Purpose: Wound infection after an ileostomy reversal is a common problem. To reduce wound-related complications, pursestring skin closure was introduced as an alternative to conventional linear skin closure. This study is designed to compare wound infection rates and operative outcomes between linear and purse-string skin closure after a loop ileostomy reversal. Methods: Between December 2002 and October 2010, a total of 48 consecutive patients undergoing a loop ileostomy reversal were enrolled. Outcomes were compared between linear skin closure (group L, n = 30) and purse string closure (group P, n = 18). The operative technique for linear skin closure consisted of an elliptical incision around the stoma, with mobilization, and anastomosis of the ileum. The rectus fascia was repaired with interrupted sutures. Skin closure was performed with vertical mattress interrupted sutures. Purse-string skin closure consisted of a circumstomal incision around the ileostomy using the same procedures as used for the ileum. Fascial closure was identical to linear closure, but the circumstomal skin incision was approximated using a purse-string subcuticular suture (2-0 Polysorb). Results: Between group L and P, there were no differences of age, gender, body mass index, and American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) scores. Original indication for ileostomy was 23 cases of malignancy (76.7%) in group L, and 13 cases of malignancy (77.2%) in group P. The median time duration from ileostomy to reversal was 4.0 months (range, 0.6 to 55.7months) in group L and 4.1 months (range, 2.2 to 43.9 months) in group P. The median operative time was 103 minutes (range, 45 to 260 minutes) in group L and 100 minutes (range, 30 to 185 minutes) in group P. The median hospital stay was 11 days (range, 5 to 4 days) in group L and 7 days (range, 4 to 14 days) in group P (P < 0.001). Wound infection was found in 5 cases (16.7%) in group L and in one case (5.6%) in group L (P = 0.26). Conclusion: Based on this study, purse-string skin closure after a loop ileostomy reversal showed comparable outcomes,in terms of wound infection rates, to those of linear skin closure. Thus, purse-string skin closure could be a good alternative to the conventional linear closure.

This paper introduces the design of lane keeping support system that maintains vehicle control stability for tracking a desired travel path. This system is not a class of fully automated driving system but a class of system for reducing the driver's corrective steering effort. Moreover, since the driver holds steering wheel with such strong restraining force that there is no deviation of steering wheel angle in operating vehicle, the system in our study is designed on the basis of steering torque as the control input for providing some degree of freedom on the driver's steering behavior. This system consists of lateral position sensor (CCD camera unit), vehicle state sensors (steering wheel angle, yaw velocity and vehicle velocity), steering actuator (DC motor), display unit and main controller.

This paper introduces the dynamical modeling and parameter identification for the lane keeping system that can control vehicle handling and stability for tracking a desired travel path. In this paper, there is no feedback for estimating parameters from the performance of the closed-loop system but model parameter scheduling with parameters calculated at each operating velocities. The feasibility of the proposed vehicle dynamics model is confirmed with vehicle dynamics signals measured at actual driving conditions.

최근 IPv6의 도입에 있어서 중요한 과제인 IPv6-IPv4 프로토콜 변환기에 대한 연구 및 구현이 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 그러나 기존에 구현된 IPv6-IPv4 프로토콜 변환기는 운영 체제에 종속적인 소프트웨어로서, 소프트웨어 TCP/IP 자체가 가지는 오버헤드와 비효율적인 메모리 접근 방식으로 인하여 성능이 제한되는 문제점이 있다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위하여 성능 분석을 통해 고성능 IPv6-IPv4 프로토콜 변환기의 구현 방법에 대한 연구가 진행되었고, 이에 대한 결과로서 하드웨어 기반의 IPv6-IPv4 프로토콜 변환기인 64Translator가 제안되었다. 이러한 64Translator는 다양한 응용을 지원하기 위해 DNS와 FTP에 대한 응용 프로토콜 변환 모듈을 필요로 하는데, 이는 하나의 모듈로 통합되기 위해 하드웨어로 구현되어야 한다. 이에 본 논문에서는 DNS와 FTP에 대한 응용 프로토콜 변환 모듈을 하드웨어로 설계 및 구현하였고, 이를 64Translator에 통합하여 시뮬레이션과 시험망에서의 테스트를 수행함으로써 기능을 검증하였다.

KOWACO - ChangWon Branch - have conducted the new study which aimed to improve flocculation performance in Mixers. The Purposes in this study were increasing flocculation efficiency by finding significant factor which was affected flow characteristics. In the result of this research we modified the error in equation of G-value and RPM which have been used till quite recently. Also we developed program auto-calculating G-value and RPM and then we had made their statistical list. We had conducted experiment with flocculation Mixer's model sized 1/10 by PIV's method. We analysed characteristic of all flow fields by changing case such as changing direction of flocculator roatation etc.

IPv6의 도입을 위한 기술 연구가 활발하게 이루어지고 있는 가운데, IPv4 네트워크와 IPv4 네트워크가 혼재하는 환경에서 네트워크 간의 통신을 가능하게 하는 IPv6-IPv4 프로토콜 변환기에 대한 관심과 수요가 증가되고 있다. 이에 IETF에서는 여러 기법을 제안하였고, 그 중 일부는 소프트웨어로 구현되었다. 그러나 기존에 구현된 IPv6-IPv4 프로토콜 변환기는 운영체제를 탑재한 호스트 시스템에서 동작하는 것으로서, 네트워크 간의 모든 트래픽에 대한 변환을 수행해야 하므로 고성능이 요구된다. 이에 본 논문에서는 기존의 소프트웨어 IPv6-IPv4 프로토콜 변환기의 성능을 측정하였고, 성능 저하의 요인을 분석하였다. 또한 성능을 개선할 수 있는 방안을 제시하고, 이를 적용한 하드웨어 기반의 IPv6-IPv4 프로토콜 변환기인 64Translator를 제안하였다.

Due to the fact that fisheye lens can provide super wide angles with the minimum number of cameras, field-of-view over 180 degrees, many vehicles are attempting to mount the camera system. Not only use the camera as a viewing system, but also as a camera sensor, camera calibration should be preceded, and geometrical correction on the radial distortion is needed to provide the images for the driver's assistance. In this thesis, we introduce a geometric correction technique to minimize the loss of the image data from a vehicle fish-eye lens having a field of view over $180^{\circ}$, and a asymmetric distortion. Geometric correction is a process in which a camera model with a distortion model is established, and then a corrected view is generated after camera parameters are calculated through a calibration process. First, the FOV model to imitate a asymmetric distortion configuration is used as the distortion model. Then, we need to unify the axis ratio because a horizontal view of the vehicle fish-eye lens is asymmetrically wide for the driver, and estimate the parameters by applying a non-linear optimization algorithm. Finally, we create a corrected view by a backward mapping, and provide a function to optimize the ratio for the horizontal and vertical axes. This minimizes image data loss and improves the visual perception when the input image is undistorted through a perspective projection.
