        Purpose : The purpose of this study was to evaluate stress fracture of vascularized fibular grafts(VFG) by analyzing factors associated with stress fracture and the treatment results. Materials and Methods : From June 1985 to May 1998, 7 patients with stress fractures in the 38 patients with long bone defect who had vascularized fibular graft were evaluated with clinical and radiologic methods including grafted fibular length and hypertrophic index of de Boer. The average age of the patients was 35 years(range, $14{\sim}60$ years). The mean follow-up period was 20 months(range, $16{\sim}32$ months). Results: 7(18.4%) stress fractures occurred in 38 patients. Characteristics of the fractures were (1) all occurred at lower extremity of male patients treated with VFG for long bone defected caused by infected nonunion; (2) all occurred 10 months at the average(range, $4{\sim}17$ months) after VFG; and (3) the length and hypertrophic index of grafted fibula had no influence on the incidence of stress fracture. Union was obtained in 3 patients by conservative treatment. 4 patients obtained union by internal fixation; one at immediately onset of fracture; and three after failure of conservative treatment who had fracture around the knee joint. Conclusion : Stress fracture may occur during the first one year after vascularized fibular graft and more attention must be paid for prevention of it, especially in the cases of infected nonunion. Stress fracture around the knee joint was expected to lead to a good result of early union by operative treatment.

        剩餘數體系를 이용한 자승오차 패턴 클러스터링 프로세서의 실현

        패턴인식과 영상처리 응용에 이용되는 자승오차 패턴 클러스터링 알고리듬은 특징벡터 행렬의 연산에 상당한 처리시간은 요구한다. 그러므로 본 논문은 병렬처리와 파이프라인 특성을 갖는 잉여수체계를 이용한 고속의 자승오차 패턴 클러스터링 프로세서를 제안한다. 제안된 자승오차 패턴 클러스터링 프로세서는 영상분할 실험으로부터 의미있는 영역으로 나눌 수 있는 클러스터의 수에 대하여 만족할 만한 오차를 보이며 80287 수치 연산용 프로세서보다 약 200배 빠름을 보인다. 그 결과 대규모의 데이타를 실시간으로 처리하여야 하는 응용분야에 효과적으로 이용할 수 있음을 확인하였다. Squared-error Pattern Clustering algorithm used in unsupervised pattern recognition and image processing application demands substantial processing time for operation of feature vector matrix. So, this paper propose the fast squared-error Pattern Clustering Processor using the Residue Number System which have been the nature of parallel processing and pipeline. The proposed Squared-error Pattern Clustering Processor illustrate satisfiable error rate for Cluster number which can be divide meaningful region and about 200 times faster than 80287 coprocessor from experiments result of image segmentation. In this result, it is useful to real-time processing application for large data.

        Microarray와 Network 분석을 통한 병원균 및 스트레스 저항성 관련 주요 유전자의 대량 발굴

        브라시노스테로이드는 식물의 생장과 발육 과정에 있어서 중요한 역할을 담당 할 뿐 아니라 생물학적/ 비 생물학적 스트레스에 대한 복합 저항성을 보인다고 알려져 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 브라시노스테로이드와 광범위스트레스 내성을 연결하는 중요한 생물학적 네트워크를 이해하기 위해, Agilent Arabidopsis $4{\times}44K$ oligo chip을 이용하여 브라시노스테로이드 신호가 강화된 bes1-D 계통의 전 전사체 비교분석을 수행하였다. 그 결과 bes1-D 계통에서 DEGs (Differentially Expressed Genes)를 1,091 (562 up-regulated, 529 down-regulated) 개 선발하였다. 또한 선발된 유전자들의 GO 와 단백질 상호작용 네트워크 분석을 통해 대사, 발달, 스트레스, 면역, 방어 반응에 관련된 주요 브라시노스테로이드 신호전달과 연결된 스트레스 관련 유전자군을 분리하였다. 선발된 유전자중 NB-ARC와 FLS2는 bes1-D 계통이 야생형 En-2 계통에 비해 약 6배 정도의 발현량이 증가되었으며, TIR1, TSA1, OCP3 유전자등은 bes1-D 계통이 야생형 En-2 계통에 비해 발현이 감소되었다. 또한 브라시노스테로이드 활성형 계통이 야생형 식물체 계통에 비해 가뭄 스트레스 및 병원균에 대해 저항력이 향상되었다. 따라서 microarray 분석을 통한 유전자 간 발현 네트워크와 유전체 정보를 결합하여 대단위 주요 기능 유전자들을 동정할 수 있는 방법을 고안하여 실험에 사용하였다. 이를 통해 기능 획득 돌연변이 bes1-D가 식물들이 다양한 스트레스 환경에 적응할 수 있는 반응을 조절한다는 사실을 보여주고 있다. Brassinosteroid (BR), a plant steroid hormone, plays key roles in numerous growth and developmental processes as well as tolerance to both abiotic and biotic stress. To understand the biological networks involved in BR-mediated signaling pathways and stress tolerance, we performed comparative genome-wide transcriptome analysis of a constitutively activated BR bes1-D mutant with an Agilent Arabidopsis $4{\times}44K$ oligo chip. As a result, we newly identified 1,091 (562 up-regulated and 529 down-regulated) significant differentially expressed genes (DEGs). The combination of GO enrichment and protein network analysis revealed that stress-related processes, such as metabolism, development, abiotic/biotic stress, immunity, and defense, were critically linked to BR signaling pathways. Among the identified gene sets, we confirmed more than a 6-fold up-regulation of NB-ARC and FLS2 in bes1-D plants. However, some genes, including TIR1, TSA1 and OCP3, were down-regulated. Consistently, BR-activated plants showed higher tolerance to drought stress and pathogen infection compared to wild-type controls. In this study, we newly developed a useful, comprehensive method for large-scale identification of critical network and gene sets with global transcriptome analysis using a microarray. This study also showed that gain of function in the bes1-D gene can regulate the adaptive response of plants to various stressful conditions.

        서울 지역 고등학생 및 대학생을 대상으로 한 패스트푸드업체의 '스타마케팅' 광고효과 분석

        The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of celebrity endorsers used in fast food industry among highschool and undergraduate students. By taking the sample's age and income into consideration, the advertisement examples of fast food industries were chosen for this study. Data was collected by questionnaires from 400 students. For statistical analysis, the SPSS V19.0 was used for reliability and factor analysis, chi-square test and regression analysis. The results are as follows: First, there was a significant difference (p<0.01) in advertising effects according to gender and education level. Out of the consumers who were exposed to celebrity endorsers, the highschool students and women showed higher advertising effects. Second, the advertising attitude was positively related to brand images (F: 479.680, p<0.01) and buying intentions (F: 1101.427, p<0.01) as well as brand images on purchase intentions (F: 492.175, p<0.01). In conclusion, the consumers with positive attitudes towards advertisements will also evaluate brand images positively and be more likely to purchase the products.

        팽창식 튜브를 부착한 6m급 스포츠 보트 개발에 관한 연구

        The 6m class high speed boat is developed with a durable hull and inflatable tube, which is called RIB(Rigid Inflatable Boat), for the purpose of marine leisure. In the stage of the conceptual design, its requirements to be optimized are determined based on the presented information of similar marine leisure RIBs. The 3-D graphical technique using Marine Rhino is utilized to optimize the compartment layout of RIB. The stability analysis is performed for the light and full load conditions with and without the inflatable tube. In addition, the sea keeping and hydrodynamic performance was tested using the proto-type ship in the sea condition. From the results of the computation and the sea trial test, it shows that the performance of the marine leisure RIB satisfies the speed, the convenience, and the stability requirements. This study provides the typical information of the design factors and the procedure to manufacture the marine leisure RIB.

        RF 스퍼터링 시스템을 이용하여 증착한 비정질 Ga<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> 박막의 급속 열처리 조건에 따른 결정성과 광학적 특성 변화

        The Ga<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> thin films were deposited using an RF sputtering system and the effect of crystallographic and optical properties under rapid thermal annealing conditions on Ga<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> thin film was evaluated. A rapid thermal annealing method can fabricate a crystalline Ga<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> thin film which is applied to various fields with a low cost and a high efficiency compared with the conventional post-annealing method. In this study, the Ga<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> treated at 900℃ for 1 min showed the beta and gamma phases in XRD measurement. In optical properties, the crystalline Ga<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> represented a high transmittance of more than 80% in the visible region and was calculated with a high optical bandgap energy of 4.58 eV. The beta and gamma phases Ga<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> can be obtained by adjusting the rapid thermal annealing temperatures, and the various properties such as the optical bandgap energy can be controlled. Moreover, it is expected that crystalline Ga<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> can be applied to various devices by controlling not only temperature but process time.

      • 고압 전기감전시 발생한 수근관절 주위의 진구성 연부조직 결손에 대한 유리 피판술

        With the advent of microvascular free-tissue transfer, this single stage resurfacing method for large scar and soft tissue defects around the wrist in the patients of electrical burn has distinctive advantage over the conventional multistage pedicle-flap transfer. Between 1992 and 1996, we treated 9 cases of 8 patients who had large scar around the wrist due to old electrical burn with free flaps as a preparation of staged tendon graft. Mean age was 30.3 years and average scar area was $6{\times}11cm$. The length of time the injury and free flaps was 9 months on an average. Prior to the free flap, we performed the angiography to all patients in order to evaluate the circulation of the forearm and hand and to choose the recipient vessel. In all cases, proximal ulnar arteries in the forearm remained intact and all radial arteries remained intact in 8 of 9 cases on angiogram. The interosseous arteries were well visualized in all cases. We used the ulnar arteries as a recipient artery. The types of flaps used were f scapular cutaneous flaps, 2 dorsalis pedis flaps and a radial forearm flap. Flap survial was 100 percents with satisfactory functional and cosmetic results. Free flaps using ulnar artery as a recipient artery is one of the useful reconstruction methods for the resurfacing of large scar around the wrist in the patients of old electrical burn.

      • 전방골간신경 증후군: 수술적으로 치료한 7예에 대한 임상적 고찰

        Purpose: The etiology and treatment strategy of the anterior interosseous nerve (AIN) syndrome are still controversial. Seven patients with the AIN syndrome who were treated by surgical exploration and neurolysis were reviewed at a mean of 35.9 months follow up period. Materials & Methods: There were six men and one woman. The mean age was 37.3 years, ranging from 26 to 59. No patient was related to trauma and associated neurological lesion. Surgical exploration was performed at 7.7 months after onset of paralysis. Results: All except one patients experienced pain around the elbow region before the onset of the palsy. On 7 patients, only the flexor pollicis longus was paralysed in 1, only the index flexor digitorum profundus in 2, and none had paralysis of the middle. The most common compression structures were fibrous bands within flexor digitorum sublimis arcade. However there was no demonstrable abnormality in three. Recovery was complete in all cases within 12 months after surgery. Conclusion: We recommended surgical exploration and neurolysis in patients who have shown no improvement after 6 months of conservative treatment. And careful preoperative examination is essential to avoid misdiagnosis and inappropriate surgery, especially in incomplete AIN syndrome.

        유동과 전기장 내에서의 액체입자의 거동과 전기장이 입자의 산란에 미치는 영향에 관한 수치적 연구

        Charged liquid particle's behavior in electric and flow field was simulated to define the effect of electric field on the contact area and its dispersion. For the simulation of flow and electric field finite volume method was applied. To find out the particle's moving path in that field lagrangian equation of motion was solved by Runge-Kutta methods. We assumed that the particle was charged 10% of Rayleigh limit while the particle passing through the electrode and the particle does not have an effect on the electric field. In case of 30[Kv] of voltage charging the particles injected from the central 60% of the nozzle injection area adhere to the grounded moving plate and no dispersion occurred. Increasing the charged voltage to 40[Kv], it brought about the same phenomena as that of 30[Kv] charging except the dispersion. Voltage increasing from 30[Kv] to 40 [Kv] caused higher Coulomb force acts on the particle and it made the particle dispersion.
