Although deep learning-based visual image recognition technology has evolved rapidly, most of the commonly used methods focus solely on recognition accuracy. However, the demand for low latency and low power consuming image recognition with an acceptable accuracy is rising for practical applications in edge devices. For example, most Internet of Things (IoT) devices have a low computing power requiring more pragmatic use of these technologies; in addition, drones or smartphones have limited battery capacity again requiring practical applications that take this into consideration. Furthermore, some people do not prefer that central servers process their private images, as is required by high performance serverbased recognition technologies. To address these demands, the object and scene recognition technologies for mobile/embedded devices that enable optimized neural networks to operate in mobile and embedded environments are gaining attention. In this report, we briefly summarize the recent trends and issues of object and scene recognition technologies for mobile and embedded devices.
국내 남해안에 발생한 적조원인생물들의 24S rRNA 유전자 염기서열분석

국내 남해안의 적조발생지역에서 채집한 Prorocentrum minimum, P. micans, P. triestinum, P. balticum, Gymnodinium sanguineum, Alexandrium catenella, Scrippsiella trochoidea, Heterosigma akashiwo를 순수배양하고 이로부터 PCR을 이용해 약 700 bp에 해당되는 24S rRNA 유전자의 D1과 D2 변이부위를 증폭하고 클로닝한 후 염기서열을 분석하였다. 분석된 염기서열들을 이미 밝혀진 적조원인종들의 것과 ClustalW 프로그램을 사용하여 배열하고 계통수를 구성한 결과 Prorocentrum과 Alexandrium 속의 것들은 형태적인 분류결과와 종수준까지 거의 일치함을 보여주었다. 이러한 연구결과는 그 24S rRNA 유전자의 염기서열분석이 국내에서 발생하는 적조원인종들에 대한 종 수준에서의 신속한 확인에 이용될 수 있음을 제시한다. Cultured isolates of Prorocentrum minimum, P. micans, P. triestinum, P. balticum, Gymnodinium sanguineum, Alexandrium catenella, Scrippsiella trochoidea, and Heterosigma akashiwo from red tides in southern coast of Korea were phylogenetically compared on the basis of their 24S rRNA genes. For each isolate approximately 700 bp of 24S rDNA, encompassing D1 and D2 hypervariable domains, was amplified using the polymerase chain reaction and sequenced. The sequences were aligned with those reported in Genbank by using ClustalW program and phylogenetic tree was generated to show that morphospecies designations in the Alexandrium and Prorocentrum species are congruent with terminal taxa defined by phylogenetic analysis of the 24S rRNA fragment. Our results suggest that the molecular phylogeny approach could facilitate identification of domestic dinoflagellates which have ambiguous morphologies.
물곰팡이 Allomyces macrogynus에서 Tetrahydrobiopterin의 생합성

Allomyces macrogynus를 대상으로 꼬리홀씨와 팡이실에서 tetrahydrobiopterin의 세포내 농도와 그 생합성 효소들의 활성을 비교분석하였다. 습윤중량의 세포를 기준으로 비교하였을 때 biopterin은 홀씨에 비해 팡이실에서 14배 정도 많은 양이 검출되었다. 그 생합성에 관여하는 GTP cyclohydrolase I(GTPCH), 6-pyruboyltetrahydropterin synthase(PTPS), sepiapterin reductase(SR)의 효소활성을 ammonium sulfate 단백질 농축액에서 분석한 결과 GTPCH와 PTPS의 활성은 팡이실에서 꼬리홀씨에 비해 약 2배 정도 높은 값을 보여주었다. 반면 SR의 활성은 오히려 꼬리홀씨에서 10배 정도 높은 것으로 분석되었다. 그리고 Northern blot 분석 결과 SR의 전사물도 꼬리홀씨에서 훨씬 많이 검출되었다. 이러한 결과들은 tetrahydrobiopterin이 Allomyces macrogynus의 팡이실 분화단계에 관여하고 있음을 추정케하는 한편 SR의 생리활성과 관련된 의문을 제기하고 있다. Comparative analyses of intracellular biopterin contents and its biosynthetic enzymes were performed in Allomyces macrogynus. Biopterin content in fresh weight was 14-fold higher in mycelium than in zoospore. Enzyme activities of GTP cyclohydrolase I and 6-pyruvoyltetrahydropterin synthase in ammonium sulfate fractions were approximately 2-fold higher in mycelium. On the other hand, sepiapterin reductase (SR) activity was 10 fold higher in zoospore. Northern blot assay also demonstrated that SR transcript was abundant in zoospore. These results suggest a possible involvement of tetrahydrobiopterin in cellular differentiation of Allomyces macrogyllus as well as provide an experimental basis to elucidate the physiological function of SR in this organism.

In this paper, we present an adaptive e-Learning system. It consists of a learner diagnosis module based on Cognitive Diagnosis Model, a database for learning contents and user data, and a service platform. Our adaptive e-Learning system provides a personalized learning experience. A dashboard which shows learner’s past records and future learning directions is provided. Also, learner’s weak points are shown after they solve a set of problem.

It is necessary to comprehensively understand about lake water quality, environmental factors to successfully manage environmental problems such as eutrophication and mass propagation of phytoplankton in lakes. When it comes to a method of eutrophication evaluation, Carlson’s trophic state index (TSI) has been used so far but was not suitable for artificial lakes in Korea. Accordingly, a new Korean trophic state index (TSIKO), was developed and utilized by National Institute of Environmental Research. The purpose of this research is to identify current situation of water quality in the six spots of artificial lakes, to measure eutrophication through Korean TSIKO, to finally provide information on lake eutrophication management. As a result, Chl-a (Chlorophyll a) of KAC9 showed higher than others. According to Korean TSIKO, nutritional status by lake In 2016 showed that Paldang Lake was mesotrophic·eutrophic In the long-term from 2008 to 2016, Korean TSIKO of Paldang Lake ranged from 44 to 50 and it was assessed mesotrophic·eutrophic as well. To conclude, in the Han River That is why going downstream and increasing inflow link to increasing retention time in the lake as well as an increase of algae, nutrients and so on, it could be reasons of eutrophication and needs management continuously with nonpoint pollution. This paper could be applied a basic resource for comprehensive management of lake eutrophication by types of lake.
