        난소 절제술을 시행한 쥐와 정상 쥐에서 합성 골 재료의 이식 후 신생 골 생성 비교

        연구목적: 난소 절제술을 시행하여 골다공증을 재연한 쥐의 두개 결함부에 골 이식시 정상 쥐와 어떠한 골 재생 능력 차이를 보이는지 비교하고자 한다. 연구재료 및 방법: 20마리의 쥐를 2 그룹으로 각 10마리씩 나눈다. 그 중 10마리만 난소 절제술을 시행하고 7주 후 20마리 모두 두개골에 8 mm 직경의 임계 크기의 결함을 형성한 후 $OSTEON^{TM}$을 이식한다. 그 후 4주 후 모두 희생하여 조직학적 조각을 형성하여 방사선학적 및 조직형태학적 분석을 시행한다. 결과: Ovariectomy & $OSTEON^{TM}$군과 Non-Ovariectomy & $OSTEON^{TM}$군과의 신생골 형성 넓이의 효과 검증 결과, Ovariectomy & $OSTEON^{TM}$군은 평균 넓이는 19660.93 ${\pm}$ 17207.68 ${\mu}m$으로 Non-Ovariectomy & $OSTEON^{TM}$군의 69793.57 ${\pm}$ 33227.17 ${\mu}m$에 비해 적어진 것으로 나타났으며, 이러한 차이는 통계적으로도 유의한 것으로 나타났다 (t = -4.237, P < .01). 따라서 Ovariectomy & $OSTEON^{TM}$군의 new bone formation 넓이가 Non-Ovariectomy & $OSTEON^{TM}$군에 비해 작아진 것을 알 수 있다. Ovariectomy & $OSTEON^{TM}$ 군과 Non-Ovariectomy & $OSTEON^{TM}$ 군과의 알칼리 포스파타아제의 효과 검증 결과, Ovariectomy & $OSTEON^{TM}$군은 ALP는 평균 163.90 ${\pm}$ 61.44 IU/L으로 Non-Ovariectomy & $OSTEON^{TM}$군의 58.40 ${\pm}$ 18.30 IU/L에 비해 크게 높아진 것으로 나타났으며, 이러한 차이는 통계적으로도 유의한 것으로 나타났다 (t = 5.204, P < .001). 따라서 Ovariectomy & $OSTEON^{TM}$군의 ALP 수치가 Non-Ovariectomy & $OSTEON^{TM}$군 ALP 수치보다 높아진 것을 알 수 있다. 결론: 본 실험을 통해 골다공증이 유발되면 골 재생능력이 감소한다는 것을 결론지을 수 있다. Purpose of study: To compare on bone formation between ovariectomized rats and normal rats after graft of alloplastic bone material. Material and methods: Twenty female rats were used in this study. They were divided into two groups by each ten rats. One group was ovariectomized and grafted alloplastic bone material. Other group was non-ovariectomized and grafted alloplastic bone material. After a healing time of 4 weeks, the animals were sacrificed and decalcified preparations were routinely processed for histologic evaluations. Results: Ovariectomy group was significantly lesser bone formation compared with non-ovariectomy group. Conclusions: Ovariectomy acts as a negative factor in new bone formation.

        분포형 광섬유센서와 변형률 모드를 이용한 구조물의 손상탐지기법

        A damage detection method using natural frequency and strain mode shape calculated from dynamic strain date obtained by distributed fiber optic sensor is presented. An analytical model for cracked beam is used to calculate the natural frequency and strain mode shape for damaged beam, and damage location and severity are estimated based on neural network technique using the measured natural frequency and strain mode shape. An experimental study was carried out on a cracked cantilever beam to verify the present method for damage identification. The cracks were inflicted on the beam and free vibration tests were performed for the dynamic strain data from the distributed fiber optic sensor. The damage estimation was carried out and it has been found that the identified damage locations and severities agree reasonably well with the inflicted damages on the structure.

        $Bio-pin^{(R)}$을 이용한 고정성 보철물의 탈락저항강도의 비교연구

        Statement of problem. The current trend in prosthodontics is the adoption of a conservative approach to preparing dental prostheses by minimizing the amount of sound tooth structure removal during preparation. Purpose. The major disadvantage of the adhesion bridge is the inherently poor resistance to dislodgement that its use in areas subjected to high occlusal load is limited. The purpose of this study was to compare the dislodgement resistance of $Bio-pin^{(R)}$, conventional 3-unit and adhesion bridges. Material and methods. The experimental groups were classified as follows : Group I : 3-unit bridge cemented using $Super-Bond^{(R)}$ C&B Group II : Adhesion bridge cemented using $Super-Bond^{(R)}$ C&B Group III : $Bio-pin^{(R)}$ design adhesion bridge without incorporation of $Bio-pin^{(R)}$ (cemented using $Super-Bond^{(R)}$ C&B) Group IV-1 : $Bio-pin^{(R)}$ retained adhesion bridge incorporating a single $Bio-pin^{(R)}$ (cemented using $Super-Bond^{(R)}$ C&B) Group IV-2 : $Bio-pin^{(R)}$ retained adhesion bridge incorporating a single $Bio-pin^{(R)}$ (cemented using $Panavia^{(R)}$ F) Group V : $Bio-pin^{(R)}$ retained adhesion bridge incorporating two $Bio-pins^{(R)}$ (cemented using $Super-Bond^{(R)}$ C&B) Results. The results of this study were as follows : 1. Significant differences in dislodgement resistance of the restorations were found between Group I, Group II and Group III (p<0.05). No significant differences in dislodgement resistance of the restorations were observed between Group I Group IV-1 and Group V. However, there were significant differences in dislodgement resistance between Group II and the other groups (p<0.05). 2. No significant differences in dislodgement resistance of the restorations were observed between GroupIV-1 and GroupIV-2, both of which utilized a single $Bio-pin^{(R)}$. However, significant differences were observed when Group III was compared to either GroupIV-1 or Group V (p<0.05). 3. No significant differences in dislodgement resistance relative to the type of dental cements used were found. Conclusion. From the above results, it is concluded that the dislodgement resistance of $Bio-pin^{(R)}$ bridge restorations utilizing a single $Bio-pin^{(R)}$ is similar to that of a conventional 3-unit bridge. The results also suggest that $Bio-pin^{(R)}$ bridge restorations using a single $Bio-pin^{(R)}$ are a viable alternative to the conventional 3-unit bridge when minimal removal of sound tooth structure and fulfillment of both function and esthetic aspects are considered.

        교모세포종 U-251MG, U-373MG세포주의 Cytokines처리에 의한 세포내 ICAM-1 발현

        Objective : Despite advances in the understanding of tumor biology and the tumor immunology, there has been no effective treatment. The Intercellular adhesion molecule-1(ICAM-1) has been shown to be important in interaction involving cells of the immune system and to be upregulated in a number of cell culture systems by cytokines, including immune interferon($IFN-{\gamma}$) and tumor necrosis $factor-{\alpha}$($TNF-{\alpha}$). ICAM-1 has been identified as one of the ligands for lymphocyte function-associated antigen-1(LFA-1). The effectiveness of various cytokines to ICAM-1 induction on cultured human glioblastoma cell lines and potential efficacy of immunotherapy were studied. Method : Human glioblastoma cell lines, U-251 MG, U-373 MG were trypsinized and suspended at $1{\times}10^5cells/ml$ and grown on 8 well chamber slide, the cells were incubated in 0.3ml medium alone or medium containing $IFN-{\gamma}$(1000U/ml) or $TNF-{\alpha}$(250U/ml) or $IFN-{\gamma}$ plus $TNF-{\alpha}$ for 6, 12, 24, 48 and 72 hours. The coverslip were then removed and stained with a 1/30 dilution of anti-ICAM-1 antibody. Result : Surface antigen expression of ICAM-1 was increased by incubating glioblastoma cell lines with $IFN-{\gamma}$ and $TNF-{\alpha}$. Combined effect of $IFN-{\gamma}$ and $TNF-{\alpha}$ has induced more ICAM-1 expression on glioblastoma cell lines. Upregulation of ICAM-1 expression in an established glioblastoma cell line was of greater magnitude and more rapid following incubation with $IFN-{\gamma}$ plus $TNF-{\alpha}$. Surface antigen expression of ICAM-1 was increased for up to 48 hours after cytokine treatment on both cell lines(p<0.05). There was no difference on both cell lines(p>0.05). Conclusion : The results of the present study indicate that ICAM-1 expression in glioblastoma cell lines, U-251 MG and U-373 MG, are induced and enhanced after treatment with $IFN-{\gamma}$ and $TNF-{\alpha}$. Combined effect of $IFN-{\alpha}$ and $TNF-{\gamma}$ is stronger and more rapid than $IFN-{\gamma}$ or $TNF-{\alpha}$ alone.

        테이퍼 원형강관 캔틸레버 보의 결함탐지기법

        A crack identification method using an equivalent bending stiffness for cracked beam and committee of neural networks is presented. Modal properties of tapered cantilever pipe-type beam is identified by applying the boundary conditions to a general solution for tapered beam. A bending stiffness for cracked beam based on an energy method is used to identify natural frequencies and mode shapes of tapered cantilever thin-walled pipe, which has a through-the-thickness crack, subjected to bending. The identified modal properties of the cracked beam are used in constructing training patterns of neural networks. Then crack location and size are identified using a committee of the neural networks. Crack detection was carried out for an example beam using the proposed method, and the identified crack locations and sizes agree reasonably well with the exact values.

      • 온실용 이중피복 및 보온재의 관류열전달계수 산정을 위한 수치적 연구

        본 연구는 온실용 피복재 및 보온재의 조합에 대한 시뮬레이션 해석모델을 개발하여 관류열전달계수를 산정하고 측정된 결과와 비교하여 타당성을 평가하기 위해 수행되었으며 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 유리이중피복의 경우 이중피복 사이의 공기층이 두꺼워짐에 따라 관류열전달계수가 서서히 작아져서 공기층 두께가 25 mm 이상이 되면 관류열전달계수의 변화가 거의 없는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 온도차가 증가함에 따라 관류열전달계수도 증가하는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 두 플라스틱 피복재 사이에는 대류에 의한 열전달이 활발하게 일어나기 때문에 비정상 유동에 의한 열전달이 발생하고 이로 인해 온도분포도 비선형적으로 변하는 것으로 사료된다. 플라스틱 피복재 및 보온재들의 간격이 50~200 mm범위에서 변화할 때에 피복재의 간격은 관류열전달계수 큰 영향을 미치지 않는다는 사실을 확인할 수 있었다. 천공복사를 고려한 경우와 고려하지 않은 경우 모두 핫박스의 내외부 온도차가 $30^{\circ}C$인 조건에 대해서는 수치해석결과와 실험결과가 대체로 잘 일치하였다. 따라서 핫박스의 내외부 온도차가 $30^{\circ}C$ 이상인 조건에서 수치해석을 통해 관류열전달계수를 산정한다면 신뢰성 있는 값을 얻을 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. This study calculated the overall heat transfer coefficient (U-value) of greenhouse covering materials with thermal screens using a simulation model and then estimated the validity of the calculated results by comparison with measured values. The U-value decreased gradually as the thickness of the air space between the double glazing increased, and then remained essentially constant at thicknesses exceeding 25 mm. The U-value also increased with the difference in temperature between the inside and outside of the hot box. The vigorous convective heat transfer between two plastic films caused unsteady heat flow and then created a nonlinear temperature distribution in the air space. The distance did not affect the U-value at distances of 50~200 mm between the plastic covering and thermal curtain. The numerical calculation results, with and without sky radiation, were in accord with the experimental results for a $30^{\circ}C$ temperature difference between the inside and outside of the hot box. In conclusion, a reliable U-value can be calculated for a temperature difference of $30^{\circ}C$ or more between the inside and outside of the hot box.

        웹 페이지 구조 분석을 통한 효과적인 동영상 검색용 키워드 추출 방법

        본 논문에서는 웹 동영상 페이지의 구조를 바탕으로 하여, 웹 동영상의 관리 및 검색을 위한 주석용 키워드를 자동 추출하는 방법을 제안한다. 제안 방법은 웹 동영상 페이지의 구조를 포함된 동영상의 개수와 주변 텍스트 구성의 복잡도를 기준으로 4가지 타입으로 구분하고, 타입 별로 키워드를 추출하는 방법을 달리한다. 1,087개의 웹 동영상 페이지(2,462개의 동영상)를 바탕으로 실험한 결과에 의하면 본 논문에서 제안하는 방법은 기존 웹 이미지 검색 시스템을 위한 추출 방법보다 재현율 면에서 18%의 성능 향상을 보였다. 따라서 논문에서 제안하는 방법은 일반적인 웹 동영상 검색 시스템을 위한 키워드 추출에 널리 적용 될 수 있다. This paper proposes an effective keyword extraction method for the Web videos. The proposed method classifies the Web video pages in one of 4 types. As such, we analyzed the structure of the Web pages based on the number of videos and the layout of the Web pages. And then we applied the keyword extraction algorithm fit to each page type. The experiment with 1,087 Web pages that have total 2,462 videos showed that the recall of the proposed extraction method is 18% higher than ImagerRover[2]. So, the proposed method could be used to build a powerful video search system for WWW.
