The present paper relates to a development of the Force Sensor, and more particularly, to a small displacement sensor for clamping force measurement, which includes a sensor module based on permanent magnet set and Linear Hall IC as electromagnetic elements for non-contact measuring of clamping force at EMB. After conducting actual experimentation utilized to exclusive Jig and FEM analysis, it is described to consider possibility for automotive application of Force Sensor at EMB based on the result of linearity error analysis.

The present paper relates to a development of the Gear Detection Sensor, and more particularly, to a rotary position sensor to detect gear shifting by rotation of control lever in automatic transmission, which includes a sensor module based on half ring shaped permanent magnet and linear Hall IC as electromagnetic elements for non-contact measuring for gear detection. After conducting actual experimentation using exclusive tester and magneto-static FEM analysis, it is described to consider possibility for automotive application at automatic transmission based on the result of total error analysis.

This present paper relates to a performance prediction of Automotive Immobilizer. Immobilizer"s intermittent malfunction has been caused by change of magnetic flux density because of unknown environmental factor regarding air, temperature or air gap. Additionally, most automakers can"t easily open their cylinder structure for immobilizer because of their business policy. That"s why, automotive suppliers cannot easily predict flux density for immobilizer. In order to check and solve this problem, flux density range for Immobilizer"s coil should be accurately measured or should be calculated by CAE. After measuring flux density for real products and calculating CAE model based on similar condition about real product, final analysis result was described to consider performance prediction for immobilizer.

The present paper relates to a study on automotive non-contacted torque sensor for MDPS or EPS, which includes Hall IC, circular permanent magnet and apparatus of magnetic shield using soft ferromagnetic material and is mounted to torsion bar connected steering column ? shaft assembly. Torque sensor can be promptly and precisely measured by change of magnetic field to loaded twist torque when a driver operates steering wheel and can be obtained better durability then contacted type such as using strain gauge or potentiometer.
