The fire effectiveness and the operationability of the ground weapon system (such as tank, armored vehicle, howitzer, MLRS, ${\cdots}$), whose operations are usually happened on the ground, are dependent not only on their performances but also on the terrain environments. Especially, the artillery weapons systems' effectiveness is largely varied, because their maneuverability (such as translation, occupation of their sites) and the fire effectiveness are very dependent on the terrain. In this paper, presented are the methods how to analyze the terrain using the digital terrain data. And a software (which are implemented on the IBM PC compatible personal computer) is developed for the analysis of the terrain using the various method of computer Aided Geometric Design and Modeling. The S/W is expected to be very useful for the evaluation of the artillery weapon systems and for the commanders' decision making.

N/A Electrical properties of carbon filler/PVdF {poly(vinylidene fluoride)}composite were investigated as a funtion of carbon filler/PVdF ratio in the range of 0.2~0.5. Three kinds of comercialzied conductive carbon blacks such as Hiblack 41Y, KE300J, and KE600J, and carbon nanofibers prepared by the catalytic chemical vapor deposition of C_(2)H_(4) over Ni-Cu catalysts were in the range of 0.65 to 13.5 S/cm depending the fillers` electrical conductivity ranging from 5.6 to 23.1 S/cm. Among the carbon fillers used, the KE600J carbon black showed the highest conductivity both in the composite and filler itself because of its high degree of graphitization due to the high-temperature thermal treatment and its high surface area due to the activation treatment.
선박 건조에서 소조립 자동 용접 지원을 위한 설계 용접선과 작업 구조물 매핑 방법

The welding process is the most time and cost consuming process and the quality of welding is also an important issue in shipbuilding. In order to improve these problems, welding automation robots are widely used. For welding automation, it is necessary to make the welding line of the design data into the robot coordinate system so that the robot can work. In this study, we propose a method to generate welding paths using a lightweight model and a point cloud. Welding lines are extracted using the lightweight model already built for digital collaboration in shipyards. And the work targets are recognized using the point cloud data obtained from the depth camera. Through the grid construction, noise is removed from the measured data, and stiffeners and boundary data are generated. Weld lines are mapped to work targets using ICP (iterative closest point). This proposed method has been tested on several real models to demonstrate the feasibility.

The welding process is the most time and cost consuming process and the quality of welding is also an important issue in shipbuilding. In order to improve these problems, welding automation robots are widely used. In general, the information of weld lines is received from the CAD system for welding automation in shipbuilding. In this study, we propose a method of generating weld lines for block assembly using a lightweight model that is already used in various processes in shipyards. The lightweight model is made for visualization purposes and has no information other than triangular elements. The shape is determined using the angle with the adjacent element, the part type is defined, and the ship coordinate system is converted into the working coordinate system. The sections are divided considering the workable range of the welding robot, and the welding lines are generated according the sections. This proposed method has been tested on several real models to demonstrate the feasibility.

Secondary amyloidosis is characterized by accumulation of an amorphous proteinous material in the various tissue and organs with infectious disease or inflammatory disease. Symptoms of the amyloidosis are variable according to the involved organs. Reactive amyloidosis of bladder in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a rare condition with hematuria in the most cases. However, we report two cases of patients with RA, who have frequency due to secondary amyloidosis of bladder without hematuria. Therefore secondary amyloidosis of urinary bladder should be considered as a possible cause of frequency in patients with long-term RA.
결핵성 흉막염에서 Soluble Interleukin-2R, Interleukin-6 및 Adenosine Deaminase의 변화에 관한 연구

Background: The aim of this study is to evaluate the value of interleukin-6 (IL-6), Soluble interleukin-2 receptor (sIL-2R) and adenosine deaminase in diagnosing tuberculos pleurisy and in differentiating it from malignant pleural effusion, and to find out mutual relationships between the three parameters. Methods: We investigated the level of IL-6, sIL-2R and ADA in various pleural diseases. Included were 77 subjects with pleural effusion (57 bopsy proven tuberculous pleurisy, 9 malignant pleural effusion, 5 empyema, 4 parapneumonic effusion, 1 paragonimiasis and 1 pancreatitis). IL-6 was measured by Quantikine human IL-6 (R&D systems), sIL-2R by h-interleukin-2-receotor ELISA (Boehringer Manheim biochemica) and ADA by Giusti`s colorimetric method. Results: The level of IL-6 was significantly higher in tuberculous effusion (25,593±17,352 pg/ml) than that of malignant effusion (5,800±3,485 pg/ml, p < 0.001). IL-6 was also increased in empyema fluids (74,080±48, 569 pg/ml). The level of sIL-2R was significantly higher in tuberculous effuson (877±430 pmol/l) than that of 20 nontuberculous effusion (259±230 pmol/L, p<0.001). The level of ADA was also higher in tuberculous effusion (82.4±26.9 U/L) than that of nontuberculous effusion (18.8±11.6 U/L, p<0.001). Levels of both ADA and sIL-2R were lower in malignant effusion (16.4±9.66 U/L, 229+171 pmol/L) than those of tuberculous effusion. The sensitivity and specificity of IL-6 in discriminating tuberculosis from malignancy were 84% and 100% respectively (cut-off value: 10000 pg/ml). Those of sIL-2R were 87% and 77% (cut-off value: 350 pmol/L). ADA was most valuable in differentiating tuberculosis from malignancy, sensitivity and specificity of which were 100% (cut-off value: 40 U/L). The correlation coefficient of sIL-2R and IL-6 was 0.3822 (p=0.001). Conclusion: It was suggested that assay of IL-6, sIL-2R and ADA could play an implemental role in differential diagnosis of tuberculous pleural effusion. Increased level of the three parameters and significant correlations between them were suggestive of the involvement of activated T cells in tuberculous pleural effusion.
