Purpose: To research the advantage of using calcium plaque scissors in conjunctival flap surgery for calcified scleromalacia after cosmetic conjunctivectomy. Methods: We analyzed 55 eyes that had undergone conjunctival flap surgery for calcified scleromalacia occurring after cosmetic conjunctivectomy. Surgical blade was used in 30 eyes (Group 1) and calcium plaque scissors in 25 eyes (Group 2). Time after conjunctivectomy, plaque size, operation time and visual acuity before and after the flap surgery were analyzed and compared. Additionally, necessity of additional scleral surgery was evaluated. Optical coherence tomography (OCT) of the sclera was performed both pre- and postoperatively and the results were compared.Results: An average of 3.9 ± 1.0 years elapsed until conjunctival flap surgery and follow-up time was 5.2 ± 3.8 months. Post conjunctivectomy time and plaque size were similar in both groups (<EM>p </EM>= 0.87 and 0.49, respectively). The surgery time in Group 2 was shorter than in Group 1 (17.5 ± 6.3 minutes and 21.9 ± 8.5 minutes, respectively, <EM>p</EM> = 0.20). Uncorrected visual acuity was similar in both groups before and after conjunctival flap surgery (<EM>p</EM> = 0.53 and <EM>p</EM> = 0.20, respectively). In Group 1, one sclera transplantation and three Ologena™ insertion surgeries were performed as an additional scleral surgery. Based on OCT, calcium plaque scissors were confirmed as a new surgical tool for calcium plaque removal with minimal scleral damage. Conclusions: Using calcium plaque scissors when performing conjunctival flap surgery for calcium plaque removal that occurred after cosmetic conjunctivectomy reduces the necessity of an additional scleral surgery and surgery time. A case of honey cyst (cystic hygroma) occurring in a 3 year-old German Shepherd (♂) of ROKAF sentry dog was reported. The cyst was easily removed surgically. Grossly, it was located in sternohyoid muscle and measured $7{\times}8cm$ in diameter.

본 논문에서는 임베디드 시스템 기반 NXT 로봇을 제어하여 길찾기, 미로찾기, 장애물오르기 등의 주행을 수행하는 프로그램을 개발하는 것이다. 미로 찾기는 RBG 센서를 통해 트랙의 색을 구분하여 정해진 색을 따라 주행하는 하는 것이며, 장애물 미로구간에서는 NXT 로봇 자신이 장애물을 넘지 못한다는 것을 인식하여 미로를 찾아 빠져나가도록 초음파 센서를 이용한다. 초음파 센서로 자신이 통과할 수 있는 진입로로 판단되면 주행을 계속하며, 그렇지 않은 경우에는 좌우회전을 통해 미로구간을 통과한다. 마지막 계단식 장애물 구간에서는 접촉센서와 초음파 센서를 통해서 물체의 높이를 가늠하여, 접촉센서 값과 초음파 센서 값을 통해 프로그램은 통과 여부와 계단높이를 판단한다. 실험결과 로봇은 제어프로그램 시나리오에 따라 적절하게 수행함을 확인할 수 있었으며, 이와 같은 로봇 제어를 확대하면 사람을 대신하는 재난구조 활동, 전쟁시 지뢰탐지 및 적 정찰활동, 지하공동구 및 지하매설물 안전 점검활동 등을 수행하는 업무로 적용이 가능할 것으로 판단된다. 본 연구에서 사용한 로봇은 I-Brick이라는 마이크로프로세서를 통해 프로그램을 구동되며, 저 전력으로 I-Brick과 그와 연결된 센서와 서브 모터 등을 구동하고 제어하도록 설계하였다.

Numerical model on precast prestressed concrete (PC) hollowcore slabs using 11.3 mm diameter 7-wire stand was developed based on finite element analysis. In order to validate the modelling, previous experiment results with respect to prestressed solid concrete slabs were used and compared throughout the course of fire exposure. In addition to, the fire performance of hollowcore slabs with different aggregate types, moisture contents and compressive strength of concrete was investigated. As a result, it can be seen that the type of aggregates and moisture contents used in hollowcore slabs can affect the fire performance as well as temperature developments.
국내 백내장 수술 현황과 향후 전망: 국민건강 영양 조사자료

Purpose: To identify socio-demographic factors in cataract surgery in Korea and expect future effect of the bundle of service system. Methods: We analyzed the number of people undergoing cataract surgery and associated factors such as surgery ratio, region, age, income, and insurance status of 28,980 patients older than 40 years using data from the fifth Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey 2008-2012 (KNHANES). Results: Among total population in 2012, 47.5% of elderly aged 80 years and older have received cataract surgery. According to region in patients older than 40, Jeollanam-do showed the highest proportion of patients undergoing cataract surgery, at 12%, Daejeon showed the lowest proportion of 3.6%, and Seoul showed 6.8%. Regional analysis was also performed by analyzing the number of cataract patients per ophthalmologist. Jeollanam-do showed the highest with 40,115 patients per ophthalmologist, and Seoul showed the least with 1,094 patients per ophthalmologist. The sociodemographic factors such as education or income, were not associated with cataract surgery after adjusting for age and regional difference. On the other hand, subjects with medicaid were associated with 1.6-fold (95% confidence interval, 1.3-2.0) higher rate of cataract surgery than subjects with national health insurance. Conclusions: Regional disparity was found in the cataract surgery rate and surgery rate per an ophthalmologists, whereas sociodemographic factors were not significant in receiving benefits of cataract surgery. Before the amount of bundled payment is changing, down-leveling of quality of care and deepening of disparities among health care provider should be considered.J Korean Ophthalmol Soc 2014;55(12):1772-1778
에너지 수준별 조섬유 함량이 육성비육돈의 발육 및 도체에 미치는 영향

An experiment in volving 63 crossbred gilts was conducted to determine the interactive effects of energy (3.0, 3.2 and 3.4 Mcal digeszible energy/㎏) and crude fiber (5.7 and 9%) on the performance, carcass characteristics and gastro-intestinal weight of growing-finishing swine. As digestible energy increased, there were significant differences (p$lt;0.01) in daily gains. There were no significant differences in gains due to level of crude fiber. Daily feed intake and feed per ㎏ gain was reduced with increasing energy levels. However, there were not apparent differences by increasing fiber level. In carcass traits including dressing percentage, backfat and organ weight were found significant interactions (p$lt;0.01) between energy and fiber level. The results suggest that fiber level up to the nine percentage at constant energy level had no effect on rate of gain, feed per ㎏ gain, carcass traits and gastrointestinal tract weight.
