        전기흡착 공정에서 다공성 탄소나노전극의 탈염 특성

        Electrosorption is a promising method for water purification and desalination. Activated carbon electrode with commercially viable mechanical strength, electrosorption capacity, and electrochemical properties were fabricated, and their kinetic characteristics were determined. The carbon electrodes were obtained by coating activated carbon powder with 10 wt% polyvinylidenefluoride (PVdF) binder in a thin sheet-like formulation for the electrosorption process. The electrosorption efficiency of activated carbon electrodes prepared with 10 wt% PVdF was 30% at sodium chloride concentration and applied potential of 200 mg/L and 1.2 V, respectively. Thus, the performance of the ACS electrodes in this study indicates that they are suitable for electrosorption applications.

        조영제 사용 전 피부반응검사 후 발생한 조영제 과민반응의 발생 빈도와 임상 양상

        Purpose: Hypersensitivity reactions to contrast media (CM) are one of the most common causes of drug adverse reactions. The overall prevalence of immediate hypersensitivity reaction (IHR) was 0.16%-7.7% to nonionic CM. Although IHR to CM has been traditionally considered nonallergic, there is growing evidence that the mechanism of IHR to CM is mediated by IgE. It can be severe, even fatal, and a legal problem. To reduce IHR, the prescreening skin test is on the rise. Methods: We reviewed cases of IHR to CM during enhanced computed tomography (CT) from 2008 to 2015 at a secondary hospital in South Korea. Patients who underwent enhanced CT were performed the 2-step prescreening skin test before nonionic CM-enhanced CT. If patients had adverse reactions to CM, the reactions were reported. IHR to CM was defined as an immediate reaction within 1 hour after CM administration. The Ring and Messmer system was used to classify the severity of reactions by grades I to IV, and we defined grades III and IV as severe reactions. Results: A total of 30,105 CM-enhanced CT cases were recruited from 2008 to 2015. A total 46 patients with CM adverse reactions were reported. The IHR were noted in 30 of the total patients (0.1%), of which 6 had severe reaction. Conclusion: The prevalences of IHR and severe IHR to CM were 0.1% and 0.02%, respectively. Further studies are needed to evaluate the usefulness of prescreening skin tests to prevent IHR to CM. (Allergy Asthma Respir Dis 2016:4:442-448)

        제비꽃 추출물의 항산화 활성 및 α-Amylase와 α-Glucosidase에 대한 저해 활성

        민간요법에서 화농성 피부질환이나 염증성 질환에 대해 효과가 있다고 알려진 제비꽃(Viola mandshurica)의 항산화 활성과 항당뇨 활성을 조사하였다. 제비꽃 10 g에 200 mL의 네 가지 용매(메탄올, 에탄올, 아세톤, 물)를 각각 가하여 추출한 다음, 농축하여 각각의 용매별 추출물을 얻었다. 이 용매별 추출물의 총 페놀 함량은 메탄올 추출물이 34.49 ㎎/g 갈산 당량으로 가장 높았고, DPPH 라디칼과 ABTS 라디칼 소거능은 아세톤 추출물이 1,000 ㎍/mL 농도에서 각각 21.13%와 43.53%로 가장 높은 값을 보였다. 환원력의 경우에는 물 추출물이 1,000 ㎍/mL 농도에서 0.454의 값으로 가장 높은 활성을 보였다. 항당뇨 활성은 α-amylase와 α-glucosidase에 대한 저해 활성으로 측정하였는데 아세톤 추출물이 가장 활성이 높았으며 1,000 ㎍/mL 농도에서 모든 효소 활성들을 저해하였다. 이상의 결과로부터 제비꽃 추출물은 항산화능과, 당뇨 관련 효소에 대한 저해능이 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. This study was performed to investigate the physiological activities of Viola mandshurica. V. mandshurica extracts were prepared by extracting with four different solvents (methanol, ethanol, acetone, and water). The methanol extract showed the highest total phenol content (34.49 ㎎/g gallic acid equivalents) among the extracts. The water extract showed the highest reducing power (0.454) at the concentration of 1,000 ㎍/mL. The acetone extract showed the most potent radical scavenging activity. DPPH and ABTS radical scavenging activity of the acetone extract at the concentration of 1,000 ㎍/mL were 21.13% and 43.53%, respectively. The inhibitory activity of acetone extracts against α-amylase and α-glucosidase showed more than 100% at the concentration of 1,000 ㎍/mL. The results indicate that V. mandshurica might have potential antioxidant and anti-diabetic activities.

        오만둥이(Styela plicata) 추출물의 in vitro 세포독성 효과

        오만둥이의 세포독성 효과를 알아보기 위해 신선한 오만둥이를 분쇄하고 동결건조하여 분말 형태로 제조한 후 시료 5 g당 메탄올, 에탄올, 아세톤, 물을 각각 100 mL씩 첨가하여 용매별 추출물을 제조하였다. 이 용매별 추출물을 대장암 세포주인 HT-29 cell에 250 ${\mu}g/mL$ 농도로 각각 처리하여 형태학적인 변화를 관찰한 결과 대조군에 비해 아세톤 추출물에서 세포의 수가 감소하고 그 형태가 응축되는 현상을 관찰할 수 있었고, 이 결과를 바탕으로 100, 250, 500 ${\mu}g/mL$ 농도로 MTT reduction assay를 실시한 결과 아세톤 추출물을 500 ${\mu}g/mL$ 농도로 처리했을 때 6%의 암세포만이 생존하는 것으로 나타나 형태학적인 실험결과와 동일한 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. 아세톤 추출물을 헥산, 디에틸 에테르, 에틸 아세테이트 그리고 물로 분획물을 조제하여 대장암 세포주인 HT-29 cell에 250 ${\mu}g/mL$ 농도로 각각 처리하여 형태학적인 변화를 관찰한 결과 헥산 분획물에서 세포의 형태변화가 가장 크게 나타났으며 250 ${\mu}g/mL$ 농도로 MTT reduction assay를 실시한 결과에서도 5.1%의 암세포만이 존재하는 것으로 나타나 헥산 분획물이 가장 높은 세포독성 효과를 보이는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 다른 암세포주에 대한 영향을 알아보기 위해 헥산 분획물을 SW620, HeLa 및 MCF-7 세포주에 농도별로 처리한 결과, 250 ${\mu}g/mL$ 농도에서 10% 내외의 암세포 생존율을 보여 높은 세포독성 효과를 나타내었으며 특히, HeLa 세포주에서는 생존율이 5.8%로 나타나 매우 높은 활성을 보였다. 이상의 결과를 종합하여 미루어 짐작해 볼 때 오만둥이에 함유된 불포화 지방산 등의 지용성 물질이 암세포주의 성장 억제에 중요한 역할을 하리라 생각된다. 따라서 오만둥이 추출물은 다양한 암세포주에 대해 활성을 가지는 해양생물로서의 잠재적인 가능성을 가진다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. The present study describes the preliminary evaluation of the anticancer activity of Styela plicata. Freeze-dried S. plicata was extracted with methanol, ethanol, acetone, and water, and then anticancer effect of the extracts was measured by the MTT reduction assay and phase-contrast microscopy on the HT-29 human colon carcinoma cells. Among the extracts, acetone extract showed the highest anticancer activity. The cell proliferation rates markedly decreased by 94.0% at the concentration of 500 ${\mu}g/mL$ of acetone extract compared with control cells. The acetone extract was further fractionated with hexane, diethyl ether, ethyl acetate, and water layer according to the degree of polarity. The HT-29 cells with hexane layer extract (250 ${\mu}g/mL$) decreased the cell viability to 5.1% of untreated control. The growth of SW620, HeLa, and MCF-7 cells was decreased to about 10%, by the treatment of hexane layer extract 250 ${\mu}g/mL$. Theses results suggest extracts from S. plicata as possible natural cancer therapeutic material.

        직업관련 그림책을 활용한 역할놀이가 유아의 진로인식 및 의사결정력에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 직업관련 그림책을 활용한 역할놀이가 유아의 진로인식 및 의사결정력에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 G광역시 소재 G, M 어린이집의 2개 반 만 5세 유아 40명(실험집단20명, 비교집단 20명)이었다. 연구결과 직업관련 그림책을 활용한 역할놀이를 실시한 실험집단의 유아가 직업관련 그림책을 활용한 일반적인 이야기나누기를 실시한 비교집단 유아보다 진로인식 및 의사결정력에서 유의미한 결과를 나타냈다. 이러한 연구결과는 직업관련 그림책을 활용한 역할놀이가 효과적이라는 것을 밝힘으로써 유아교육 현장에서 직업관련 그림책을 활용한 역할놀이를 보다 다양하게 활용할 필요가 있음을 시사한다. This study aimed to examine the effect of education method applying role play on children, by identifying the effects of role play utilizing job-related picture books on young children`s career awareness and decision making ability. The subjects of the present study were total 40 children of five years old (20 in an experimental group, 20 in a comparative group) from two classes of G and M kindergarten in G metropolitan city. The Instrument of this study For young children`s career awareness test, a research tool was used, which Lim, Yeon-Jeong (2011) reconstructed based on a questionnaire on child`s awareness of their parent`s job which Beach(1988) originally used. And The Instrument of this study For young children`s decision making ability test, Young Children`s Decision Making Ability Test for Teachers was used, which was developed by Park, Ji-Yeong(2012). The collected data were analyzed by t-test using SPSS 20.0 program. As a results of study, children who examine the effect of education method applying role play on children, by identifying the effects of role play utilizing job-related picture books showed significant results in career awareness and decision making ability. These study results showed that education method applying role play utilizing job-related picture books was effective, and consequently suggested that it was necessary to more diversely apply role play utilizing job-related picture books in the field of early childhood education.

        대체 감미료를 활용한 저당 유자 시럽 제조 및 이화학적 특성 조사

        Yuzu (Citrus junos) undergoes traditional processing to create preserved yuzu with a sugar content of 50%. This study aimed to produce low-sugar yuzu syrup using artificial or natural sweeteners instead of sugar. Among artificial sweeteners, maltitol showed minimal browning and lack of deposition at high temperatures. The addition of xanthan gum (0.2%) and carboxymethyl cellulose (0.2%) resolved the issue of layer separation and viscosity decrease of yuzu syrup. Alternatively, grain syrup, a natural sweetener, improved viscosity and homogeneity without the additives. Yuzu syrups were developed using yuzu juice and preserved yuzu, with maltitol (20~40%) or grain syrup (50~70%) as the sweetener. Yuzu syrups containing 35% maltitol (M35) or 55% grain syrup (G55) had less than 5% and 10% free sugar, respectively. These syrups exhibited taste patterns similar to commercial yuzu syrup in analysis using an electronic tongue. Furthermore, M35 and G55 contained yuzu flavonoids at concentrations of 19.82 mg/g and 24.09 mg/g, respectively. Antioxidant activity (DPPH, ABTS radical scavenging) of M35 and G55 was equivalent to 10.55, 17.59 mg/100 g of Vitamin C and 97.39, 33.92 mg/100 g of Vitamin C, respectively. Consequently, M35 and G55 offer promising alternatives to preserved yuzu, providing low-sugar yuzu syrups enriched with functional ingredients.
