Synthesis of anatase titanium dioxide (TiO 2 ) catalysts with excellent photocatalytic activity is of great importance in photocatalyticapplication. In this work, a cross-like anatase TiO 2 structure is obtained by thermal treatment of precursors synthesizedin an electrochemical cell with mixed phases of (NH 4 ) 2 TiOF 4 and NH 4 TiOF 3 . When calcined at various temperatures, these obtained anatase TiO 2 products could preserve their original morphologies and structures until 750 °C and kept anatasephase from rutile till 900 °C showing better thermal and structural stability, which was probably associated with fl uoridecontents on the surface of anatase TiO 2 products after conversion from (NH 4 ) 2 TiOF 4 and NH 4 TiOF 3 precursors. The photocatalyticactivity of prepared TiO 2 samples over methyl orange is investigated. The photocatalytic activity of mesocrystallineTiO 2 cross decreases with the increase of the calcination temperature of ammonium oxofl uorotitanates except for a bestperformance at 600 °C. The calcination temperature-dependent catalytic performance of the products could be ascribed tothe removal of fl uorine, nitrogen, or hydroxyl radicals on the surface, and the change of crystallinity and crystallite size withvarying heating temperatures. The results indicated that anatase TiO 2 mesocrystals calcined at 600 °C showed the highestphotocatalytic performance more likely owing to well-defi ned morphology, good microstructure, and suitable crystallite size.
A Study on Reviewing Dance Pedagogy in Creative Dance for Non-professional Student
Jieying Zhu 한국무용예술학회 2018 무용예술학연구 Vol.70 No.3
This study illuminates how to teach creative dance for non-professional students. According to the findings from this literature and research, an evolution in teaching methods is needed to create a balance between traditional teaching methods and flexible teaching methods in the dance classroom. An instructor must also be able to utilize these teachings realistically in class. Becoming a supportive teacher by using positive language in a creative class is one of the most important ways that a great number of students can be inspired and motivated. A teacher’s flexibility in utilizing various teaching methods is also an important quality that the learning environment in a creative dance class should begin to include. This study indicates that teaching creative dance for non-professional students must go beyond traditional and unitary teaching methods and instead an instructor should learn to be geared toward utilizing a number of teaching strategies at each appropriate situation for each student.

The present study was aimed to explore the neuroprotective role of imatinib in global ischemia-reperfusion-induced cerebral injury along with possible mechanisms. Global ischemia was induced in mice by bilateral carotid artery occlusion for 20 min, which was followed by reperfusion for 24 h by restoring the blood flow to the brain. The extent of cerebral injury was assessed after 24 h of global ischemia by measuring the locomotor activity (actophotometer test), motor coordination (inclined beam walking test), neurological severity score, learning and memory (object recognition test) and cerebral infarction (triphenyl tetrazolium chloride stain). Ischemia-reperfusion injury produced significant cerebral infarction, impaired the behavioral parameters and decreased the expression of connexin 43 and phosphorylated signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (p-STAT3) in the brain. A single dose administration of imatinib (20 and 40 mg/kg) attenuated ischemia-reperfusioninduced behavioral deficits and the extent of cerebral infarction along with the restoration of connexin 43 and p-STAT3 levels. However, administration of AG490, a selective Janus-activated kinase 2 (JAK2)/STAT3 inhibitor, abolished the neuroprotective actions of imatinib and decreased the expression of connexin 43 and p-STAT3. It is concluded that imatinib has the potential of attenuating global ischemia-reperfusion- induced cerebral injury, which may be possibly attributed to activation of JAK2/ STAT3 signaling pathway along with the increase in the expression of connexin 43.
Removal of COD from coking-plant wastewater in the moving-bed biofilm sequencing batch reactor
JieYing Jing,Jie Feng,Ying Xu,WenYing Li 한국화학공학회 2009 Korean Journal of Chemical Engineering Vol.26 No.2
The objective of this paper is to investigate COD removal efficiency of the coking-plant wastewater by applying the moving-bed biofilm sequencing batch reactor (MBBSBR). The operation is simple and 30% WD-F10-4 BioMTM were packed as carrier materials. It was found that the coking-plant wastewater could be effectively treated with 92.9% of COD removal efficiency at a low organic loading rate (OLR) of 0.449 kgCOD·m−3·d−1. The removal efficiency decreased gradually down to 70.9% when OLR increased to 2.628 kgCOD·m−3·d−1. The system has strong tolerance to organic shock loading in this experiment. The COD removal results in the blank experiments of biofilm and sludge showed that the attached biofilm has higher activity than suspended sludge and contributes about 60% to the COD removal.

The overexpression of trefoil factor family 3 (TFF3) is observed in a variety of cancers, including prostate cancer (PCa), and its potential role in carcinogenesis, such as activating the PI3K/AKT pathway, is suggested. However, its role and its related mechanisms in prostate tumorigenesis remain unknown. To elucidate the role of TFF3 overexpression in PCa, we silenced TFF3 in two PCa cell lines that overexpressed TFF3 and explored the molecular mechanism behind its antiapoptotic role. We also examined TFF3 expression in 108 Korean PCa specimens and 106 normal prostate tissues by immunohistochemistry (IHC) analysis. The mean TFF3 IHC score in the tumor tissues was significantly higher than that in the normal tissues (4.702 vs. 0.311, P = 2.52 × 10-24). TFF3-silenced cells showed suppressed tumor cell growth and migration. TFF3 silencing decreased BCL2 and increased BAX expression. The translocation of BAX to the mitochondria was also confirmed. After TFF3 silencing, the expression of the mitochondrial proapoptotic proteins, cytochrome C and Smac/DIABLO, was elevated, and these proteins were released from the mitochondria to the cytosol. Downstream mediators of mitochondrial apoptosis, including cleaved caspase-3, caspase-9, and PARP, were also elevated. Accordingly, the proportion of apoptotic cells was significantly higher among TFF3-silenced cells. There was no difference in extrinsic apoptosis-related molecules after TFF3 silencing. All the results support that TFF3 silencing induces the downstream signaling pathway of mitochondria-mediated apoptosis. This study provides a better understanding of the mechanism of prostate tumorigenesis, suggesting TFF3 as a potential biomarker and therapeutic target of PCa.
Application of KNN Algorithm Based on Particle Swarm Optimization in Fire Image Segmentation
Yuanbin Wang,Jieying Ren 대한전기학회 2019 Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology Vol.14 No.4
In the fi eld of fi re image segmentation, most methods are based on color threshold segmentation, so diff erent thresholds should be set according to diff erent environments. In this process, there are too many manual operations. In order to achieve the automatic segmentation of fi re images, a modifi ed KNN segmentation algorithm based on particle swarm optimization is proposed. Firstly, a large number of sample data is cropped, redundant samples are removed, and then an improved KNN is employed to classify image pixels. In this paper, K-Median algorithm is used to cluster samples and reduce the computation of similarity degree in KNN. In this process, Particles Swarm Optimization are adopted to avoid the infl uence of the initial value of K-Median algorithm on the results. Combined with Euclidean distance and correlation distance, a new similarity function is defi ned to improve the classifi cation accuracy of KNN algorithm. Experiment results show the proposed algorithm has been improved both in classifi cation accuracy and speed.
An Efficient Parallel Top-k Similarity Join for Massive Multidimensional Data Using Spark
Dehua Chen,Changgan Shen,Jieying Feng,Jiajin Le 보안공학연구지원센터 2015 International Journal of Database Theory and Appli Vol.8 No.3
Top-k similarity join has been used in a wide range of applications that require calculating the most top-k similar pairs of data records in a given database. However, the time performance will be a challenging problem, as an increasing trend of applications that need to process massive data. Obviously, finding the top-k pairs in such vast amounts of data with traditional methods is awkward. In this paper, we propose the RDD-based algorithm to perform the top-k similarity join for massive multidimensional data over a large cluster built with commodity machines using Spark. The RDD- based algorithm consists of four steps, which loads a set of multidimensional records stored in HDFS and finally output an ordered list of top-k closest pairs into HDFS. Firstly, we develop an efficient distance function based on LSH(Locality Sensitive Hashing) to improve the efficiency in pairwise similarity comparison. Secondly, to minimize the amount of data during the RDD running- time, we split conceptually all pairs of LSH signatures into partitions. Moreover, we exploit a serial computation strategy to calculate all top-k closest pairs in parallel. Finally, all the local top-k pairs sorted by their Hamming distances will contribute to the global top-k pairs. In this paper, the performance evaluation between Spark and Hadoop confirms the effectiveness and scalability of our RDD-based algorithm.
