Mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma predominantly involves the gastrointestinal tract, with the stomach being the most commonly affected site. Colonic involvement is quite rare. Hence, the etiology, clinical characteristics, treatment, and outcome of colonic MALT lymphoma are not well established. This paper reports a case of MALT lymphoma of the transverse colon, presenting as a subepithelial tumor in a 50-year-old woman. The patient received 3,060 cGy in 17 fractions with external beam radiation therapy for three weeks. At 2 months after radiation therapy, a colonoscopy examination revealed complete resolution and a scar change of the lesion. The follow-up at 24 months revealed no evidence of tumor recurrence after radiation therapy. (Korean J Gastroenterol 2020;76:327-330)

Background/Aims: The success rate of endoscopic variceal ligation (EVL) is about 85-94%. There is only a few studies attempting to determine the cause of EVL failure, and to date, on-site rescue treatments remains unestablished. This study aimed to elucidate the risk factors for EVL failure and the effectiveness of on-site rescue treatment. Methods: Data of 454 patients who underwent emergency EVL at Chonnam National University Hospital were retrospectively analyzed. Enrolled patients were divided into two groups: the EVL success and EVL failure groups. EVL failures were defined as inability to ligate the varices due to poor endoscopic visual field, or failure of hemostasis after band ligation for the culprit lesion. Results: Forty-seven patients experienced EVL failure. In the multivariate analysis, male patients, initial hypovolemic shock, active bleeding on endoscopy, and history of previous EVL were independent risk factors for EVL failure. During endoscopic procedure, we came across the common causes of EVL failure, including unsuctioned varix due to previous EVL-induced scars followed by insufficient ligation of the stigmata and inability to ligate the varix due to poor endoscopic visual field. Endoscopic variceal obturation using N-butyl- 2-cyanoacrylate (48.9%) was the most commonly used on-site rescue treatment method, followed by insertion of Sangstaken Blakemore tube (14.9%), and EVL retrial (12.8%). The rescue treatments successfully achieved hemostasis in 91.7% of those in the EVL failure group. Conclusions: The risk factors of EVL failure should be considered before performing EVL, and in case of such scenario, on-site rescue treatment is needed. (Korean J Gastroenterol 2018;72:188-196)

버섯재배부산물 주원료 silage가 육성기 미경산한우의 채식, 반추 및 배뇨 행동에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 기존 조사료원인 볏짚을 버섯재배부산물 주원료 silage(이하 ‘부산물사일레지’)로의 대체급여가 육성기 미경산한우의 행동에 미치는 영향을 평가하기 위하여 실시하였다. 미경산한우 12두(평균 13.2개월령, 315kg)를 공시하여 칸 당 4두씩 체중을 고려하여 임의 배치하였다. 조사료원으로 볏짚급여구는 배합사료를 제한급여, 볏짚을 자유채식 시켰으며, 볏짚-부산물사일레지급여구는 배합사료를 제한급여, 볏짚과 부산물사일레지를 자유채식 시켰다. 부산물사일레지급여구는 배합사료를 제한급여, 부산물사일레지를 자유채식 시켰다. Camcord를 이용하여 5일간 행동을 녹화한 후 분석에 이용하였다. 볏짚급여구와 비교해서, 부산물사일레지급여구는 건물 섭취량이 21.7% 많았고, 채식시간, 반추시간 및 저작시간은 짧았으며, 휴식시간은 길었다(p<0.05). 모든 처리구의 음수, 배뇨 그리고 배분 빈도가 비슷하였으나, 부산물사일레지급여구의 채식율, 반추효율 그리고 저작효율이 볏짚급여구보다 높았다(p<0.05). 부산물사일레지급여구와 비교해서, 볏짚-부산물사일레지급여구는 peNDF8.0섭취량이 많았고(15.2% vs. 25.0% 건물섭취량), 채식시간과 휴식시간이 길었고, 배변빈도는 낮았으며(p<0.05), 반추효율은 비슷하였다. 결과적으로, 기존 볏짚을 전량 부산물사일레지로 대체하는 것은 육성기 미경산한우의 반추와 저작활동을 감소시켰으며, 부산물사일레지와 입자가 긴 볏짚을 함께 급여하는 것이 미경산한우의 행동을 개선하는 효과적인 방법이었다. 연구결과는 값싼 버섯재배부산물 주원료의 국산 양질발효조사료로 한우 행동에 별다른 영향 없이 기존의 조사료원인 볏짚을 부분적으로 대체할 수 있음을 시사하고 있다.

五倫에 대한 現代的 照明

All the thoughts have their respective roots of the schools. The root of "five major human an relationships" is also owing to the theory of Chou-Goong. The thought "Decree of Heaven" of Ghou Goong is evolved into the fraternity thought of Confucius and further incorporated profoundly into the practical ethics of "five major human relationships by Mencius". In the sense, Confuciansim is originally meaning the practical philosphy for the realization of the universe orders m this world. So far human ethics is just reflecting the universe orders. Such a Confucianism has regulated the basic relat relationships among peoples concretely in the forms of three Kang and "Five major human relationships". And having it been playing a role as social and political ideology, this contributed to integrate the social force into the unitary society. Especiallly the scholars of Lee dynasty emphasize on the metaphysical aspects rather than its practical aspects of the Confucianism. This attitudes and approuches toward the interpretaticn of Confucianism also contributed to consolidating the society on the echelon of social hierarchy and transforming the social ethics into ignoring the values of productive activities of middle class of the society. Under these circumstances, the Confucianism of ism of lee dynasty had Hot contributed to inspiring the sound ethics of professional calling and establisling the structure of social roles. On the contrary, Japanese had introduced the Confucianism and transformed it into their own practical ways ; Namely encouraging the social productive activities and institutionalizing these activities into the structure of collective roles. This attitude and interpretation of Confucianism by the Japanese has elaborated the sense of peculiar ethics about the calling of peoples and has been resulted in the economic prosperity of modern Japan. In the conclusion, the traditional value of Confucianism in Korea is required to be newly interpreted and translated under the context of its positiv social role.

中國人의 유토피아思想 硏究

The Utopian ideals in Europ were originally conceived for the improvement of social system and a new social relationship of the human. The Chinese people, however, considered these ideals to be a reconcilliation with the Nature and a pastoral life far from the securities to enjoy loving in the nature. Some ideals for the human relationship and the social structure, of course, had been suggested in "The Great One World" (大同世) of " The Book of Rites" (禮記) Nevertheless, most of the idal concepts for the Chinese people have tended to be a calm and peaceful form of life with the Nature. Since the modern Age, some physical sciences have conquered the Nature under the name of the improvement of human happiness through industrial development. The severe greediness and self-centeredness of man had finally come to the destruction of Nature and demolition of natural order. Ironically, man has tried to improve his environment only to have his own life threatened. This paper has tried to figure out some alternatives for this crisis. With a special reference to the chinese concepts of Utopia, this paper has analyzed the simple, postoral, domestic quality as the ideals of the Chinese Utopia.

인간의 공격적 본능에 관한 연구 : Freud와 Lorenz를 중심으로

The core of Freud's theory lies in that Id of the unconsciousness controls life instinct of human beings. the term Id consists of Eros which is representing both sexual pleasure and preservation of man's life and thantos which is distructive and aggressive death instincts, Human behavior thus governed by this two instincts in its root. This theory of Id coined by Freud got some criticism as an theory that could be abused as a material for the defence in social discipline, goverining and supression the society. However, Freud insists that the social value of the repression and the satisfaction should be accepted and more over, agued that not only thye suppression of the human instinctive desire but also the fullfilment of i tcould lead as to civilization. After all to emphasize the realm of Uncosciousness where Libido is active in the depths of mind, it minimizing the reason into a trifle one. Thus in this article, itis examined that whether the Freud's theory of unconsionusness that is Id could justify minimizing the reason and the oppression of society. 2. The key idea of Lorenz's innate aggression is that human aggression can not be got rid of throught education, traing or parification as it is an innate hostility instinet. This theory, therefore, prescribes man is a cruel animal.Lorenz draws his conclusions from his paradigmes which are mde of his observation of animal behaviors. His paradigm is used to explain that the orgin of human instinct of aggression can befond in animal behavior. And lorenx argues that man hs innate instinct to attack his own tribes due to the lack of the mechanism to control his aggression instinct in his nature. According to lorenz, his conclusions and hypothses can explain the causes of human conflicts and war. If aggression is an innate instinct of man, however, there seems to be no hope for human beings. Lorenz'S theory supposes human struggle is an inevitable instinct which gives on way to prevent human conflicts. Lorenz's theory of innate aggression can be adopted to support for social Darwinism of imperialism or the survival of the fittest. Therefore, lorenz's theory has some danger for human values and his future vision.
