본 논문에서는 어떤 기하학적 양이 핀치되어 있으면 위상적 또는 미분위상적인 구면이 된다는 구면정리의 발전과 역사를 다루었다. 단면곡률의 핀칭과 관련하여, 고전적 핀칭 구면 정리에서 최근에 증명된 기념비적인 미분 핀칭 구면정리로 발전하는 과정의 역사를 기술하였다. 또 직경, 반경, 부피 등과 관련하여 계량불변량 구면정리와 미분 계량불변량 구면정리의 발전의 과정을 소개하였고, 구면정리와 관련된 미해결문제에 대한 역사를 기술하였다. The sphere theorem is one of the main streams in modern Riemannian geometry. In this article, we survey developments of pinching theorems from the classical one to the recent differentiable pinching theorem. Also we include sphere theorems of metric invariants such as diameter and radius with historical view point.

Production and measurement of a super-polished few-ppm-scattering mirror substrate are investigated. In order to improve the surface roughness directly determining scattering, the super-polishing process using Bowl-Feed technique is tried. The surface quality of the super-polished substrate is estimated by the phase-measuring interferometer. For the reliable roughness measurement using the interferometer, data averaging method is applied so that the optimal data averaging condition, 30 phase-data averaging and 20 intensity-data averaging, minimizing the measurement error is experimently searched. Based on the optimal data averaging condition, surface roughness of home-made mirror substrate is measured to be less than $0.5{\AA}$ rms corresponding to 2-ppm total-integrated-scattering.
Bowl-feed 연마기법에 의한 초연마 반사경 기판의 표면 거칠기 특성

Bowl-feed식 연마공정에 의한 초연마 반사경 기판의 표면 거칠기 특성이 전통적인 fresh-feed식 연마공정의 경우와 비교하여 조사하였다. Bowl-feed식 연마기법에 의해 가공된 반사경 기판의 표면 거칠기는 fresh-feed식 연마공정에 비해 약 3배 개선되었으며, 표면 거칠기 RMS값의 경우 $0.5\AA$이하, 최고 $0.3\AA$의 양호한 결과를 얻었다. 또한, 연마된 반사경 기판의 1차원 표면 거칠기 분포도와 표면 거칠기 amplitude spectrum으로부터 fresh-feed 공정에 대한 bowl-feed 연마공정의 기판표면구조 변화상태가 분석되었다. Most of architectural firms use computer techniques as everyday tools of design tasks as well as for general office works. Since there have been little efforts at understanding the actual situation, however, it is rather unexpectable to foresee any possible problems and suggest a strategy for the development of architectural design practice in terms of information technology(IT) in near future. This study is based on the surveys conducted on the use of computing technology by architectural firms in Daejeon, which has been done for 4 times bi-annually from 1999 to this year as foundational efforts for resolving the above problem. The results show that the architectural firms in Daejeon generally bear rather passive attitudes to computing technology and their actual use of IT resides at the basic and non-professional level of general office works and CAD as drafting and presentation tools at the most. In this sense, this study would provide a useful basis for the suggestion of a strategy for enhancing the practical competitiveness of architectural firms with computing technology. It should also be noted that further research is required to dynamically analyse the results of more and broader surveys and develop a concrete strategy as such.

The bias characteristics due to the changes of temperature and temperature gradient of fiber coil are investigated in fiber-optic gyroscope. The bias performance is degraded with the changes of temperature and temperature gradient of fiber coil. The temperature compensation using both the temperature-dependent bias measurement and the temperature-induced error model of fiber-optic gyroscope improves the bias stability about 3 times as much as the uncompensated original case, which leads to very stable bias performance over the temperature range from $-35^{\circ}C$ to $+77^{\circ}C$.
온라인 게임문화의 발전에 따른 가족관계 문화의 변형에 관한 연구

본 연구는 청소년 온라인 게임문화의 발전에 따른 가족관계 문화의 변형 행태에 대해 알아보기 위해 수도 권 소재 초·중·고등학교 재학생 30명을 대상으로 Q분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과 5개 유형의 집단이 도출되 었는데, 전체적으로 모든 유형에서 청소년들이 부모의 게임에 대한 부정적 시각을 인지하고 있었다. 그러나 가족과 함께 게임을 즐기는 것에 대해서 5유형은 신중형을, 4유형은 수용형의 모습을 보이고 있었다. 이는 향후 가족관계에 있어 게임이 새로운 변수가 될 수 있음을 의미한다. 아울러 부모와 자식 간의 게임을 둘러 싼 극단적 대립은 점차 완화될 가능성이 크다. 본 연구의 결과는 청소년 온라인게임 문화 연구 그리고 가족 관계를 포함한 다양한 청소년 문화 연구의 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다. In order to understand the transformational patterns of family relationship culture in accordance with the advancement of youth online game culture, this study conducted a Q-analysis, targeting 30 students at elementary, middle and high schools in Seoul metropolitan area. The analysis revealed five types of groups, and overall, in all five types, the youth displayed their awareness about their parents' negative perspective on games. However, regarding the matter of enjoying games together with their families, the type 5 showed the cautious-type, while the type 4 showed the receptive-type. This means that games could become a new variable in family relationships in the future. Moreover, it is highly possible that the extreme confrontation between parents and their children on games will gradually subside. The results of this study could be used as the basic data for researches on the youth online game culture, and researches on diverse youth cultures including family relationship.
