비모수적 회귀를 위한 바운더리 커널

희귀곡선과 같은 원만한 곡선의 끝부분을 커널함수를 이용하여 추정하고자 할 때는 실용성과 이론적인 관점에서 볼 때 커널함수를 수정해야만 한다. 이러한 현상을 위해 수정된 몇 개의 바운더리 커널을 소개하였다. 몇 몇 학자에 의하여 연구한 이러한 바운더리 커널은 이론적으로만 연구가 되어 기본틀만이 이루어졌다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 이론을 바탕으로 바운더리 커널의 정확한 형태를 유도하였다. 또한 차경준의외 1인(2000)이 연구한 새로운 바운더리 커널을 소개하였으며 이러한 작업은 미지의 희귀곡선을 추정하고자 할 때 직접적인 도움이 될 것이다. Kernel estimators for smooth curve such as regression functions require modifications when estimating near endpoints of the support, both for practical and asymptotic reasons. A few boundary kernels to remove these effects will be introduced. The theoretical works of these boundary kernels have done by a few authors but they mostly gave frame works, not explicit formulas to use. In this paper, explicit analytic formulas for these boundary kernels are derived for practical reasons Also, the new boundary kernel which is previously worked by Cha and Schucany(2000) is introduced. Thus, it gives the help for direct use of boundary kernel when the unknown regression function is nonparametrically fitted.

허스트지수 특성에 관한 연구

본 논문에서는 R/S(Rescaled range)통계량을 어느 한 시계열에 대하여 누적편차를 이용하여 정의할 때, Hurst 지수측정에서 최소한의 필요한 데이터수는 N=2^10이며, 합당한 lag는 2^3 으로서 가능할 수 있음을 제안한다. In this study, in R/S(rescaled range) statistic by using cumulative deviation for one time series, we suggest that the minimum number of data in estimating Hurst Exponent is N=2^10 and the suitable length of lag is 2^3

근사 엔트로피의 통계적 특성에 관한 연구

본 연구에서는 복잡계(複雜系)의 비선형지표 중에 하나인 근사 엔트로피(approximate entropy; ApEn)의 통계적 특성을 알아보고, 산과학(産科學)분야에 이를 적용하여보았다. 태아의 비정상적인 행동양상을 발육지연태아(uncomplicated Intrauterine Growth Restriction, uIUGR)를 대상으로 실증분석을 하였던 바(normal fetus=0.90±0.02 vs uIUGR fetus=0.67±0.02, p=0.001), 기존의 선형적 분석으로 구별할 수 없었던 미묘한 변화를 카오틱 정량화 방법(ApEn)으로서 성공적으로 구별할 수 있었다. 중심단어 : 복잡계, 근사 엔트로피, 발육지연태아 In this study, we investigate statistical properties of approximate entropy that is one of nonlinear indices in the complex systems and apply to obstetrics. Analyzing abnormal fetus behavior with the target of uncomplicated intrauterine growth restriction(normal fetus=0.90±0.02 vs uIUGR fetus=0.67±0.02, p=0.001), we can successfully discriminate a subtle change with chaotic quantitative method that can't discriminate with the existing linear analysis. 정적로딩 및 동적로딩을 통한 S-PLUS와 C 언어간의 인터페이스 구현

S-PLUS는 통계자료분석 및 모의실험을 행할 때 가장 많이 사용되는 통계패키지 중 하나로서 연산을 수향하는 내장함수(buit-in function)와 그래픽 기능을 가지고 있다. 그러나, 이러한 기능이 모든 문제를 해결해 주는 것은 아니며 문제 해결을 위하여 함수를 복합적으로 사용하거나 C 또는 Fortran같은 언어로 구성된 프로그램을 S-PLUS와 연결시켜 사용해야 하는 경우가 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 많은 장점을 가지고 있음에도 불구하고 실제 구현단계에서 여러 가지 어려움으로 인하여 널리 쓰이지 못하고 있는 S-PLUS와 C 언어간의 인터페이스 구현에 관한 것으로 정적로딩(Static Loading)과 동적로딩(Dynamic Loading)을 통한 구체적인 인터페이스 실행방법을 보이고 그 예를 실행하였다.

Use of the estimated critical values adapting a regression equation for the approximate entropy test

The statistical testing methods have been widely recognized to determine the plain and cipher texts. In fact, the randomness for a sequence from an encryption algorithm is necessary to guarantee security and reliance of cipher algorithm. Thus, the statistical randomness tests are used to discover cipher text. In this paper, we would provide the critical value for an approximate entropy test by estimating the nonlinear regression equation when the number of sequence and the level of significance are given. Thus, we can discern plan and cipher text for real problem with given number of sequence and the level of significance. Also, we confirm the fitness of the estimated critical values from the rate of success for plain or cipher text.

Sinusoid 패턴 인식을 위한 측도로서의 허스트 지수

본 연구에서 카오스 모형을 직접적으로 검정하기 위한 표준적인 기법 중의 하나인 R/S 분석(resealed range statistical analysis)과 허스트 지수를 'sinusoid' 패턴 평가하는 데 적용하였다. 이는 다소 잡음이 섞여 있으면서 동시에 준주기 성향을 갖는 시계열자료에 대해서 허스트 지수가 이를 간접적으로 평가 할 수 있는 측도(measure)로 활용될 수 있음을 논하였다. The Resealed range statistical analysis and Hurst exponent which are standard methods to test the chaotic model are used to examine sinusoid pattern. We notice that the Hurst exponent can be used as a measure to examine the time series data that show semi-cyclic trend with noise.

강건설계에서 크리깅기법을 적용한 저소음 흡기계 설계

We propose an optimal design t improve the muffler's capacity by reducing the noise of the intake system by adapting kriging method with the robust design. For the first stage of a design, the length and radius of each component of the current muffler system are selected as control factors. Then, the L_18 table of orthogonal arrays is adapted to extract the effective main factors. As the second stage, the L_18 table of orthogonal arrays using kriging method is adapted to take the significant factors into consideration. As an optimal design, the L_18 table of orthogonal arrays with main effects is proposed and the kriging method is adapted for more efficient design. The kriging method improves the performance of intake system.

황금비에 대한 통계적 고찰

In this study, it is certified that the golden ratio exists in the plants, the animals and human bodies(appearance), and is considered how much the ratio of positive and negative is in the psychological, political, social and cultural aspects. The result of this study shows that the golden sections or golden rectangles of the plants(N=58), the insects(N=44), the animals(N=21) and human bodies(N=260) are equal to $0.620{\pm}0.117$, $0.632{\pm}0.203$, $0.625{\pm}0.138$ and $0.60{\pm}0.169$, respectively. The slope in the regression analysis is equal to 0.627(R-square=0.925, p-value=0.0001). Whereas, for the public opinion poll, the ratios($mean{\pm}st.dev.$) of positive and negative of the public mental phenomena are equal to $0.508{\pm}0.179$, $0.808{\pm}0.216$ and $0.711{\pm}0.128$ in the political, economical, and sociocultural aspects, respectively. The slope in the regression is equal to 0.674(R-square=0.764, p-value=0.016). As results, we show that the golden ratio exists in the plants, the animals and human bodies in nature. This shows that the public mental phenomena has some more negative aspects than positive aspects and explains the shrinkage of the public mental phenomena in the economical field.

크리깅 모형을 이용한 컴퓨터 실험의 설계와 분석

최근 많은 과학적 현상에서 서로 다른 위치에 있는 자료들이 공간적인 상호 작용에 의해 영향을 받는 복잡한 컴퓨터 모델링이 연구되고 있다. 그러한 연구들은 주로 공간적 변인에 의해 영향을 받는 자료에 대하여 상호 연관성을 고려한 함수식에 대한 예측모형에 초점을 두고 있다. 본 연구에서는 컴퓨터 실험에서의 메타모델로서 크리깅 방법을 제시하고, 컴퓨터 모델링을 통하여 생성된 자료를 가지고 크리깅 방법의 정확성과 효율성을 검증하였다. In many fields of design of experiments, the complicate computer modeling, which is influenced by inter-action of various data, has been studied. These studies are focused on prediction models for the functions considering the inter-correlated points influenced by spatial variation. In this paper, we describe the definition, the prediction function and the algorithm of kriging method and examine the accuracy of kriging by using validation method.
