The charcoal-encapsulated methyl silica microcapsules were prepared by a O/W microemulsion sol-gel method. and the adsorption properties on aquatic humic acid were investigated. The capsules prepared were spherical. 100 ∼1000 ㎛ in size. The size distribution w-as controllable by adjusting the size of charcoal powder, charcoal/methyl silica ratio, and agitating speed in O/W sol-gel process Adsorption efficiency of charcoal for aquatic humic acid was decreased after encapsulation by methyl silica shell The decreased adsorption efficiency can be dependent on the decrease of the BET surface area and pore volume after encapsulation Diffusion properties of humic acid through the capsule shell also played an important role on adsorption efficiency. Therefore. the reasonable target pollutants for the capsules can he VOC or odor molecules which can overcome diffusion harrier through shell of capsules in air condition Functionalization methods for the charcoal-encapsulated CH₃(S₁O), microcapsules by incorporation of T₁O₃ as a phtocatalytic function and by incorporation of inorganic pigment as a color function were also investigated. TiO₂coating properties were controllable by adjusting pH. temperature. and the concentration of TiOSO₄. In XRD measurement, the crystal form of the coated T₁O₂ was anatase. For the colorization of the capsules. inorganic pigments were more efficient than organic dyes. and various color was introduced to the capsules using inorganic pigments

FBG(Fiber Bragg grating) sensor, which is one of the fiber optic sensors for the application of smart structures, can not only measure one specific point but also multiple points by multiplexing techniques. We have proposed a novel multiplexing technique of FBG sensor by the intensity modulation of light source. This technique is applicable to WDM(Wavelength Division Multiplexing) technique and number of sensors in this system can be increased by using this technique with WDM technique

Objectives: With the designation of Seo-gu in Busan as a medical tourism special zone, the influx of hospitalized patients requiring caregivers is expected to increase, and it is necessary to secure and verify the expertise of caregivers. In this study, we surveyed the competencies of caregivers in the Seo-gu in Busan and compared them to other regions. Methods: This study surveyed the knowledge, skills, professionalism, and job satisfaction of caregivers at tertiary general hospitals and general hospitals in Busan, South Korea. All statistical analyses were conducted using SPSS Statistics 27.0 and included frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, independent samples t-test, and crosstabulation. Results: In the end, 132 caregivers from Seo-gu in Busan and 132 caregivers from other regions were included in the analysis. The knowledge, skills, and job satisfaction of caregiver in Seo-gu were higher than those in other regions, and they were positive about the need for continuing education regardless of the region. Conclusions: The competency of caregivers in the Seo-gu in Busan was evaluated as excellent compared to other regions, and in order for the region to operate effectively as a medical tourism special zone, it will be necessary to provide them with continuing education and improve their working environment.

본 연구는 대전 지역에 거주하는 만성 뇌졸중 환자를 대상으로 경제적 스트레스 요인과 관련된 재정적 압 박, 우울, 삶의 질과의 관계를 알아보고자 하였다. 연구 대상자는 대전시 소재 종합병원 및 병원에서 물리치료를 받고 있는 만성 뇌졸중환자 209명을 대상으로 하였다. 연구는 설문지를 통해 1:1 면접 조사하여 자료를 수집하였다. 수집 된 자료를 통해 뇌졸중 환자의 일반적 특성, 물리치료, 질병관련 특성에 따른 환자의 경제적 스트레스, 우울, 생활수 준, 삶의 질과의 차이를 알아보았다. 연구 결과는 생활수준(p<.000), 재정적 압박(p<.000), 우울(p<.05), 삶의 질(p>.05) 이 통계적으로 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 생활수준이 매우 심각하거나, 재정적 압박, 우울 지수가 높으며 삶의 질 지수 가 낮을수록 더 유의하게 경제적 스트레스 점수가 높게 나왔다. 후속연구에서는 환자와 직접적인 연관이 있는 보호자 와 환자의 공통된 경제적 부담 수준을 측정하여 객관적인 경제적 스트레스 지표를 고안한다면 임상적으로 중요한 자 료가 될 것이다. 또한 뇌졸중 환자의 경제적 스트레스의 감소 및 삶의 질 수준을 증진시킬 수 있는 치료적 중재의 개 발이 절실히 요구된다. This study was carried out to examine relationships between financial pressures, depression, the quality of life related with economic stress factors on patients suffering from chronic strokes residing in Daejeon. 209 patients with chronic stroke being treated in genernal hospital were selected as subjects for this study. Data were collected by conducting 1:1 interviews through questionnaires. The study examined differences in patients' economic stress, depression, standard of living and the quality of lives through collected data. The results showed statistically meaningful analysis in standard of living(p<.000), economic pressure (p<.000), depression (p<.05), the quality of life (p>.05), the standard of living (p<.05). The higher the economic pressure, depression indexes or very severe the standard of living the lower the quality of life index, so the economic stress meaningfully increases. If an objective economic stress index is devised by measuring the level of economic burdens in common with guardians of patients and patients themselves, the index will become clinically important data. Furthermore, there requires the development of medical mediation that can reduce economic stress and increase the quality of life for patients suffering from strokes.
An Exercise to Explore Avatar Customization and Gender Swapping

아바타는 <나의 분신>이라 불리는 사이버상에서 캐릭터를 이르는 단어로, 본 연구에서는 MMORPG 게임에서 자신을 치장하며 실제 자기표현과 이상화(理想化) 기능을 하는 캐릭터로 정의하 였다. 본 연구를 통해 멀티 아바타와 성별 전환 사이에서 작동하는 유병률(有病率)을 설명하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 본 실험을 위하여 선행된 방법은 유저에게 지정된 게임 연습과 질문을 미리 제공하 였고, 이는 선행적으로 사용자에게 게임 동기를 발생하여 아바타 생성에 도움을 주고자하는 것이 목 적이었다. 본 연구를 통해 연령, 성별과 성전환 사이에 상관관계를 살펴보았고, 비 전형적인 방식에서 는 성전환 가능성이 높아졌고 일반 참가자 또한 절반의 성전환 선택의 경향을 보여주었다. 마지막으 로, 경험의 성격 특성에 대한 경험에 대한 개방성은 성별과 유사한 상관관계를 보였다. Avatars are a visual representation of users in a virtual world such as an MMORPG. These avatars are often seen as representations or idealizations of the user's actual self. However, this view does not account for the prevalence of two behaviors: multiple avatars and 'gender swapping'. An exercise and questionnaire were created to study avatar customization practices across players outside the context of any particular game to understand better user motivations in creating their virtual selves. A preliminary trial of the exercise showed little correlation between age or gender and gender swapping. While those of non-traditional sexuality were more likely to gender swap, half of traditional sexuality also swapped. Finally, the personality trait, Openness to Experience, showed promising correlation with gender swapping.
