加味歸脾湯이 環境호르몬및 Apomorpine HCl에 의해 유도된 고양이의 勃起能에 미치는 影響

The effect of Gamigyuibitang on the penile erection induced by apomorphine HCl and on the erectile dysfunction induced by p,p-DDE, an environmental hormone derivate of DDT, were monitored using male cats. The changes of penile length, diameter &rectic periods were observed. The results were as followed. 1. After induction of penile erection using apomorphine HCl, penile lengths in the Gamigyuinitang-dosing groups were significantly and dose-dependently increased compared to that of single dose of apomorphine HCl (ApG1 and ApG2) and p,p-DDE dosing group (DDEG). 2. After induction of penile erection using apomorphine HCl, penile diameters in the Gamigyuinitang-dosing groups were significantly and dose-dependently increased compared to that of single dose of apomorphine HCl (ApG1 and ApG2) and p,p-DDE dosing group (DDEG). 3. After induction of penile erection using apomorphine HCl, erectic periods in the Gamigyuinitang-dosing groups were significantly and dose-dependently increased compared to that of single dose of apomorphine HCl (ApG1 and ApG2) and p,p-DDE dosing group (DDEG). In conclusion, dose-dependent and significant increase of penile length, diameter &rectic periods were detected in the Gamigyuibitang-dosing groups compared to other groups. According to these results, it is considered that Gamigyuibitang has some augmentation effect against to apomorphine HCl inducing penile erection and it also suggested that Gamigyuibitang has favorable effect to treatment of erectic dysfunctions induced by p,p-DDE.

Objectives : The water extract of Bowon-tang composited with thePanax, AstragalusandGlycyrrhiza Radixhas been traditionally used for treatment of a sickly child and smallpox in oriental medicine. However, little is known about the regulatory effects of Bowon-tang on the production, expression and activity of immune mediators [nitric oxide, prostaglandin E2, inducible nitric oxide synthetase, cyclooxygenase-2], the macrophage activation factor production, the proliferation, subset expression, the killing activity, and the capping in immune cells.Methods : In this study, we investigated the effects of water extracts from Bowon-tang,Panax, AstragalusorGRin mouse immune cells or human Jurkat T cells. Each extract (25-200 ㎍/㎖)perse had no cytotoxic effect in unstimulated macrophages, but concentration-dependently regulated NO and PGE<sub>2</sub>production, iNOS expression, and COX-2 activity in mouse peritoneal macrophages with MAF stimulation. These regulatory effects were synergistically increased by their combination (Bowon-tang).Results : The extract of Bowon-tang concentration-dependently regulated T cell proliferation, CD4<sup>+</sup>and CD8<sup>+</sup>expression, and NK killing activity in mouse splenocytes and capping in Jurkat T cells.Conclusions : These results suggest that the water extract of Bowon-tang composited with thePanax, AstragalusandGRmay be useful for therapeutic drugs against a sickly constitution and immune diseases, probably by regulating the production of immune mediators.
Multi-dimensional GC-MS를 이용한 항공터빈유의 FAME 함량 분석

The current allowable cross-contamination level of fatty acid methyl esters (FAME) in aviation turbine fuel (AVTUR) is 50 mg/kg, due to that the presence of FAME in AVTUR can significantly impact the fuel supply system and jet engine. It has been difficult to analyze the level of FAME in AVTUR, since it is consisted of a lot of hydrocarbons. In this study, thus, a new method using multi-dimensional GC-MS (MDGC-MS) was proposed in order to determine the FAME level in AVTUR effectively. Applying to MDGC-MS with Deans switching system enabled us to detect and quantify the FAME with low carbon numbers such as those derived from coconut oil and palm kernel oil. The matrix effect of MDGC-MS method, which could shift the FAME peaks to slightly longer retention times, was reduced by 20 times compared with that of 1-dimensional GC-MS reference method. This developed method could be suitable for qualitative and quantitative analyses to determine the contamination level of trace FAME in AVTUR. 항공유에 fatty acid methyl esters (FAME)가 혼합될 경우 연료 공급시스템과 항공기 엔진에 치명적인 고장의 원인이 될 수 있기 때문에 항공유 품질규격에서 FAME 함량을 50 mg/kg 이하로 규정하고 있다. 무수히 많은 탄화수소로 구성된 항공유 중의 FAME 성분을 선택적으로 분석하기 어렵기 때문에 본 연구에서는 MDGC-MS를 사용한 새로운 시험방법을 개발하였다. Deans switching 시스템이 설치된 MDGC-MS를 이용하면 코코넛 오일이나 팜유 유래의 저분자량 FAME 성분도 분석이 가능함을 확인하였다. 개발된 시험방법은 FAME 피크의 머무름 시간을 약간 뒤로 이동시키는 매질 효과(matrix effect)를 현행의 기준 시험방법(IP 585)보다 약 20배 이하로 감소시킬 수 있었다. MDGC-MS는 항공유에 미량의 FAME가 오염되었는지 여부를 정성 및 정량적으로 확인할 수 있는 시험방법으로 적합하였다
석유제품의 식별제(Unimark 1494DB) 분석을 위한 HPLC 적용가능성 분석 연구

석유제품 내의 식별제를 정성⋅정량분석하기 위해 HPLC의 적용가능성을 연구하였다. 등유와 자동차용 경유에 함유된 식별제의 정성분석을 위해 HPLC에서 최적의 분석조건(이동상 용매의 비율, 유속 등)을 선정하고, 이를 바탕으로 식별제의 정량분석을 위한 검량곡선을 작성하였다. 특히, 일정 농도 범위에 서의 등유는 4.75분에서, 그리고 자동차용 경유는 4.17분의 머무름시간(retention time)을 나타내었고, 등유와 자동차용 경유의 검량곡선 상관계수(R 2 )가 0.999 이상을 나타내어 정량분석에 적용 가능할 것으로 나타 났다. 현행 식별제의 분석방법인 UV/Vis 분광광도계를 이용한 분석결과와 비교분석을 실시하였고, 등유의 경우 약 7 %의 낮은 편차를 보였으며, 자동차용 경유의 경우 약 20 %의 다소 큰 편차를 확인하였다. For analyzing the qualitative and quantitative analysis of fuel marker in petroleum products, the applicability of HPLC was studied. For the qualitative analysis of fuel marker in kerosene and automotive diesel, optimal analytical conditions(ratio of mobile phase solvent, flow rate, etc) in HPLC were selected and calibration curve for quantitative analysis of fuel marker was prepared based on the result of qualitative analysis. In particular, the correlation coefficient of calibration curve in kerosene and automotive diesel was shown to be 0.999 in a certain concentration range and it could be applied to the quantitative analysis. The results of analysis using the UV/Vis spectrometer, which is the current analysis method of fuel marker, were compared with the analysis results using the HPLC. The kerosene showed a low deviation of about 7 % and the automotive diesel showed a somewhat large deviation of about 20 %.

Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a chronic inflammatory skin disease associated with cutaneous hyperreactivity to environmental triggers. The clinical phenotype that characterizes AD is the product of interactions between susceptible genes, the environmental factors, defective skin barrier function, and immunologic responses. This review summarizes recent progress in our understanding of the immunopathophysiology of AD and the implications for mouse models of AD in drug discovery from medicinal plants.
