The purpose of this study was to analyze kinematic parameters on difficulty degree during travels motion in gymnastics the pommel horse. Ten elite H-university gymnastics players were participated in this study for the comparison. The 3D kinematic data were collected for each group during circle motion. Conclusion is as following. In motion time, saddle group was faster than pommel group. In lateral-medial and anterior-posterior displacement of COG, pommel group was larger than saddle group at event 3. In displacement of left hip joint, saddle group was more extended at event 1, 2. In displacement of right hip joint, pommel group was more extended at event 5. In displacement of left knee joint, saddle group was more extended at event 2. In displacement of right knee joint, saddle group was more extended at event 3. In displacement of left shoulder joint, pommel group was more extended at event 2, saddle group was more extended at event 3. In displacement of right shoulder joint, saddle group was more extended at event 1. In displacement of right elbow joint, saddle group was more extended at event 3.
운동선수의 베타3-아드레날린성 수용체 유전자의 Trp64Arg 다형성이 혈압, 신체조성 및 골밀도에 미치는 영향

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between Trp64Arg polymorphism in the ${\beta}_3$-adrenergic receptor gene and complex phenotypes such as blood pressure, body compositions and bone parameters in young men about 20 years, and to collect the fundamental data in designing the exercise program. Eighty healthy young men including 41 controls and 39 athletes were recruited, Trp64Arg polymorphism in the ${\beta}_3$-adrenergic receptor gene was genotyped by PCR-RFLP method. By association study, there were no significance in genotype and allele frequencies of Trp64Arg polymorphism in the ${\beta}_3$-adrenergic receptor gene between controls and athletes, respectively (p>0.05). When the relationship between physiological parameters and Trp64Arg polymorphism in the ${\beta}_3$-adrenergic receptor gene was tested, this polymorphism was significantly associated with 3th lumber and left femoral neck Z-score values in controls (p<0.05), but these associations were not detected in athletic groups (p>0.05). It is likely that Trp64Arg polymorphism in the ${\beta}_3$-adrenergic receptor gene is a genetic marker for the bone mineral density index in young men, but environmental factors such as exercise modify the significant effect of this polymorphism. Thus, our results suggest that Trp64Arg polymorphism in the ${\beta}_3$-adrenergic receptor gene may be applicable as a predictive marker for osteoporosis in Korean young men, and regular exercise may prevent the disadventageous effect of this polymorphism for bone mineral density in male athletic group.
TOYOTA 국제 체조대회 남자 체조선수 마루운동 기술 동향 연구

The purpose of this study was to investigate the technical trend through the analysis of item difficulties on eight floor exercise players participating in 2008 Toyota International gymnastics competitions, and following conclusion is drawn as follows. 1. The mean value of item difficulties performed by eight players is 10.63 ± 0.74. The element C was tried most frequently, and the element A was tried by three players of Germany and Columbia. 2. According to the analysis of item difficulties, only three players performed most lowest element A. In the case of element C, eight players performed totally 37 times, and this element is most popular among players. Among element D, eight players performed Any salto backwords with 5/2t technique, while five players performed Any salto fwd. with 2/1t technique. With respect to element E, total three kinds of techniques were performed by players. 3. Elements by connection were performed by six kinds of techniques. The three kinds of connections by C+C, D+B or B+D difficulties or two kinds of connections by C+C+C or B+D+B difficulties were performed. In conclusion, to obtain high scores in International competition, the abilities of players will be improved to be able to high quality of performance above C element.
한국인 남성 운동선수군에서 Osteocalcin 유전자의 C298T 다형성의 분포와 골밀도와의 관계

Osteocalcin is a vitamin K dependent and bone specific protein which plays an important role in the regulation of bone and calcium metabolism. In this study, we evaluated the relationship between the C298T polymorphism in the osteocalcin gene and bone mineral density (BMD) in Korean young men and their interaction with physical activity. BMDs of the femoral neck and lumbar spine were measured using dual energy X-ray absorptiometry, and the C298T polymorphism in the osteocalcin gene determined using polymerase chain reaction (PCR)-HindⅢ restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) method. We did not observe any significant differences in the femoral neck and lumbar spine BMDs across genotypes of this polymorphism in controls, athletes or combined groups, respectively (P>0.05). Therefore, our data suggest that the C298T polymorphism in the osteocalcin gene is not a suitable genetic marker for the susceptibility to BMD.
운동선수군의 혈청 TGF-β₁ 농도 및 유전자 다형성이 심혈관계 기능에 미치는 영향

The objective of this study was to test whether TGF-β1 gene polymorphism and its serum leve are related to cardiovascular function in our subjects including 34 athletes and 35 controls, respectively. Serum biochemical parameters including TGF-β1 level were assayed by automatic analyzer, and data on cardiac structure and function were measured by M-mode echocardiography, respectively. Genotyping of TGF-β1 gene polymorphism was also performed by SNaPshot method. Pearson correlation revealed the significant positive correlation between serum TGF-β1 level and HR(rest) value in controls, while there were significant negative correlation between TGF-β1 level and LV(mass), SV and CO values in athletes, respectively(p<.05). Also, TGF-β1 gene polymorphism was significantly associated with weight in controls, but with serum HDL-cholesterol level in athletes, respectively(p<.05). Further studies using larger sample size and other polymorphisms in TGF-β1 gene will be needed in order to clarify the influence of TGF-β1 gene on cardiovascular function.

The aim of this study was to classify and analyze the performance contents of horizontal bar item by each element on a total of fifty five gymnast above top 15, who participated in the 65th National Gymnastics Championship held in the gymnasium of Jecheon-si in Chungcheongbuk-do. They were classified by 3 groups including 15 high school, 15 universiy, and 15 adult gymnastics, and the following results were obtained. 1. Mean start values of study participants were 15.0 ± 0.7 in high school gymnasts, 15.4 ± 0.3 in university gymnasts and 15.9 ± 0.8 in adult gymnasts, respectively, obtaining most values in adult gymnasts. 2. With respect to the analysis of item difficulties, element A was performed 15 times by high school gymnasts, 10 times by university gymnasts, and 9 times by adult gymnasts, respectively. Elemet B was performed 43 times by high school gymnasts, 28 times by university gymnasts, and 29 times by adult gymnasts, respectively. Elemet C was performed 45 times by high school gymnasts, 53 times by university gymnasts, and 49 times by adult gymnasts, respectively. Element D was performed 29 times by high school gymnasts, 40 times by university gymnasts, and 64 times by adult gymnasts, respectively. Element E was performed one time by high school gymnasts, 5 times by university gymnasts, and 10 times (6.l%) by adult gymnasts, respectively. Element F was only performed 2 times by university gymnasts and adult gymnasts, while this element was not performed by high school gymnasts. Element G were not performed by any study participants. 3. With respect to the analysis by each group, "Flying giang swing bwd. with 1/1t (group Ⅰ)", "Endo with 1/1t. thr hdst. in el-grip (group Ⅲ)" and "Watanabe (group Ⅴ)" techniques were performed most frequently by adult gymnasts, "Tkatchev (group Ⅱ)" and "Double salto bwd. str. with 1/1t (group Ⅴ)" techniques were performed most frequently by high school gymnasts, and "E1-grip giant swing" technique was performed most frequently by university gymnasts, respectively.
