In order to investigate the pressure transient at the later phase of a large leak sodium-water reaction event in KALIMER(Korea Advanced Llquid MEtal Reactor), an experimental study has been carried out. The experiment was performed to simulate the long-term system transient response of a large leak sodium-water reaction event due to double ended guillotine failure of three tubes in a 1/10 scale-down mock-up test facility with sufficient considerations of the quasi-steady state features of the SWR event.

본 논문에서는 자동차를 자동으로 운전하기 위한 퍼지규칙의 설계를 다룬다. 제안된 퍼지규칙은 인간 숙련자의 경험적 지식을 바탕으로 설계되었으며, 서로 기능적으로 구분되어 있는 3개의 그룹으로 만들어져 있다. 본 논문에서 제안한 퍼지 규칙의 타당성을 확인하여 보기 위해 S자 형태의 커브길을 모델차량이 주행하는 것을 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션으로 시험해 본 결과, 도로의 중앙부를 따라 잘 빠져나감을 알 수 있었다. This paper presents fuzzy control rules of automatically driving a car. Fuzzy control rules proposed are designed by investigating human expert's experiences and composed of three groups whose functions are different. According to computer simulations which let a model car pass through a curve of S type, we can find validity of fuzzy control rules suggested.

The technology on the transmutation of nuclear waste has been developed to reduce the long-term risks during the storage of the spent nuclear fuels. It was studied on the fluorination of cerium oxide to investigate the preparation of the fuel for transmutation reactor. Cerium oxide was reacted with hydrogen fluoride - hydrogen mixed gas to produce zirconium fluoride in the monel tubular reactor. Cerium oxide powders were converted completely to cerium fluoride in 40minutes at 300℃ and in 25minutes at 500℃. Among the various gas - solid reaction models, the phase boundary controlled model was most suitable for the reaction, it was calculated from the model that 16 hours are required to fluorinate the cerium oxide of 10㎜ diameter.

Sodium bicarbonate, commercially available dry chemical powder was tested for the extinguishment of sodium fire. Sodium fire tests were performed on various scale to observe the powder extinguishant, sodium bicarbonate. It was found that sodium bicarbonate was more effective than any other extinguishants. As a result of experimental observation, the powder floated on top of sodium pool and covered effectively the surface of burning pool. None of substantial reaction was observed at the interface. And only small quantity of powder was required. Effect of particle size on extinguishment was found very great. The particle size range was very effective range up to approximately 40㎛ and relatively ineffective range above 50㎛ for the extinguishment of sodium fire.
