        Muscle fatigue is a symptom that decreases your muscles’ ability to perform over time. It can be associated with a state of exhaustion, often following excessive sports activity or exercise. While exercise is a common cause of muscle fatigue, this symptom can be the result of other health conditions. Muscle fatigue caused by excessive activity limits activities of daily living and difficult to maintain a stable posture. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of stretching, icing, and sports massage on muscle fatigue recovery.

      • 肺炎 誘發菌의 生育을 抑制하는 韓藥材 探索에 關한 硏究

        韓藥材 중 肺炎의 치료효과가 기대되는 淸熱化痰, 止咳平喘藥을 중심으로 23種의 藥材를 사용하여 肺炎을 유발하는 K. pneumoniae, S. pyogenes 및 S. pneumoniae 세균의 생육을 억제하는 藥材를 탐색하고, 탐색된 藥材의 추출물에 대한 세균의 最小生育抑制濃度를 측정하였다. 韓藥材의 水溶性 추출물 중 黃連, 胡黃蓮, 敗醬, 黃芩이 K. pneumoniae에서, 黃連이 S. pyogenes에 대해서 생육억제 효과가 있었으며, S. pneumoniae에 대한 比較沮止環의 直徑은 黃連, 鳥梅, 五味子, 黃芩이 우수하였으나 黃連 추출물 사용시 병원균 모두에서 生育沮止環의 크기가 가장 크게 나타났으며 對照群로 사용된 大腸菌과 枯草菌에서도 어느 정도의 抗細菌 효과를 볼 수 있었다. 에탄올 추출물에서는 敗醬, 黃芩, 五味子, 鳥梅가 K. pneumoniae 세균의 생육을 억제하였으며, S. pyogenes 세균은 黃連, 五味子, 鳥梅, 馬兜鈴찾, 黃芩에 의하여 생육이 억제되어 黃連은 水溶性 및 에탄올 溶解性 주출물에서 모두 우수한 抗細菌 효과를 보여주고 있다. 각 세균에 대한 最小生育沮止濃度(MIC)는 K. pneumoniae 세균일 경우 黃連 및 黃芩의 水溶性 추출물과 鳥梅 및 敗醬의 에탄올 溶解性 추출물이 유의성을 보였으며, S. pyogenes 세균은 黃連의 水溶性 및 에탄올 溶解性 추출물과 鳥梅의 에탄올 溶解性 추출물, S. pneumoniae 세균은 黃連과 鳥梅의 水溶性 및 에탄올 溶解性 주출물에서 유의성이 나타났다. 이상의 결과를 통하여 黃連, 五味子, 鳥梅, 黃芩, 胡黃蓮, 敗醬의 水溶性 및 에탄올 溶解性 추출물이 肺炎 誘發菌f K. pneumoniae, S. pyogenes, S. pneumoniae에 對하여 우수한 生育抑制 作用을 나타냄을 알 수 있었다. The various oriental herbal medicines, which have usually been used for treatment of reducing fever, purging intense heat and detoxication, were screened to determine the antibacterial activity and the minimal inhibitory concentration against pulmonary disease-causing Klebsiella pneumoniae, Streptococcus pyogenes, and Streptococcus pneumoniae. The results obtained were as follows: 1. Among the 23 oriental medicines tested, the water-soluble extracts of Coptis japonica, Scutellaria baicalensis and Picrorrhiza kurroca showed the antibacterial activity against K. pneumoniae and that of C. japonica against S. pyogenes. The antibacterial activities of C. japonica, Prunus mume, Schizandra chinesis, Scutellaria baicalensis were also found against S. pyogenes. When C. japonica was used, the high antibacterial activity was shown against Bacillus subtilis and other extracts showed a little activity against B. subtilis and E. coli as a control. 2. The ethanol-soluble extracts of Patrinia scabriosaefolia, P. mume, S. baicalensis, S. chinensis showed the antibacterial activity against K. pneumoniae and those of S. baicalensis, C. japonica, S. chinensis P. mume against S. pyogenes and S. pneumoniae. However, those extract showed a little antibacterial activity against B. subttilis and E. coli except for that the extract of C. japonica showed comparatively high growth inhibition of B. subtilis. 3. Among the medicinal herbs tested, the water- and ethanol extracts of C. japonica showed very extcellent antibacterial activity against the pathogenic bacteria and controls. 4. When the water-soluble extracts of C. japonica and S. baicalensis, minimal inhibitory concentrations (MICs) against K. pneumoniae were 10 ㎎/㎖ and 22 ㎎/㎖, respectively. The MICs of the ethanol-soluble extracts of P. mume and P. scabriosaefolia were 5 ㎎/㎖ and 20 ㎎/㎖, respectively. 5. For the MICs against S. pyogenes, C. japonica showed 15 ㎎/㎖ with the water-soluble extract and P. mume and C. japonica with the ethanol-souble extract did 5 ㎎/㎖ and 10 ㎎/㎖, respecitively. 6. For the MICs against S. pneumoniae, C. japonica and P. mume with the water- and ethanol-souble extract showed 5 ㎎/㎖ and 10 ㎎/㎖, respecitively. As a result, the highest antibacterial activity was found in the water- and ethanol-soluble extracts of C. Japonica against pulmonary disease-causing bacteria, K. pneumoniae, S. pyogenes, and S. pneumoniae. Also, the water- and ethanol-soluble extracts of S, chinensis, P. mume, S. baicalensis and P. kurrooa showed high antibacterial activities.

        Microwave-assisted Weak Acid Hydrolysis of Proteins

        Myoglobin was hydrolyzed by microwave-assisted weak acid hydrolysis with 2% formic acid at $37^{\circ}C$, $50^{\circ}C$, and $100^{\circ}C$ for 1 h. The most effective hydrolysis was observed at $100^{\circ}C$. Hydrolysis products were investigated using matrixassisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry. Most cleavages predominantly occurred at the C-termini of aspartyl residues. For comparison, weak acid hydrolysis was also performed in boiling water for 20, 40, 60, and 120 min. A 60- min weak acid hydrolysis in boiling water yielded similar results as a 60-min microwave-assisted weak acid hydrolysis at $100^{\circ}C$. These results strongly suggest that microwave irradiation has no notable enhancement effect on acid hydrolysis of proteins and that temperature is the major factor that determines the effectiveness of weak acid hydrolysis.

      • Enhanced Production of γ-Aminobutyric Acid (GABA) by Batch Fermentation of Lactobacillus brevis FBL-3

        γ-Aminobutyric acid (GABA) exists in the brain and spine, increasing acetylcholine, one of the neurotransmitters in the body, and activating blood flow in the brain, leading to an improvement in brain metabolism. The ability of lactic acid bacteria to produce GABA can be judged according to the efficiency of conversion to GABA by Glutamate decarboxylase (GAD) after culturing with the addition of L-glutamate, a substrate, to the medium. In this study, Lactobacillus brevis FBL-3 was used for GABA production. In order to find out the effect of pH, temperature, and substrate addition on GABA production, the seed culture was inoculated into 2.5 L fermentor containing 1 L of medium. GABA was 32.51 g/L when the culture pH was not controlled during fermentation. The optimal conditions for GABA production were found to be pH 5.0 and 37°C, which resulted in 42.52 g/L of GABA. The production of GABA was significantly improved up to 72.121 g/L by adding substrate (10 g/L of glucose and 30 g/L of monosodium glutamate) under the optimized fermentation conditions. The volumetric productivity of GABA was 1.503 g/L/h.

        판상형, 타워형 아파트에서 일조권 및 조망권의 정량적 비교분석 연구

        This study investigates quantitative value analysis of the right to light and right to a view, comparing flat-type apartments and tower-type apartments. Since tower-type apartments have notable advantages such as sunlight and right to a view which are important factors in living places, tower-type apartments, in general, are more preferred than flat-type apartments. Thus, it is necessary that providing quantitative results on sunshine and view for both tower- and flat-type apartments. For quantitative value analysis of the right to light and right to a view, a survey is conducted on 131 residents and 26 estate agents. Then, flat-type apartments are rearranged to tower-type and their right to light and right to a view are simulated. The main results are obtained as follows; the ratio of right to light in total housing prices is 30.1% and its right to a view gives 31.7%. In addition, more than 22.3% of tower-type apartments households satisfies to sunshine hour limit; however the invasion of prospect is 17.4% lower than flat-type apartments. We can conclude that right to light and right to a view are considered as essential factors in housing price and tower-type apartments are more advantageous in securing right to light and right to a view.

        시뮬레이션학습에서 역할교대 경험이 간호대학생의 학습몰입, 셀프리더십 및 디브리핑 만족도에 미치는 효과

        본 연구는 역할교대 경험이 간호대학생의 학습몰입, 셀프리더십과 디브리핑 만족도에 미치는 효과를 파악하여 효과적인 시뮬레이션 교수학습방법 개발을 위한 기초자료를 제공하고자 시도되었다. 연구대상은 Y대학 간호학과 3학년 학생 205명이었으며, 시뮬레이션 운영을 위해 수분전해질 불균형 환자에 대한 시나리오를 연구자가 개발하여 적용하였다. 자료 분석은 SPSS 21.0 program을 이용하였으며 동질성과 차이를 확인하기 위하여 chi-test와 t-test를 실시하였다. 동질성 검증 결과 실험군과 대조군은 모든 변수에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 없었다. 연구결과, 시뮬레이션 실습 시에 역할교대 경험에 따른 학습몰입과 셀프리더십은 유의한 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 디브리핑 만족도는 다양한 역할을 경험한 실험군이 유의하게 높은 것으로 나타나 다양한 역할경험이 시뮬레이션 만족도를 향상시킴을 알 수 있었다. 결론적으로 시뮬레이션 상황에서 간호 대학생들이 다양한 역할경험을 하는 것은 시뮬레이션을 진행하면서 만족도를 향상시킬 수 있는 방안이 될 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. 그러나 교수학습방법 선택의 목적인 대상자의 학습몰입과 간호사의 핵심역량인 리더십 향상에는 크게 기여하지 못했으므로, 새로운 교수학습방법을 적용하여 그 효과를 파악할 필요가 있다. Thisstudy examined the effects of role rotation experience on learning flow, self leadership and debriefing satisfaction in nursing students. A non-equivalence control group quasi-experimental study was used and included as participants 203 junior nursing students at Y University. The experimental group (n=103) participated in the teaching class using a role rotation experience, while the control group (n=100) received conventional practice education. The outcome measurements were learning flow, self leadership, and debriefing satisfaction. The collected data were analyzed using a chi-test, and at-test using the SPSS WIN 21.0 program. The total score of learning flow and self leadership were similar in the two groups. On the other hand, in the case of the debriefing satisfaction (t=-2.70, p=.008),the experimental group (4.24±0.51) was remarkably higher than the control group (4.03±0.60). Although the changes regarding the learning flow and self leadership could not be identified, the debriefing satisfaction had been affected by the practice education using the role rotation experience. Therefore, to identify the effects of simulation education for further details, more research with diversified subjects and varied durationsis needed.

      • 개문영업에 따른 에너지 손실 저감을 위한 에어커튼의 최적 토출 각도 선정에 관한 연구

        The door open while air conditioner running on commercial stores have a problem in terms of energy consumption. To solve the problem, many facilities for entrance with vestibule, revolving door, air curtain, and door closer are utilized to reduce the energy loss. Among the facilities, the air curtain cuts off the indoor and outdoor air by discharging the wide air surrounding the front of the opening, thereby preventing the heat loss from the indoor. The purpose of this study is to propose the optimal angle of air curtain and to evaluate its energy effectiveness. To achieve this goal, the infiltration rate across the opening were investigated with air temperature differences between areas by transient CFD simulation. As a result, it was advantageous to set angles indoors in winter and outdoors in summer. In addition, As the indoor and outdoor temperature difference increased, it was appropriate to set the angle close to the opening. energy consumption was reduced by about 80% when air was discharged at the most appropriate angle.
