUP> = 0.90 and <I>y</I> = 1.26<I>x</I> + 0.00, <I>r</I><SUP><I>2</I></SUP> = 0.92). Regional distribution of kinetic parametric images (<I>αK</I><SUB>1</SUB>, <I>K</I><SUB>1</SUB>, <I>k</I><SUB>2</SUB>, <I>V</I><SUB>a</SUB>) was physiologically relevant. LLS and BFM showed more robust characteristics than NLS in the simulation.</P><P><B>Conclusions</B></P><P>Fast kinetics and highly specific uptake of <SUP>18</SUP>F-FPTP by myocardium enabled quantitative analysis with the 2C2P model using only the initial 10 min of data. LLS and BFM were feasible for estimating voxel-wise parameters. These two methods will be useful for quantitative evaluation of <SUP>18</SUP>F-FPTP distribution in myocardium and in further studies with different conditions, disease models, and species.</P><P><B>Electronic supplementary material</B></P><P>The online version of this article (doi:10.1007/s12149-017-1171-6) contains supplementary material, which is available to authorized users.</P>

      • Preparation and characterization of ACs/TiO2 composite electrodes for improving the specific capacitance of electrochemical double-layer capacitors.

        <P>In this work, the energy storage composite electrodes were prepared by mixing activated carbons (ACs) modified with a nanosize titanium oxide (TiO2) through a means of ultrasonic vibration in ethanol solution for 30 min. We examined the cyclic voltammetry of the composite electrodes in an aqueous electrolyte, 1 M H2SO4. It was found that the specific capacitance of the composite electrodes measured in a range of 0-0.8 V was increased from 100 to 155 F/g compared to carbon electrodes comprised of activated carbon only. This was attributed to a reduction of polarization of the ACs modified by nanosized TiO2.</P>

        K-POP 커버댄스 운동이 청소년 폭력 관련 심리 변인 및 혈중 호르몬 농도에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of K-POP cover dance on violence related psychological factors, blood hormones, and neurotransmitters in adolescents. Participants in this study were 30 males and females taken blood sample and surveyed. All participants were performed K-POP cover dance (50~75%MHR, 80 min/day, 3days/week) during 8 weeks. School stress, assumed stress, interpersonal stress, ego stress were composed the stress factors. Body and verbal aggression, propriety, anger were composed aggression factors. School stress, assumed stress, interpersonal stress, ego stress were decreased significantly on K-POP cover dance. Also, body and verbal aggression, propriety, doubt, anger were decreased significantly on K-POP cover dance. Cortisol, melatonin, beta-endorphin, serotonin, dopamin were composed violence related blood factors. Cortisol were decreased significantly, but melatonin and dopamin were no significantly on K-POP cover dance. It is concluded that K-POP cover dance caused positive effects on violence and stress, stress related blood hormones.

      • LC/MS/MS 분석법을 이용한 Amlodipine의 약물동태연구

        The aim of this study were to confirm the analysis method and also to estimate the pharmacokinetic parameters of amlodipine in human volunteers. In an open-label single-dose pharmacokinetic study, a group, consisting of 24 healthy volunteers, received single oral dose of 5mg amlodipine. Blood sample were taken for up to 120 hours. The concentration of amlodipine in these body fluids was determinated using a validated high-performance liquid chromatography(HPLC) method with tandem mass spectrometry. Amlodipine and ketoconazole, an internal standard, were extracted from plasma using ethyl acetate in the presence of 0.1M sodium carbonate. After drying the organic layer, the residue was reconstituted in mobile phase(acetonitrile : water = 70 : 30 v/v (0.1% formic acid)) and injected onto a Zorvax C18 column (2.1 × 100 mm, 3.5 ㎛ particles). The isocratic mobile phase was eluted at 0.2ml/min. The ion transitions monitored in multiple reaction-monitoring mode were m/z 410.10 → 294.95 and 532.11 → 81.95, respectively. The coefficient of variance of the assay precision was less than 12%, and the accuracy exceeded 99.1%. The limit of quantification was 0.1 ng/ml. The pharmacokinetic parameters were calculated with non-compartmental(AUC, C_(max), T_(max), CL_(t), V/F) and compartmental(K_(el), K_(a), t_(lag)) pharmacokinetic analysis using WinNonlin program. The estimated means of AUC_(0-120hr), C_(max) and T_(max) were 196.90 ± 5.02 ng·hr/ml, 3.36 ± 0.09 ng/ml and 10.44 ± 0.61 hr, respectively. The means of other pharmacokinetic parameters(V/F, CL_(t), K_(el), K_(a) and t_(lag)) were 1208.06 ± 50.61 L, 25.39 ± 0.65 L/hr, 0.2806 ± 0.0294 hr^(-1), 0.0210 ± 0.0008 hr-1 and 0.4574 ± 0.0635 hours, respectively.

        Construction cost estimating is a procedure for surveying the price to complete a project. The results from cost estimating are used as scheduled budgets by public organizations and actual costs by contractors. This study analyzes the existing construction cost estimating system by the comparative study of cost items in Korea and Japan, and then suggests some methods with improvement related to the problems awaiting solutions. The proposed methods include the reorganized cost items for estimating construction cost and the improved procedures for estimating construction cost and the improved procedures for estimating construction equipment cost.

        Generally, a street-inlet in road facility is aimed to exclude rainfall and filth from sewer system. In order to solve some problems in current street inlet facilities, some revised inlet systems have been suggested. Those revised facilities can also solve an environmental problem like a bad smell emitting from the worn facility and solve civil petitions due to its safety and poor quality of passing rainfall. In this study, the existing rainfall exclusion facility was investigated including foreign countries and a developed street inlet model was represented through estimating of their structures, characteristics and costs. It also be analyzed that the existing problems can be solved by a trial construction and the developed model was compared with existing models by focusing on constructability and maintenance capacity.

        The current trend of If (Information Technology) in 21st century demands management innovation, that is Business Process Reengineering (BPR) in all the industry including construction project. The solution of its demand is proposed by IT based on Internet. And also, in order to meet this objective, from 1997 domestic construction industry is accelerating to systematize CALS (Continuous Acquisition and Life-cycle Support) which is being planned to apply by government. These efforts give much weight to build computer systems rather than to improve and redesign construction business process that is more important for system application. This research develops a model for applying the BPR to construction industry, especially construction site that is a base to build a system for CALS. And the research suggests performing method, process and modeling technique of BPR to be applicable in business process redesign of construction field. Also, focusing on the research of execution step of business in construction site will be helpful for the site worker to perform BPR in construction site.

        Recently, our construction industry is using various work sections classification systems for civil engineering projects. However, because the public IDB(Integrated DataBase) for the work sections is insufficiently built, it is difficult to connect construction operation information from construction site to standard specification or standard method of measurment. Therefore, this study suggests a methodology to link the construction work sections information, such as cost, schedule, drawings and specification, with civil engineering standard method of measurement. And the methodology suggested in this study was applied to a web-based work sections information management system with IDB. An IDB modeling was designed by using DFD (Data Flow Diagram) and ERD (Entity Relationship Diagram).

        근관 전색재의 방사선 불투과성에 관한 비교연구

        This study was performed to assess the radiopacity of a variety of root canal sealers according to the Specification concerning root canal sealers. Ten materials including Tubli-Seal™, Kerr Pulp Canal Sealer™, AH 26^(R), AH plus^(R), AH plus jet™, Ad seal™, Sealapex™, NOGENOU™, ZOB seal™, Epiphany™, and dentin were evaluated in this study. In the first part. densitometric reading of an each step of aluminum step wedge on occlusal film was performed at different voltage and exposure time. In the second part, ten specimens were radiographed simultaneously with an aluminum step wedges on the occlusal films under decided condition. The mean radiographic density values of the materials were transformed into radiopacity expressed equivalent thickness of aluminum (mm Al). The following results were obtained 1 Among the various conditions, the appropriate voltage and exposure time that meet the requirement density was 60 kVp at 0.2 s 2 All of the materials had greater radiopacity than 3 mm Al requirement of ANSI/ADA specification No. 57 (2000) and ISO No. 6876 (2001) standards. 3 The radiopacity of materials increased as thickness of materials increased. 4 The mm Al value of each specimen at 1mm in thickness has a significant difference in the statistics. It suggests that root canal sealers have a sufficient radiopacity that meet the requirement. 다양한 근관전색제는 방사선 사진상 주위 해부학적 구조와 구별될 만한 방사선 불투과성을 나타내야 한다 따라서 이런 물질들이 근관에 충전될 때의 방사선 불투과성 정도를 평가해야 할 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 본 실험에서는 다양한 근관전색제들의 방사선 불투과성을 평가하고자, 방사선 노출조건에 따른 aluminium step wedge에 대한 광학 밀도를 알아보고, 그 중 적절한 노출조건을 선택하여 수종의 근관 전색재의 방사선 불투과성 정도를 알루미늄 두께로 환산하여 비교해 보고자 한다. 방사선 불투과성의 기준을 위해 11개의 step으로 구성된 aluminum step wedge을 사용하여, 60kVP, 70kVp관전압 상태에서 각각 0.2, 0.3, 0.4초 그리고 0.2, 0.3, 0.33초의 꼭 노출시간으로 교합필름상에서 방사선 촬영후 적절한 노출 조건을 구하였다. 직경 5mm 각각의 두께 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5, 3.0 mm인 10종 (Tubli-Seal™, Kerr pulp Canal Sealer™, AH26^(R), AHplus^(R), AH plus jet starter kit™, Ad seal™, Sealapex™, Nogenol root canal sealer™, ZOB seal™, Epiphany™)의 근관전색재 시편을 각 재료와 두께당 10개씩 제작한 후, 동일한 두께의 상아질 시편, aluminum step wedge와 함께 정해진 노출시간에 따라 방사선 촬영을 하였다. 모든 필름은 자동현상기로 현상하였다. 시편의 방사선 흑화도를 densitometer로 5회 반복 측정 후, 평균값을 구하여 알루미눔 두께로 환산하였다.얻어진 정보를 분석하여 다음의 결과를 얻었다. 1 관전압 60 kVp에서 노출시간 0.2, 0.3, 0.4초, 70 kVp에서 0.2, 0.3, 0.33초로 변화를 주어 방사선 촬영을 하였을 때 흑화도가 ISO No. 6876 규격에 가장 적합한 것은 60 kVP, 0.2초 일 경우였다. 2 측정된 근관 전색제의 방사선 불투과성은 2.29 mm Al (N0GEN0L)로부터 13.69 mm Al (AH Plus jet)까지 다양하게 나타났으나, 모두 ANSI/ADA specification (2000) 또는 ISO No. 6876 (2001) 규격이 제시한 최소한 3mm Al 이상의 방사선 불투과성을 지녀야 한다는 기준에 적합하였다. 3 재료의 두께가 증가할수록 방사선 불투과성은 증가하지만, 정비례하지는 않았다. 4 각 실험재료의 1 mm 두께의 시편에 대한 mm Al값들은 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었다. 이상의 결과는 본 실험에 사용된 수종의 근관 전색재는 모든 규격에 적합한 방사선 불투과성을 가지고 있음을 시사한다.
