운동선수의 베타3-아드레날린성 수용체 유전자의 Trp64Arg 다형성이 혈압, 신체조성 및 골밀도에 미치는 영향

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between Trp64Arg polymorphism in the ${\beta}_3$-adrenergic receptor gene and complex phenotypes such as blood pressure, body compositions and bone parameters in young men about 20 years, and to collect the fundamental data in designing the exercise program. Eighty healthy young men including 41 controls and 39 athletes were recruited, Trp64Arg polymorphism in the ${\beta}_3$-adrenergic receptor gene was genotyped by PCR-RFLP method. By association study, there were no significance in genotype and allele frequencies of Trp64Arg polymorphism in the ${\beta}_3$-adrenergic receptor gene between controls and athletes, respectively (p>0.05). When the relationship between physiological parameters and Trp64Arg polymorphism in the ${\beta}_3$-adrenergic receptor gene was tested, this polymorphism was significantly associated with 3th lumber and left femoral neck Z-score values in controls (p<0.05), but these associations were not detected in athletic groups (p>0.05). It is likely that Trp64Arg polymorphism in the ${\beta}_3$-adrenergic receptor gene is a genetic marker for the bone mineral density index in young men, but environmental factors such as exercise modify the significant effect of this polymorphism. Thus, our results suggest that Trp64Arg polymorphism in the ${\beta}_3$-adrenergic receptor gene may be applicable as a predictive marker for osteoporosis in Korean young men, and regular exercise may prevent the disadventageous effect of this polymorphism for bone mineral density in male athletic group.

Blood pressure, obesity and bone mineral density are multifactorial traits influenced by genetic and environmental factors. The purpose of this study was to clarify the associations among three genetic polymorphisms in the ER-α gene and several clinical phenotypes in college athletes and major students in physical education. Seventy two healthy young men including 34 athletes and 38 controls were recruited in the sudy. Pheripheral blood samples were collected from each individuals and total genomic DNA were isolated from buffy coat Experiments were performed by anthropometric and genetic nalyses. Statistical analysis were carried out using unpaired t-test or one-way ANOVA test for quantitative data such as anthropometrical and biochemical parameters, and x2-test for categorical data such as genotype and allele distributions. The results were produced as follows. Firstly, for PouII RFLP in 5-UTR of ER-α gene, this site was monomorphic in our subjects, and further analysis could not performed. Secondly, in the case of PoaII RFLP in the intron 1 of this gene, this polymorphism was significantly associated with SBP and DBP values in controls (p<.05). Therefore, this polymorphism might be useful as a genetic marker for inter-individual susceptibility in blood pressure regulation. Lastly, XbaI RFLP in the intron 1 of this gene was significantly associated with SBP, DBP, height, weight, BMR and spinal BMC values in young men (p<.05). Therefore, it is likely that this polymorphism is useful as a predictive marker for inter-individual susceptibility to several clinical phenotypes such as blood pressure, obesity and bone mineral density in korean college athletes and major students in physical education.
PPAR-γ₂ 유전자의 Pro12Ala 다형성에 따른 복합운동 프로그램이 비만인 중년여성의 신체조성, 체력 및 혈중 생화학적 변인의 변화양상에 미치는 효과

The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of combined exercise program during weeks on the body composition, physical fitness and blood biochemical parameters according to the Pro12Ala polymorphism in the PPAR-γ2 gene in obese middle-aged women. A total of 34 participants were recruited in this study, and they performed combined exercise during weeks. Polymerase chain reaction(PCR)-and BstUI restriction fragment length polymorphism(RFLP) analysis was performed to analyze the Pro12Ala polymorphism in the PPAR-γ2 gene. Combined exercise program indicated the beneficial effects on the body composition, physical fitness and blood lipid profile and glucose metabolism of the subjects(p<.05). The genotype distribution of the Pro12Ala polymorphism in the PPAR-γ2 gene were 85.3% for Pro12Pro genotype, and 14.7% for Pro12Ala genotype, respectively, and observed genotype frequencies were in Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium. However, this polymorphism was not significantly associated with any clinical parameters studied, and the significant differences between two genotypes were not observed in the changes of any metabolic parameters following combined exercise. Although, combined exercise program indicated the health-promoting effects on the mitigation of lifestyle-related disease such as obesity and non-insulin dependent diabetes mellitus(NIDDM) for the subjects, the Pro12Ala polymorphism in the PPAR-γ2 gene may not significantly contribute to the inter-individual differences on the clinical effects by combined exercise program. Further studies using larger smaple size and other candidate genes will be needed.
유도선수의 미토콘드리아 DNA 3316G/A 다형성이 철분대사 변인에 미치는 영향

Mitochondria includes the circular DNA molecules, and the genes in the mitochondrial DNA(mtDNA) are those of the candidates associated with iron metabolism . In this study, we examined the distribution of the 3316G/A polymorphism in the mtDNA between normal controls and judo players, respectively, and compared the influence of this polymorphism on iron metabolism in the both groups. Blood iron parameters were assayed by automatic analyzer, and the 3316G/A polymorphism in the mtDNA analyzed by polymerase chain reaction(PCR) and HaeIII restriction fragment length polymorphism(RFLP) methods. With respect to iron parameters, there were significant differences in several iron parameters between two groups(p<.05). Especially, judo players indicated significantly lower red blood cell(RBC) count, hematocrit, serum iron and transferrin levels compared with normal controls, respectively. Also the A allele of the 3316G/A polymorphism in the mtDNA was only observed in judo players , and this allele significantly associated with serum haptoglobin level in this group(p<.05). Reasonable mechanism for the this association will be identified through further studies.

Objective: This research aims to analyze the occupational deaths and violation of the Korean taxi drivers and to find out the effect of factors for recommendations on injury prevention. Background: Although there are many studies on traffic accidents, there are few studies on taxis, which are the main means of transportation. Moreover, There is little research on the industrial accidents of taxi drivers. Method: The data of 586 taxi drivers approved as industrial accidents compensation of years 2015 and 2016 were analyzed. Significant variables explaining deaths and violation were identified by binary logistic regression. Results: Drivers aged 65 or older are more likely to die from accidents than those under 65 (OR (odds ratio): 1.85, p =0.048). In addition, violations were more likely to lead to death than no-violation (OR: 1.94, p =0.046). Facial injuries were more likely to lead to death (OR: 2.38, p =0.003) and encephalorrhagia injuries were more likely to lead to death (OR: 3.82, p <0.001). Conclusion: In order to prevent accidents of the elderly drivers, it is necessary to reinforce safety education and to manage the driving license renewal cycles according to the ages. In addition, a system for integrated management of taxi transportation should be established to improve the working environment of older taxi drivers. Systematic approach is necessary to alert taxi drivers to the fatal consequences of traffic violations and to make them to comply with the traffic rules. Application: The effects of the significant variables on deaths and violations can be used as a guideline to develop systematic measures for prevention of accidents for the taxi drivers.

This present paper relates to a performance prediction of Automotive Immobilizer. Immobilizer"s intermittent malfunction has been caused by change of magnetic flux density because of unknown environmental factor regarding air, temperature or air gap. Additionally, most automakers can"t easily open their cylinder structure for immobilizer because of their business policy. That"s why, automotive suppliers cannot easily predict flux density for immobilizer. In order to check and solve this problem, flux density range for Immobilizer"s coil should be accurately measured or should be calculated by CAE. After measuring flux density for real products and calculating CAE model based on similar condition about real product, final analysis result was described to consider performance prediction for immobilizer.
