Purpose: The aim of this project is to report the successful removal of a free-floating pigmented iris cyst in a patient’s anterior chamber, which was causing visual disturbance. Case summary: A 27-year-old man visited our hospital because of an intermittent visual disturbance in his right eye developed two months prior to admission. There was no history of ocular trauma, surgery, inflammation, or a general medical problem. On slit lamp examination, we found a free-floating translucent pigmented iris cyst, which was ovoid in shape and about 3 mm in size in the right eye near the pupil margin. Moving in the anterior chamber, the cyst caused visual disturbance because it partly covered the pupil. It was also near the endothelium. Through the clear cornea incision, the iris cyst was removed successfully. From histopathologic investigation of the cyst, the tissue was found to consist of mature pigment epithelium, including pigment granules Conclusions: A free-floating pigmented iris cyst in the anterior chamber generally does not result in any complications and maintains its condition stably without changing in size. Hence, as long as it does not cause complications, no treatment is necessary. However, if it causes visual disturbance or it damages endothelial cells or causes glaucoma or any other intraocular complication, it needs to be treated. In the case of our patient, visual disturbance did occur and we removed the iris cyst through an operation. Such a case has not been reported before in South Korea. 국소 망막신경섬유층결손을 진단하는 데 있어 빛간섭단층촬영기의 테이블지표의 유용성에 대한 연구

Purpose: To evaluate the usefulness of table parameters of Stratus optical coherence tomography (OCT) in order to detect localized retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) defects. Methods: The present study included 86 glaucoma patients with only localized, wedge-shaped RNFL defects, as determined by red-free RNFL photographs. All subjects were tested fast RNFL scans, using of Stratus OCT. The sensitivity of the clock hour parameter and 11 table parameters of RNFL thickness average analysis were compared. Results: The best parameters in the superior table parameter of the Stratus OCT were Smax, Savg, and Smax/Tavg (sensitivity = 36.7%, 36.7%, 36.7%, respectively). The best parameters in the inferior table parameter of the Stratus OCT were Iavg, Imax, and Imax/Smax (sensitivity = 63.8%, 59.4%, and 50.7%, respectively). However, all were significantly lower than the sensitivity of the clock hour parameter (superior RNFL defect: 60%; inferior RNFL defect: 84.1%). Conclusions: The usefulness of the table parameters of the Stratus OCT used to detect localized RNFL defects in glaucoma patients is considered low because of its low sensitivity. 김수환 추기경의 삶과 말씀을 통해 본 평화의 길

이 글은 김수환 추기경의 글과 여러 문헌을 통해 당신이 추구했던 평화의 길이 무엇이었는지 모색한다. 김수환 추기경은 사회 정의를 중시하지만 그것이 평화의 필요충분조건이라고는 생각하지 않는다. 그는 참된 평화가 주어지지 않는 이유가 이웃을 미워하고 사랑할 줄 모르기 때문이라고 말한다. 김수환 추기경에게는 정의가 반드시 사랑과 조화되어야 한다. 마찬가지로 김 추기경은 형제애를 통해 한반도가 세계평화의 원천으로 반전되리라는 기대를 버리지 않는다. 인간 존엄성을 기반으로 한 형제애는 평화의 핵심임을 증거 하는 길이기 때문이다. 김 추기경은 남북 통일 논의에 앞서 남남 화해의 길을 먼저 실천할 것을 제안한다. 사람들이 타도하고 혐오해야 할 타자가 아니라 같은 밥상의 형제자매임을 깨닫는 것이다. 질긴 증오와 불신의 장벽을 걷어내는 ‘김수환 평화의 바람’이 절실한 시대다. Through Cardinal Stephen Kim Sou-hwan"s writings and various church documents, this article explores what the path of peace he pursued was. Cardinal Stephen Kim Sou-hwan values social justice but does not think it is a necessary and sufficient condition for peace. He says the reason true peace is not given is because we hate each other and don"t know how to love our neighbors. For Cardinal Stephen Kim Sou-hwan, justice must be in harmony with love. Likewise, Cardinal Kim does not give up hope that the Korean Peninsula will be turned around as a source of world peace through fraternity. This is because fraternity based on human dignity is the way to prove that it is the core of peace. Cardinal Kim proposes to practice holding the neighbor"s hand one more time before discussing unification because reconciliation in South Korea is a prerequisite for the unification of the two Koreas. He says that our neighbors are not "others" to overthrow and hate, but brothers and sisters at the same table. In an age of distrust and hatred, Kim Sou-hwan"s "Wind of Peace" is desperately needed.

스페인 황금세기의 문학과 예술후원 연구

16~17세기에 걸친 스페인의 황금세기는 해가 지지 않는 제국이 몰락하던 시기에 불멸의 문학과 예술이 탄생했던 모순의 시대이다. 당시의 빛나는 문학과 예술을 탄생시킨 주체가 예술후원자, 즉 메세나였다. 작가와 예술가들은 후원을 받는 대신 작품을 통해 메세나의 위엄과 명예를 고양하였고 더 나아가 지배 이데올로기와 체제를 찬양했다. 황금세기의 첫 메세나는 절대군주의 위엄을 드높이고 신앙을 고취하기 위해 예술을 후원했던 국왕과 가톨릭교회였다. 반면 펠리페 3세와 펠리페 4세 때에는 국사를 총신(寵臣)에게 맡기는 정치가 시작되면서 돈과 권력을 겸비한 유력 귀족들이 후원의 주된 주체로 등장한다. 한편 농촌 인구가 도시로 유입되면서 도시문화가 시작되고 문학을 향유하는 익명의 대중이 후원의 또 다른 주체로 등장한다. 결론적으로, 스페인 황금세기의 문학과 예술후원은 교회와 왕실이 주가 되는 공적 후원, 펠리페 3세 이후 부와 권력을 지닌 귀족층이 주도하는 사적 후원 그리고 도시문화를 배경으로 탄생하는 일반 대중의 공공 후원 등으로 그 신분 주체가 하향 조정되고 있다고 볼 수 있다. 그러나 자본주의 체제가 늦게 자리 잡은 스페인에서 북유럽처럼 시민계급이 시장을 통한 예술후원의 주체로 나서서면 더 많은 시간을 기다려야 했다. 그 결과, 황금세기 이후의 스페인은 문화적 활력을 잃어버리고 기나긴 침체기에 접어들게 된다. The Golden Age of Spain was an epoch of contradictions, in which immortal literature and art were born at the same time as the fall of an empire. It was the mécénats who created a luminous literature and art for their time. The first mécénats of the Golden Age were the King and the Catholic Church who supported the arts in order to elevate the majesty of the monarch and inspire their faith. On the one hand, in the days of Philip III and Philip IV, powerful aristocrats who combined money and power appeared as the main objects of patronage. On the other hand, with a huge influx of people in the cities from the rural areas, an urban culture was born and a broad anonymous mass who appreciated literature and theatre appeared as mécénats. In conclusion, the literary and artistic patronage of the Golden Age of Spain included the official support of the church and the royal family, private sponsorship led by aristocrats with wealth and power since Philip III, and the public support of the broad masses in the context of urban culture. We can see that the class of the mécénats was downgraded. It would take more time for the bourgeoisie to come on the scene as mécénats because of the delayed development of capitalism in Spain. In consequence, Spain lost her cultural vitality after the Golden Age and entered a long period of stagnation in literature and art.

블로그 월드에서 주제 중심의 잠재적 커뮤니티 추출 방안

블로그 월드에는 동일한 주제와 관련된 포스트들과 이 포스트들에 공통적으로 관심을 보이는 블로거들이 존재한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 블로거들과 포스트들의 집합을 블로그 커뮤니티로 정의한다. 블로그 커뮤니티는 타겟 마케팅, 양질의 정보 공유, 블로그 월드의 활성화 등 다양한 블로그 비즈니스 정책을 수립하는데 활용될 수 있다. 블로그 커뮤니티는 카페 등과 달리 멤버십으로 운영되는 집단이 아니기 때문에 커뮤니티에 속하는 멤버를 쉽게 파악할 수 없다. 본 논문에서는 주어진 주제와 관련된 블로그 커뮤니티를 추출하는 효과적인 방법을 제안한다. 먼저, 주어진 주제에 대한 시드 포스트들을 선택하고, 이 시드 포스트들을 통해서 주제와 관련된 블로거들을 선택한다. 다음으로, 선택된 블로거들을 통해서 주제와 관련된 포스트들을 선택한다. 이와 같은 과정을 반복해 나가면서 블로그 월드에 존재하는 주어진 주제와 관련된 블로거들과 포스트들을 선발한다. 본 논문에서는 추출된 블로그 커뮤니티 주제의 정확도를 측정함으로써 제안하는 방법의 우수성을 검증하였다. In blogspace, there are posts that deal with a common topic and bloggers that are interested in these posts. In this paper, we define a blog community as a group of these bloggers and posts. With a blog community, we can establish various business policies for target marketing, sharing high quality data, and mobilizing the activities in the blogspace. Unlike internet cafes, bloggers participate in blog communities without explicit membership. So, it is not easy to identify the members of a community. In this paper, we propose an effective approach for extracting a blog community that is related to a given topic. First, we choose seed posts that is highly related to a given topic, and select bloggers that are related to the topic with the seed posts. Then, we select posts that are related to the topic with the selected bloggers. By repeating this, we find all the posts and bloggers that are members of the community related to a given topic in blogspace. We verify the superiority of the proposed approach by analyzing extracted blog communities.

축소형 초고압 분사 시스템의 노즐 형상에 따른 초음속 액체 제트 분무 특성에 관한 연구

고압관, 가압관, 발사관으로 구성된 Ballistic Range의 일종인 2단식 경가스 총을 사용하여 초음속 액체 제트의 분무 특성을 연구하였다. 135 bar의 압축공기는 고압관과 가압관 사이에 OHP필름으로 구성된 격막을 파열시킨 후 가압관의 발사체를 약 250 m/s의 속도로 가속하였다. 가속된 발사체는 액체 저장부에 충돌하여 액체를 초고압으로 가압한 후 초음속으로 분사시키며, 특히 초음속 액체 제트는 미립화된 다중 제트의 형태를 나타내고 액체 제트 전방 영역에서 충격파를 수반한다. 다양한 분사 노즐의 기하학적 형상에 대한 분무시험결과 초음속 액체 제트의 속도와 충격파 각도가 각각 다르게 생성되었으며, L/d가 9.9, 11.9, 23.8의 조건에 대하여 L/d가 23.8의 경우에 액체 제트의 분사속도가 마하수 1.53으로 가장 낮게 측정되었다. Two-stage light gas gun, sorted with Ballistic Range System, is used to research spray characteristics of supersonic liquid jets. When high pressure tube was pressurized to the 135 bar, diaphragm films which composed with OHP film are ruptured. Expansion gases accelerate a projectile approximately 250 m/s at the exit of pump tube. And accelerated projectile collides with liquid storage part and liquid jets were injected into supersonic conditions. Supersonic liquid jets show the multiple jets and generate shockwave at the forward region of jets. Supersonic liquid jets of speed and shockwave angle have different value at each case. Supersonic liquid jets with minimum velocities are injected with M=1.53 at the geometry condition of L/d=23.8
