In recent years, Magnesium(Mg) and its alloys have become a center of special interest in the automotive industry. Due to their high specific mechanical properties, they offer a significant weight saving potential in modern vehicle constructions. Most Mg alloys show very good machinability and processability, and even the most complicated die casting parts can be easily produced. In this study, Microstructure, Vickers hardness and tensile tests were examined and performed for each specimen to verify effects of forming conditions. Also to verify upsettability and forming limit of the specimen at room temperature and elevated temperature, upsetting experiments were performed. For comparison, experiments at elevated temperature were performed for various Mg alloy, such as AZ31, AZ91, and AM50. The experimental results were compared with those of CAE analysis to propose forming limit of Magnesium alloys.
돌기 튜브 성형을 위한 회전 금형 인발공정에 관한 연구

A rotational drawing die which can form a long tube with spiral grooves on the surface is presented. The main feature of the proposed die is a rotation insert that is embedded into the die container for the die to freely rotate with respect to the drawing centerline as the materials are drawn. We employed a three-dimensional finite element model to investigate the effects of the rotational die on the material filling of spiral grooves. The material used in the finite element analysis was stainless 304. We also performed a pilot drawing test to verify the usefulness of the proposed rotational drawing die. Results reveal that the material filling of spiral grooves by the proposed rotational drawing die was in good agreement for both the finite element analysis and the drawing test. We found that the underfill in a conventional drawing die was reduced in the proposed rotational drawing die.

The performance of cooling tower is affected mainly by the thermal performance of cooling tower. In this paper, designed the shape of new fill based on the shape of plate heat exchanger. A contrast of heat transfer performance is executed by numerical analysed. And fur new fills have been devised and their performance have been compared with those of existing fill to find shape.

Necrotizing fasciitis is a life-threatening, invasive soft-tissue infection that is characterized by widespread, rapidly developing necrosis of the subcutaneous tissue and fascia with relative sparing of the skin and underlying muscle. In type I necrotizing fasciitis, anaerobes and gram negative bacteria are predominant; in the type II form, Group A p-hemolytic streptococcus is a major etiologic agent. It needs immediate surgical intervention for a favorable outcome. A 64-year-old male presented with extremely painful, erythematous, symmetric, tense swelling with yellowish or hemorrhagic blisters on his right upper extremity. Two weeks before the admission, pain on his elbow made him take acupuncture therapy, There was severe tenderness, pitting edema, and his right elbow showed limited flexibility. The patient underwent wide debridement and drainage immediately. Liquefactive necrosis was seen in the subcutaneous fat and superficial fascia without muscular involvement. Group A B-hemolytic streptococci were grown from the tissue culture specimen. (Korean J Dermatol 1998;36(3) 515-519)
