        Fatigue Crack Growth Behavior in Ultrafine Grained Low Carbon Steel

        Ultrafine grained (UFG) low carbon (0.15 wt.% C) steel produced by equal channel angular pressing (ECAP) was tested for investigating the effect of load ratio on the fatigue crack growth rate. Fatigue crack growth resistance and threshold of UFG steel were lower than that of as-received coarse grained steel. It was attributed to the less tortuous crack path. The UFG steel exhibited slightly higher crack growth rates and a lower △K_th with an increase of R ratio. The R ratio effect on crack growth rates and △K_th was basically indistinguishable at lower load ratio (R>0.3), compared to other alloys, which indicates that contribution of the crack closure vanishes. The crack growth rate curve for UFG steel exhibited a longer linear extension to the lower growth rate regime than that for the coarse grained as-received steel.<br/>

        The bogie frames mainly fabricate 9㎜ thick rolled steels and sometimes fatigue cracks occur in their welded joints due to inadequate fatigue design and poor weld quality. The objective of this study is to present the systematic procedure of the fatigue durability estimation and the remaining life prediction for diesel locomotive bogie frame weldments. In order for prediction of remaining fatigue lifetime, service stresses were measured at critical points, using strain gages, during field tests under several rail-roading conditions. It was found that the systematic procedure presented in this study could be applied practically to the fatigue analysis for the locomotive bogie frame weldments.

        In general most of structure in our country, has steel of SBD 24 combining 180kg/cm2 or 210kg/cm2 of standard compressive strength of concrete. When we consider economical design in structural and practical operation, this paper has estimated steel quantities by combining the design standard strength of steel with those of concrete in reinforced concrete building which has four stories for office and then compared each other. As a result of comparing the quantities of steel according to their combination, it has searched for which combination has consumed less steel and become economic.

      • 저온에서의 자연철의 Mo¨ssbauer Spectra 硏究

        Mo¨ssbauer parameters of natural iron have been measured from 25K to 298K. The isomer shift was not linear with absolute temperature, except at high temperature, because of quantized lattice levels. We have obtained the Debye and einstein temperature by fitting the kinetic temperature proposed by Mazo and Kirwood. We have found out the following results; 1) Isomer shift values tend to increase, while temperature decrease. 2) Hyperfine splitting values tend to increase, while temperature decrease. 3) Debye temperature is 264 K. 4) Einstein temperature is 202 K.

        본 논문에서는 R/S(Rescaled range)통계량을 어느 한 시계열에 대하여 누적편차를 이용하여 정의할 때, Hurst 지수측정에서 최소한의 필요한 데이터수는 N=2^10이며, 합당한 lag는 2^3 으로서 가능할 수 있음을 제안한다. In this study, in R/S(rescaled range) statistic by using cumulative deviation for one time series, we suggest that the minimum number of data in estimating Hurst Exponent is N=2^10 and the suitable length of lag is 2^3

      • 80年代를 위한 農村 單位部落 構造改善에 關한 硏究

        Recent change of our rural environment is very rapid and living environment of rural inhabitants should be ceaselessly improved to keep pace with their increasing income and requirements . Basic unit village is the most essential living zone to human beings, which can make change in living pattern. To suggest reasonable unit village relocation plan, following 3 villages were selected as pilot projects ; 1)Duckpyong-ri, Majang-myon, Ihchon-kun, Kyonggi-do. 2)Bon-dong, Homyong-myon, Yechon-kun, Kyongsang-pukdo. 3)Dosan-ri, Kochang-eup, Kochang-kun, Chulla-pukdo. In planning process of these 3 villages, it is emphasized that ; 1)To keep tradition of Korean rural area and economic efficiency by sufficient application of natural land formation. 2)Most housing sites are relocated to higher places for the improvement of housing environment and enlargement of farm land. 3)Street flow lines are planned along the curved contour line to express Korean traditional road line. 4)Site location keeps certain height difference, if possible, for good view, ventilation and application of sun shine. 5)Location of annex buildings for farm using is separated from dwelling units to make better living environment. 6)To give variations in community, size of housing site is prepared within range from 265 m2 (80 pyong) to 395 m2 (120 pyong). 7)To exclude monotoneous mood from continuously located housing site, some green areas are provided at several spots between curved road line and steeply sloped housing lot. 8)To install athletic field and play groung for children, open spac s are reserved as much as possible.

      • 기술능력에 기반한 공공건설사업 설계자 선정방안

        본 논문은 시장의 요구와 투명성, 발주자 부담 최소화 등 정책적 논리에 따라 만들어진 설계자 선정제도를 용역규모 및 특성에 따라 체계화하고, 기술능력 중심으로 설계자가 선정될 수 있도록 개선방안을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위하여 본 논문에서는 국내 설계자 선정제도에 대한 분석을 통해 PQ평가기준의 변별력 미흡, 기술제안서 평가에 대한 부담, 적격심사제도의 운찰제 등의 문제점을 가지고 있다는 것을 파악하였다. 이러한 국내의 제도적 문제점을 해결하기 위해 본 연구에서는 외국의 설계자 선정방법인 기술능력에 기반한 설계자 선정제도인 QBS(Qualification Based Selection)방식을 고찰하였다. 이 방식은 설계용역에 참여하는 설계자의 자격, 역량과 성과데이터를 평가하여 요구되는 서비스에 가장 높은 자격을 갖춘 업체(가장 점수가 높은 업체)를 선정하고 있으며, 가격은 반영되지 않거나, 일정 비율 이하로만 한정하여 가격 변별력을 최소화하는 방식이다. 또한 설계자의 선정시에 중요한 평가항목으로 해당용역의 이해도 및 수행방법으로 활용하고 있다는 점도 벤치마킹 사항으로 도출하였다. 이를 토대로 본 연구에서는 설계 등 용역업체 선정방법의 개선방안으로 용역규모 및 사업특성에 따라 선정방법을 보다 정형화하여 사업수행능력평가시 설계용역을 수행하는 기술자에 대한 평가를 강화하는 방안을 제시하였다. 또한 기존 사업수행능력평가방식에서 통과방식을 도입하는 방안과 기술경쟁과 무관한 평가항목을 정비하는 등 기술력 평가 중심으로 사업수행능력평가항목을 체계화하는 방안도 제시하였다. 마지막으로 투명성과 공정성 강화를 위해 평가결과의 공개 및 해명제도의 운영 등을 제안하였다. 본 논문에서 제시한 개선방안은 기술자 자격 및 경험 중심의 평가기준으로 기술자 우대 풍토를 조성하며, 선정과정에 있어 발주자의 책임을 강화하고 글로벌 경쟁력을 확보할 수 있는 기반을 마련할 것으로 판단된다. The Purpose of this study is to propose improvements on the qualification based consultant selection system of construction engineering projects in the public area. This paper studied the domestic consultant selection system through literature reviews. The study resulted in as follows; first of all, domestic construction engineering PQ(Pre-Qualification) system is lack of discrimination on engineering consultants. Second, many owner’s staff have burden of evaluation of technical proposals. finally, the consultant selection system is awarded by luck more than consultant qualifications. The study of abroad literature resulted that many contries use QBS(Qualification Based Selection) method in the consultant selection process. QBS is a competitive contract procurement process whereby consulting firms submit qualifications to a procuring entity (owner) who evaluates and selects the most qualified firm. An important evaluation item of QBS is the understanding about the project. The result of this paper proposed the improvements to change the consultant selection system; first, evaluation criteria of consultant selection system changed to the qualification based evaluation factors. And the focus on the evaluation system is the ability of project team and consultants other than a firm’s ability. second, the PQ system introduce the pass or fail method. and finally, debriefing process introduce in order to enhance the transparency of construction process. This study can be enhanced the fundament of global competitiveness of construction industry to improve the engineering consultant selection system.
