경사에코자기공명영상을 이용한 뇌미만성 축삭 손상 환자의 예후 분석

Objective : The authors have studied the clinical outcome of patients with diffuse axonal injuries(DAI) to evaluate the prognostic value of gradient-echo MR imaging findings. Materials and Methods : From March 1995 to March 1998, there were nineteen patients with DAI whose initial Glasgow coma scales were eight or less. Authors divided them into two groups according to Glasgow outcome scales ; those patients with GOS 3 or less(group A ; 9) and those with 4 or more(group B ; 10). We subdivided the lesions as superficial and deep lesion, and analyzed the numbers, anatomical loci of the lesions on the gradient echo images of each group. Results : Mean numbers of the lesions were 15 per case in group A(135/9) and 10 in group B(100/10). The common loci involved in DAI were cerebral cortex, brain stem, and corpus callosum. Cortical lesions were 31.1% in group A(42/135) and 47% in group B(47/100). Brain stem lesions were 25.9%(35/135) and 15%(15/100) each. Callosal lesions were 31.1%(26/135) and 13%(13/100) each. The frequency of callosal and brain stem lesions was significantly different between two groups(p<0.05). We divided callosal lesions as genu, body, and splenium and body lesions as anterior, middle, posterior, but no significant topographical difference of lesions was observed between two groups. Deep lesions were observed more frequently in group A(58.5%, 79/135) than group B(36%, 36/100). Conclusion : The poor outcome group showed more numbers of lesion and more frequent involvement of brain stem and corpus callosum than favorable outcome group. Gradient-echo MR imaging seems to have predictive value for clinical outcome in patients with DAI.

Spontaneous spinal epidural hematoma is rare disease and usually presents with a progressive neurological syndrome for which surgical decompression is usually indicated. The cause of bleeding in epidural hematoma remains unknown in most of the cases. The most frequently identified risk factor is coagulopathy or treatment with anticoagulants. Recently, authors experienced a case of spontaneous spinal epidural hematoma with intraoperative profuse bleeding at the cervicothoracic location. Laboratory examination showed no evidence of coagulopathy or hepatic disease. On neurologic examination, left hemiparesis(Grade : II) and left side sensory change were noted. On MRI scan, there was a mass of high signal intensity in T2WI and isosignal intensity in T1WI compressing the cord to left side. The patients had good surgical outcome after decompressive laminectomy and hematoma removal.
각종 미강 추출물들의 항고혈압성 엔지오텐신 전환효소 저해 활성

각종 미강 추출물들의 항고혈압성 엔지오텐신 전환효소 저해 활성을 측정하고 이들의 추출 최적조건을 검토하였다. 각종 미강 추출물들중에서 일품벼 미강의 물 추출물이 77%의 가장 높은 안지오텐신 전환효소 저해활성 보였다. 일품벼 미강중의 안지오텐신 전환효소 저해물질은 물을 1:10(w/v)으로 미강 분말에 첨가한 후 $30^{\circ}C$에서 12시간 추출하였을 때 가장 많이 용출되었다. Angiotensive I-converting enzyme inhibitory activity of various extracts from some rice brans were investigated with its optimal extraction conditions. Water extracts of Ilpumbyeo rice bran showed the highest ACE inhibitory activities of 7730%. ACE inhibitor from Ilpumbyeo rice bran was maximally extracted when its powder was treated with 10 times of distilled water for 12h at $30^{\circ}C$.

PDA-calcium phosphate 평판배지를 이용하여 인산가용화활성을 가진 850종의 세균을 분리한 후 인광석에 대한 인산가용활성이 가장 강한 HS-2 균주를 선발하였다. 선정 균주의 형태학적, 배양학적 및 생리생화학적 특성 등을 조사한 결과 Azotobacter sp. HS-2로 동정되었고, 이 균주을 인광석을 0.1%함유한 Potato dextrose Broth배지 (pH 6.0)에 접종하여 $30^{\circ}C$에서 5일 배양했을 때 인광석이 가장 많이 분해되었고 0.5M의 수산을 첨가했을 때 분해율이 약 50% 증가되었다. 850 strains of phosphate-solubilizing bacteria were isolated from soil of Chung-nam and Daejeon region using 0.5% calcium phosphate containing medium. The HS-2 strain with the highest rock phosphate-solubilizing activity was selected and identified as Azotobacter sp. HS-2 based on the microbiological characteristics. The optimum culture temperature and initial pH of medium for solubilization of rock phosphate were $30^{\circ}C$ and pH 6.0-7.0, respectively. Addition of oxalic acid(0.5M) into the PDB-rock phosphate medium increased 50% solubilization of rock phosphate.

This thesis focuses on the study of high-power, coupled-cavity traveling-wave tube(CCTWT) for radar applications. The CCTWT employed a reentrant double-slot staggered RF cavity structure. Computational analysis of the X-band, double-slot staggered structures is carried out through the use of HFSS code, which solves Maxwell's equations fully in three-dimensions. The non-linear, large-signal performance of CCTWTs are predicted from numerical simulations using a three-dimensional particle-in-cell code, MAGIC3D. With beam voltage set to 12.7~13kV and beam current at 300mA, the CCTWT produces a saturated radiation power of 350~430W, corresponding to an electronic efficiency of 8.9~11.2% and a gain of 23.7~24.2dB within a frequency range of 7.9~8.4GHz.

In this paper, a ground penetrating radar(GPR) system is implemented for landmine detection. The performance of the GPR system is associated with the characteristics of local soil and buried target. The choice of the center frequency and the bandwidth of the GPR system are the key factors in the GPR system design. To detect a small and shallow target, the higher frequencies are needed for high depth resolution. We have been designed, fabricated and tested a new impulse generator using step recovery diodes. The measured impulse response has an amplitude of 6.2V and a pulse width of 250ps. The implemented GPR system has been tested real environmental conditions and has proved its ability to detect a small buried target.
고조파 제어 회로를 이용한 X-대역 전력 증폭기의 효율 개선에 관한 연구

본 논문에서는 간단하면서도 효과적인 능동적인 로드 풀(active load-pull) 방법을 제시하고, 고조파의 임피던스 성분을 제어하는 회로를 사용하여, X-대역 전력 증폭기의 효율을 개선시킬 수 있는 방법에 관하여 연구하였다. 제안된 능동적인 로드 풀 시스템은 크게 방향성 결합기와 위상 변위기, 단락 회로, 그리고 전력 증폭기로 구성되어 있으며, 전통적인 능동적인 로드 풀 방법에 비해 반사 계수가 1인 지점까지 임피던스를 쉽게 가져다 놓을 수 있다. 본 논문에서 사용된 소자는 Mitsubishi사의 GaAs FET인 MGF1801이며, 9 ㎓의 동작 주파수에서 class-A일 때, 21.65 ㏈m의 출력 전력과 24.9 %의 드레인 효율을 얻었고, class-AB일 때, 21.46 ㏈m의 출력 전력과 53.3%의 드레인 효율을 얻었다. 고조파 제어 회로는 실험에 사용된 초고주파 부품의 주파수 대역폭의 한계로 인해, 2차와 3차 항 성분까지만 고려하여 설계하였으며, class-AB에서, 6.4 %의 효율이 증가된 것을 확인하였다. In this paper, a simple and effective active load-pull method is proposed, and the method to improve the efficiency of X-band power amplifier using harmonic control circuit is presented. The proposed active load-pull system mainly consists of directional coupler, phase shifter, short circuit, and power amplifier, and allows a user to access reflection coefficients near the edge of the Smith chart(Γ=1) easily. The device used in this paper is Mitsubishi's GaAs FET MGF1801, and the operating frequency of the power amplifier is 9 ㎓, The amplifier had output power of 21.65 ㏈m and drain efficiency of 24.9 % at class-A, and had output power of 21.46 ㏈m and drain efficiency of 53.3 % at class-AB. Harmonic control circuit is designed only second and third harmonic components because of the bandwidth limitation of the microwave components. The drain efficiency is improved as much as 6.4 % compared with class-AB power amplifier.
