Micro fabrication of biochip such like lab-on-a-chip becomes increasingly important. In this study, we designed and manufactured of new molds which were main factors for forming process in order to mass produce of biochip using forming process. Forming analysis of biochip was performed by Moldflow software. Results of this study are able to design and manufacture the mold which can be easy to eject the workpiece by using the slide mechanism for biochip.

This paper deals with efficiency characteristics analysis of wind power generator with outer permanent magnet rotor according to load condition. The analyzed results are compared with experimental results, and it demonstrates the validity of the proposed analysis method. From the derived analysis results, this paper suggests the necessity of performance analysis considering load conditions for the initial design of PM generator.

This paper deals with the electromagnetic performance evaluation of 1.5㎾ class synchronous generator with outer PM rotor for small-scale wind power system based on analytical solutions. This wind power generator has slotless stator for the reduction of vibration and acoustic noise through minimization of magnetic cogging torque and outer PM rotor with pole arc/pole pitch ratio, about 0.7, for the back-EMF with low total harmonic distortion. In order to evaluate electromagnetic performance, this paper proposes the various analytical techniques, such as the electromagnetic transfer relations theorem for magnetic field distribution analysis and electrical parameters calculation, and equivalent circuit method for dynamic generating characteristic analysis.

Recently, many types of micro-chip have been developed with the help of lab-on-a-chip technology. One of the chips is a bio-chip, which should be made at low price and needs mass production for commercial use. Currently, micro-pattern of a bio-chip is fabricated in many ways (PDMS casting, etching, hot embossing, injection molding, etc). Among those the injection molding is the most adequate method for mass production. In the present study, the mold for injection molding was designed and fabricated for specific bio-chip. Two types of runner(curved type, straight type) were applied for flow stability. Also, a sliding mechanism was applied for a new ejection process in moving part of the mold. As a result, no ejector pins were required in demolding. Also, CAE results were used for the optimal processing condition.
