The steel house, one of new construction methods, has been mainly adapted to a lot of housing and developed in construction skill. But the disadvantage of steel house system is that the system is limited to small housing because it is composed of light gauge steel. Therefore, in order to solve it, this study presents the new system which is made of a carbon steel square for general structural purpose. The framed wall system which is presented in this study is composed of the steel stud members by using the carbon steel square and is reinforced by the horizontal members called runner. So, this system has more sufficient strength and axial load capacity than the steel house wall system. Besides, this system gives us the improved effects of the adiabatic and sound insulation by filling up the autoclaved lightweight concrete. Accordingly, this study evaluates on the axial capacity of unit wall of the system through the experimental study according to the experimental variable and analysis on the structural performance of the framed wall system using carbon steel square.
CURRENT STATUS OF NUCLEAR FUSION ENERGY RESEARCH IN KOREA

The history of nuclear fusion research in Korea is rather short compared to that of advanced countries. However, since the mid- 1990s, at which time the construction of KSTAR was about to commence, fusion research in Korea has been actively carried out in a wide range of areas, from basic plasma physics to fusion reactor design. The flourishing of fusion research partly owes to the fact that industrial technologies in Korea including those related to the nuclear field have been fully matured, with their quality being highly ranked in the world. Successive pivotal programs such as KSTAR and ITER have provided diverse opportunities to address new scientific and technological problems in fusion as well as to draw young researchers into related fields. The frame of the Korean nuclear fusion program is now changing from a small laboratory scale to a large national agenda. Coordinated strategies from different views and a holistic approach are necessary in order to achieve optimal efficiency and effectiveness. Upon this background, the present paper reflects upon the road taken to arrive at this point and looks ahead at the coming future in nuclear fusion research activities in Korea.

현재 통신망상에서 운영되고 있는 네트워크 장애처리시스템의 가장 큰 문제점은 통신망상에서 발생한 장애를 보고하는 기능을 지니고 있지만, 이에 대한 효율적 처리의 방안이 부족하다는 것이다. 또한 발생한 장애에 대한 데이터베이스 유지와 이를 활용하여 지식 정보화를 구축하는 측면과 통신망 사용자의 문의 및 불만 상담을 처리하고, 사용자에게 장애 처리에 대한 정보를 제공하는 기능은 거의 제공되고 있지 못하다. 이러한 통신망상에서 발생하는 장애를 효과적으로 해결하기 위해서는 장애를 처리하는 네트워크 장애처리시스템(Network Trouble Management System)이 필수적으로 요구되며, 이에 대한 운영 방식을 효율적으로 개선함으로써 통신망 장애로 인한 시간적, 경제적 손실을 최소화하고, 사용자와 관리자 모두에게 효과적인 시스템에 대한 구축의 필요성이 증대하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 전문가 기반의 장애처리시스템에 자동 응답 시스템을 접목시켜 각 분야의 전분가들을 영입하고 관리할 수 있으며, 기존의 장애 처리 데이터베이스를 활용하여 사용자에게 장애처리에 대한 방안을 제시할 수 있는 전문가 기반의 확장 장애처리시스템을 구현함으로써 사용자에게 신뢰성 있는 고부가가치의 서비스를 제공할 수 있게 하였다.

<P>Ring-type 33-mode piezoelectric energy harvesters (PEHs) were fabricated using Pb(Zr,Ti)O<SUB>3</SUB>- and (Na,K)NbO<SUB>3</SUB>-based piezoelectric ceramics. The relationship between the output performance of the PEH and the piezoelectric properties of the ceramics was investigated. Ring-type PEHs were selected for this investigation because they can be mounted on a specimen holder at the same position, ensuring structurally reliable output performance. The <img ALIGN='MIDDLE' ALT='${{{k}_{{eff}^{}}}^{2}}^{}$' SRC='http://ej.iop.org/images/0964-1726/27/11/115027/smsaae6a6ieqn1.gif'/>?×?<I>Q</I> <SUB> <I>m</I> </SUB>/<img ALIGN='MIDDLE' ALT='${{s}^{E}}_{33}$' SRC='http://ej.iop.org/images/0964-1726/27/11/115027/smsaae6a6ieqn2.gif'/> value, which was reported as a figure of merit (FOM) of the PEH under resonance condition, could not adequately explain the output performances of the 33-mode PEH with a specimen holder much larger than the size of the specimen. The <I>d</I> <SUB>33</SUB>?×?<I>g</I> <SUB>33</SUB> value, which is a FOM derived from the theoretical output power of the 33-mode PEH, can explain the variation of the output power of the 33-mode PEH with a large specimen holder. However, since the variation of the output power was more accurately explained by the <I>d</I> <SUB>33</SUB>?×?<I>g</I> <SUB>33</SUB>?×?<img ALIGN='MIDDLE' ALT='${{k}_{eff}}^{2}$' SRC='http://ej.iop.org/images/0964-1726/27/11/115027/smsaae6a6ieqn3.gif'/> value, this was suggested as a new FOM of the output power of the ring-type 33-mode PEH with a large specimen holder.</P>

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>CuO-added (1-y)(Na<SUB>0.5</SUB>K<SUB>0.5</SUB>)(Nb<SUB>1-x</SUB>Sb<SUB>x</SUB>)-yCaTiO<SUB>3</SUB> ceramics with 0.0 ≤ x ≤ 0.1 and 0.04 ≤ y ≤ 0.055 were sintered at 970 °C. Various cubic-based polymorphic-phase-boundary (PPB) structures were formed: orthorhombic-tetragonal-cubic, and tetragonal-cubic PPB structures. The crystal structure of the specimens near Curie temperature is a mixture of <I>Pm3m</I> cubic and <I>P4mm</I> tetragonal structures and these ceramics showed ferroelectric properties. A schematic phase diagram of these ceramics has been suggested. The piezoelectric properties of these specimens were influenced by their crystal structure. All the specimens are expected to have good fatigue properties. In particular, the specimen with a tetragonal-cubic PPB structure (x = 0.04 and y = 0.045) has a large <I>d<SUB>33</SUB> </I> of 338 pC/N and a high strain of 0.17% at 4.5 kV/mm. This specimen has good temperature stability; a <I>d<SUB>33</SUB> </I> value of 300 pC/N and strain of approximately 0.12% were obtained at 175 °C, indicating that this specimen is a good candidate for use as a piezoelectric multilayer actuator.</P>

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>The piezoelectric properties of (1-x-y)PbZrO<SUB>3</SUB>-xPbTiO<SUB>3</SUB>-yPb(Ni<SUB>1/3</SUB>Nb<SUB>2/3</SUB>)O<SUB>3</SUB> ceramics were investigated. Specimens with a large Pb(Ni<SUB>1/3</SUB>Nb<SUB>2/3</SUB>)O<SUB>3</SUB> content, which have compositions close to the triple point, show small <I>g<SUB>33</SUB> </I> and <I>d<SUB>33</SUB> </I> ×<I> g<SUB>33</SUB> </I> values because of their large <I>ε<SUP>T</SUP> <SUB>33</SUB>/ε<SUB>0</SUB> </I>. These values increased with a decrease in y (amount of Pb(Ni<SUB>1/3</SUB>Nb<SUB>2/3</SUB>)O<SUB>3</SUB>) and the specimen with x=0.39 and y=0.29 showed the largest <I>g<SUB>33</SUB> </I> of 43×10<SUP>−3</SUP> V<B>·</B>m/N and <I>d<SUB>33</SUB> </I> ×<I> g<SUB>33</SUB> </I> of 25.2×10<SUP>−12</SUP> m<SUP>2</SUP>/N. Cantilever-type energy harvesters were fabricated using specimens with 0.38≤x≤0.41 and y=0.29. The output power densities of the energy harvesters were related to the <I>d<SUB>31</SUB> </I> ×<I> g<SUB>31</SUB> </I> ×<I> k<SUB>31</SUB> </I> <SUP>2</SUP> value of the piezoelectric ceramics. The energy harvester fabricated using a specimen with x=0.39 and y=0.29, which has a maximum <I>d<SUB>31</SUB> </I> ×<I> g<SUB>31</SUB> </I> ×<I> k<SUB>31</SUB> </I> <SUP>2</SUP> value, showed the maximum output power density of 1.01mW/cm<SUP>3</SUP>.</P>

Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is an essential nutrient of most living tissues. We established a strain of Gulo-/- mice with known deficiency, in which vitamin C intake can be controlled by diet, like humans, and investigated the differentially expressed proteins following treatments with Helicobacter pylori and diethylnitrosamine (DENA) in the liver of Gulo-/- mice using a proteomic approach. Expression of p53, 14-3-3ε and 14-3-3δ in Gulo-/- mice liver tissue was analyzed by immunohistochemistry. 2-DE maps constructed from Gulo-/- mice liver and differentially expressed proteins in liver tissue were identified by matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight (MALDI-TOF/MS). In Gulo-/- mice after H. Pylori infection, followed by treatment with DENA, no differences in p53, 14-3-3ε and 14-3-3δ were observed by immunohistochemistry. Proteome analyses using MALDI-TOF/MS resulted in successful identification of 12 proteins (nine proteins were up-regulated and three were down-regulated). Specifically, peroxiredoxin-6 and Alpha-1-antitrypsin 1-4 were up-regulated in liver after H. Pylori infection followed by treatment with DENA. These results indicated that oral supplementation with vitamin C led to rescue of Gulo-/- mice from vitamin deficiency, and protected the liver from H.pylori infection and/or DENA effect, and vitamin C also protected the liver against oxidative stress

The purpose of this study is to investigate prevents hypertension effect of ethanol extract of Sigesbeckia pubescens. In this study, to determine prevents hypertension effect of ethanol extract S. pubescens on suppression of calcium mobilization force in vascular smooth muscle cell line. Ethanol extract of S. pubescens,showed a moderate suppression of calcium mobilization force effect vascular smooth muscle cell line. Therefore, treatment with ethanol extract of S. pubescens may accelerate blood flow through dilatation of the blood vessel. This result suggest a potential role of ethanol extract of S. pubescens as source of prevents hypertension agent.
Antifungal Activity of Peracetic Acid Against Botrytis cinerea

Gray mold (Botrytis cinerea) is necrophytic fungal pathogen causing postharvest decay that significantly reduces the yield and quality of many horticultural crops such as tomato, grape and strawberry. Although the control of gray mold disease relies entirely on the use of chemical fungicides, there are several public concerns such as fungicide residues on fruit surface, induction of fungicides resistance in fungal pathogen and environmental pollution. Therefore, in this study, we have investigated antifungal activity of peracetic acid (PAA) on B. cinerea through various susceptibility assays. Fungi isolated from infected strawberry skin lesions were identified through the PCR amplification using several RAPD-SCAR markers specific to B. cinerea. To assess the antifungal activity of PAA against B. cinerea, disc diffusion, mycelial growth test and microdilution assay were performed. Based on the results obtained, it was shown that PAA completely inhibited fungal growth and metabolic activity at a concentration above 0.1%.
