Ceramic core processing technology using 5-axis high-speed cutting machine is applied to make the glass molds for aspherical ophthalmic lenses. In the technology, optimum processing conditions for aspherical ceramic molds are based on minimal experimental data of surface roughness. Such surface roughness is influenced by fabricating tools, cutting speed, feed rate, and depth of cut, respectively. In this paper, we present that surface roughness and shape accuracy of aspheric ceramic mold obtained by optimum processing conditions are Pa 0.6184㎛ and Pt 5.0301㎛ , respectively, and propose that these values are sufficiently possible to apply to making the glass molds for aspherical ophthalmic lenses.

Spermatogonial stem cells (SSCs) are the basis of spermatogenesis in male. Among the testicular germ cells, SSCs are considered as an important population because of their capability to multiply in numbers which is also known as self-renewal, and to differentiate into spermatocytes by subsequent meiotic processes finalized with the production of spermatozoa. As SSCs are present in a very small proportion among the total testis cells, in vitro proliferation of SSCs in undifferentiated state is very important in the field of experiments related to germ cell culture. The objective of the study was to establish an effective feeder cell for murine germ cell development in vitro. We used three types of feeder cells to grow murine germ cells, such as STO, tissue specific feeder layer, and C166 feeder cells and green fluorescence protein (GFP) rat SSCs were used to grow on them. A continuous culture was performed for each feeder groups, but C166 feeder cells found unable to proliferate germ cells even after several weeks. We observed a comparatively better proliferation rate of rat germ cells grown on tissue specific feeder layer where cultured germ cell colony and cell count were higher than STO feeder. Immunocytochemistry of undifferentiated SSC marker showed significantly higher expression for germ cell cultured on tissue specific feeder layer. Similarly, mRNA level of undifferentiated spermatogonia were found higher in case of tissue specific feeder layer and STO, although the expression level of differentiated spermatogonia was similar. Finally, the functional characteristics of SSCs were studied by cultured germ cell transplantation into recipient mice. We used donor rat germ cells cultured on both feeder groups for 4 months, where SSCs from tissue specific feeder layer showed higher functional and stemness activity. Transplantation of SSCs cultured for 8 months from tissue specific feeder layer group were performed to recipient rat and we could produce GFP offspring from those recipients. Thus the experiment conclude that tissue specific cells could be an effective feeder layer for murine SSCs culture based on their survivability and proliferation along with retaining the perfect functional characteristics and stemness properties.

<P><B>Summary</B></P><P>Archaea have inhabited the earth for a long period of time and are ubiquitously distributed in diverse environments. However, few studies have focused on the interactions of archaea with other organisms, including eukaryotes such as plants, since it is difficult to cultivate sufficient numbers of archaeal cells for analysis. In this study, we investigated the interaction between soil archaea and <I>Arabidopsis thaliana</I>. We demonstrate for the first time that soil archaea promote plant growth and trigger induced systemic resistance (ISR) against the necrotrophic bacterium <I>Pectobacterium carotovorum</I> subsp. <I>carotovorum</I> SCC1 and biotrophic bacterium <I>Pseudomonas syringae</I> pv. <I>tomato</I> DC3000. Ammonia‐oxidizing archaeon <I>Nitrosocosmicus oleophilus</I> MY3 cells clearly colonized the root surface of <I>Arabidopsis</I> plants, and increased resistance against both pathogenic species via the salicylic acid‐independent signalling pathway. This mechanism of bacterial resistance resembles that underlying soil bacteria‐ and fungi‐mediated ISR signalling. Additionally, volatile emissions from <I>N. oleophilus</I> MY3 were identified as major archaeal determinants that elicit ISR. Our results lay a foundation for archaea–plant interactions as a new field of research.</P>

고품질 어묵의 개발을 위하여 항암성 및 혈압강하작용이 있는 팽이버섯(Flammulina velutipes)을 각각 0, 5, 10, 15 및 20% 첨가한 튀김 어묵을 제조한 다음 색조 변화, 물성 특성 및 관능적 특성을 조사하였다. 팽이버섯의 함유량이 증가할수록 어묵의 색도는 L값은 감소하는 경향, a값은 증가하는 경향, b값도 대체로 증가하는 경향을 나타내었다. 또한, 어묵의 유연성을 나타내는 절곡검사의 결과로는 모든 시료에서 AA로 측정되어 팽이버섯의 첨가에 관계없이 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 물성검사 결과에서, 15%의 팽이버섯을 함유한 어묵에서 강도, 경도, 탄성, 껌성 및 파쇄성이 가장 높게 관찰되었다. 그리고, 관능검사의 결과로는 어묵의 색조와 향기 부문에서는 팽이버섯이 첨가될수록 선호도가 높았으며, 맛과 조직감, 전체적인 선호도의 경우에서는 5%의 팽이버섯이 첨가된 경우가 가장 높았다. 이상의 결과와 같이 팽이버섯을 함유한 고품질 어묵의 제조 가능성을 확인하였다. To provide functional properties in fish meat paste, enoki mushroom (Flammulina velutipes) having anticarcinogenic effect and reduction of blood pressure was added at 0, 5, 10, 15, and 20%. The fried fish meat pastes were investigated for color, rheological properties, and sensory evaluation. Increasing the amount of mushroom in the fish meat paste tended to decrease the lightness (L) in Hunter color value, but to increase the redness (a) and yellowness (b). All test samples with 3 ㎜ thickness had good flexibility and did not break even after 4 times folds. The sample containing 15% mushroom showed the highest values in strength, hardness, gumminess and brittleness. In sensory evaluation, the higher amounts of mushroom obtained favorite score in color and flavour and 5% mushroom sample had the best score in overall acceptance. Therefore, this results suggest that enoki mushroom can be applied to fish meat paste for the purpose of high quality and functionality.

독성가스나 가연성 폭발 위험이 있는 원료를 운반하는 탱크로리 및 벌크로리는 출발지에서부터 목적지 및 중간 경로를 따라 지속적으로 차량 및 탱크의 상태를 모니터링하는 것이 안전을 위해 필요하다. 따라서 본 논문은 탱크로리 운행에 관한 안전 모니터링 시스템에 관하여 제안하고, 차량에 부착된 여러 센서노드들을 통한 차량의 주행상태를 실시간으로 모니터링 및 저장하며, 센서 데이터를 기반으로 차량의 위험도를 판단하는 알고리즘을 적용하여 운전자에게 경고할 수 있도록 하는 탱크로리용 안전 시스템 및 중앙 관제 시스템과의 연계에 관해 고찰한다.
오리엔탈나리의 球根 收穫時期와 低溫處理 期間이 生育에 미치는 影響

This study was carried out to determine the effect of the duration of chilling treatment and the lifting time of bulbs on growth of Lilium Oriental hybrids for product of cut flower in the type of forcing or semiforcing culture in Korea. "Casablanca", "Acapulco" and "Le Reve" in lilium Oriental hybrids were used in these experiment and carried out from 1999 to 2000 in Iksan, Korea. The bulbs for experiment were lifted on August 27, September 27 and October 27 and the all of them were chilled at 5±1℃ for 0,8,10,12 weeks. Development of the bulbs lifted on October 27 was superior than that of lifted bulbs on August 27 in the three cultivars. The bulbs lilted lately and chilled for a long time were sprouted more earlier and grown faster. In order to increase bulb sprouting until 100%, the duration of chilling treatment of bulbs was need for 12 weeks on August 27, 10 weeks on September 27 and above 8 weeks on October 27. The flowering according to the duration of chilling treatment and the lifting time of bulbs was same above. Consequently, the bulbs should be chilled at 5±1℃ for chilled for 10 weeks at late September and 8 weeks in producted bulbs at late October in earlyㆍMidseason variety fur product of cut flower hut bulbs of late variety should be chilled for 12 weeks at late September and 10 weeks at late October.
